The Stone

The Tale below was carved one night,
Upon the Stone, by candlelight
...most won’t believe, but some just might
.........most won’t believe, but some just might

.                         Preface

Well James made Beth his lovely bride
(And angels smiled, though teary eyed)
...their bodies bound, their spirits tied
.........their bodies bound, their spirits tied

Upon her hand, a shimmer shone,
As bright as blood, a ruby Stone
...and brighter still, as love had grown
.........and brighter still, as love had grown

Soon James was sent to man a sail
So Beth removed her wedding veil
...her eyes were bright, her face was pale
.........her eyes were bright, her face was pale

“Well, I’ll be here when you return”
Said Beth to James, who kissed in turn
...a kiss that made her body burn
.........a kiss that made her body burn

.                         BETH’S TALE

1.              The Dream
One night, within a dream deformed,
The cawing of a Crow informed
“...a Ship was stripped where winter stormed
.........a Ship was stripped where winter stormed

Midst winds and waves the thunder boomed
The Ship of Death was surely doomed
...the sea engulfed, the sea entombed
.........the sea engulfed, the sea entombed

Your James... denied by Davy Jones!
His spirit gone, his flesh and bones
...are resting now amongst the Stones
.........are resting now amongst the Stones”

2.               The Quest

Awoken by the ebon Wight
And beckoned by the baneful bight
...I left before the morning light
.........I left before the morning light

Throughout the realm I rode a roan
Until, in time, I reached the Stone
...where shades and dreams in darkness groan
.........where shades and dreams in darkness groan

While skipping up and down the sky
A missing moonbeam mocked my eye
...enough to make a Swallow cry
.........enough to make a Swallow cry

For someone stole a star or two
And something else that fate withdrew –
...my jewel of joy, my James Bijou
.........my jewel of joy, my James Bijou

The shadows of the evening swelled
Where demons of the dusk had dwelled
...and in the far, a vesper knelled
.........and in the far, a vesper knelled

The Stone, beneath the sky, stood cold –
Between the runes, a vapour strolled
...a cloak of fleecy fog consoled
.........a cloak of fleecy fog consoled

A Raven on a branch, enthroned,
Her wings waved once, a wail intoned
...beyond the bay, a banshee moaned
.........beyond the bay, a banshee moaned

I lay beside the Stone, his bride
I lay beside the Stone and cried
...but were it I, instead, that died
.........but were it I, instead, that died

The rainbow of the moon fell dim
A midnight Swan soon ceased to swim
...as if to hide all hint of him
.........as if to hide all hint of him

Between the willows in the swale
There sang a Bird, a Nightingale
...which left me faint and feeling frail
.........which left me faint and feeling frail

3.              Contact

I felt him breathe within a breeze
Responding to my anguished pleas
...and leaves blew by abandoned trees
.........and leaves blew by abandoned trees

“I miss you too, my darling Beth”
Re-echoed from the Ship of Death
...the future buried in a breath
.........the future buried in a breath

The Stone lit up a ruby sheen
And clouds were kindled crystalline
...with consequences, unforeseen
.........with consequences, unforeseen

Above, the wretched Raven soared
To where the Ship of Death lay moored
...beneath, the icy ocean roared
.........beneath, the icy ocean roared

4.               Release

I’m joined with James beneath the Stone,
Though to the Ship my spirit’s flown,
...for nevermore to be alone
.........for nevermore to be alone

.                         Epilogue

That night the wayward winds were weird
The Ship of Death had disappeared
...coyotes called and mortals feared
.........coyotes called and mortals feared

At dusk, the craven shadows crawled
At dawn, the winds of mourning called
...upon the Stone two names were scrawled
.........upon the Stone two names were scrawled

The Raven sits, with wings outspread,
Atop the Stone which shades the dead
...it sometimes shimmers ruby red
.........it sometimes shimmers ruby red

.                         Epitaph

Between the sounds, where silence seeps,
Their love lives on and never sleeps
...and yet, the weeping willow weeps
.........and yet, the weeping willow weeps

LOVE WILL FIND YOU

As long as there is prayer
You'll find me on my knees
Looking up to the heavens
Crying out to God, "Please!"
And as long as you're out there
If I have breath left in me
With a longing in my heart
I will set out on life's sea
Looking for where we.. were we
Girl it's killing me
Dying cause we're apart

You were once
filled with joy and laughter
We sailed together
without fear
We had our song
we loved to sing it
Now I sing alone
and no one hears
Everyday
a tidal wave of questions
Looked for answers
nothing was clear
Sudden storm
we didn't see it coming
You lost trust
quickly disappeared

So as long as there is prayer
You'll find me on my knees
Looking up to the heavens
Crying out to God, "Please!"
And as long as you're out there
If I have breath left in me
With a longing in my heart
I will set out on life's sea
Looking for where we.. were we
Girl it's killing me
Dying cause we're apart

I set sail
in unchartered waters
Breeze of hope
comes from nowhere
Set my course
you are my purpose
Want to show you
I really care
Strong belief
girl, i'll find you
When I do
you're gonna see
That in my arms
love will find you
My doubted promise
was always true

So as long as there is prayer
You'll find me on my knees
Looking up to the heavens
Crying out to God, "Please!"
And as long as you're out there
If I have breath left in me
With a longing in my heart
I will set out on life's sea
Looking for where we.. were we
Girl it's killing me
Dying cause we're apart

FAR AND AWAY

Far and away
We lovers walked
Across the meadow to the sea
And when our toes did kiss the cliffs
We stepped off into memory

Far and away
My heart is lost
Across the sea to lands unknown
For the price of one fine coat
My lover died there all alone

Far and away
My soldier sailed
Dreaming of valiant war won fame
He thought the king's shilling was all it took
To earn high glory for his name

Far and away
Fore’er  I’ll  weep
Binding ribbons round a  wreath
Behind the moon a new star shines
Life stolen from my lover’s breath

Far and away
We lovers walked
Across the meadow to the sea
And when our toes did kiss the cliffs
We stepped off into memory

Tropical Obsession

I've got a tropical obsession
I think I'm losing my mind
I want to see my work day done
Go out and have some fun
And leave the city life behind.

I love the roar of the ocean
The smell of tanning lotion
A secluded beach somewhere
There are coconuts in the trees
With a warm and gentle breeze
And a flower in your hair.

I've got a tropical obsession
It's driving me up a wall
I want the palm trees and the shore
Blue skies and so much more
Oh God! I want it all

There's an island in the sea
I can hear it calling me
Saying come on home today
I'll bring my old beach chair
Plant it in the sand somewhere
And that's where I'm going to stay

I've got a tropical obsession
And I just can't set it free
On an island remote
In a little fishing boat
Is where I want to be.

heaven on the water

trawlers steam out from dutch harbour
patroling the frozen waves
serching for gold under the sea
to feed my family

in the wheelhouse the stars shine in
skyes dark and air so thin
no mater where this vessel takes me
my heart is yerning out for you

heaven on the water
is where im dreaming of my love
i see your face on the misty spray
as im calling out your name
heaven on the water
it wont be long my love
for a few more days i know you`l guide me
guide me home to you

icey winds shiver my spine
as we bring out catch abord
empty net and broken dreams
as the waves come crashing down

storms break loose with a crash of thunder
rolling across the bering sea
up and down around then under
but still i dream of you

heaven on the water
is where im dreaming of my love
i see your face on the misty spray
as im calling out your name
heaven on the water
it wont be long my love
for a few more days i know you`l guide me
guide me home to you

i see you face as the boat goes down
sea whispering my name
beconing me to the river
where we first found love

heaven on the water
im still here my love
watching you and our daughters
from the stars above
heaven on the water
calling out your name
calling out your name
heaven on the water
calling out your name

GULL (PARTII)

Everyone has to learn...
To be a gull
One day...
It will be your turn

In a sky...
Perfect too
Upwards I flew....
To meet you

For, in us all
Is a Jonathan Livingston
Bursting through
Gulls flight...
In me and in you

It is the spirit that takes us all...
Reaching new heights
New skies
New flights

We all dream
Some chose to be....
Gulls on the sea
This is me....

As I sit, watching the going down of the sun
The gulls swoop and turn
I savour the thought
Can I become....
One of those...
Who fly until the day is done

One day....
I will come as a gull
Fly over the sea
Swoop and turn with glee
What it is to be free
One day it will be

THE SLAVE GIRL

From fabrics torn, in ruin, she hail,
Above the deck, beneath the sail,
Above silent meadow, the sea,
Her frosty breath, in doom, she see.

Her fondness torn, her kids apart,
Though love follows her broken heart,
Her sorrow tears on rusted chains,
For holding children once again.

The howling steam erased skies,
And fright gallops the silent cries,
As faces pale in feeble grip,
And sea moaning the crowded ship.

The days are past, remedies none,
The burned down farms from firing sun,
They bent on knees for kids to feed,
Beneath the feet for coin, indeed.

Her husband dead from bones to sweat,
Hard labor earning, closing, debt,
She buried body, beneath the farm,
And begs for mercy, waiting harm.

The beats in rage far fierce than flame,
The bells were rung, with chains they came,
Her toes were trembling, wrath unfolds,
They tortured, beat and tied her, cold.

While taken heart and soul from kids,
The slave in chain with tearful lids,
They dragged and stripped in crowded street,
And brought with slaves to ship, the fleet.

Through cries unheard and night she sails,
With slaves in ship with fuming trails,
To hungers deep in scalding cold,
And chapped lip-lines numb, breaking hold.

Her skin was pale, the hunger tale,
As blue veins rose beneath her nails,
To fading night, her dim eyes sleep,
Her moon-light fades and die asleep.

I LOVE YOU HAPPINESS

I wanted to put myself in a space occupied by happiness
Sweet embrace of the breeze felt in the sea side of Pahut Bongao near Sanga-sanga
Everyone is happy doing the ritual of Panulak Bala’
The month to throw misfortunes that Tausug believed
Beach full of dancing waves from the sea
Never limit the horizon of falling leaves of trees

From The National Poet Of Slovenia In A Language People Understand - THE RUINS OF THE ANCIEN REGIME

Farewell, then, AUKN boss,
The next this year makes three.
By the time they find a substitute,
Slovenes will be at sea.

He tried to cover his behind;
AUKN boss of bosses,
As every week, balances grew bleak:
He weighed merits and losses.

With all this he'd no time to eat,
And round and round he flew.
And now he's split in a hissy-fit;
So helmsman, too-de-loo!

Day after day, day after day,
He drifted on the ocean;
Guano-vernment rained on his ship
Their suggestions for promotion.

Cousins, cousins, everywhere,
Corporate boards crosslink;
Cousins, cousins, everywhere,
Let's take you for a drink.

Accountants talking rot: O Christ!
Missions, visions - oh please!
Yea, slimy characters need legs
And slimy policies.

So has he done an hellish thing?
Not hired who? We dunno:
Was it absurd, to have a separate curd
From the whey Slovenia owes?
This wretch won't play, after 60 days;
Pissflaps, he'll have to go!

God help ya, gospod Bencina
From the fiends, that plague us thus! -
It's time to go — shot like cross-bow,
The AUKN boss.

Ah! walk-out day! what evil looks
Had I from Ernst and Young!
Who's at a loss? AUKN's boss
Wouldn't take a bung?

"You'll be" quoth one, "abolished - no
Stigma to double-cross."
He chose to go - why? We don't know:
Harmless AUKN boss.

Re-reading the original gave me a great idea for dinner until I realised all the storks have all flapped off to Africa for the winter. Pity, as I have some ancient marinade from Tuš. Like the subject of the poem, I didn't have the stamina for a Coleridge-length effort.

Upon the sea of moonlight

My quiet reflection..........

With the coming of the night

My quiet reflection

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

My journey through the night

There is no darkness to fear

For, the light of the moon is here

Soft silver moonbeams.........

More than I can dream

Guides me through the night.......

My journey upon the Sea of Moonlight

The night wind blew.........

Filling my sail..........

Filling me too..........

On my journey's trail

The night wind blew

Far in to the night

The night wind blew

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

For, the sail never flapped

It remained steady

The night wind trapped

Every gust...........

Every eddy

Witnessed only by the night

The silent crossing

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Within all our dreams

We all take sail

Under moonbeams

The journey's trail

The night wind blows

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Darkest

Before dawn

Before the sun rose

The coming of sunlight

The dream world

Travelled at night

With the sail unfurled

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

For some...

The journey never ends right

For  some....

Time to leave the Sea of Moonlight

Your sail, to catch moonbeams

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

To travel, in your dreams

Pushed far into the night

My quiet reflection...........

With the coming of the night

Your quiet reflection

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

My Lady, A Sailors Lot

Jumped on a ship in Boston
Set sail for the open seas,
Give my lady one last kiss
It'll be awhile she'll be seein me.
I said, "dont worry darlin,
I'll carry you right here in my heart;"
 I watched her wave with a tear in her eye,
You know it tore my soul apart.

Been travelin now bout four months
Or maybe a little while more;
Sent off a letter to my lady-love
The day we first made shore.
Told her how much i missed her,
And how i longed to hold her so;
Please know im thinkin of you baby,
But for now love i have to go.

Boson handed me a letter,
When we made the next Port of Call,
Tore it open like a kid at Christmas,
Now i wished i didnt touch it at all,
She said she was so lonely,
And she met a man who loved her so;
She said," sorry it had to be this way,
but its for the best you know."

Time seems to moves so slowly,
When the sea becomes your home;
Loves will come and go with the wind,
And you still wind up all alone.
Now the sea has become my lady,
She gently rocks me to sleep at night;
And though i miss a womans touch,
My soul will be with the sea tonite.

Praying For Rain -Chris D Aechtner-

Praying For Rain (collaboration with-Chris D. Aechtner)

by~ CHRIS D. AECHTNER:

She resembles a ghost from the past,
and I wonder how long she will last?

There is no turning back-
cannot turn my back on her now.
Watching the sea slowly reclaim this pearl,
I can see just a hint of the girl,
shimmering beneath a film of sickness.

She still smiles through a frown of pain,
strengthening my resolve to see this through,
to make sure we both equally gain.
And when the waves finally pull her away,
pull out her dying breath,
will she transform back into rain?

She leans on me, light as a feather.
So light and fragile.
There is no turning back-
cannot turn my back on her now.
Watching the sea slowly reclaim this pearl,
I can see just a hint of the girl,
shimmering beneath a veil of sickness.

Hold her hand,
hand her back a smile,
I am praying for rain,
praying for rain.

*** by~ POET D:

Feel her peace,
Listen for her voice,
I am praying for rain,
praying for rain.

My dreams will always wonder in her field of rain.
A journey withered under the wavy seas.
There is no turning back-
cannot turn my back on her now.
Watching the sea slowly reclaim this pearl,
I can see just a hint of the girl,
shimmering beneath a veil of sickness.

Light as a feather, I fell her Autumn sun,
I feel her presence, her sickness is gone,
upon my face I feel the moonlight rain.
At last she is leaving behind these wiping tears.
Her rain-less eyes now open the seas and skies,
pouring her jewels of purity in to my heart.

There is no turning back-
cannot turn my back on her now.
Watching the sea slowly reclaim this pearl,
I can see just a hint of the girl,
shimmering beneath a veil of sickness.

She is the ghost from my past
and I pray for this essence of her rain to last.

The Anne Marie Gale

There she sits, ready to fly, to be free and take sail
A beautiful ship, the love of my life, The Anne Marie Gale
Ready to take on the harshest storms, the hurricanes
The darkness and the rain, typhoons, and all the pain
She sails off, leaving me behind, lost forever in vain
I watch you slip away, my beautiful Anne Marie Gale
When you were once here, in the harbors of my heart
Set off to sail, and to take the wind, as I watch you part

You are a beauty, an angel, sails are your wings of the sea,
where behind your veil, You look out ahead, and see
all your flags are flying, your sails of pearls are furled
On your mast your colors, are waving you on to your destiny
Here you took my heart, and now you are taking the world
Leaving me a shallow old man, to cry alone and wail
Where have I gone? Lost in time, with The Anne Marie Gale

Will you return someday? And return to a place once home?
Where I stand at the oceans’ edge in the waves, sand and foam
I watch from the light houses, and islands, their tallest towers
Waiting your return, counting each day, each second, each hour
I feel the wind and rain pour through my veins, ripping my soul
Taking my heart to the depths, into the end of times final hours
where I cannot not escape, nor do I dare let go the ropes holding me
Binds me, keeping me tied forever a knot, only time unfolding me

Soon the winds of a gale will take me, and my strength will soon fail
As I wait out my life in wonder of the beautiful Anne Marie Gale
Do you ever remember me from your heart? See me through the veil?
Or are you set free by your sails forever with the winds and gales?
That take you into the adventures you seek, of The Anne Marie Gale
A beautiful clipper, built from the heart of my woods, and of golden rails
The storms of my heart, a gold jewel of the sea, the wind in your sail
Forever I will be a ghost aboard the pure heart of the Anne Marie Gale,

Powder Monkey

The noose is a nightmare for any seafaring man
Especially those who thrive the best they can

Danger lurks on the waves like a mugger in the shadows
The only concern is the prize and the gallows

For the young pressed into service have two labors
Cabin boy or powder monkey are their favors

A fair share for those who survived
Though not to many lived to enjoy the ride

Mostly master gunners would employ the young ones
For the task of loader and powder runs

A grizzly sight to any mother of today
Blood spattered, powder covered, limbs severed portray

I dare say I met one intact and conscious
He was rude and quite audacious

No name had he just an X above the knee
His mark given by Captain of the Breeze

A sloop of war in Caribbean was this
Massacred whole crews drunk as piss

The boys attitude so moved my heart
That I had to set him free from his part

Before I saw him he was the only one left to be hanged
Port Royals mob clawed and fanged

I set to watch when I saw how young he was
I had to do something for his cause

I bid the court give me custody immediately
They awaited the response from the Admiralty

The response was yes almost to late
For the executioner just removed the safety plank

He kicked and cried for a moment then released
With the knife of the kings lease

A bruise found its way around his neck as a reminder
For a life against the grinder

I sailed him back to London to learn a trade
And go to school for a decade

I later named him after my name kidd
Later to be known as William Kidd

My Wonderful Love and Me

My Wonderful Love and Me

We met by the sand and the sea
My wonderful love and me

We sat on the sand by the sea
My wonderful love and me

We played in the waves of the sea
My wonderful love and me

The sun shone on us both at the sea
My wonderful love and me

We married there down by the sea
My wonderful love and me

We built us a house by the sea
My wonderful love and me

Our family grew with us there by the sea
My wonderful love and me

Years passed for us there by the sea
My wonderful love and me

Illness took her away by the sea
My wonderful love from me

Now I sit here alone by the sea
Sad that she’s taken from me

I think how we met by the sea
How happy we both seemed to be

I remember our times by the sea
Memories now only for me.

PARIS GULLS

The scent of oceans, a certain coolness
of wind over water wanders these city streets
where oleander blooms wickedly
in the ruby assignation of the heart.
An occosional grayed gull, bonded to the Seine,

grown fat with pigeons and lazy for the river
forgets raw Novembers he owned the coast,
forgets the dangerous face of the sea after storms:
her width cut arrow straight at the horizon,
ragged at the shore, like lace to granite.

Standing on the Pont de l'Alma, watching one
lone expatriate gull scan the surface
of this fabled river that travels seaward
to Le Havre, I remember
colonies of gulls, how they plotted

their exodus across our island to the harbor,
or on the pinnacles of the fort, where
no invaders except sea birds come,
seeking shelter from their free lives as if
freedom is too much to bear sometimes,

drawing with their terrible focus
a telegraphy of sharp cries, wings dipping
into the morning harvest of seaweed and shell
among the hooves of wild horses,
the old bones of sailers.

THE WISHING WELL OF A SUN-RISE,

It is...within the tiny things of early morning, that moment breaths alive, it is within the tiny whisperings, that a melodye plays...like the very dear and the antelope, play home on the range.

so goes the melodye of heart beat, that plays quietly the songs of soul,

here a rhyme is born of day-light coming so soon, through the early morning eyes of the moon-light, and the starry dreams of twilight's transitioning...

into the light of a love letter written to dawn.

soul to soul conversing, as in this love letter, the letters just join hands with the words and just march across the sky...and at the end of the rainbow, there be plenty of golden time,

way down deep on the inside,

...as the inspired choir, of a bumble bee, or a butterfly, starts to sing, like tiny things that live,

flower to flower,
blossom to bloom,

watered and deeply cared for...

O' Eden.

I say, deep beneath the surface of a wishing well...where the pennies lay,

I wish a sun-rise.

UPON THE SEA OF MOONLIGHT

My quiet reflection..........

With the coming of the night

My quiet reflection

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

My journey through the night

There is no darkness to fear

For, the light of the moon is here

Soft silver moonbeams.........

More than I can dream

Guides me through the night.......

My journey upon the Sea of Moonlight

The night wind blew.........

Filling my sail..........

Filling me too..........

On my journey's trail

The night wind blew

Far in to the night

The night wind blew

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

For, the sail never flapped

It remained steady

The night wind trapped

Every gust...........

Every eddy

Witnessed only by the night

The silent crossing

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Within all our dreams

We all take sail

Under moonbeams

The journey's trail

The night wind blows

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Darkest

Before dawn

Before the sun rose

The coming of sunlight

The dream world

Travelled at night

With the sail unfurled

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

For some...

The journey never ends right

For  some....

Time to leave the Sea of Moonlight

Your sail, to catch moonbeams

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

To travel, in your dreams

Pushed far into the night

My quiet reflection...........

With the coming of the night

Your quiet reflection

Upon the Sea of Moonlight

Splashing, thrashing, wetly crashing rages the rolling sea, like a dying serpent swirled in waves of misery! Through stormy gales and black of night, this sailor from afar follows the dim, faint, speckled glow of heaven's Compass Star!

The Selkie

~~~~` from the ocean , he comes ....    ~~~~
Out of the waves the seal has come
through froth and foamy seas
to shed his skin and walk on land,
his passions to appease.
To find a maiden of his own
to woo and gently please
and once her heart is given him
he'll head back to the seas.
The lovely man who turns the heads
of love lorn innocents,
he is the Selkie of folk lore,
who leaves, but not repents.
The Selkie comes to woo the heart,
his passions to appease,
then leaves the maid in tears, bereft,
and heads back to the seas.
Out of the waves the Selkie comes,
sheds fur to walk as man.
He plays around with human hearts,
his temporary plan.
Out of the sea a Selkie walks.
Do not fall 'neath his spell
for he will not remain on land.
It's in the sea he'll dwell.
AMETHYST
The colour of my love
For you
Amethyst
Softest
Sweetest
Colour
Meant for you
Loving colour
from me
Given to you
Feeling it too
Like mist from the sea
Amethyst
Finds you
What you have missed
The colour complete
as you have wished
Amethyst
Given to you
The colour kissed
Delicately
As sea mist
Amethyst
Amethyst
My love too
The colour
You cannot resist
The softest kiss
Has always been in you
DARK FOREST
The lakes edge
Shone in silver light
A moon , so bright,
in a dark forest night
The moon rose silently
In a clear starlight sky
The creatures of the night
Came out in a dark forest,
to play, in moonlight
Such unnaturally tall trees,
with no branches in sight
No leaves
Stood still
In a dark forest
Under moonlight
As I drew closer
The tall trees were all in a row
No branches in sight
I pulled away the tangled vines
I could see...
Masts, spars ropes and lines
The ships!
The wood in which a ship is made
Returned to the dark forest
Where the keel was shaped and laid
The wooden ships that carried the Heartstone
Across a sea, so blue
Had returned to a forest
That the timbers once knew
When a ship comes to die
It must return
To where its timbers were born
A ship to lie....
Amongst the trees
The masts, swaying in a gentle breeze
The whispering trees
Took the ships
Took the wood
Made it their own
As any magic could
In a dark forest
Graceful ships of wood
No longer hear the sea roar
instead of sails they once wore
They hear birds singing
Leaves rustle
Masts creaking
Ships, run aground
In a dark forest
Back to wood
Back to trees
Waiting to be found
Leaves replaced sails
Spars became branches
Became something new
Neptune, Mystic lady
In mythology Neptune is male. But in astrology she represents unconditional love.
which to me is a feminine thing.
Neptune, Mystic Lady.
Neptune, sweetest mystic maid
They call you yang! Yet can’t they see?
That you, you be the mystic Mother,
You symbol purest mystery.
Ruling Pisces with your beauty,
Two fishes swim, the one each way
You point each soul unto each journey
“The Tao! Yes you be the way.
“Poets, musicians gather round me”
That’s what Neptune seems to say.
Her way be easier via Pisces,
Yet you may get there any way.
But don’t you fight her, or confusion
Might drive you to insanity.
Or drugs, or booze may beckon to you,
Young Neptune well she must be free.
Neptune says “Come on, disolve now,
Find out, you be the ocean too,
Each wave it be its own creation,
Of something that be ever new”
Oh Neptune “love with no conditions”
You be each souls own destiny,
You be the all, filled bold with beauty,
Oh, Neptune, maid of mystery.
A sea of dreams
We all find a place...
The one space....
Where no one else can go,
Deep in our dreams so
A sea of dreams,
Where the light....
Golden glow,
We can let go
A sea of dreams,
Painted skies
The sunlight,
Created for you
For what lies in the heart...
Can only be true
Take your self there...
You owe it to your self
A sea of dreams,
To a place you know where
The birds fly by,
In a world known only to you
In a sea of dreams
Pain and hurt do not exist,
Only in the world you haven't missed
A bird, came in to sight...
Bursting free...
In to the light
This is you....
Dreaming right
Everything in sight...
On a sea of dreams
You can let it all go
Everything is not as it seems...
Merely ways...
To stop a bird...
Bursting free,
In to the light
Surfer
The boy scans the horizon looking into his soul
And the beauty of the waves as they roll
Sun sits just above the lowest cloud in the distance
Today there is no resistance
Breaking into a run for Neptune’s playground
The beat against his board a familiar sound
Smiling to himself for the freedom he knows here
A break he sees the next one is clear
A few strokes and he stands guiding his board
Through the enchanting spray and the roar
A dolphin joins him on the wave their fun evident
A blessing of conjoining spirits now spent
A swell surges from the kiss of the tempest wind
Enraging the boys inner sin
Take hold of the reins Neptune he shouts
Again he braces for the watery bouts
The beach clears of visitors he makes his stand
Today I am no longer boy, but man
The companion sees his courage and swims near
Drowning is his inner fear
The crest of his wave broke only to rise again
Awaking the instincts within
He swims in front of his beast and stands proud
Turning his waist smartly to ride it out
He slips under the ripcurl entering the tunnel
A roar inside hint at disgruntled
The water closes in to seal him in
A chance to break him his back to end
Not quick enough he thinks to himself
As he races back to the beach in health
My colour cosmic colour sea
My colour Cosmic sea
Waves of lilac and white
Fill me with glee
Cosmic delight
The Cosmos here
The Cosmos there
You are near.........
Kiss me!
If you dare!
The Cosmos you see,
is the fresh colour sea
My body,my boat
This is me,
riding the Cosmos sea
Soft winds change direction
Lilac and white deflection
This is me,
riding the Cosmos sea
Moving colour sea,
blowing to you and I
Cosmic power,
felt in Cosmos flower
We dreamily sigh
Cosmic field
Colour sea
You,....... yield
This is me
My love sealed
To hear soft wind,
blowing through
My colour sea
This is me,
Riding with you,
on the Cosmos sea
Siren's Song
She’s alone under beach lights, she’s screaming at air
wishing someone would notice, could anyone hear,
feel the anguish, the loss, losing battle of one?
She’s at war with the world and she’s comming undone.
‘It’s all wrong,’ left her lips, ‘it’s alright,’ said the tides,
‘sometimes we all need a safe place to hide,
to wait inside shadows, return with new light
cause we change and we change till the patterns are right.’
‘But this pounding resounding inside of my head,
I fear is the only thing tangible left.
I can hear it and feel it consuming my head,
eats me up from the inside, lays nothing to rest.’
But the water just turned and it crashed upon rocks,
became angry, determined, climbed onto the dock,
said, ‘Listen to me, I am old and I am wise,
what reason have I to fill you with lies?
I’m a part of your body, a piece of your world,
have I not kept you living since you were a girl?’
But her feet kept on forward at a steady pace
“I’m sick and I'm tired, I'm leaving this place.
I can wait no longer for the turning of time.
I'm the only one left and I’ve been left behind.”
‘But they’re here! Someone’s coming! It won’t be long yet.”
but her mind was as certain as certain could get
and the rushing of water had drown out the sound
as the pounding inside became heavy and loud
and the water, though angry, then grew very still
whispered ‘There is nothing if nothing is fueling a will.
I cannot instill a desire to live, eventual peace is all I could give.’
So she sank and she sang all the air from her lungs,
she breathed in the waves awaited silence to come.
“As I have in you, you may now flow through me,”
and the tides changed again as they dragged her to sea.
SHIPWRECKED for white contest et al
SHIPWRECK  SURVIVOR
He was lost in white surprise
Of drugs and doctors quips
His mind was filled with flapping sails
Of white that guide the ships
To dance among the white capped rocks
In North white nights of June
Bring in the catch to catch the maid
Who’d be his wife so soon.
Wild hair so white it shamed the sheet
That soft caressed the grass
The grass-plagued daisies held her there
As clouds triumphant passed
In columns white the bossy clouds
Marched brisk across the sky
But none of them could match the spark
Of whiteness in her eye.
And then his shocked brain shifted
Jigged timed across his life
How many white nights had escaped?
The maid now was his wife!
Saw breasts so white that milk they gave
Seemed paltry in contrast--
To feed the babe that snuggled there--
The fruit of love surpassed.
Then shipwreck banged into his head
The white-flashed lightning zing--
He tested feet and moved his legs
Seemed he’d  survived this fling
Of nature’s whims again he’d live
 to tell the lusty tale
of how north winds had jumped from waves
to grab their ship's main sail.
Before the White Christ
Had emerged from his Semitic genes
The sailors would have cried for Thor
To ease his hammerings.
Sailors lost were prices paid
To live in northern shores.
And, lost at sea was ever feared
By them, and wives adored.
He’d play a trick, they’d think him dead--
Would make a crafty tale!
By his hearth and in his bed
would sound a mourning wail.
His house would be a feast of black
Mad weeping would impress--
Then his imagination called her tears
He vowed each tear to bless
He smirked to think of their surprise
When he stalked through the door--
       An unsuccessful leap from bed—
                       He’d rest a little more.
And being man-- he pondered sex
And pleasures it would bring
There was no sizzling passion like
His lover’s offering.
Needle rudely poked-
Morphia drew him in
To dream the dreams of healing arms
       delightful prickles of his skin
       He found her far beyond his pain--Oh,  that smile that could disarm!
       In dreams , with wife, in languid bliss
         created white hot charm.
PRE WHIT E STORIC
Winter wild of flurries
In ancient minds
Was a shelter
  From white fear
Wolves roved
  Stayed in packs
   Howled their presence
   Hating snow
Bears slept
 Hidden away
 Violence and terror
  Only a summer dream
White drifts
  Blazing blizzards
  Wrapped safety
   Around fragile human life.
