I feel God's breath in nature

Irish sonnet

I feel Gods breath in nature

The birds are singing. Beautiful it be
The trees are swaying on the morning breeze
Oh how it fills me with such mystery
Oh my, how nature fills me with such ease
I love the flowers; love the birds, and trees
I feel Gods breath in everything that grows
Something it glows within the heart of me
A force of love so deep within me flows
When I’m with nature something in me knows
That God is good, how can this not be true
When birds sing out, I always feel his glow
The perfume of the flowers brings it too
Oh, nature, how she thrills me through, and through
Seems, God is there in everything I do

Looking at a buterfly

Looking At A Butterfly

I was looking at a butterfly
And I saw God instead.
It stretched it’s lovely brindle wings
And stopped the mind quite dead.
For mirrored in its sanctity
There was a sacred power
That penetrated all of me
Till I became a flower.

I looked into the depth of it
That white hibiscus flower.
As I stood there for a moment
And I stood there for an hour.
And God was looking back at me
As its stamen stood right out
And the power filled me to the brim
And took away all doubt.

I heard a Wagtail whistling there
In a thick and luscious tree.
As day just melted into song
I heard eternity.
The song then melted in my heart
And the Wagtail disappeared
And everything that was, was me
And the light destroyed my fears.

I am the spirit of satin stardust and the antiquities of golden memories alive I call to you from the rising warmth of the sun and greet you in the misty morning light I am the steady and rolling drum beat echoing from the jagged heights above I am the mysterious curves of the raging waters' and the freedom birds of love I rise above the white summer clouds in lilting songs of grace and roam with the western tail-winds to take you home again I am a Spirit of our gracious Lord God Almighty of love hope and faith I have come to tell................ _______________________________________________ Contest~ONE OF YOUR BEST

Divine Flowers

Divine Flowers

In a flower’s velvet petals
There dwells a divine scent and hue
Soon a tiny creature settles
That will help pollinate a few.

We are blossoms of our dear God
Born each in colors of our kin.
It matters not our birth of sod
Neither the colors of our skin.

Temple of Life

Nearby an ornate edifice meant for the worship of God I kneel in the clearing of a verdant woods where sun’s light streams down - spirit-touched, as nature’s choir chants and wind whispers prayers Written 5/6/14 by Andrea Dietrich for nette onclaud's Sijo in a Temple Poetry Contest

we our souls will spend our time repenting

we our souls will spend our time repenting
but the body of truth always comes to light
in drawing an end to come with true believers
so they can see the many faces of the devil

greed in this world money takes over always
as they worship first with the devil’s tools
invading our space all for the sake of black
liquid gold tainted hearts in its color so pure

shame on this world absolutely for mankind
has not learned at all given profound problems
aplenty and stands the testimony of our times
while war does not resolve anything—death’s end

only when family lives are directly affected
they have the fighting right to protect and live
wherever they choose but we are all controlled
and always told what to do openly or furtively

in a system rolling unto the end of mankind
shut eyes in the face of truth and honesty
the whole setup is a joke makes one laugh
countries run amok and history repeats itself

doing the devil’s work at command or by one’s will
while throwing our money around with profligate zeal
like they are usually royalty by some birthright and
this says so much for the world we live in today

looking at their greed it’s oh so clear for all to see that
with food dished out on silver cutlery and others starving
our priorities have run afoul of charity and common sense
running everything into the ground to support their lies

present catching the past and past is the future’s prologue
Earth soon develops a chasmic breach at depths reaching a
heart's song unheard powers unchanging with a most awful
and pronounced Quest of more which destroys the very Soul

in a such a pitiful world so desolate and blind
are pure souls who wish with love to shine bright
one chance will come with a golden sun shining
but will human kind seize the golden glory at hand

two paths lie in tomorrow’s dawning shadow dark—
the path to the end or to the new beginning for mankind
we live ever together striving for a peaceful endeavor
we live at war forever on the very fringes of Hell itself

the way to Armageddon lies open and wants to greet us
the way to the golden life of peaceful bliss is still possible
but at tomorrow's dawn do we change our path or will we
sing the song of stupidity and be dark from tomorrow on

We must have peace . . . In Our Time or Perish Forever!

This Universe

In the middle of the universe I stand
All alone on a quiet, desert night
Looking up at brilliant, desert stars
Shining along the Milky Way.

And in this universe, where I stand
I see the moon illuminating the sky
Constellations in their patterns
Hidden planets in their spheres.

And as I stand in this great universe
Contemplating the wonders of the night
I know that just as surely as I live
In my heart of hearts, I am not alone.

For I am seen by the One who created
This universe, in which I stand
Who made the heavens and the earth
He is the great I AM, who created me
To BE
In His great universe, where I stand.

Raise your head

Raise your head

Raise your head up to the sky
And praise the power above
Give her all you have, my friends
For she gives you such love
She gave you all you see before you
She gave you ears to hear
The silence of a brand new morn
The bird song sweet and clear

Raise your head, pray to the power
No bargaining with her
Thank her with sincerity
That she your heart does stir
With all the beauty that you see
All around you on this morn
Thank her for the wonder of
This morning just been born.

Raise you head, and close your eyes
And let her grace come to you
Do this every single day
It’s the best thing you can do
For you have everything you need
To fill your heart with joy
For all the love she gives to you
There’s naught can this destroy.

Voice Of God

To hear the voice of God,
you need only listen.
He chuckles from fast brooks,
gurgling over the rocks.

He hums with humming birds,
and sings with pods of whales.
And deep inside your thoughts,
He whispers from your heart.

Thundering in the clouds,
He chirps with the crickets.
And whistles with the winds
that sigh through the willows.

He laughs with white water,
splashing off canyon walls.
And talks to all of us,
you need only listen.

She speaks to me

She speaks to me.

She speaks to me
Every moment she is here
Oh, she is always with me
Her voice so very clear
She comes dancing out at me
From the early morning sun
And there she is, to speak again
When the day is almost done.

She speaks to me
As the birds fly high above
She’s there. She’s watching over me
When my heart is filled with love
She whispers to me softly
From the core of every rose
I hear her speak so tenderly
From every flower that grows.

She speaks to me
From the peaceful flowing river
I love it when she speaks to me
She is the blessed giver
The one who gives us all this beauty
She always speaks to me
Her voice, I feel it everywhere
No matter where I be.

Whispered Into The Air

I admire the tree in silence.
The way it clings to the rock
And works its way down into the river
Down into the earth.
I think about the knowledge of man.
All the things that men have told me
about the tree – about botany or biology.
They have said this
They have said that
Words whispered into the air and gone in time.
Knowledge is worthless in comparison to beauty
This tree is magnificent
And that is enough for me.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

God

God.

All that ever is be God
For God contains all things
The moons the stars, the galaxies
The summer, winter, spring
God is the highest mountain
And the oceans deep and vast
He's there in all that lives and dies
He's the first and he's the last.

I can always feel the breath of God
In everything I do
I'm walking God. I'm breathing God
He is me, and he is you
"But who am I? And who are you?"
When I don't know where I'm at
I only know from the core of me
That God is all of that.

I'll end this little poem of mine
And explain this thing to you
Well I'm not trying to say "I know"
Nay this is hardly true
A wise man said a Chinese sage
"He who knows, knows nil"
But I believe in the power of love
And I know I always will.

Your Kiss from Heaven

Imagine you are outside sweltering. You’re faint, and it’s a bad state you are in. What sweet relief a summer’s rain can bring - When droplets start to kiss you on the chin! Or maybe you’re a little bit too warm, and air conditioning is all you seek when Mother Nature comes and shows her charm and blows you kisses - wind across your cheek. And maybe it is winter, and you yearn for something lovely as the north wind blows. You turn around and suddenly you learn God heard your prayer as snow flakes touch your nose. The rain, the breezes and the snow are His. How natural your kiss from heaven is. By Andrea Dietrich For the Contest of Gail Angel Doyle

I write spiritual

I write Spiritual

I really love to write words spiritual
Of sweet nature, and the song of joy
Lay mystery at reader’s feet
Lots of rhythm I employ
I write of birds, and trees
Always write with ease
And lovely style
To make those
Who read
Smile
Love
And read
My sweet words
About the trees
The sweet mystery
All the lovely flowers
And all the magic power
That always mesmerises me
Makes my mind go to our holy God
Whose sacred path it really must be trod

The Legacy of Trees

To the divinity within all of us

The wind blows outside my window
Reeling mercilessly against the trees.

Its power deployed, their will to destroy
And I can hear them yell in rebellion.

Daring the wind to try with all its might
Had gone there before, they know the score.

They know the fury the wind can carry
Whatever is in store, they cannot ignore.

They stand out, proud, arms stretched out
Bonded are their souls, holding the same goal.

Their unity, a fortress that found no distress
They would face this trial as they did those prior.

It was their legacy born in tenacity
From the beginning, it was God given.

So that man would come to understand
The extent of his God given potential.

To walk his way through life's hills and valleys
Building character, until he is one in heart with the Creator.

My Heart is Amazed

My heart is amazed by His boundless compassion
My heart is in awe of the love of the Lord
The hand of His mercy endureth forever
What riches of kindness in heaven are stored!

My heart is amazed at the sight of creation
My heart is in awe of the works of the King
The fountains and river, the depth of the ocean,
The rock and the trees of His greatness shall sing!

My heart is amazed on the height of the mountain
My heart is in awe of the stars in the sky
Unmoving, unchanging, the Lord is eternal
Though years of the mortal so quickly fly by

My heart is amazed by the lamb and the lion
My heart is in awe of the birds in the air
Created for man by the hands of the Master
The heights and the depths of his dwelling to share

My heart is amazed by the King of the nations
My heart is in awe of His death on the tree
The Lamb that was Slain, by the word of the Father
Arose from the grave my Redeemer to be!

I AM

I am the wind thru the trees

The apple blossom on fragrant breeze

A solitary sunbeam on a cloudy day

The rhythm of life as the tall oaks sway

I am the stream teaming with life

And the orchard, sweet, when all is ripe

Before creation was spoken to be

I am that I am, and I am He

Be Still

Be Still.......

I will walk with God
In the beauty of the morning
While the dew still lies upon the ground
While the birds still sing their morning song
And while the evening sky still twinkles like neon lights
And the sun still rises with its golden glow bathing everything in glorious light
And in The evenings quiet where I live has entered its time of rest at calling dusk
He still holds me tight in His warmth under downy wings soft like clouds that puff and blow across a horizon that only God could grow to water and shelter a land dependant on His goodness-

Yes I still walk with God in great expectations- reliant on His promises of always being with me- And He- even amidst the horrors of war famine and disease and evil atrocities born from the darkness of evil- His promises are still new every morning that I wake- and He still bears me through the trials and carries my burdens and makes them light- He is still my Father- And He is still My Lord and- He still- Knows my name.

mother nature, mother earth

Mother Nature, Mother Earth.

If Mother Earth stood in front of you what would you say?
Sorry for taking your whales away,
Sorry for cutting your forests to shreds,
Sorry little animals for taking your beds,
Sorry polar bears for melting your ice, having to swim further to save your own live,
Sorry to all the fish in the sea, because its to hot you try to flee.
Sorry for the birds and the bees, not many left on the all gone trees.
Sorry for the nuclear plants, but man seems to think that he must advance.
Sorry for the wars we cause, they certainly are not gods or yours.
Sorry for the faith man has lost, your biggest creation is losing with cost.

If you were Mother Earth and told these things, what would you say to me?
“SORRY, SORRY, SORRY”, is all you have to say,”
You destroy everything which we have given you”.
” The animals are going have gone extinct,
You kill the air you so precisely need,
You fight each other and call it in the name of god, which god do you perceive,
The one with love to all, for all, which he created,
Or the one who fell from grace with hatred.

I would look at her with glee
Because the earth sounds like the second scenario to me.
The next question I would ask
Mother Nature are we going to last
. If everyone on the earth of today
threw down their arms and started to pray
would god hear our prays in just that day
mother nature would look at me
and look around at the all gone trees
then she would bend down on her green leafed knees
A tear in her sunlit eyes saying to me
“Sorry to late”.

What would you do if Mother Earth or Nature stood in front of you?

The End.

Rising Sun

Observe how the ants labor without a peep;
Note the fine artistry of the spider's web-spinning;
Who will wake the bear from his long winter sleep?
Stand in awe of the hummingbird flapping its wings;
Listen to the lovely melody the songbirds sing;
Watch the majestic hawks leave their nests and soar;
Bask in the rising sun's heat at the ocean shore.
An invitation into God's presence
comes from the sun, the creatures, and much more.
All of His creation emits His essence.

The Many Ways God Speaks To Us

The Many Ways God Speaks To Us There are many ways God’s seeking To make Himself known. But is man listening and looking To understand Nature’s revealing crown. It talks to our human senses Every waking moment of the day. And in the night so deep and dark, His starry heavens come into play. In the smile of a new born baby And those tiny hands so sweet, God shows us His creation glory Our own image to repeat. In Spring it is the flowers And their aromatic perfume; The lambs frisking with each other; Birds and their babies singing the same tune. In the lakes and babbling brooks He speaks to us as well. Full of fish and waterfalls— Many ignored stories to tell. The wind whispering through the trees But never can be seen; Sways the tallest of the forest; Then disappears like a dream. We see Him in the thunder storm And in lightning bolts so bright. They light up His majestic heavens, Even in the darkest night. In the white snow of winter, When those flakes begin to fall, Gently in their uniqueness They rest to cover one and all. If we would but look and listen To see God’s many ways Of teaching us precious lessons Of obedience and praise. Stars in their trackless courses Follow their appointed place and time. Why does man think he’s so different; Self-sufficient, yet needing the Divine? The many ways God speaks to us Are far too many to name. How can anyone say, “There’s no God”, Such blindness should be put to shame. God’s creation is all around us In the sun, moon, stars and sea; In everything beautiful He’s created That surrounds us lovingly. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com

Overcoming Depression

My days are long and my nights longer still
As I sit here watching this little pill
Will it remove the gloom I feel inside
Or will it just provide a chance to hide
When it wears off, am I back to square one
With an even greater gloom to take on
I have tried all the normal avenues
Yet I still continue feeling the blues
What is it that I really need to do
To rid this gloom and become myself true
Deep inside me, there's a fighting spirit
Saying to face this gloom and conquer it
Connecting with Nature provides an ease
Listening to the sound of a gentle breeze
While it's passing through the surrounding trees
Serenading them with the rustling leaves
I shall draw my strength from the divine source
In whose awareness I do not feel lost
I know I shall overcome finally
And once again my spirit shall be free

We all love you, Linda!
You Shall Overcome!

The Magician's Hall

The wind is in the west

and the moon large and low,

   the tapered horizon aglow

   with the recesses of a withered day;

How symphonic a minstrel display,

tallied up like gathered notes to eve's call,

   and the swooning lake ----

How the waves chase the eastern fringes of the bay,

they ask not why they go this way

   (or that)

   yet merely harken God's call

   as they persist their way,

   fain without promise.....

And cresting my observations,

as if in some pantomime-movie play ----

   I mused:

Where is the Projector?

Have You Ever?

Have you ever smelled the rain as a storm was getting near

then sat and watched as clouds began to appear

Have you ever heard the sounds of Gods thunderous roar

and looked to see his light along the shore

Have you ever listened to the rain when it starts pouring down feeling the flow of it
before it touches ground

Have you ever caught a breeze upon your face and somehow you new it was Our
Father's Embrace

Have you ever seen God's splendor after a storm was done when his heavens
open up and he shows his brilliant sun

Have you ever taken notice as the clouds start to divide and you see the rays of
sunshine peak over the sky

Have you ever seen his colors of grays, gold, purple and pink and wonder to
yourself how excellent God thinks

Have you ever looked at his miraculous sky when it shines so big and bright with
silhouettes of shadows beaming through the light

Have you ever seen a rainbow far above so high it goes from one end to the other
along his great big sky

Have you ever wondered how his sunlight rolls away and how his darkness
appears without dismay

Have you ever seen his display of wonders when you look into the night

and appreciated his stars above along with his moonlight

Have you ever imagined why God gave us these effects

I think it is to remind us that he deserves all respect

The Secret

There is an enemy, who keeps herself hidden to some.
There is an enemy, who with his mighty lies torments others.
But it is only one enemy.
And this enemy destroys the blood of brotherhood by convincing all that God is
one.
By convincing all that God is one and that she is many, this enemy convinces all
that we are outnumbered.
But God was many from the very beginning.
And so we are many, the forces of light.
It is the enemy who is outnumbered.
For we are a kingdom which cannot be divided for we are of the same substance.
For in the beginning was the Word, and the word was the light of humanity.
The Word is the light of humanity.
And the Word is many.
Amen.

Snowflakes

Circ’ling down in brilliant whiteness,
Sett’ling here upon the ground;
Blowing now about the bushes,
Making patterns straight and round.

Perfect beauty, perfect whiteness
Now assails my clouded sight;
Spread unbroken o’er the mountains,
Sparkling brightly in the light.

Microscopic detailed order;
No two flakes were e’re the same:
All designed in sep’rate order;
Who this wondrous tho’t can frame?

Who decreed this awesome order,
Who these details tho’t and planned?
Who made clouds to grace the heavens,
Spread the snowflakes with His hand?

Jesus Christ and God the Father,
And the Spirit, three in one,
Planned and formed, decreed and ordered,
Till this blessed deed was done.

BALLADE OF ETERNAL BLISS

Here the sun shines soft and warm—
Caressing all in vales and on hill—
It gives a glow to every inherent form—
And reveals for every eye a thrill.
Of here they never get their fill—
For this is Bliss, an endless treasure—
Where our dream is the Lord’s will—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

The garden is a lush, green platform—
Big blooms with the fluffiness of chenille—
Songbirds’ music raise a storm—
Their feathered robes fill the bill.
Wings spread they fly away at freewill—
Along the curvy course of the river—
They seek the Lord’s grace with skill—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

The dream cottage, fancy for the norm—
With a stone paved path to the doorsill—
A neat little shelter from the storm—
Has a spice garden for basil and dill.
And there’s a gazebo for time to kill--
For when gardenwork calls for leisure—
Or even for the blessing of a drizzle—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

To some this vision may instill—
A yearning for the bliss in nature—
But the Lord is sovereign still—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

FREE WILL: ILLUSION OR REALITY

Are we really free?
Free to chose to:
Go wherever we please?
Do whatever we desire?
Be with whom we wish?
Pick whichever thing we fancy?
Without coercion
Without ever being obliged by an unseen force in
A predetermined or predestined way?

How?

How can we have free will to be wherever we
Wish to be
When:
Bound to earth we are with the
Heavy chains of gravity
Obliged, incessantly to follow it
And move
Around its circumference
Around the sun
Around the galaxy
Around the universe,
Having no chance ever to escape its
Deterministic laws?

Are we free?

Have we got a free will?
If yes, when did it start?
The day we were born or later on?
For the day we were born
We knew nothing of:
What we were
Who we were
What we wanted
What we needed
What we desired

Subject were we to our bodily organs and
Their functions
No control had we over:
Our heart
Our liver
Our kidneys
Our spleen
Our blood circulation
Our brain
And had no idea of
How to defend ourselves against
Deceases
How to produce blood
How to digest

We had not any control then and we have
No more control now as adults

How then are we free?

In what respect?

Is it because we choose A over B?
To be here or there?
To do this or that?

What if our choices are just the
Result of the working of nature in us?
The outcome of ideas and tendencies,
Implanted in our mind and soul by Man or
Mother nature?

Doesn’t our acceptance of free will seems
Like declaring:
The earth goes aroud the sun because
Of its free will
Or
A stone falls as a result of
Its free will
Or
A seed spouts because of its free will
Or
The salmon, after venturing for years in
The ocean, returns to the river it came to life,
To lay its eggs, out of free will?

Or is free will the result of
Our Lord the creator and creator of the universe
As they say?

If that is the case then we may ask:

Would the wisdom of our God entrust His creation to us?
To our free will to do as we please?

If the answer is yes, then
What the result of such freedom would be on
The world God has created?

Whatever the answer may be, the mystery
Will linger

For

We, know nothing for certain
Hence
We just believe!

God Has Made Everything Beautiful In His Time

“There is a time for each season…
To everything made…
There is a divine reason.

A time for purpose under
 the heavens above…
A time for meaning from a God of love.

A time to be born. A time to die…
A time to farm the ground
 under the beautiful sky.

A time to kill. A time to heal...
A time to tear down and
to build up with a passion and zeal

A time for weeping. A time for laughing…
A time to mourn. A time for dancing.

A time to keep...
A time to throw away.
A time to tear. A time to make amends today.

A time to get. A time for losing…
A time to keep. And to give
 away at our choosing.

A time for silence. A time to speak…
A time for each hour
 and day of the week.

A time for love. A time for hate…
A time for war. A time for peace at your gate.

How will you spend the time
 God has given to you?
What is your choice? What will you do???

May this be a time living in
God’s purpose and design.
He created you and made
everything beautiful in his time!
