Sea of Dreams

She drifted on black starlit glass
beneath the full moon bright
captivated by the beauty of
the tranquil, lovely light
floating on the gentle waves
the stars kissed her goodnight
and rocked into her deepest dreams
she floated out of sight

Time's Flight

Another year turns over, people look to see
just what the coming year will mean for you and me.
Tomorrow's worries aren't here, and yesterday's are passed.
Daylight's your new blessing, but it's really burning fast.

The seasons change so quickly, now that we're growing old.
"Seize the day my son", seems I was always told.
You cannot live life over, and you cannot take it back,
so make a first impression, be a leader of the pack.

We hurry every day, never noticing the minutes
flying by so quickly, time has no sense of limits.
Just talking all the while, we have such tales to tell.
If only every now and then we grab a rose to smell.

Take time for those you love, and those who love you, too.
For tomorrow some of them might not be here for you.
Teach your children honesty and show them some good deeds.
Because love will never flourish if we never plant the seeds.

A New Year

A New Year

Seems like just yesterday
We welcomed in last year
The days and months that followed
With others I did share.

Small steps and better days
I found throughout that time
Found what really mattered
When all was not sublime.

We took ‘one day at a time.’
With effort made a go
And yet time did go quickly
If you really want to know.

So here it is
Start of a new year
With new days
And challenges to bear.

Thankful for my health
And for my state of being
Grateful for my friends
Look forward to just seeing.

It seems as each year passes
We note things we missed before
Life has twists, turns and endings
Of that, I’m really sure.

So pop the cork!
Drink to the New Year!
Good things I wish
For all that you hold dear.

Hello January

Hello there January
It has been quite a long time,
Year? Extraordinary!
For the most part I am fine

What a crazy past two months!
Hopped on this roller coaster
Filled with wild daredevil stunts;
Each hill I just go faster

The next time that I see you
So much will be different;
I just know I'll have good news
The future looks so brilliant!

January to Mortuary

The picnic at december end
The mob in the party
Restively chanting to God
For their healthy mortal
existence

Tick tuck tick the tickling clock
The expected desire reached
Happy new year choruses
Roaring among the mob to the
air

Hisses from the mouths of
lovers
Warmth in the cold
From hugs
Clitterings in the air from
knockout

Boom bang from a missileous
knockout
Overwhelmed the varieties
The melancholic tune changes
From the fire ablazing

A Glimpse of Heaven

This poem is a description of a glimpse of what I saw in Heaven. Heaven is a reality.

There’s a glorious place called heaven
A place so imperial, a haven
A sight that is indescribable
A home that is incomparable

An elegance of design
A beauty, forever shine
The crowning of architecture
The dumb foundness of structure

Is the work of the Mastercraftman
Jesus Christ, the saviour of man
He designed it and built it
As the home of just spirit

The roof so exquisitely glazed
A kind to admire and be dazed
A glittering floor of jasper stone
A work that awestruck to the bone

A mansion walls of sapphire
A moment of an eye catching fire
The stairway sparkled like clear glass
An intricate pattern of class

As I gaze in amazement before me
I was enveloped in joy, peace and glee
The fragrance in the room ravished my heart
Overwhelmed with awe, I never wanted to depart
