A TALL TREE TALE

A TALL TREE TALE

Once, I was caught on a betting dime
To see if I could coconut tree climb
The palm was leaning about 45 degrees
So I readily agreed and proceeded with glee.

I jumped off the beach and onto the trunk
Not five steps up when my bravery shrunk
For right in my path crawled a giant millipede
In a flash I was down shrieking feet stampede!

Stoically picking it up with his bare hand
My cousin howled as I ran in the sand
So intent on speed I forgot to look
Tripped on a rock and a tumble I took.

Feeling quite clownish I headed back
Determined this time that I wouldn’t slack
But as I climbed higher, the trunk got thinner
And the breeze blew harder on a frozen ½-winner!

Friendly Freeformmmm

'Baby, you taste like chocolate,

You and me we'd make a great rhyming couplet.

A.K.A a grinding couplet.'

'You can get on top of me like enjambment.'

'I can show you some wild imagery,

Me on you, you on me.'

'Metaphor stands for meet-at-four,

We'll get it on till the break of dawn.'

'Damn, could you BE anymore sexual?' -an example of a rhetorical question you could include...

'S-s-s-s-s-SEX!'- an example of sibilance you could use (and probably will).

'Annotate me honey, and together we can achieve a deeper meaning.'

My Wishes are Simple

My Wishes are Simple

My wishes are simple,
my desires few,

to gaze upon an ocean,
and marvel at a solitary drop of dew.

My wishes are simple,
my dreams not too grand,

to feel the waves teasing my tired feet,
with no footprints left in the cool, wet sand.

My wishes are simple,
my thoughts serenely gentle, calm,

my heart resting beneath a swaying palm,

healing my being, caressed by nature's soothing balm.

FISH FROM THE TREE

I love the fish that comes straight from the tree.
Do you have this fish?
I also love the fish that comes directly from the market.
So do you have this fish?
I love the fish that comes from the sea.
Do you have this fish that comes from the bay?
I need this fish today.
Do you have this fish?
I think that fish is Danggit.
And Lapu-Lapu that comes from Cebu!
I love you fish.

Nature's Magnificent Beauty

When you need serenity gaze longingly at a mountain peak.
It can make you stronger - even your minds not weak.
See the many trees - how tall that they have grown.
It's majesty in every leaf is truly, lovingly shown!

The gentle breezes dance around you - making you feel really calm.
On your entire system - applying a healing balm!
Raising your spirit - into the sky so blue.
Granting you the happiness - that you've been over due!

Walking along a beach - watching the rivers tide.
Pushing everything else in your world totally aside!
The gentle waves relax you down to your very core.
Suppressing all negativity - like it never has before!

You can experience nature - in any way you choose.
No matter how you do it - you really can not lose!
Let Mother Nature hug you - wrap you in her warm embrace.
And with her there beside you - life's miseries erase!

warm waters

don't misunderstand
i love feeling happy.
i live for the moments
that make my voice raspy.

gazing up at the moon
and i'm wrapped in a trance.
a willow tree waltzed around the lagoon
and asked me for one last dance.

warm waters, i see the river flooding.
warm waters, i know a change is coming.
