We'll Always have San Andreas

-rearranging the stars-

How could we agree to separation?
If you were destined to be my soulmate,
Why would we allow the stars to change our fate?
They've written in a fresh verse
Sewing in a new song, soon to be sung
The Stars are not to blame
The fault lies deep within our hearts

Like earthquakes wondering through the years
separating silicone valley of tears.
Sweeping sweet dreams far away
What has become of my day?
Today the sun sets holding on to old hope
Tears fall down a sudden slope

Now my dreams are dreams drowning down another road
Tonight I sit under the aspen cold
Alone, no longer in search of gold
Naming the nights you whispered words of love into my soul

Your love no longer speaks
Without warning, you fell asleep taking the Midas touch away
In my chest - I find fault
The sound of heartache echoes every day
Rejuvenating every crack I hid from display
In plain sight, I search for thee
The sun -The moon -The madness -The Salton Sea
My heart no longer speaks

Everything I dreamt of sank like the night
Stuck in quicksand -- the aftermath
Healing the scar the aftershock left behind
Finding ways to fill the gloom
Alas bridal curtains sit silently in my room
Setting boundaries between two of Earth's poetic plates
Like an earthquake passing through my heart
You left like the moon, moving mountains apart

IS THERE SOMETHING YOU forgot TO TELL Me, dear
Suddenly, San Andreas Fault looks tragic from here
Until then I will hold my breath
In hopes, our Plates will meet again

' The Moon's Pilgrimage ... '

Moon’s Pilgrimage … Across The Sky To Praise
The Maker and All His Wondrous Ways
Moon’s Pilgrimage … Rises High, In Grace
Yet, Still In A Humble – Pilgrim’s Place

Moon’s Pilgrimage … Will Not Betray
All The Moonlight, GOD Lets Display
Tho’ She Moves In His Cosmic-Stage-Play
From His Theme-Theatre, She Will Not Stray

My Pilgrimage … Thru Deep, Dark Space
With Silver-Wings and Beams, I Chase
The Unknown and Known Questions Raised
Will Be Answered, When The Maker Says …

My Pilgrimage … To Touch Heaven’s Face
That Beauteous, Elusive, Mysterious Trace
Borne At The Blessed-Beginning’s Base
My Pilgrimage … Takes Me There To Pray …

My Pilgrimage … Takes Me There To Pay –
My Vows, My Voice, In Vesper-Vase
As This Moon, Is In Harvest – Phase
And Beams Brighter Now … Tho’ Slanted-Gaze

… The Moon … Glowing Ochre-Gold Or Silver
The Moon … Is Making Pilgrimage, Remember
The Moon … Is Trying To Help Deliver
Lost-Souls, Who Can Not Find … Moon River …

… Moon’s Pilgrimage … Keeps Steady Pace
Even Climbing Thru Dense, Cloudy-Lace
Moon’s Pilgrimage … Is Like A Dance, That Sways
Moon’s Pilgrimage … Into The Night’s Embrace … …

Spring's wisp

Softly,
Spring’s wisp
strolls tenderly

Sullen,
slowly moving,
singing songs of:

Spring’s bright,
Spring’s warmth…
Spring’s buds stringing along mine
sight

Sadly,
Spring’s snow
Slowly prods
Spring’s wisp

Surreptitiously,
Spring’s wisp aches for;
Spring’s strip

More than Music

A Kaleidoscope of colors divinely dances with your notes whirling in enchanting surreal song. Sparkling jewels in free flight spiral in sync with universal consciousness conceived in the cosmos, resonating and vibrating in soothing sounds. A mesmerizing melody of Heaven’s harmony. © Connie Marcum Wong Note: My husband is seriously ill with an aneurism in his heart that is affecting his lungs so please understand if I don't get to reply as much as I would like. I would be grateful for any prayers for his health. Thank you very much, Connie

Willows Alliteration

The wicked witch wandered west
where weeping willows whisper wearily
in the winsome wind
wishing wistfully and waiting
while wondering why
wild wisteria wither
or whether the weather will wane
and who would wave the willowy wand

A mariners alms and a sirens song

A mariners alms and a sirens song

A siren sings of solace in solitude
Sighing, a sailor steadies the sail
Certain resolve tested in a song
Swayed by a sense of homesickness
Tears of loss stream, alms paid
Seagulls soar as a fish jumps
Simplicity rests in the waves of the sea
A sweet disposition whispers balms
Ancient mariners passed this way
Always wistful of the sirens serenity song

THE BOTTOM OF THE BEER BOTTLE

I sold my soul to the bottom of the beer bottle. So what if I want to wallow around
with this low self mentality . A sip here a sip there, why not sip everywhere ...you
see?
You see, you really don't care when you have the mentality to wallow in the hallow
of a bottle.
I sold my soul to the bottom of the beer bottle;burning out the aching pain that
causes me to be insane with so much shame.

Boy,the bottom of the beer bottle isn't where I really want to be?You see the
bottom of the beer bottle did not bother me; but now ,it's really affecting me.

Ican't eat sometimes I can't even sleep, because the bottom of the beer bottle is
calling me.It's really beating my body. How can I ever benefit when the bottom of
the beer bottle is calling me?How could this ever happen to me?

When I used to win and grin, beating the bottle;what I once to beat is now beating
me and my body. The bottom of the beer bottle is calling me.

Idrink it waking up and drink it lying down. The bottom of the beer bottle has a tight
hold on me.The bottom of the beer bottle is calling me.

Enchanted Song

Nightingales nocturnes nurture
Everyone’s erroneous existence equipping earth’s enchantment
Harboring habitual happiness hearts
Projecting plentiful peace plus positivity
Mystifying mankind materializing maternal masses…

Girl Girl Girl

Whether we wander wistful
whether we wander wise
we waltz wedding’s waltz; whenever
whatever weather
we’ll wriggle with wishful wives

Wind wispy willow
willy-nilly we’ll whirl
we’ll widdle we’ll weave; whenever
whatever weather
we'll waltz with wedding's wench

Well worthy we writers
who with words wrench

Song for a Lady

I see you there, I see you clear
What have I to love but you my darling dear?

Your empty mask, your hard set eyes, your raven cloak so full of lies.
Your barest whisper a gale wind's force, I hear you coming astride the reaper's moonwhite horse.
Your sharpened blade upon my skin, your mask is blank but i feel your grin.

I hold the power of all the world yet it crumbles before what you've unfurled.
A tapestry of wit and spite, glittering with all of your mesmeric might.

The granite stones set within my hardest bones shatter as you move before my gaze, binding me for all my living days.

The endless waters of
my eternity dry to dust even as I fear that you will leave me with your mocking waves, mad with lust.

The air within my lungs turns to blackest smoke as I hear you laugh and my frail form chokes an' my cheeks remember your unkind strokes.

The fires in the secret chamber of my heart are quenched before our fated battle can even start, your every rebuke still fresh and smart.

The strength of my spirit is naught but feed unto the crows as the truth of my denied humanity finally shows.

Know me for I know you well, as I have labored under your yoke and dredged you up from burning hell.

I hate you and love you oh so well, you crush me and raise me to heaven's tolling bells.

I know your name my darling dear, I know it well tis writ upon the blade that ever my heart hath speared.

Your name my lady, is Fear.

Running in Circles

Another twist and turn
Another life unlearned
What makes us change
Why do we turn around

We’re just here with no agenda
Is there a place for this
I’m just looking for the reason
But the ride that you take
Doesn’t always make the trip
Some things we can’t always count on

You put your trust is some
You don’t believe in most
If you knew what would come
Then you would be more frightened

I’ve been here before
I guess I’ll be here again
Although it’s hard
It’s better than the alternate

I know what to expect
I don’t want to deal
That’s not the choice that all of us get
We become lovers then become others
That’s the cycle of making our bed

We’re running in circles
To find an answer
We’re looking for something
Without the directions

We’re running in circles
Without a compass
The search will lead you
To yourself
