Namagyan Beach

A beach captivating deprived eyes, Fascination, grandiose haven in July, Keeping lovely mountains nearby, Of Pacific, quixotic, refulgent sunset/sunrise. Tarry! Unwind! Vast waves eXtrudes Yuletide-like Zephyr.
Written: Aug. 16, 2012 This is a beautiful beach in Tamurong, Candon, I.S. It is located near my place or compound just a walking distance from my house. Its name was officially given by the people living in that area who are mostly relatives. The word "namagyan" means "relatives." Many visitors are going to this place and enjoy the nature, their moments and most especially the whole day of Sabado De Gloria (Black Saturday) and ecumenical services are held on this beautiful beach on the dawn/sunrise of Easter Sunday! It's a very fantastic place to visit! Come and see!

Tropical Obsession

I've got a tropical obsession
I think I'm losing my mind
I want to see my work day done
Go out and have some fun
And leave the city life behind.

I love the roar of the ocean
The smell of tanning lotion
A secluded beach somewhere
There are coconuts in the trees
With a warm and gentle breeze
And a flower in your hair.

I've got a tropical obsession
It's driving me up a wall
I want the palm trees and the shore
Blue skies and so much more
Oh God! I want it all

There's an island in the sea
I can hear it calling me
Saying come on home today
I'll bring my old beach chair
Plant it in the sand somewhere
And that's where I'm going to stay

I've got a tropical obsession
And I just can't set it free
On an island remote
In a little fishing boat
Is where I want to be.

Relaxing on the Beach

Oh, the taste of sweet mangoes
While relaxing on a Caribbean beach.
Such a refreshing way to watch the sun
Setting on the blue and calm horizon.

This sweet mango is such an appetizer
Preparing the pallet for the main course.
Stimulating one’s stomach for a feast
With visions of the coming dish,
The main flavor of the day.

Oh, I like tasty mangoes
The setting sun, and
Caribbean beaches.

Barefoot on the Beach

The days of Summer are here
On this beautiful earth sphere
This season of shine
The beach we do pine
Our time to appear draws near

The day we have awaited has arrived
To the seaside we carefully drive
The kids and their daddy
Singing Showaddywaddy
The excitement in us now thrives

In adventure they play on the dunes
Through the reeds the breeze plays a tune
A symphony so grand
As I'm barefoot on the sands
On this glorious sunny afternoon

For these days of Summer cheer us all
As the sounds of happy kids en-thrall
Our day is now ended
As darkness has descended
My kids and I had a ball

Home is Where the Ocean Is

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.

Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.

My Persian Queen

From the Gardens of Babylon,
to the walkways of Palestina,
to the grand temples of Jerusalism,
to the sandy beaches of Syria and Cyprus.
Went my Persian Queen riding,
upon her golden, firery chariot.

Her black hair, like silk long and flowing.
Her royal robes white and purple, bare and pure.
Her sword by her side, ready to strike.
Her spear fastened, ready to stab the dreeded heart
of the Fire Dragon.
On the firery chariot, riding with her armies,
Went my Perisan Queen.

O, how my arimes fight your armies,
in the midst of night fall, under a full moon.
Let us stop this foolish fighting.
And have fellow brother, love fellow brother.
And so we can fall in love forever.

And don't act like you don't show love for me.
I see you in the dawns, standing upon the sand covered battlefields.
Standing proud behind your armies.
With your black hair flowing.
You almost making me want not to fight the battle of the Day,
for if you were killed, what victory would that be then?

You pull your armies back at the last minute, before I am slayed
by your fellow brother in arms.
You retreat your arimes back over the hills, not in fear of losing the day,
but in fear of losing me.
You and your armies had plenty of chances to kill me, yet you do not.

My Persian Queen, O come now.
Come down from your firery chariot
and into my restless arms.
I know you are tired
and wanting to sleep.

Listen to the nightingale
sing her love song.
Drinking the sweet necture,
from the gardens, in your vase Persian Empire.

Come now, and kiss me,
Hold me, let us ride,
far from the simple minds of the Old World
and fall in love in a New.

My Persian Queen
O how I love you so much.
I cannot bare to see you in a life you don't want to live.
Come let I, your Knight in shinning armour liberate you.
Take you by the hand, run through the great bazzare in Old Istanbul
running away from the Janissaries of your father's Imperial armies.

Let us leave this place of hate and sorrow.
To start our lives a new.
My Persian Queen,
Now dressed in silk lace,
with golden jewlery hanging
from your beautiful and tender neck.
Along with the silver pattened belt around your harmonial waist.

It is time for you, to come with me.
No more shall we act like we dispise one another.
As Romeo and Juliet's love failed,
shall our love take course, and we shall love
till the oceans swallow the earth, the mountains crumble,
and the Sun engulf the sweet Earth.
And on and on shall our love go on,
My adorable and lovely Persian Queen.

Malvan Beach imagery deciphered

3rd march2012, by: Sashi Prabhu (zeauoxian)
Form: rhyming couplets

Sandy tracks, still and dormant, lie await for us,
Virgin sands of Malvan beach, its breeze my body salty caress.

Through the grooves of coconut palms swaying tall,
We trudge to the sandy shores backpack and all.

Green thatched leaves. Crowns of glory, shade it extorts,
Swinging hammock to nest me in my denim blues shorts.

A strong breeze blows saline pelagic scented odor across,
Blue waves melt to foam, kiss shores, hued shells emboss.

Lonely eagle soar virgin blue skies,
More of the brood join in and glide past fishing boats floating by.

A murder of crows feast on our eaten table,
As in the warm waters we dip, the crows our food they garble.

The waves sound gushing rhapsody repeat,
Us jovious beach bums in water enjoy the sunny heat.

Dry fishing boats on logs they are on the sands to park,
 Lie along akin, like silent serpents, waiting for dusk to embark.

Sea gulls they glide over silver wavy waters,
Food seeking dives perform, for them that’s what matters.

A pack of dogs they frolic with glee,
As the fisher folk heave coir ropes dogs from there flee.

Golden sunlight darts out of stagnant clouds formless,
Group of lads, beach volley ball they play tireless

As I sit ten meters away from wet sandy shores,
Melody erupts as waves repeat encore.

Sunset Beach

Here I am on the isle of Oahu.
This Hawaii vacation was long overdue.
There's a lot to see in Honolulu City.
Have you heard of the beach called Waikiki?
With the sand and the palm trees, it looks quite pretty.
However, if I want to get away for a while,
I will just take a short trek to the north of the isle.
There's a nicer place within a short driving reach.
Spend some time with me at Sunset Beach.

For Barbie - at Qualicum Beach

~~~ For Barbie ~~~
(At Qualicum Beach)
I remember children's laughter
carried on the breeze.
I remember wading in ocean water,
barely to our knees.
We'd walk for what seemed like miles
on days when the tide was out
trying to find deeper water.
It was there, we had no doubt.
Soft sand between our toes,
dodging a crab or two.
Giggling and splashing in warm waves.
That was me and you.
Those were magical days
and that beach still looks the same,
especially when the tide is out
and the ocean looks so tame.
When I smell the fresh ocean breeze
and it ruffles my graying hair,
I think back to those days
and I wish we both were there.
The Wild Ocean
I do look at the ocean with longing
I have often seen that mass of water, ever since I was a child
I live, after all, on an island surrounded on all sides by a salty spring
Yet, now, looking at it, I do feel a sudden rush, it makes me wild
Looking at it, I do believe I am but the ocean's child
I wish I could build my own boat
A small one, with strength and resistance
On it, towards the world's limits, I would float
From Greece to Egypt, from India to France
A boat of strength, on it I would float, going where it wills, in good abidance !
Maybe I would find the king of mermaids
Maybe I would find the lost city of Atlantis
Why, maybe I would even find the world's most wanted caids
Why, my boat, my dream boat, it shall take me to my own Adonis
Yes, looking at the sea, I dream of mermaids, of a bold lover, in all, of peace!
The Beach
What a magical place, the beach.
Where there is no need to sing and no need to look back to the regrets of each day.
Where we can silently listen to what it is the waves try to tell
Where the rocks serve as the cushion where we softly lay down each painful
memory, that even though they hurt we want to protect.
Where the past becomes jealous of the present.
Where we patiently await for the waves to carry away the message in a bottle to some
safe and nonexistent destination.
Yes, the beach, where the cool breeze caresses the stress and sadness off our faces
Where crying in the rain is over-rated
Where every tear drowns a memory
And the waves crash against the rocks as if beating an odd
Where there is no need to sing, do you hear the wind? Do you understand its melody?
Can you feel its strength undressing every inch of every scar time has tattooed in our
lives?
The beach and its wide space where you can hear the eco of your silence screaming into
the air whatever it is that makes you silently cry.
Where every ray of sun burns the unnecessary and painful thoughts that float into space.
Yes, the beach where the silence is invaded by the splendid rudeness of the wind
Where you can build a castle in the sand, be the queen/king, and rule the world.
Where we can freely unleashed the Black Stallion inside our spirits that we are forced to
imprison.
Where you see the future shine in the polychromatic coral reefs.
Where salt taste so sweet.
The beach where 5:00 A.M. is the precise time to live for an eternity and 6:00pm the
precise time to leave it all behind and start all over again.
BORACAY
                              White-sugary sand
                 Desirable beaches that surround
                              Sunrise at its prime
       Sunset's a beautiful scenery of love and freedom
                             A place to unwind
                        Greets you with a smile
  Travel, lifestyle, entertainment - name it and you'll find
           Sailing, diving, surfing and island hopping
           Gift shops, souvenirs, boutiques at D'Mall
                   Bars and restaurants to party
                  Bands, acoustic, music inviting
                    Night life's lively until dawn
                 Fire-dancing is the main show
                 Massage, foot-spa, facial service
                  Massage stations on the beach
    Or sit-back and relax for a private hotel offering
                                    Skin-art?
                     Henna-tattoos everywhere
                Though the drawings temporary
             The joy and experience are long-lasting
                  Nature-trippers will say, "WOW"
                  A splendid appearance waiting
 Volcanic caves, mangrove forest, coconut trees - so green
                And if you're up to burn your skin
                  The sun is set for sun bathing
                              An island tropical
                            In a region far-away
                            A land of promises
                            For vacation's best
                            Happiness, certain
                           Countless memories
               With people welcoming and friendly
                     In an island called, "BORACAY"
                            A paradise to keep.
The Green River
She slips from the sleeping ice.
Green, fresh, free to flow
through the great fjord.
Past the blue mountains.
She glides smoothly
over the rocks with glee,
covering them with her cool touch.
Tall evergreens cheer her on.
Waving as she courses down her chosen path,
carrying life.
All the while never tiring!
Surging forward to join the others like her.
This vast journey ,
will not end till she reaches
The Great Shores.
Her journey is joyful.
Touching all on her banks,
leaving the gift of life in her wake.
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE PHILIPPINES
Fall in love with the Philippines...
Pearl of the orient seas..
Known with its lustrous green forests..
Famous of it's soft to white beaches..
Fall in love with the Philippines..
Hospitable and respectable persons..
Lots olf activities to choose from..
Mountain climbing, camping, diving, surfing..
Choose, try and actively explore...
Fall in love with the Philippines..
Seemingly poor yet so rich in history..
All around you will see white to bronze colored Pinoys..
Nurtured by values and of traditions...
Fall in love with the Philippines..
Summer is lemonade
Summer is a lemonade
Summer breeze blowing the grass around
with a warm sun kissing my face
blue skies wrap and hug me
as I watch the butterflies race.
Summer gives me lazy days
coloured flowers and dancing trees
smell of charcoal and starry nights
brings back childhood memories.
Summer is an endless beach
sun cream, bikinis and beer
salty seaspray, fish and chips
postcards saying "wish you were here".
sunburnt shoulders and fun fares
laughter never seemed to fade
grab the ice and share around
yes Summer is a lemonade
Serenity Beach
Mystic beauty of the sky,
high above the eagle cries.
Tranquil sands beneath my feet,
reminding me of nature's peace.
Blending beauty all in one,
with silent moments under the sun.
The silence of Serenity Beach,
and calmness of the open sea,
whispers from the solem breeze.
Breathing in the salty air,
the wind brushes through my hair.
With tranquil moments under the sun,
soon this day is over and done.
Waves in tune with melodies,
and peacefulness surrounding me.
A Day at the Beach
Here I am Running away, Walking at the beach, counting the days, I see the sun, I covered my face. Feeling the wind, I know I can't win in this race. I sat under A tree, feeling the sand with my feet, Oh how I want to be free. These days the problems kept me captive. These shadows of fears seems to be abrasive. I just want to stay, I don't want to leave, It's better in this Island, there are matters you can still believe. Clear waters, Aqua sky, I envy the birds that soar & fly. I want to sing another lullaby, I sat on a swing & a flashback pass by. But in every decision you have to be wise. I don't know why, but to me this is paradise. And now I lay down on the sand, A melody that should be put to an end. And again I wiped my tears, It's because of these unending fears. I am hurt, and I am weak, Then I looked up asking what to seek. Like a little girl I cried, I wanted comfort because I'm tired. Tired of seeing people lying, tired because I'm also hiding. tired of all these unanswered questions. tired of people with their exaggerated opinions. And I don't want to go back, cos I know I'm safe here. But God gave me that courage to fight w/ every fear. Maybe I am confuse now, and maybe not yet satisfied, But my Faith is giving me the assurance I'll have a balanced Life.
On West Wittering Beach
Along the golden sands
Walking and talking
Holding hands
Splashing and frolicking
On West Wittering we are
Hearts thumping
Our wants increasing
Urges pumping
A blanket we spread
On the sands of time
As we lie together
Our bodies primed
Our hands in wander
All over we roam
Our lips melted in kiss
As they find their way home
Under the clear blue sky
Our flesh is revealed
Two lovers in join
Our unity sealed
In rhythmic rhythm
On the sands we dance
The breakers applaud
To our loving romance
The wind whistles
Over our curves in delight
In a crescendo of joy
Our inner lava ignites
As we lay on the blanket
On the West Wittering sands
We were orchestral in love
With our wandering hands
Winter Beach
After the rain,
the speckled glint of shimmering sand
is now muddy brown.
Like a blind, closed tight on the warmth of summer,
the winter beach has shrunken in,
changing the colours of my day into
a darker palette, shades of grey.
The sun shriveled
pale faced and worn
as the cold season begins.
Seagulls a beacon
against a slate November sky
their sound, comfort to a lonely beach.
The steps down to the water, pea green,
slimy weed on stone
bright against an ink-rippled tide.
Seaweed colours bleed into my mind while
textures playfully mingle.
The salt air stings my nostrils
caresses my lungs with wellness.
Sea sounds carry from the shores of Wales
as I crunch the length of the ebbing milk tide.
I look to the horizon and imagine another me
walking a beach somewhere over there,
listening to my thoughts,
as they channel the sea
Grateful for this beauty, the gift of the nature
I look over my shoulder, my footprints remain
solid, as in a freshly cemented path
their sound, echoes in the shells.
On Brighton Beach
Tents of various colours in parade across the sands
It's summer time in Brighton as the sun beams down so grand
Families too many to mention, on blanketed abound
Whilst laughter resonates from the children all around
Even nature has her say as the waves caress the shore
Just like yesterday, and so many years before
Gliding terns and seagulls grace the thermal flow
As they anticipate the pickings that present them down below
Rock pools gather attraction, a learning call for the young
Explained by thoughtful parents, of how we all began
Sails of shapes and sizes appear against the blues
Boats and ships aplenty in sailing tacking cruise
My day now nears it's end, on this wonderful Brighton Beach
So many joys surround me, I'm so thankful their in my reach
The Beach At Eby Rd - - - My Quiet Place
The Ocean breeze soothes me. The sound of waves relaxes me. Soft sand between my toes, collecting unique driftwood to make crafts, beachcombing is my "quiet place". You can't live on an island and not love the water. I can sit and watch boats sailing by or watch eagles soaring in the sky. The beach is where I go to sooth my soul and find my inspiration. ~~~~ The Beach at Eby Rd.~~~~ (my quiet place) At the end of the road, I park, leaving my shoes behind. I walk along the sandy beach. All troubles leave my mind. I breathe in the sweet ocean air, raise my face to the sun. Inspiration flows through my veins. Another poem's begun.
Happy Hampton Beach
Glistening throngs walk in detached cadence
Sweating long necks on a production line
Along the boardwalk
Pungent saltwater and fried dough drifts
Ocean meets country fair
Constant clamor of teen and seagull
A multitude of color variation
Red to black
Whiffs of Coppertone and Noxzema
To ease the pain of the vain and pale
Summer at Happy Hampton Beach
Arcade upon arcade
Clinking bells and whirly sounds
“You’re a Winner!” it screams
And then we are gone, until next year
Bloody Omaha
Midnight June the 5th 1944 me and my buddies departed Weymouth and put out to
sea
To smash through Hitlers eastern wall to liberate Europe and make her once again
free
We knew some,most of us wouldnt be coming back
As we neared Omaha beach at 4am we started to take German flak
From high above us we could hear the bombers delevering there deadly cargo to
the enemy on the ground
The french coast was pummeled as night turned to day followed by the cargos
deathly sound
It looked like the 4th of July and i wondered if id ever see another one
Then our landing craft doors opened my buddies in front didnt stand a chance
bullets tore them to shreds and they were gone
All around me carnage reigned we were in a killing zone the bluffs seemed so
distant they shouldnt be that far away
I looked around me at my buddies dying or dead before me some motionless where
they lay
Something had gone terribly wrong we wernt even on the right stretch of beach
I needed to get to cover quickly i saw a sand dune took my chance and managed
just to reach
The day was breaking now i gazed around me as the dawn broke through the night
I felt sickened and appauled at what i saw ive never forgot that sight
And still the carnage continued as one by one the Rangers fell
Ive never been a religous man but that morning i saw hell
The Germans shouldnt be this strong here thats what we were told
But we had to get off this beach i didnt want to be one of the fallen lying
motionless,cold
There were 36 men left in my unit we now numbered just 5
The other guys around me were dead or dying i was fighting to survive
But i was one of the lucky ones i managed to get through that day
Looking back to that time and such a terrible price my buddies had to pay
5 beaches were taken that day Gold Juno Sword Omaha and Utah
I was a young sargeant in the 2nd Rangers my beach was Bloody Omaha
And in my minds eye i still see the beach that day and the sea running red
I still see the tide washing up my buddies the dying and the dead
Historians looking back now see where the mistakes were made
Omaha bloody Omaha its referred to is where such a high price was paid
Nearly 5,000 young Americans and Canadians on that beach on that day
We must never forget them they and what they did and the price they had to pay
Omaha was the bloodiest but lest we not forget the other four
For they shall allways be in my prayers for today and for ever more
