christmas

In anyone’s discussion
You might hear about a mission
That came to pass because of Gods decision
And through Gods permission
One comes to the realization
That Jesus is the reason
For this spectacular season
       B:
So let us all not waste the opportunity
To serve and celebrate in unity
And fulfill our destiny
We can be like the celebrity
Known in every society
Aspiring to be Gods major priority
Like Jesus the reason for this season

Why

Why?! Sometimes I ask why. I mean why?
Does the good die young, I mean why?
Does the world make it so hard for single mothers to feed their kids but have enough
money for inmates, I mean why?
Do we constanlty see history repeat itself when we have already learned it, I mean why?
Do we fear and cant trust the police, I mean why?
Do we attack and hurt the people that love us but love the people that attack and hurt us, I mean why?
Do we have a generation that believes love is unsearchable. Where hate is leaned on more. Where happienes is rare.
And where lust is a no brainer, I mean why?
Do kids know every song lyric, but doesnt know a bible scripture besides the one tatted on their arms, I mean why?
Do I have people in my life that are their for no reason, I mean why?
Do I have a pinch of believers but a handful of doubters, I mean why?
Did I have so much pain growing up, I mean why?
Do now I have enemies that use to be my friends, I mean why?!
Do things never go my way in my life, I mean why?

But Gods plans are unsearchable. So he only knows, Why.

ICON LOVERS

                                                 ICON LOVERS

                                                   Icon lovers -
                                          strung from peeling pillars
                                          cast cold as corner cobwebs
                                          on strands of polished pews.
                                          Churchyards cut quiet
                                          gates rust bible black
                                          billboards bounce doubts
                                          at decks of dancing buses.

                      'HAVE GOOD FAITH YOU MAY NEED GOD TOMORROW'

                                          Printed bold on rippled red
                                          behind dark's drizzled glass
                                          never read to be remembered
                                          the bestseller serves so many.
                                          But silver plated sermons
                                          pour truth as plaster ash
                                          on painted bones of Christ
                                          psalms sung in Sunday best.
                                          For all the stonewall echoes
                                          never moved one moments fate
                                          to fill the poorest mouths
                                          of them forever praying!.

Humility Perfected

The Great “I AM” that could not stand
Yet held the fate of man in hand.
Jehovah Jireh laid to rest
Upon the milk of Mary’s breast.
The Prince of Peace of priests despised
Would heal the lame and open eyes.
Infant, holy radiant infant
When God became a babe.
Through Christ, a way to God had come
And hope’s foundation laid.
Who scarce can ascertain the depth
And wonder of His birth.
Humility perfected,
When Jehovah came to earth.

Armageddon

Flames roared through the nights sky.
A glimpse of blue still protruded through the flames.
The heat warmed the mortals below.
They believed that this was a great night.
The sky emulated a beautiful red color.
The color was extraordinary with remnants of blue.
They believed that they were all safe.
They were not nearly as safe.
They were witnessing Armageddon.
The war between good and evil.
For no one is safe until judgment day.
That is the day when the sky will forever remain blue.
The birds will sing a tune.
The flowers will bloom.
That will be the day.
The day when we will all be ok.

The cry of The Cross

The land was cloaked in a black dress,
The crowd was watching my Christ die,
When the blinding darkness, the deafening stillness
Was shattered by an overwhelming cry;

Resonating, reaching up to heaven across-
A cry in anguishful agony,
My Saviour crying on the cruel cross-
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

A cry so terribly travailing,
Rose from the Man on Calvary,
As it did that day, it's still echoing,
His pain for us on the cursed tree;

A cry so awful, alarming and sore,
Was never heard throughout history,
'Twas a loneliness never felt before,
A never to be understood mystery;

A cry so drastic, disturbing and glum,
Reflected His melancholic dismay-
So great, none can ever fathom,
His Father in Heaven had looked away.
             ____________

The cry in the cradle was forgotten,
When the cry of the cross I heard,
A cry that showed He was smitten,
First by God, then man, lingered;

That crushing cry broke my heart,
As I visualised Him God-forsaken,
Only to give me a joyous start,
True eternal life- of which I've partaken.

That cry has made me happy today,
The cry of my Saviour on the cross,
I can shout and sing, I can praise and pray,
I can confidently cry that He's my boss.
           ____________

What did you, since hearing that cry?
A cry cried to make you smile;
Did you cry along? or plain deny
That that cry could make your life worthwhile?

A mute spectator, did you stand beholding?
Or wagging your heads, you passed Him by?
Or did you hark, halt and with your hands folding,
Realise His Sonship and glorify?

Did you consider what cost Christ paid?
Can you imagine His speechless suffering?
Sinless, for us, He was sin made,
Gave Himself as a voluntary offering.
            ____________

When the Son of God cried aloud,
His Father would not hear;
'Twas so, we could become His proud
Sons and daughters dear;

The cast-off cry was not the end though,
All was yet not finished nor done,
For my Jesus cried again, you know,
From God's wrath, to save everyone;

The hours of darkness had passed away,
The Son addressed His Father above,
He was reconciled the very same day,
And so were we, just accept it now;

Willingly, for us, He was sacrificed,
That we could be bought by His blood;
For all our sins, His death sufficed,
For us, He rose again from the dead;

With eyes of faith, look at that Love,
Who bled to death for you and me,
With faith-filled ears, listen to how
He cried and died, to set us free.
