Christmas Teddy Bear, On CD

Darling, what I want for Christmas, is you to be my teddy bear,
Some hugs and kisses between us, a song and dance to share,
Some hugs and kisses between us, a warm and listening ear,
Some hugs and kisses between us, the charm of Christmas cheer,

Yes, what I want for Christmas, is you to be my teddy bear,
Some hugs and kisses between us, in tender loving care,
Some hugs and kisses between us, a song and dance to share,
Some hugs and kisses between us, as I hold you near,

For love to be with us, throughout our Christmas years,
Darling, what I want for Christmas, is you to be my teddy bear,
Some hugs and kisses between us, the charm of Christmas cheer,
Some hugs and kisses between us, the warmth of Christmas dear,

Enduring love to be with us, throughout our Christmas years,
Darling, what I want for Christmas, is you to be my teddy bear,
Some hugs and kisses between us, some hugs and kisses between us,
Some hugs and kisses between us, "Won't you be my teddy bear!!"

Unknown

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

Christmas Waltz

Snowflakes waltz on cold breezes

Remembered dance steps centuries old

Changing partners on a whim

Caring not whose creation they will trim

Father North Wind interjects boldly

Guiding the familiar waltzing journey

As flake swirls and spin gracefully

Always retaining their individuality

Jack Frost, his night shift ending

Leaps and twirls from place to place

Freezing morning dew, now expanding,

Preparing for the dance troupe landing

Mother Nature, the definitive director

Observes diligently each intricate design

Ever mindful of their desired destination

Knowing each becomes a Christmas decoration

Blissfully unaware of the preparations for the show

Children awaken to blankets of snow

Hastily donning coats, caps, boots and gloves

Father Christmas, delighted, smiles down from above

Note: I wrote this last winter during the Christmas Season. Hope you enjoy. Merry Christmas !!!

So many candles to see the light

Like joyous green of summer, my heart is singing filled
With you, while winter`s white is witness of good willed;
The glass works and the hot red wine spreading light:
Comforting carols “Silent Night” or “Brad Frumos”.

Comforting thoughts of good like good miners,
And cakes a lot with names of saints and sinners
Looking the heart of sweet cherries strudel under the sight

Of mother humming “Silent Night” or “Brad Frumos”.

Smoldering embers and feeling like hot chocolate
With scent of incense offered to every Christian mate
Under the new temptation of good and hope of right

Teaching of church on “Silent Night”,under “Brad Frumos”

The sacrifice of the pig, a ritual Symphony in red,
At the other side of modal logic, with wine and bread
And slaughtered pig and soured soups that might

Be prepared and savored on "Silent Night" ,near “Brad Frumos”

The aromatic smoke ascending, and dancing heavenly
Like our attempt to preserve and conserve not only
The clay and flash creature but also the inner light

And so many candles to see the Light on “Silent Night”...

Hail and Ice

It Hails
Beautifying Winter
My Nails
Ice in the Center

Oh no
Damn what nonsense
And Yes
Have the License

So Lead
With cars To
roads of speed
And trees
What snowflake
and Breeze

Oh So cold
Ice in the winter
I'm so bold
Out in the Center

& Outdoors
Tremble like that
Icy Floors
With Classmate

There fall flakes
and I fetch them
Whatever takes
I may catch them

So come on everyone
Freeze your blood
To this wintry one
And Snowflake ton

SANTA'S NEW CHRISTMAS DANCE

Verse I

Don't ask for presents
and check your stockings
hanging by the fire place where the log crackles;
you are in for a big surprise this quite evening:
kids, dance with Santa on snowy Christmas's Eve...
put on the best smile and hear the reindeer's bells!

Chorus:

Kids, dance with Santa and swing your legs and arms 'till you fall;
jump up, go around once, stop, jump up, go around twice,
until his tired feet ache and you laugh at his funny groans!
Get the hang of it, dance with him he's so nice...
hold on, stay on the dance floor...see Santa's belly bounce!
Kids, dance with Santa and sing a lovely carol!

Verse II

Don't complain like grouches, and tell him he's another chubby Grinch;
he is a different kind of Santa...he doesn't bring any expensive gifts!
Oh, no Santa is not stingy, just the oldest messenger of good cheers;
you may be disappointed a lot, but please don't tarnish his image!
He came here to teach you the new Christmas dance with rhythm;
watch his steps and learn to dance within the allowed range!

Ending:

I don't like those long faces, kids dance with Santa on this Christmas Eve;
you'll forget about your presents expectations...you wouldn't want to leave!

Entered in Deborah Guzzi's Holiday Songs In Poetry Form. Style: Moderate Rock Ballad.
I will set my song to music and publish it next year. I doesn't have a melody to be sung
to.

Missing You

The Christmas tree is up the decorations all hung
The errands almost completed right on time
Yesterday it snowed for the first time this winter
All along the eastern coast a winter wonderland
Long and hard it fell wind- tossed everywhere
Now fine powder- packed and piled twenty inches high!
Today, it is shimmers like fine crystal glistening in the bright noon sun
Enough to warm your Sunshine but not enough to warm
Her heart as her thoughts again turn to you
Missing you so! It hurts holding on to that last mail I read
Again and again I commit to memory every word
I am sending you messages via ESP whispering your name
Tears flow easy and I am feeling blue
This Christmas and New Year will be the worst I’ve ever had
Without you here I will not light the fireplace because
I will not see the firelight dance in your brown eyes
Nor that quirky smile you wear so well as you reach
To take my hands wanting to dance to Marc Anthony’s “My Baby You”
Tonight I will light a candle and place it in the window
Praying that you will see it through your mind’s eye and know that
Just a little way up north you are loved in return just as you are
As always I will be the warmth you feel on your skin
God willing throughout the years to come
I am missing you terribly!
