- A Bird Sings Only When It Is Happy -

A white dove flies gracefully across vision
Shines as transparent pieces of ivory joy

I give you a Candle of Love, for inspire and encourage you
Blown gently upon a soft warm lovely breeze

Falling slowly like a ripe apple
With sad confusion, I promise you heaven

Everything will fall into place and gives you, perfect pleasure of life
Love whispering on wings fluttering deep

It is possible to change your tomorrow, if you seek your dream today
To watch the light change i pray for your beauty to return

My arms are full of flowers, the beauty the unfathomable grace
Reborn under a promise of color inside the mist bouquet dream

Springtime Once Again - LaCharta Style

~Springtime Once Again~
(LaCharta)

The days are turning rather hot
It's spring, but you'd think that we'd got
Summer, because it is so hot.
It's so warm need find a cool spot
Rather like weather when is cool
What want now is jump in the pool

Springtime is so lovely indeed
When rains more cool weather we need
It's a nice time to plant more seeds
Also time to kill more those bad weeds
Beautiful roses we see grow
Spring is when nature seems to glow

Hear many birds sing from the trees
Mother duck with her chicks now just see
Children play and just laugh with glee
Many games to play on land, sea.
Enjoy spring, 'cause her days go fast
Spring sadly, for too long won't last.

Free as a Bird

Breathing wind
across ocean currents
Waves of a sea murmur
under tides turn over emotions awakening
Satin white washed surf

Beholding
upon the rocks
Beloved apex
a sunbeams brilliance

Wetly kissed
under a rainbow arch
Throwing light
of the moon spotlighting
dancing with the shadows

Crouching where the sun rests
Twilight fires burn amber
within clouds shooting gunbarrel grey

Being Awake

Being Awake

When one looks with eyes that see
And hears with ears that hear
That’s when they’ll feel the mystery
So very loud and clear
Then when they look into arose
They’ll see god standing there
And when they hear the wind whistle
They’ll here within a prayer

So many they don’t smell the flowers
Just thoughts do fill their heads
And yet sweet nature has the power
To put feathers in one’s tread
The skies the clouds. The oceans too
The trees the birds, the all
Everything it has a magic glow
Each thing is beautiful

I am blessed, I always feel
By that fellow in the sky
He gave me such a magic gift
He makes me feel so high
Every time that I see beauty
With happiness I weep
I am awake, awake, awake
I’ve awakened from my sleep

Beyond The Garden Gate

Ornate is the ironwork that I peer through
as my fingers grasp the garden gate,
and I open my eyes to my Wonderland.

My bare feet step down the moonlit path,
where fireflies twinkle amongst the stars
that reflect upon the flowing crystal brook.
I capture them in a lantern, then set them free.
My lavender dress twirls weightlessly as I dance,
here I am free to feel joy and to dream.

Here beyond the gate of my enchanted garden,
when the golden sun sets low in the evening sky,
the daisies, gladiolas, and pansies never close their petals
and the sunflowers shine in the moonbeams.

While butterflies stay to perch on the blooming trellis,
the song of the hummingbird fills the warm night air
and I fall asleep in my flower bed of thorn-less roses.

Beautiful Springtime - Trolaan

 ~Beautiful Springtime~
 (Trolaan)

 Beautiful first spring day
 Bountiful sun then may rain
Be happy spring comes after winter too
Bright sunshine glows like golden grain

Enticing spring is here again at last
Enchanting sights of so much beauty and renewal
Every ray of sun illuminates everything so fast
Entire sky is now so blue like a precious jewel

Now new and wonderful changes after winter and snow
Nurturing beauty of spring is such a sight
Nosegays and roses buds see them all grow
Nice time to relax and enjoy the spring night

On and on my Master has created spring for us all
Orchids, roses, tulips and so many beautiful things to enjoy
Ocean and mountains during spring season stand tall
Outside there's a wonderful weather for all girls and boys.

Hummingbird

Hummingbird

Hummingbird flapping iridescent wings,
hovers above patch of cardinal blooms.
Feasting in mid-air is an amazing thing,
over twice its weight the small bird consumes.
Aerodynamic bird loved by many,
Can fly backward, forward and side to side.
Its weight is slightly above a penny.
Tiny legs limit the little bird’s stride.
Hummingbirds are of various colors.
The backs of some are emerald or brown.
The ruby throat bird is seen more than others.
There are several colors for their crowns.
Wherever insects and nectar are found,
there’s sure to be a hummingbird around.

An Ellice Island - In search of KindRed Soul

Long miles of tedious journey,
Missing my darling honey.
Travelling impatiently, spend thousands of
money,
Hope god will bless me with ma lucky soul
at this season.

Equatorial island exploring its amazed
beauty, glittering with immersed grasses.
Wrapped by queens necklaced small lake
aside, at the outskirts of dalhousie.
My heart dwelled into its god gifted
creativity,
When the night lime lighted,
Millions of stars scattered around
charming moon.
As if its was a wondering boon.
Lucky enough for landing with my next
hop.

Eagerly waiting for my heart chaser,
Girl passed near by, few seconds later.
Flaming beauty mould my soul.
Topped with innocence, ready for my
auspicious goal.
Her chic appearance,
Her innocent appeal.
Strucking heart raised with high beats..
Awaited for our romantic date in ma
upcoming meet.

Frequency of our nature matched.
Stolen Eyes of each other were catched.
Strings of our heart whistled
synchronously.
Everything had happened miraclelously.
I rebelled the three precious words of
romantic dictionary.
Accepting my red rose, She blushed.

At event of recreation, campfire were
ignited.
Nobody around us, private moments
between we two spotlighted.
Playing guitar, she sinked with every beat,
That's the coincidence our eyes again
meet.
Hand in hand danced with the soothing
romantic theme,
Sparkling smile on her face beamed.
Getting closer to her, because of her
fragranced cream.
Expecting the light around us to be dim.

The romantic moment again came,
Flaps of my soul opened for the grand
dame.
She looked too pretty in her gold lame
dress,
My heart awarded her an order of chivalry.
Don't know who are you, but baby you are
the one, I am in love.
You live in me, You are my love
I feel you in my heart,
You are my world, I just cant stay apart!

Please don't hesitate, please don't lie,
Whatever you feel, my heart can buy!
Angel of life, Its just you.
Completeness in life can't be without you.

Wanna Carry journey happily together.
Tickling nose, Queenly beauty of my white
leather.
Hold my senses, its caught by you.
Don't let be just memories, wanna feel
ecstasy of love towards you forever.
Promising to hold your hand throughout
life in this lovely weather.

Will be your shadow, because your pain
will be mine.
Its destiny that our heart clicked a
snapshot of each other's soul.
Stopping by my question, Will you marry
me, my Kindred Soul?

Communing With Nature

I want to dance in a field of posies
I’d take off my shoes and squish my toesies
Lay in a field of color all day long
Listen to the birds and mimic their song

Smell all of Mother Nature’s fragrant scents
And prolong my stay by pitching a tent
I’d lie on my back and look at the sky
And linger there until the moon is high

I’d savor the moment, then return home
Where stress, anxiety and chaos roam
And when my day is a little off track
I will close my eyes and I’ll be right back

Communing with nature’s sights, sounds and smells
In the field of posies I know so well

The Hummingbird

Incredibly fast and yet so tiny
Dressed in feathers that refract the sunlight
Radiating such colourful beauty
Producing a true birdwatcher's delight

Suspending a living feathery mass
Wings beating at eighty times per second
Create a blur which for a short time lasts
Then in an instant later it is gone

Busily sipping each flower's nectar
As you rapidly flit from bloom to bloom
Viewing you in your glorious splendour
Chases away any feelings of gloom

A true master of acrobatic flight
Forward, backward and even upside down
What a marvellous captivating sight
Leaving the viewer speechless and spellbound

All bedecked in luminescent feathers
Blessed with a spectacular flying mode
Radiating such beautiful colours
That is the magic of the hummingbird

Trinidad, my native island, is also called the “Land of the Hummingbird” because more than sixteen different species of hummingbird have been recorded on the island.
The indigenous Native Americans, the Arawaks, named the island, "Iere", which, in their language, means "Land of the Hummingbird".
Two hummingbirds are shown on the island's coat of arms.

Garden Flowers

walking through the garden I was struck by the
abundance of blooms. Everywhere the flowers
peeked out, rich in colour and scent.

Stately tulips waft
in great patches of colour
pleasing to the eye

Hollyhocks giving height and beauty while
gentle daisy's lay cloistered underneath
grand hosta's lapping up the sun

Merry birds singing
unseen musicians playing
a most happy jig

In tune with the surrounding world
I listen to nature's choir so stirring to
the senses as birds warble in joy

peacocks are strutting
across the vast lawns of green
most pleasing to see

The Call of Spring

The birds sit on the willow;
The sun peeps from the sky.
Downstream the noisy rivers flow,
And busy ants scurry by.

A butterfly with rainbow color
Runs wildly as a vine -
Passing o're the flowers
In paths of strange designs.

The flower trees are bending:
Smiling to the rain.
Gigantic trees are mending;
And summer dawns again.

The real dream

The real dream

Springtime
is a fresh start
To heal
The wounded hearts
Flowers bloom
Beneath a sun that shines
A sun that melts
the icy heart of mine
Lovely smells
are in the air
I close my eyes
and feel me there
I open them again
Im in a real dream
No need to imagine
this heavenly scene
My eyes embrace
the beauty of life
My senses are awake
are back to life
A new beginning
is on its way
A bird sings to me
and flies away

The Garden

All day she watches, feeding on greed,
but she would not pick any of the flowers.
These are flowers that fly and all but sing.

For flight and honey, dazzled so in quest of sweetness.
A bird, one that gathers its wings
and flies higher and higher.

This lovely flower fell to seed.
Work gently sun and rain.

Caterpillar fur

Spring and spring.
Clouds of maple.
Skies of pine.

Red in green.
Serviceberry understory.
Spring and spring.

Skunk cabbage spathe.
Black birch sap.
Poplar flowers.

Opossum tires.
Spring and spring.
Blackbird wing.

Wasps won't sting.
My father died.
Town meeting Monday.

Spring and spring.
Sing **** you!
There's no down side.

Infinite willow.
Leaning oak.
Spring and spring.

Budding flame.
Budding thumb.
Cat claw.

Bird yolk.
Spring and spring.
Dandelion

Shoots. Arrowhead
Roots. Waterproof
Boots. Old bed young.

Spring and spring.
Rang and wrong.
Thank and thought.

Seed and sawn.
Wait and walk.
Spring and spring.

Surreal Nature

Walking through the sweet flower meadows, I pause to watch the sky lark
as he tumbles joyously in the sunlit sky and perches on a branch
to sing in such sweet melody that missel thrush and blackbird join in.

Flowers smelling sweet
in such a variety
of color and shape

A peaceful place to sit and enjoy all nature has to offer
to lean back and let go of every day stress and woes. To
celebrate just the joy of being alive and able to enjoy nature

Nature does her best
if only we care to look
at all her splendors

A View From My Deck

Fluffy white floaters on the breeze
Parachuting from the sky
Petals off the apple tree
A carpet on the lawn

Happy birds that tweet and trill
Songs of constant joy
Hopping and bopping from branch to branch
High rise nesting architects

Hummers zip and stop on a dime
Hover at colourful flowers
Drinking natures sweetened nectars
Yellow bush a favourite

Garden buzzes its own rhythm
Yellow pollinators streaking by
Moving from one plant to another
Nature's wondrous helpers

On the deck with morning coffee steaming
Marvelling at the non-stop action
Much better than watching the morning news
Relaxed, refreshed, renewed for the day

The Pond In Its Glory

Gentle ripples on the water
Set in motion by a slight breeze
Move quietly on the pond's surface
With gracefulness and effortless ease

A fishing bird flies in suddenly
Skimming the pond's surface with its feet
Then dives headfirst into the water
In its search of a meal to eat

Something just broke the water's surface
Forcing me to full attention
I can see now an eye and the nose
Of a fledgling baby caiman

A bird's neck appears from the water
In its beak, there's a struggling fish
One gulp and the fish disappears
That was indeed a tasty dish

Water lily pads bob up and down
In harmony with the rippling water
Their crimson blooms standing upright
Sprinkled among the lilies cluster

Feeding close to the water's edge
There's a roving group of small fishes
They nibble on the morsels they find
Among roots of water grasses

I treasure sitting here in silence
Observing the pond in its glory
It fills me with such peacefulness
And deep feelings of tranquillity

Flower Pot

You could have picked a sturdy branch
In the maple tree.
You could have picked the birdhouse
Or a place near the chimney.

Perhaps a bush, perhaps the brush
Might be where you'd feel best,
But still it's nice you chose my pot
To build your lacy nest!

A Landscape, Colorful Yet Gloomy

A distorted shadow of a vagabond
goes the field bobbing up and down
in the sunny and warm spring day’s shimmering air

For the flowers in the field are at their best,
the birds on the treetops enjoy to their hearts content

The upside-down green grass field, see through between hind legs
of a fawn who knelt to quench his thirst from the stream where
the sparkling water bubbled up from the spring overflows,
is the deep blue sky extended to the boundless infinity

The meadow,
where the colt gallops while flapping his mane in air
though they are yet to be grown;
the grassland,
where the calf follows her mother with the slender
and effeminate legs though walk falteringly,
is the deep blue sky joined in the horizon laying yonder

Although, the flowers in the field
and the foot of mountains is sweet-scented and brilliant,
and the birds in the woods and the groves are singing
joyfully and chirping their day away,
why the heart of vagabond who was shoved and pushed by the sunlight,
and, now, walks to the horizon between sky and the prairie as a piece of
drifting cloud, is so lonely and dejected

Spring Is Almost Here - The Huitain style

~Spring's Almost Here~
(Huitain)

One more time spring is almost here
Such a nice season to enjoy
When weather gets warmer and fair
Children play outside with their toy.

Not a lot of cold to annoy
Brand new green leaves grow in each tree
The sights of spring gives lots of joy
Birds butterflies flowers we see.
