My Easter Wish

Its Easter time for family and friends,
Joy and laughter goes on to no end.
The big Easter hunt will soon be here,
Kids are all happy to know that its near.

Its a special time in most parents life,
To have their kids around them, its an awesome sight.
They will search the house up side down,
To find the most Easter eggs, and wear the crown.

I found the most ,one kid will say,
So i wear the crown ,through out this day.
Not all Easters turn out like we plan,
For one kid is lost, like a grain of sand.

As parents we try and deal with this lost,
Of one kid not here, and the trials it has cost.
We pray that God will look after her, in her struggle to see,
How things went wrong , between her and me.

If i could turn back time ,and right the wrong,
Make things better, grow love that strong.
Pay more attention to their wants and needs,
Help them through trouble times, is where i should be.

Easter comes but once a year,
It should be the time of love and not of fear.
Trying to see things through her eyes,
Makes me feel sad, for i know she tries.

Easter Day

Easter is glorious day,
Not only to enjoy,
The candy and Easter egg hunt,
But a day,
To rejoice,
In the Lord's resurrection,
Where He gave us,
His life,
To save us from our sins,
Which we all should remember,
And charish,
Each and everyday,
Of our precious lives,
In this world,
That His Father created,
For us all to live,
And gave us a choice,
Between right from wrong,
Which is not always easy,
But if we always turn,
To the Father and the Son,
We will always find,
Them by our side,
Carrying us along the way.

the wait

The Wait
The wave of sleep washed my up on the bleak shore of the awake
half remembered dreams vanished and left behind a blank canvas.
I was alone with the grey mass of viscosity framed by boredom.
and I had no whisky or cigarettes to hide behind in my elderliness
pleasures long gone….The futures didn´t reveal itself saw I´, not
a seer, the past was an endless series of failure and I could not
recall anything in my life that had given me pleasure of lasting
kind it had all been so erratic, laughter mingled with contempt
of a circus clown with red nose.
looked out of the window and the sleeping town I noticed some
windows had light, and the 24 hour petrol station was open
they sold cigarette and booze too, put were out of happiness
and peace of mind packed in healthy disposable green bags.
Switched on the TV, Russia had occupied itself and people there
were jubilant; and they were looking for a plane that fell from
the sky a week ago, the world changes but slowly.

Palm Sunday

Excited crowds with fresh palm leaves,
Wave them and call Him King.
They pledge allegiance to their Lord
As sweet hosannas ring.

They cannot know the coming days
Will fill their hearts with dread.
Before five days have past, their king
Will be betrayed and dead.

Parishioners on this Sunday
Hold palm leaves as we sing.
Although we know on Friday they
Will crucify our King.

But we know the end of story,
On Easter He arose.
He ascended into Heaven
Astounding friends and foes.

He suffered all without protest,
Forgave us on the tree.
He conquered death forever when
He died for you and me.

Love Poem

Sweetheart when I met you
I know I would adore
The wondrous thing about you
You owned a liquor store
It wasn't the blue tint in your eyes
Or your heart that beats so dear
I knew right at that moment
You stocked my favorite beer
It wasn't your hair so chestnut red
Or how we lived in sin
The simple reason was, my love
You stocked my favorite gin
It wasn't the sexy look you gave to me
Or your angel face so fine
It simply was, my darling girl
You stocked my favorite wine
It wasn't your generous bosom
With your size double D in cups
It merely was the delightful fact
You stocked my favorite Snupps
It wasn't the ruby red of your lips
And the way you kiss so dandy
My love, it certainly had to be
You stocked my favorite Brandy
So on this day of Valentine
Please read this little tale
And don't forget at Easter time
To stock my favorite ale
