All the things we go through, all the pain we feel, and all the wars we fight we keep marching on!
For all the scars we have, for all the tears we shed we keep marching on!
For all the pain we hide, for all the times we hide all our emotions we keep marching forward!
For all the times we feel so alone and know one to belong to we keep moving on!
We have all these fear all these nightmares that come true but know matter what we keep going on!
Things we don’t expect, things we didn’t think could happen might just come true but we just have to keep moving on!
Know matter what happens in the future and what happened in the past just have to keep moving on with life!

To my Lil Sister
Lil sister your 19 now and I just wanted to put make up words on paper for you/A couple things for you to remember/ A couple things I hope you'll do/ in life there are two significant dresses you'll wear, the one you'll wear to your wedding and when the you'll wear to your funeral/ so make each dress you wear in between purposeful/ God made you the person you are so know that you are inexorably beautiful/ Flawless to no end/ Fall victim to no sin/ you are your mothers daughter it is in your dna to dress as a purposeful woman/ Lil Sister/ Their are going to times when your heart feels like life is cutting into it with the precise precision of a surgeon/struggle bring the depression so make sure that your faith is certain/ Live every day as if you were Jesus/ Live every day like your the star of the best filming feature/ Lil Sister/ there is going to be a war and nothing I say can prepare you for/ but just know that every prayer that our mother and father does for you is a knock on the Gods door/ Keep your faith and know that your not 19 years young your 19 years powerful.

I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.
Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.

enjoys flirting gallantly,
hoisting; inspiring; jousting;
knowing laughter makes nice orchestrations
particularly quenching raw spirits
teaching unabashed vanity
While Xylophones yammer zanily.

All was going well until she asked for a drink
Then my stomach started to sink
She ask “do you have coffee?”
“no it’s OCD”
Stood up, turned 80 degrees
Counted my steps, ones and threes
Get the scales and measure the grains
In nerves, must not make any stains
Add the milk, not too much
Now the sugar, just a light touch
Click the kettle, watch my watch
If she was Irish, I could always add scotch
Click! Pour the water
63 mm size always matters
A quick stir, a wee bit slower
Too high make it lower
Turn clockwise, go for the door
Marching like in the marine corps
There she is lying in a heap
I was hours, she’s fast asleep

My beads tell a story, shedding light on
mother Africa's Herstory.
African story told by African inventory.
Without these beads I feel bare like a
breeze leaves the dandelions.
The African story told by African
The colorful beads my ancestors wore...
Glistening beads on silky
chocolate skin. These beds we wear,
speak numerous things.
These beads tell a story of pride and self

Will I turn back? No, why?
Cuz this is my path, in life.
Will i stop, and wait for death?
Or will I live life, Breath by breath?
I choose to live day to day, with this life,
Cuz death can take us at any time.
Why not make the best of what we have now?
I REFUSE to keep my head hanging down.
I will try to live life to the best of my ability,
With peace, love, and tranquility.
i choose to be and think positively,
If I dont, I'll be self demolishing.
I chose the path I walk, Whether it be with someone or alone,
I'm pleased with myself and maybe a place to call home...
I will mature even wiser than before
Don't be jealous because YOUR decisions were poor.
Happier more than I ever was, now uncovered,
A life out there, WORTH being discovered?!?!?!?!?
Will I turn back? No, Why?
Cuz this is my path, in LIFE.

There is no other like my dear mother.
She was there when I laughed or cried. And she was there when my
infant son had died.
She was there if I was happy or sad. And still loved me whether I
was good or bad.
Now that she's gone, she has left her middle name for me to carry
To me, it's just a simple reminder, that there is no other like my dear

My valentine is unique this time,
No flowers no dates,
My valentine is unique this time,
My valentines is real this time.
I wont let flowers speak for me this time,
I wont let red color to speak for me,
I won't set a date hilton to tell you this,
I won't because there's a better way,
A better way to say it to you,
A better way to let you know how much I love you,
A better way to express my feelings for you,
So ill just look you in the eye,
Kiss you on your cheek,
Look straight into your eyes,
And tell you, "I love You!"
And that's my valentine.

A, b, c, d is where, I stop
For, "Delilah", a mistress in the ,"(Bible)"
A Hebrew word meaning , "(delicate)"
A seductive name
A treacherous woman
Some find her, delightful
Some look at her, dirty
Some seem to say
I find her to be, demanding
She, can even be pleasing
Magnificent, to have around
Dreamy, just like a mermaid
Very temptress, her scent so seductive
As, she inquires so much
Delilah, a name so unclean
In so many eyes
All the way into
So, delightful, delicious and dreamy
To have around
After so many

My disability is not my weakness
My mind tells me that I am capable
My heart agrees to the sayings of my mind

Here I sit vigorously trying to escape from behind these crimson bars of doubt and shame
With yet another thought and looking for someone else to blame
Tears fall from my weeping eyes dropping to the dirty musky floor like acid rain
Hello? Can you hear me why don’t you answer and how can you not see my pain
The echoes of my call flow out me like sharpened daggers opening up the wounds I closed off and left untreated
The vibration of my trembles moves in synch with my beating heart dropping me to my knees suddenly im feeling defeated
The silence suddenly has become louder, the echoes of its present throbbing in my head
Who is that? That familiar gentle voice inside of me? All this Confusion of what is being said
My hands grasping tightly to the bars that have imprisoned me, the essence of all I am trapped and deeply hidden alone in the darkness of the night
Through bleeding eyes of wounded tears I try see through the blur and distortions but nothing, not even the sign of hope or possible freedom is in sight
Nobody is hearing my cry nobody seems to care but wait hold on doesn’t seem like anyone is there, is this a delusion just my own creation of a prison created by unfounded fear
I know I removed the shackles from the chains that bound me they weighed me and measured me I know they gone because I see them near
But yet the staggering pain has dug itself deep into the very wounds that have reappeared and opening up deeper and more prevalent forcing me to accept whats real
To break free means to pull apart the parts of me I tried to hide, the parts that became versions of stories that changed to fit in to something good to feel
To see the light I have to become the light, Embrace the pain and break the chains that I and I alone created as a shield of my own protection
To break free is to accept, to forgive and let go of all that was and all I believed it to be and to do so in a humble confession
Thought is our own worst enemy, it creates the actions that become the parts of us we no longer recognise, it reshapes us into beings of denial and shame
We walk around with wounds we think are deeply hidden yet when we come out we see just how much we had them exposed we gave them a name
That name became doubt, lack of self worth, courage and even stripped us of the freedom we meant to feel to fully complete our journey of self discovery in order to be fully freed
I am enough, the wounds do not shape me, the choices do not define me, I will rise to the beacon of my brightest light, I will be free I will succeed yes this is MY CREED

I'M AS YOUNG AS I FEEL
I'M NOT GETTING OLD. I'M AS YOUNG AS CAN BE.
THERE'S NOTHING AT ALL THE MATER WIT ME.
MY HAIR IS NOT GRAY. THERE'S A SILVERY SHINE.
MY BACK IS NOT BENT I'VE A FANCY SHAPED SPINE.
WHEN I BREATHE, I DO NOT HAVE A WHEEZE.
I HAVE FUNNY SHAPED LEGS, BUT NOT BANDY KNEES.
MY TEETH ARE NOT GONE BECAUSE THE WERE OLD.
I EAT TOO MANY SWEETS, OR SO I'VE BEEN TOLD.
THESE HEARING AIDS, NOT FOR DEAFNESS, I'M SURE.
THEY SAY THAT PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
I'M NOT GETTING SLOWER. I JUST TAKE MY TIME,
THE COLD DOESN'T GET ME. I ALWAYS FEEL FINE.
I DON'T HUFF AND PUFF MY WAY BACK FROM THE SHOP.
I DON'T GET TIRED AND DON'T HAVE TO STOP
YES, MY HAIR IS A LITTLE BIT LIGHT.
IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE SHAMPOO I WAS USING LAST NIGHT.
MY PULSE IS NOT DIM, IT'S JUST HARD TO FIND.
MY BONES ARE NOT BRITTLE, THERE ONE OF A KIND.
THESE ARE NOT WRINKLES, JUST MATURE SKIN.
I AM VERY WELL PROUD OF THE SHAPE I AM IN.
I'M AS FIT AS A FIDDLE, A SPRING CHICKEN STILL.
I AM NOWHERE NEAR OR OVER THE HILL.
THE GOLDEN AGE IS A LONG WAY AWAY.
UNTIL I AM READY, THATS WHERE IT CAN STAY.

In midnight skies the cries of love drift off to sleep in endless love.
For he who heard them.
Sent them hope, that God created a world for them.
For us to see and bare good times.
For no more hurt and devishlish crimes.
For the earth which once was good.
Is soured and torn.
There are no morals or dreams no more.
Or hope of good things when suffering soars.
For they are crushed by his vast sword.
For he who has the greater sin.
He has carried and been burdened with.
He has been forgotten.
In times like these.
Because people hearts bleed with disease.
For they have burdened him with more sin.
They have forgotten the pain he is in.
For he so carried his cross with pride.
A younge man who was destined to die.
No matter what the world does think.
This man did live before we did.
We have lost our way in darkened times.
Like lost sheep we have roamed, away from him.
If youd only listen and help to carry his cross.
Take the blame for things done past.
Change our ways for hope to last.
We wont do that out of pride.
When he is denied.
I feel for him.
I pick his cross up and help him off the ground.
For he is my brother.
Who I have found.
He has carried that cross.
No man deserved his life in such a lose.
Tormented and torturded to no extent.
He didnt look like a mere man in the end.
He coutinued to stand even after he fell.
Showing me the strength of Heaven and hell.
For a man so strong, so bold and kind.
Showed me what we can do as man kind.
He gave his life for everyone who reads this.
For those who can not see.
Do not be blind
Find this man, for he needs you.
He gave his life to save you.
With your help, you raise his cross.
You heal that burden of love.
That has been lost.
Ease his pain and find your way.
For Heaven is a start and hell is a step away.

As we stalk the forest,
in search of food,
are means of hunting,
can be very crude,
we work together,
as a team,
sometimes we even,
cross a stream,
on the trail,
of a mighty mule deer,
is our worst fear,
for once we had,
a hefty bounty,
in every north western county,
are packs we once,
so strong and tough,
but our survival rate,
is getting rough.

You're too much for me
Your smile, attitude
It's too beautiful
My sweet child
I am so glad
you are better than me
I miss you when you are away
being better than me
or your father
I know you are a visionary
you are a professor
you will somehow
make it sing

A Man will admit to his wrongful doings & not commit to lifestyle of a fool,
A Man takes pride in strength & uses his mind to be his exercise tool,
He is not the person to be rude to define his mite,
A Man is not a burden but the reason for life,
He lives to be for certain,
He will make sure his responsibilities are kept,
His habits are; victory, thought provoking, self sufficient,
Even though Men struggle... A Man will guarantee a will "to make it,"
In fact A Man will make sure his name is mention with exceptional etiquitte,
So when you see A Man with his family his manhood will be evident,
When you look into his face you will see the greatness in his eyes,
A Mans creation is heaven sent,
And not just some guy,
His expression will show a hidden direction,
A smile that displays a beautiful struggle but don't just look at him & stare,
Wonder what it takes to be A Man in a world surrounded by beautiful females & how beneficial it is to have Men here.

GRANDMA STOOD OVER THE STOVE
BOILING WATER AND CUTTING UP Vegetables
AND MEAT FOR Sundays DINNER
I CALLED OUT TO HER
I WALKED OUT INTO THE KITCHEN
AND SHE WAS STANDING THERE WITH TEARS IN HER EYES
I SAID GRANDMA WHAT’S WRONG
SHE SAID NOTHING CHILD
NOW GO BACK TO THE TABLE AND HAVE A SEAT
I ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH GRANDMA I WOULD SEE
BUT SOMETIMES SHE DIDN’T WANT TO COME OUTSIDE AND PLAY
HER WEIGHT WAS GOING UP AND DOWN AND I ALWAYS ASKED HER WHY
SHE WOULD SAY OH CHIL’ NOTHING YOU’LL
LEARN ABOUT IT ONCE YOU GET OLDER
SHE ‘LL JUST SAY GRANDMA NOT FEELING TO GOOD
NOW CAN YOU COME AND BRAID MY HAIR FOR ME
GRANDMA HAD CANCER AND NOW I SEE WHY GRANDMA COULDN’T COME
OUT AND PLAY
I stand here in my kitchen over my crock pot with tears in my eyes
I WENT THROUGHT WHAT GRANDMA WENT
THROUGH I WISH THAT SHE WAS STILL HEre TODAY
I understood her from my own experience
Long after she’s gone
She’s still my hero

When the lights go out
An the curtains close
Everyone goes home what do you do
Do you stay behind to study your lines
And make a fool
Out of the people that never believed in you
Do you go home to talk on the phone
Or play games to entertain
Yourself for the time being
Doing activities that are useless
Should you train for your upcoming games
So you can do your best
To play in the big league Because that's what you've dreamed
Since you were a little kid
Or decide to follow in the footsteps of your family members
That never achieved anything
To help but in the family history
But through everything you've been through
Good or bad
Either way you learn from your mistakes
Once you know good from bad
You should always think before you act
