Woodstock

~Woody Wood From the Hood~

Deep, inside yourself, you walk a sour way of life,
Carving my name, on every tree with a hunting knife
You log in, then log out
A Birdman So Fickle, he Stinks of doubt!

Blind today, bald tomorrow,
Big Bird, will be your only friend
I can't seem to forget the day, you shed your final skin
Revealing a darker snake, than the one in my garden
Leaving the word betrayal, up to the imagination

Trust not the fool, who thinks his halo is heaven sent
Using a fake ballpoint pen dietary supplement
Thinning out his wings, and losing the symbolic meaning

Aging in a way, that spreads crows feet from top to bottom
Sapsucker revolving yellow as if it was always autumn
Pecking Hard Wood, MR Pecker of all woodpeckers
Forgetting who's the real Home-wrecker

Your dragging pants are no bother, Mr Woodpecker!
I've gotten used to the tree talking and your creative vision
Let's just say, "Gangster to Gangster, I gave you a mission."
Keep rapping and tapping the same old street sign,
Woodstock, on demand, crap out the peanut punch
Whatever suits you for breakfast and lunch
Don't forget dinner's also about me

Go ahead!
Peck away with deception, reveal your sullen evil feathers
A disease urine Birdman, doing it snoopy style
A flightless, lightless liar, nothing about him's worthwhile
Keep manipulating the weak, whatever turns you on
I'm not ready to shoot you down with my shotgun

ANIMAL ALLITERATION

Alphabetical animals all around:
Angry army ants,
Busy buzzing bees,
Carousing calico cats,
Dancing dolphin duo,
Eerie electric eels
Fancy feathered flamingos,
Graceful grey geese,
Harmless hairy hamsters,
Interesting itchy insects,
Jolly Japanese jellyfish,
Karate kicking kangaroos,
Lonely little lizards,
Many mischievous monkeys,
Numerous nearsighted newts,
Old ornery otters,
Pretty pink pelicans.
Quick quacking quail,
Rockin’ Red Robins,
Slimy sea slugs,
Terrifying Tibetan tigers,
Upstanding undulating umbrellabirds,
Vicious vandalizing vultures,
Warbling white whipperwills,
Exotic examining extraterrestrials,
Yellow yoked yaks,
Zonked zoo zebras.

My Alligator Artie

My pet alligator sits under my feet.
He waits for food to fall while I simply eat.
He likes to chase the ball and bite with his sharp teeth.
His claws are super pointy, and he walks upon a leash.
He’s scaly without baths,
Smelly when not clean.
He’s very good at “sit,”
And trained to not be mean.
He likes the water much, except for when it rains.
And when we’re gone,
All day long,
We keep him in a crate.
My pet alligator is the best pet on this Earth,
I’d never trade him ever, for everything he’s worth.

Purrfection

Oh fantastic furry feline
So silent and still in slumber
White whiskers awaiting to wake
From dreams of docile dormice.

Mysterious and mesmerising moggy
Boundless beauty befalls you
Perfect plush paws and cutting claws
Bright beautiful eyes bestowed.

Oh valiant velvet cloaked vagabond
A spirit so wild and wilful
My love lies languishing in your heart
Come closer to comfort my soul.

A PRAYER FOR EVERY LIVING SOUL

Burning down all around EVERY LIVING SOUL.
UP IN SMOKE, You choked? That MIRROR YOU KNOW
YOU BROKE? The flames you stoked. UP IN SMOKE.
Not a living soul has an ABODE to call their own. No
HUT NOR HOME. Be stronger than strong sang the playing
Song. Now WHO STIRRED THE VERB? EVERY LIVING
SOUL HEARD THE WORD. "WELL, on the brink of the brim
Of a empty bottle of rum" grunted the sober bum.

HOMELESSNESS ABOUNDS. BURNING DOWN ALL AROUND.
THE FIRES RAGED WITH MORE BLAZE. Then hear the
FURIOUS FLAMES FLICKER AND FIGHT FOR FUEL.
EVERY LIVING SOUL CRIED WITNESSING THEIR FUTURE
DIE.
Up in smoke, cursed the soaring bird. Quenching, down CAME
The crushing DELUGE FROM HOSES, SEEMING to be every
Where in mediocre DOSES.
"THE END OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT " said my fine feathered
Friend first to fly.
The end of life as we know it, repeated I, and I AM ON HIGH.
THAT'S THE WORD. AMEN, AMEN AND AGAIN AMEN.

Aaron the Alligator

Alexandra and Addison
Are answering Amanda's Alligator, Aaron.

Aaron is abashed
when Alexandra angrily
abandons all answering.

Alexandra and Addison
are not androids but Alexandra
should've just said so instead of
getting angry at Aaron the Alligator.

LOW TIDE

At the fringe of low tide
the surf licks and laps
to re-shape the sand
as ripples and ribs.

On the wet of the flat
where it's clean and pristine
there are spirals of mud
from lugworms unseen.

Caught in brine pools
and snagged on the rock
are emerald remains
of bladderwrack.

In the still of each pond
are shells split into shards
and rocks with barnacles
that are welded like studs.

Sea creatures marooned
till return of the tide
and little lost crabs
that know they must hide.

In the late of the day
the return of the sea
those imprisoned crabs
will now be set free.

FUNNY FARM FRIENDS

One obnoxious orangutan ordered oysters
Staff sympathetically said such supplies sold
Constantly complaining confronting chasing customers
Barred because before being boisterously bold

Two timid tigers tragically trembled
While watching woeful weasels wrestle
Standing straight shaking subconsiously scared
Displaying discomfort dizzy dribbling dreadful

Three talented turkeys taught tricks
Creating courageous crazy circus clowns
Amazingly always attempting additional acts
Frolicking foolishly finally forgetting frowns

Four fabulous flamingos fixed fences
Gigantic glamorous gardens generously grew
Proud pedestrians passing praised perfection
Beautiful bouquets blissfully blended blue

Five fussy frogs found french fries
Every enchanting experience eagerly entertained
Loudly laughing licking lemon lollipops
Sharing sarcastic smirks showing shame

Lazy Lion

The lazy lion lingered by the lake
licking his luscious lips
listening lightly as he laid
like a lump by the log
longing to lunch on a lovely lamb
if it would only land in his lap.

Beings, not known to outsiders,,, Average life

*smiling slightly sad Colibri said: 'are you happy today, my dear? ' 'average… i am… just average'
answered her combustive Lizard the wizard from white blizzard airily framed by invisible flames.
'i thought u like life in extreme!' told obviously surprised Squirrel, flocculent parallel world beauty
in sorrel colored winter apparel. 'indeed, i needed that before!! i have been on the sunny ridge
and then in cold wet dark ditch. i have been crossing sky freely, other times – just like partridge
injured by a merciless cartridge i tasted my own blood willingly: because pain seemed pleasure.
burned enough but not to pitch. abridged but still not a smidge. average… i am just… average!
peaceful like a tortoise who is not making unnecessary noise. happy with calm daily routines
proceeding speed of rising Sun and determination of a Sprout. i will not shout i won’t use gun:
all is well– simply as it is… now!' Queen colibri, Wizard of lizards & tender Goddess of squirrels:
beings, not known to outsiders they were sharing same cup full of abundant life mysteries with
each other at present moment– with eye to eye circumspection, mind to mind interconnections,
direct heart to heart reflections resounding in supportive chords. we will not know how much we
changed each other, how much we will… when time will tell us we’ll walk separated path again*
Lizard, Colibri and Squirrel… all with unique ails but common fairy tails
