My treasure chest

My treasure chest

My treasure chest, is not a truth
It’s but a metaphor
For I have never dreamed of wealth
My treasure is much more
It’s filled with the moon, the stars at night
And the sun that shines each day
And the beauty of the darkest sky
That highlights milky-way.

It’s filled with trees, majestic trees
And birds that sing so sweetly
My treasure chest it be filled up
But never though completely
Everything that’s beautiful
Is in my treasure chest
It’s filled with all the countless things
That make me happiest.

My treasure chest is never ending
It goes on till forever
It’s filled with all the love that lives
And the sweetness of together
I need no other treasure chest
This one, it satisfies me
For me, I know with certainty
It contains eternity.

A New Day

I might sparkle in the night but I'm not the only star you might not see them in the sky it depends on where you are Am I the only light in your eyes that makes you smile when you cry if your favorite's what you say don't you blink it might fade away Only when we give everything we're truly ready for better things we invite ourselves off to drift the steam rises and our spirits lift Follow me, into sun sets be brave and strong with no regrets and when the sea takes the light we'll find a new day after the night there's still a new day after the night

The moon

The summer passed so fast
I thought you and I would never last
You told me our memories won’t be just a blast
Ever was I the one to doubt our past.

Clouds were soon hiding the sun
The difficult hadn’t even yet begun
I saw your shadow everywhere I went
I guess that’s just how much you meant.

But even in the darkest hour
The moon was there-a source of power
And each look made you feel so near
A dream to chase the presence of my fear…

New Year's Eve

Can’t think about the Year that didn’t last
Can’t fight the time and how it passed so fast…
Voices were cheerful that night
Everyone was full of silver light

I heard the sounds but didn’t care
I couldn’t help but only think and stare…
I dreamed of love that possibly I’ll never share
And of life that was just like a fairytale.

In that second of complete despair
I saw the moon and realized it was all a dare
Then your voice whispered in my ear
Promising me all I needed to hear…

A star called love

When the stars were shining brightly
And the moon was full of hope
  'Twas then your love departed
And your heart began to roam

And when the sun had risen
And your lover kissed your lips
My heart was in a prison
The bars with tears did drip

But when all the stars had fallen
And the moon was left to mourn
'Twas then I saw you weeping
 Brokenhearted and forlorn

A Winner

I'm gonna try to be the President.
A major league baseball player.
I'm gonna try to be a football star.
A big casino winner.
I'm gonna try to drag around a fire hose.
Drive a hook and ladder.

Here's a few things, I'm gonna try to be.
I'm gonna try to be a winner.
Save up all my money.
Try to live it up.
I'm only just a beginner.

I'm gonna try to be a movie star.
A motion picture actor.
Then I'm gonna live it up, in Hollywood.
Become a top ten singer.
Here's just a few things, I'm gonna try to be.
I'm gonna try to be a winner.

I'm gonna try to be a winner..

She held a handful of stars

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Queen of starlight

She held a handful of stars
She tossed them far
Scattering through,
the midnight sky

The star that landed on me..........
Was my destiny
For this star,
choose to be..............
the star for me

Scattering through,
billions of stars
There is one waiting for you

Glittering glow,
from my chosen star so
Scattered throught the blackest night
This one, I won't let go

This star
So bright
It came so far you see.............
yes bright
Hair the colour of night

She held a handful of stars
She held one for me
The star she held................
Was my destiny

One for me........
One for you........
Travelling too........
Such stars are meant to be..........

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Scattering starlight

The archer of laughter Sagittarius

The Archer of laughter
[Sagittarius]

He needs to know; not trivia
But all those deeper things
Needs a higher education
He wants his life to bring
All the answers big and vast
He wants to travel too
Cause he has heaps of energy
He loves to do things new.

He cannot handle boredom
He must be on the go
If not in the physical
Then he will have to know
Everything about anything
He’s a philosopher, this too
He loves to have his high ideals
And he’ll always say what’s true.

But most of all he loves to laugh
To him life be a game
He doesn’t do traditional
And he don’t like things the same
He can be over bearing
But you’ll like him anyway
Though he will really pee you off
When he has too much to say.

There can be only one

A tribute to John Sherman

There can be only one

I’ve been around a long, long time
So many folk I’ve Known
I’ve shared a beer and a social chat
And as the years have flown
I’ve had my share of legends
Put many folk on high
And yet one guy I will remember
Until the day I die

I’d have to say that John Sherman
Has impressed me most of all
He gives himself to everyone
Though the man he be no fool
He’s humble, kind and cares a lot
For all folk on this earth
There can be only one man
For me that has his worth

John Sherman changed my life around
And saved me from myself
Through him I gained my sanity
He gave to me true wealth
I raise my glass for this great man
He’s the grandest that can be
To me there’s only one hero
John Sherman, he’s for me.

The soul of the Crab

The soul of the crab

Oh how she hides behind that shell
Lets no one see her feelings
She’s practical in everything
But those feelings have her reeling
She’s sensitive, and hurt easy
And her moods they be so many
And yet she has not one bad bone
Malice, she has not any.

She be the one for queen and country
Digs into history
She’s always loyal to her kin
She loves her family
She’ll protect them with her life
Don’t no one touch her man!!!
She has a brilliant memory
And she’ll get you when she can.

Her mother, she loves very much
But her children more than that
Wherever there be family
That’s where she would be at
And how she loves to entertain
And cook delicious food
And always she will be a mother
In her heart will be her brood
