Lottery Winner helps Homeless

As I walked into the banquet hall of the
Goodman’s Inn, the first thing that stood
out to me were the eyes of the people. I
felt as though I could actually see hope. Eyes
seemed to sparkle and everyone in the hall
sat talking to the others sitting around them
as they waited for the main course of the evening.
To understand this report we need to go back just
over a year ago when Lindsey Long won the 50
million dollar lottery. Apparently the multimillionaire
booked the Goodman’s Inn for December 24th through
to January 2nd of this year solely to house the homeless
over the Christmas holidays. Miss Long walked through
the streets herself over the last week inviting the
unfortunate homeless to come to the motel for these
festivities. Lindsey Long has not only provided the rooms
for this week, she also has clothed them with new
wardrobes and warm winter clothing and accessories.
Now as the people sat around the table they were
told Miss Long had an announcement. We all waited
to hear what this amazing lady had to say
and excitement filled the room. When this
beautiful young woman began to talk there
wasn’t one dry eye in the building. She told them
how she was not going to just send them back
on the street next week but how she had
built a new centre that would have sleeping
facilities and showers to accommodate all
of them. This new facility will be serving
three meals a day which will be prepared solely
from themselves on a voluntary bases.
The feeling in the Inn that night was pure joy
and as the people realized the impact of this
wonderful news, they all broke out singing
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear. This is
 Rhonda Reeds reporting for
 The Good Newspaper.
 Merry Christmas everyone.

After Christmas 2014 - In the Moment

The time is after midnight, and I’m in the moment, thinking how another Christmas has come and gone. My spouse and I are tucked in bed, warm and cozy. Outside, white beauty coldly blankets our front lawn. Snickers, our new dog, sleeps peacefully between us. The cat creeps up beside me now. How I love her! How trusting are these creatures God gives us - how pure! Our cat lies down by Snickers. I hear her soothing purr. The visit with our daughter and her family was nice. With gifts, glad hearts and tummies full, we traveled home. More memories to cherish; the old year passes. In the moment - grateful - I finish with this poem. A Happy Christmas Story

Time now Mama, get the tree,
Hand the box of ornaments to me,
I'll put them on the tree most carefully,
It'll be super pretty, just you see!

Colorful balls, red, gold and green,
Lights are the brightest I've ever seen!
Santa will be happy, he won't be mean,
We'll put out cookies with frosting in between.

Time now Mama, hang stocking with care,
If he brings me candy, you know I'll share.
Garland and tinsel, we must prepare,
Christmas is coming, Mama we almost there!

Elf on the shelf, I'll find him tonight,
Out the window, the world is turning white.
There is Rudolphs nose shining red and bright.
I'll go to bed Mama and stay out of sight.

Colors and sounds greet the day.
In my pajamas I get to stay.
Presents and toys, I just want to play.
Together with you Mama, and I like it that way

Life's a Ball

(Written to the rhythm of The Things that I Love, if you want to sing along!)

Eating black licorice and cake with thick frosting!
Not doing so many things too exhausting.
Trying out ice creams in flavors galore!
I’m always doing the things I adore.

Viewing good dramas that make my heart flutter.
Watching those movies with popcorn and butter.
Finding myself in a huge discount store!
I’m always doing the things I adore.

When it’s Christmas or my birthday,
That’s the best of all!
I always feel happy and now you know why:
Because I think life’s a ball!

Petting a kitty, curled up warm and cozy.
Doing my e-mails or writing a poesy.
Wave-running, sunbathing, down by a shore.
I’m always doing the things I adore.

Seeing God’s wonders - like sunsets and flowers.
Looking at paintings or reading for hours.
Dancing and laughing, and oh, so much more. . .
I’m always doing the things I adore!

When it’s Christmas or my birthday,
That’s the best of all.
I always feel happy and now you know why:
Because I think life’s a ball.
Yes, life is just a ball!

Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Down

To the tune of "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town"

You better look up,
prepare for His sight.
The Lord will come back
some day or some night.
Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Down.

He's making a list.
He's paid the great price.
Who's going in route
to His paradise?
Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Down.

He sees you when you're breathing.
He knows you need His grace.
He knows that we have all been bad,
but He died to take our place.

With bright Seraphim and bright Cherubim,
Trumpy trumpets, and drummy drum drums,
Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Down.

He sees you when you're weeping.
He offers His embrace.
He knows you like nobody else,
yet He loves you anyway.

You better not doubt.
You wanna know why?
Your life could end soon.
There's no second try.
Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Down

My worst Date

Twas winter ninety-seven, all around the town
Houses lit up magically, parties all around.
Boyfriend says, come with me, to works Christmas dinner,
Dress up chic and sexy, looking like a winner.

Hair all done up, makeup on, gown that fits just right
We’ll impress his colleagues, I was such a pretty sight.
Ushered to our table, we sat with others there
Such a lovely evening, a truly posh affair.

Delicious food, friends were made, laughter filled the air,
A real nice Christmas party, memories to share.
Then came all the speeches, boring us all to death,
The best part was the here here’s, sniffing wines sweet breath.

Finally was time to dance, music filled the night,
Dancing in my ball gown which now was fitting tight.
Time and time we danced that night, in each other’s arms,
Him with me and me with him, showing off our charms.

Suddenly I laughed so hard, teeth went flying out,
Slide across the dance floor, feet pushing them about.
In a flash down on my knees, scurrying about,
Found the little suckers, and popped them in my mouth.

At the time I hoped and prayed nobody had seen,
When I popped them in my mouth, and where they had been.
Looking back, now I laugh, thinking it was funny,
I’m happy now my mouth can say “C’est la vie.

Snow

Snow sprinkles the ground

as delicate as sugar

crystallizing the exterior with a romantic heritage

only found in the heart of a child's imagination.

Like happiness it can melt in your hands,

and like happiness it can grow bitter like the ice you slip on

Forming miraculously to the curves of the earth

hugging till the land soaks in it's providence

white like the pages I battle with

Falling so passionately you'd think it was falling in love with the ground

And when it lands,

A blanket of perfection

glistening the season to a crisp

gently the sun arises

"there's no where to go today,

I'm just going to sit and enjoy the magic."

Happy Birthday Jesus

Long ago, one Christmas morn, in a stable a child was born
Innocent, helpless and small
How could we believe He’d someday die to save us all?
On His mother He depended for his every need
How then could we imagine it would be by His blood alone that we’d be freed?
Growing up in a time and place so different from Heaven above
Living and dying here on Earth, what a symbol of His love.

To the cross He lovingly went
Knowing it was for our sins alone that He had been sent
Dragging His cross up to that hill where men were condemned to die
Jesus, our Savior suffered the fate while we were all passed by.

“King of the Jews,” that’s what the sign had read.
Hanging just above His thorn crowned head.
Blood spilled from nail driven hands and feet
As Christ suffered a death most bitter and sweet.

The pain and agony He lovingly endured
To give us the gift of salvation, most blessedly assured.
He never counted the cost of a price that was oh so high
Giving up His last breath so we may never have to die.

Today He walks amongst us, having conquered the grave.
Loving, hoping and waiting for us to accept the gift that He gave
When on that day so long ago He died in our place
Proving the power of God’s most amazing grace.

So this Christmas morning before you race for the tree
Take a moment to thank God for Jesus, for the gift of life eternally.
But don’t stop there, unwrap that gift of salvation today
What better way is there to tell Jesus………Happy Birthday?!

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

Choose to be Happy

Choose to be Happy

I am happy because I choose to be; my life is far from perfect.

Others are content but I make conscious choices to be Happy and to be a positive person.

You don’t have to be rich or have a lot of money and material wealth to be happy.

Many wealthy people are poor in Spirit with all the money, fame and things that they have.

This Christmas Eve night as I write this poem I think about how I manage my money focusing on my needs first and then my wants.

I ask myself: Can I afford that? Do I need this? Can I wait for the store price to go down and get that dress on sale?

I hope that once I am financially stable with a decent job I can have a coat drive for kids age 1 through 16 in Trenton, New Jersey when every boy and girl gets a cute new coat and I hope that my story inspires others my battle with mental illness over 19 years…

Happy Birthday Jesus

Oh Lord and mighty Savior
I sing in your name praise be
In honor to you King of Israel
who takes away the sins of this world

Star of all stars Bethlehem
shining salvation loves light
purity in the scriptures fulfilled
proclaiming him blessed Holy One

A messenger singing Heavenly
an angel in praise to king of kings
In peace and good deeds God's only son
Blessed born his Immaculate heart

Conceived of the Holy Spirit Lord
Almighty Holiness in your council
one of understanding happy birthday
Our shepherd born salvation leads his flock

Faraway in the distance
three wise kings following sign
A diamond star they followed
light of truth born shone in a manger

As they entered bowing bearing gifts
Gold worshiping the Almighty king
Myrrh most precious bitter herb of the east
Frankincense to perfume our Holy One

The shepherds came as an angel sang out
Heavenly song in gentle melody
singing born today is our savior child
praise eternities revelations tune

O most Gracious Lord Jesus
I bow humble inside meek
happy birthday oh master

A Christmas Wish for Santa

"A Christmas Wish for Santa" O Santa! it's been very hard to be good all year and Christmas Eve is nearing for presents 'neath green tree listening for the sound of your sleigh and eight tiny reindeer am hoping for a special choice of boxes just for me. O Santa! I've been helping Mommy round the house even kept my own room sparkly bright after saying my prayers I am as quiet as a mouse am so excited to leave some milk and cookies for tonight. O Santa! I wrote a list of things I want to play I hope your sleigh can carry everything dolls and dishes and games and cray ---ons also an Angel with golden wings. O Santa! I remember there are children on the Earth who never got a toy or a hug or kiss Mommy says a lady has the right to change her mind from birth Daddy reminds me never to ever be selfish. O Santa! if I had a Christmas wish for you I'd package hugs and kisses laced with lots of love so Christmas Eve as you travel please sprinkle them won't you? like snowflakes falling from heavenly stars above. O Santa! I am so happy knowing I can share some gifts so free and simple to bring smiles and joy a truly "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" shows care and love is the 'bestest' gift for every girl and boy. O Santa! I will pray that you have a safe trip and merryment will ring throughout the Globe hope you enjoy your cookies as on chocolate milk you sip to celebrate the Greatest Story Ever Told. *For Michael J. A Christmas Past

It must have been around 1967, a Christmas that
feels like yesterday. Funny thing though, I don’t
remember unwrapping it, I don’t remember jumping
for joy, but I’m certain I did. With five children we
didn’t think of asking Santa for more than one gift.
Oh, there were always more gifts under the tree,
ones from our grandparents and of course mom
and dad. But that one, the one you wished for
was never knitted socks or mitts or anything
you wear, it was something special like
a toy or game. This one year the gift of all gifts
came to me. We always visited relatives and
good friends and I remember taking it with me.
I see it in my hands as I sat with my very own
transistor radio in the quiet corner listening to
the Boston Bruins playing hockey with my
hero number 4, Bobby Orr. I had a ten year old
girly crush on him and I was in heaven that night
every time the announcer said his name. Many
Christmases have come and gone since then, but
the memories of that radio with an antenna and
two turning knobs I will never forget.

Dragon Santa

There’s a little known fact about the North Pole.
Now Santa’s a Dragon, you really should know.
Now think about this and it will become clear.
Santa, like Dragons, is so very magical my dear.

In the very least, Santa has to be… at least partly so.
He’s just a SNOW Dragon, now wouldn’t you know?
He only comes south… in the deepest of wintertime.
And he brings along the snow for good girls and boys.

Now, I wouldn’t lie! I know… that honestly, it’s true!
I call him the Solstice Santa; for he brings winter, its true!
Think! Who brings those sleds when you’re snug in bed?
It’s the Dragon reindeer… Who can fly, high thru the air!

Now, think my dear friend… and you will know that it’s so.
Who loves havoc more, than a mischievous Dragon’s soul?
How come there’s always snow, as they land on your roof?
Because Snow Dragons can breath snow… Lickety Split!

And Dragons love fun… so here come all those Great toys.
Yep, they, too, were made by mischievous, DRAGON guys!
And just where, do you think, my Dragon egg came from?
Grandpa Troll came south, with it, yep, from the North Pole!

When Dragon is grown… Where do you think he wants to go?
Naturally, first North, to visit Dragon Santa, at the North pole.
Gee, the world is spinning, and Grandpa Troll is laughing, too!
No! Say it isn’t true! Grandpa Troll? Did you spike the eggnog?

Again this year? Well, it WAS a beautiful dream… That’s true!
And Merry Christmas, out there, to all you wonderful, You’s!!

Dragon and Santa

Christmas roses are red, and violets are so very blue…
Dear Santa. We love our dear Dragon and hope you do, too.
Nightly, visions of colors dance round and round his big bed.
As delusions of grandeur… continuously dance in his head.

For him sugar plums dance swirling, in dreams oh… so… sweet.
As you know… that tomorrow will bring a new, disastrous treat.
But this is the nighttime, as he lays snuggly, sleeping in his bed.
Honestly don’t worry! For the moment, there’s nothing to dread.

See how he looks, like a sweet heart, innocent, while cozy in bed.
But to be truthful, to help Santa, This year like promised and said…
We gave Dragon… Just a few of those wee, little knockout drops.
Now Santa‘s coming, lickety split! We’re ready, here, like on a military op.

No fricasseed Santa, will happen this night, during Santa’s great yearly flight.
Last year was an accident, we swear! It was little Dragons 1st Christmas night.
When he's excited, he tends to throw fire, through the air, like a son of a gun!
We told you to run, not goo and make cutesy faces, after all he was only one!

And truth to be told, those strange faces on anyone would scare him, we fear!
To make matters more clear, we copied our book, on Dragon etiquette, Dear!
We sent it to the North Pole, and a fire retardant suit, in red, made just, for you.
Don’t lift the face plate, on top of the suit, hair singes fast, to blackened soot!

Suddenly, Santa’s sleigh on the rooftop did land, and he was there within a blink.
Last on his list, it was close to the morn, he wanted to meet Dragon, he thinks.
Entering the room, over a penguin he fell, and landed face down on Dragon.
Dragon woke up and gave Santa a hug, as a new story for Christmas was born.

Now all is well, after Santa was gone. For he got to meet the first Dragon child…
In a thousand years or more, and thankfully Dragon behaved as he smiled…
Two icons in life finally did meet, then they went off to Church and back again.
Now, don’t be surprised, such things can happen, on a day where miracles reign.

All had a great Christmas with reindeer, Santa, Trolls, penguins and Dragon.
Can’t ask for more, at Christmas time, where Jesus in our minds, shines on
So have some good cheer and like Dragon and Santa, together, lets celebrate…
You should know, by now, it’s never too late to participate…The End!

December 6th Happy Nikolaus Day

On December the sixth, we were waiting for snow
As I drove to the house of little Heath and Bo.
I was chilled to the bone as I got in my car,
Thankful I didn’t have to drive very far.

As I drove through the town, I looked at the lights
The Snowmen the Santa’s such beautiful sights.
I passed by a church with a manger so dear,
Remembering Christmas is drawing very near.

The peace of the season began to warm my soul
And soon I stopped thinking I was at the North Pole.
With presents in my one hand and chocolate in the other,
I arrived at the home of the sister and brother.

Their eyes were just sparkling with smiles all aglow,
It was Nikolaus day for good children you know.
We opened the presents, sang songs and we read.
Then partied till the children were tucked in their bed.

Santas Christmas Wish

Dear Santa,

Remember that wish, to spend time with Dragon, you wanted to come true.
Well, we’ve found a way to make that wish, for you, to really, come true.
Now, don’t expect anything to go in a very usual and in a controllable way.
With Dragon, things just don’t ever; seem to turn out simple, in any way.

Well it all started, as Dragon got worried about terrorists, problems, and all.
Yeah, I know they’re no trouble for you… No… They aren’t… Not at all.
But Dragon’s so young, and a touch worried, and as we’ve all come, to know.
He wants, to fly with you, in your magic slipstream, to protect you, you know.

But Dragon can’t fly very far or very straight yet, being only 2 years old, you bet.
And we don’t want him bothering you, or knocking you out of the sky, you bet.
We talked to McRaccoon, in his Las Vegas Dragon show; he too, wants to go.
And you see, his whole bunch of Dragons, want to fly, thru the air, with you, so...

They’ll fly in a V formation; it’ll make a great, thing to see, so you must, let it be!
Our Dragon will ride upon the leader, and others will carry others, please, let it be!
Make-a-Wish children all want to go, wrapped up snuggly with their papa’s so...
McRaccoon will document it with pictures, for every one’s wall, and you did wish…

Yes, for a Dragon meet and greet to start things off, and your elves can help, also!
The Trolls will be there, to help with crowd control, and to get an autograph, also.
To remember us all… Dragon got a St. Christopher medal blessed by the Pope.
The Pope will give it to you, as he blesses your trip, which brings peace and hope.

Oh, and he’ll give you a very ancient, beautiful cross, for the years you’ve served.
Yes, while teaching us how to give, celebrate, and serve… engulfed in God’s love.
I’ll give you a toy Dragon to hang on your beautifully, amazing Christmas tree.
The elves say your manger set there…is truly a sight of wonder, to be seen.

What! You agree! Dragon and all will be so touched, so, Thank you so very Much!
Our Dear…Dear Santa Claus!

A Surprise Visit From Santa

'Twas Christmas Eve and cheer abounded in the humble English cottage!
The olde house rang with joy since the children knew with certain knowledge,
That Santa and his reindeer would drop by for a visit later on that night!
Mum was fixing Yorkshire pudding and a goose for their Yuletide delight!

Papa and the kids had trudged through the forest to find the perfect tree!
It stood by the window brilliantly lit with candles for all passersby to see!
Snow flakes as large as ha'pennies wafted down and covered the roof,
To provide a smooth and soft landing place for each little reindeer hoof!

Later they gathered 'round the olde pump organ to sing carols of yore!
Papa read the Nativity Story since the kids wanted to hear it once more.
Mum served cocoa and biscuits with quaffs of hot cider in between.
No mere artist would dare capture with brush this cheery Dickensian scene!

The grandfather clock struck ten and the little ones were shooed off to bed!
They were tucked in bed after stories were read and their prayers were said.
They napped with one eye open when all of a sudden they heard much ado!
Leaping from their beds they tiptoed downstairs where they saw you know who!

'Twas jolly olde Santa busily placing toys 'neath their Christmas tree!
He saw them and said, "Won't you have some milk and biscuits with me?"
Santa smoked his pipe as they sat on his lap playfully tugging his beard,
When to their surprise it came off and the smiling face of Papa appeared!

Santa and The Rainbow

Dragon was in the park one day, and wanted to touch a rainbow. Yes siree’!
But no matter how close he got… It kept running ahead of him, you see.
Are rainbows really, so Shy? Why won’t he let me touch him? He did cry!
Doesn’t he really like me at all? Dragon being broken hearted; said it all.

I’m going somewhere over the rainbow, So Don’t bother to tell me, I can’t!
Aren’t I a mythological Dragon, aren’t I supposed to do what others can’t?
But, even little Dragons have limits, and, yes, he eventually found that out.
It totally broke his little heart, and mine, as he wandered so very hurt, about.

Cheer up, little dragon, I said as I cuddled him, as he lay down, and he did cry.
The rainbow loves you; see how he sends those colors, through the air, so high.
Long ago, when he left his Mama, and first came here from the rings of Saturn.
Many tried to steal his essence, but at the last moment, someone saved him.

Some said he was a Great man, others a Wizard, with a kind and gentle hand.
Now, no man may capture the rainbow, no matter how fast, or bold, they ran.
The Man that saved the Day, was from then on, called Santa Clause, my dear.
The rainbow gave Santa a gift, to be able to fly, and spread Christmas cheer.

And yes, also to the reindeer, which helped him, I do say to you, quite clear.
And like the rainbow, Santa and the reindeer, will never grow old, you hear?
If you see Santa fly thru the sky, you will see streaks from the little rainbow.
For they became such great and fast friends, on that day so very long ago…

Now they all celebrating Christmas together, with all the little girls and boys.
And the true meaning of Christmas is not lost on them, as they hand out toys.
For they are celebrate the birth of Christ…as they give and receive joy.
Now as Santa would say ‘Merry Christmas to all and to all a Very Good Night!’

and humility throughout your life. Be gentle
of heart to family and loved ones, be tolerant of
faith and thoughts of fellow man. Be akin with others
less fortunate than ourselves, be humble in the eyes of
your God. Hold the memories of those passed, distant or
on duty dearly, on this birthday of all birthday's pray for the
infant child of all nations. Peace and your God be with you all.

Happy Birthday Jesus

I finally get it.
It has nothing to do with me.
I opened the eyes in my heart
and now I truly see.

I know that I'll be locked up
and that I wont get a toy.
But my heart is beating like a drum
and it's drumming in the Christmas joy.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
Thank you Father for your Son.
The gift of my salvation
after my time on earth is done.

What an awesome present.
There isn't anything I want more.
I asked Him to come into my heart
and He walked right through the door.

I was feeling sad and lonely.
It's hard to be happy here in jail.
But when I think of Jesus' Birthday.
It makes me smile without fail.

Merry Christmas everybody!
I hope you feel it too.
If you've got the bah humbugs.
It's not about me or you.

It's about our Lord Jesus.
The gift that everyone can share.
God gave to us His only Son.
So let Him know how much you care.

I wrote this one Christmas when I
was in jail and thought I lost it
but there it was in my memory.
Merry X-mas everyone and God Bless you.

My 12 Days of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
A puppy that wouldn’t stop peeing on my tree.
On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Two Turtle Doves who dropped a load, as I looked up in the tree.
On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Three little kittens that my puppy, chased up daily into the tree.
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Four sets of ornaments to replace, those destroyed by kittens in the tree.
On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Five different promises that he would again, put up, The Silly Tree.
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Six strands of lights to replace those chewed on, by my little puppy.
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Seven hugs and kisses, so I’d PLEASE forget, about the Blooming Tree.
On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Eight Trolls a milking, chasing cows thru all my hedgerow shrubbery.
On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Nine Trolls a dancing, that all fell on, my once beautiful garden fencing.
On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Ten Trolls a leaping, as Caroling candles, burned down into their hands.
On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Eleven Trolls a smiling and ready to rebuild my burned down front porch.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Twelve Trolls a hammering and a nice big bottle of Tylenol… just for me…
Plus the happy thought, I’d survived a Christmas gift, planned with love… just for me.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and best wishes for twelve days of Christmas joy.

The Tiny Box Under The Tree

I could see the snow falling outside the window
As we cuddled on Christmas right near the tree
Drinking egg nog and watching our favorite shows on tv
Anxiously I couldn't help but wonder
What my sweetheart had wrapped up for me
He must have read my thoughts
Because suddenly he gave me a surprise gift
And immediately got on his knees

To see what my expression would be
Nervously I stood in shock
But couldn't wait to unwrap the gift
That was a very tiny box
To my amazement it immediately caught my eye
Sparkling and shining from the opened box
Stood a very large diamond ring
Just as beautiful as it could be

At that very same moment he then stood up
And said, " Will you marry me?"
Without a doubt thrilled and excited
I immediately answered back with a yes
We then smiled and intimately embraced one another
Finally ending the night on Christmas was even more special
And one of my best Christmas holidays ever
Because I became newly engaged which was a gift like no other

For You And Me

It was for you and me ,
That Jesus left His throne,
Bore the scourge and agony,
Shivered His flesh and bone,

It was for you and me,
He took the awry tour,
Towards the dreaded Calvary,
Summed His tortured hours,

It was for you and me,
That Jesus bore the cross,
Paid the greatest penalty,
That death supposed be ours,

It was for you and me,
He wailed the gloomiest cry,
It was for you and me,
Jesus was nailed to die,

Oh, that you and I may see,
Our wickedness beyond measure,
Jesus to set us free,
In our stead bore the torture,

His love mysterious great,
Knocks the door of all men's heart,
His mighty power recreates,
Renews our lives whole to restart,

It was for you and me,
When on the third day death sufficed,
The savior left His grave,
Victorious he arised,

He rose back to His throne,
Sitting by His Father's side,
Prepare! He's coming soon,
Today is to decide,

Happy Birthday Jesus

My mind oft digresses to a passed time and day
And in thought I see a manger so far, far away.

I visualize the first Christmas gift swaddled and fair
No fancy gift-wrapping and few that would care.

Millenniums are now spent and yet silently I pause
Remembering this event, predating Santa Claus;

I contemplate at length, why so few seem to care
Demonstrating not angst for their soul and it's fare.

Being overly preoccupied in the spirit of the season
Oft captures my thoughts, from Jesus, the reason.

At times I'm Immersed with seasonal things to do
But to this gift of Christmas I will never bid adieu.

So with Christmas upon us let the message thus be
About a child named Jesus, whose mission was Calvary.

Give the gift that keeps giving, one born in a stable
For He did for mankind that which no other was able.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas Everyone
