Waiting On A Woman

It's been three long years, that have gone by
Searching high and low for the apple of my eye
The one who will let her hair down and be free
Many I have met , just not the one made for me

She doesn't have to be flawless or fancy free
Only one to hold my hand and heart endlessly
It's been too long since I felt that soft touch
Of the burning lips of the one I love so much

That feeling of someone waiting and wanting me
Mysteries of pleasing her wholly and completely
I'll run my fingers through her hair and disappear
My heart and mind will be open, with her here

I yearn for her scent, her smiles, and her charms
To hold her close, so tight, wrapped up in my arms
Oh To fall in love again would be such a sweet dream
To have someone to call my own, us, together as a team

Been three long years since I've had feelings so true
If you're out there, I'm here waiting, it's long overdue

We Danced Through Life

We danced amongst the stars that night
when joy had fallen far from sight

We danced under the sun so bright
And when all seemed lost, we held on tight

We danced to the music of hummingbirds
And we danced in the silence when there were no words.

We danced in the shadows of fear and doubt
And we danced when we questioned what life’s about

We danced amongst the evergreens
That posed for painters winter scenes.

We danced in the winters bitter chill
And when we danced our world stood still.

For that’s what love was meant to be
To find the dance when we cannot see.

To write a new song when the music stops
With lyrics that caress every tear that drops.

For when the rhythm changes and tempo slowed
We’re called to dance with the seeds we sowed.

For life is hard, there is no doubt
But Dancing through it, is what life’s about.

WHEN I LOVE THEE

I LOVE THEE I am no voluptuous beauty nor do I live a life of purity I can only say: I love wholeheartedly with all I am so truthfully I keep my heart open though it gets hurt so often I avoid to be irate as I know love changes the heart rate.. Guys tried to coo and woo, they say words as for "only you" Yet, hard to believe it is true as I see some untrue I give chances as my heart marks with tact entrances I learned from various instances looking man in romances In places where rules impede, two persons who wants to bid Not of money but of affection, in them must be determination I love thee not of what you have… Not even of who you are but to how you are to me… If I love you, don't tell me much what to do… As me, myself will show you, I am that real and true.. Yes, I am liked by many but tell you what: I don't like this honey nor am I proud of it in anyway One is enough to make me stay Stand with me through it all, I give my best not to fall My name your sweetest call echoing in every wall.. Hold me firm yet dear; allow me to move closely We'll make it anyhow, treading smoothly on flows... We are strong, aren't we? No one moving alone Together we'll face phases in tune, though there will dunes.. © OLIVE ELOISA D. Paradise Leaving Not A Trace

Paradise Leaving Not A Trace

I took the last picture off the wall
then my broken heart started to bawl
on the floor lay your broken vows
fat they lay like bloated cows

The love sworn by your sacred heart
flipped over like an apple cart
the corner lay three mismatched shoes
I sit here , lonely, cryin' da blues

I took that picture and held it tight
sad memories of our fightin' last night
you spat upon my deep, deep remorse
grieved as you beat on that dead horse

I saw dear hope entered my heart today
I saw a picture that reminded me of you
the pretty girl had your perfect eyes
sun shining so like you in her skies

Tell me just one more time how you care
lie to me even if it is an oath unfair
whisper gasps of our sex-filled nights
baby, please forget those recent fights

Lets hang the pictures back on the walls
lock the doors, not take any damn calls
undress as we rush into mad, mad embrace
stay in that paradise leaving not a trace

Robert J. Lindley, 06/21/1976

This was my last poem written to her before my first wife and I finally
divorced. I had my best friend deliver it. He said she threw it into the
garbage can and told him to tell me to go jump into a lake. Next morn I
knocked on the door there, her mother answered. I asked for my poem back
from the garbage can, she got it and gave it to me! I have it still with dried
food stains on the last stanza.
I keep it to remind me that too late is a damn terrible place to ever be!!! This
is the first time I have ever shared it with anybody since she never even read
it.
I hope you may like it , for it shows that young fools
suffer too. And often rightly so...

Love Train Haiku

ATTRACTION,,,,,

                    Eyes glued to body,
                    Roaming from head to toe,
                    Drooling mouth water...

FIRST LOVE,,,,,,

                    A sudden attack,
                    Swept off your feet,
                    Above cloud nine...

IN LOVE,,,,,,,,,,,

                    Communication amazing,
                    Thoughts wave connect,
                     Heart beating as one...

               My first HAIKU

Thank You

Thank you for being rock solid for me
Allowing me to simply be
Give me space to come crashing down
To sing out of key to smile or frown

Thank you for being willing to stay
Each time I tried to run away
Hold me, kiss me till it passes
When I stare through gloomy glasses

Love me cos I'm yours to keep
Hold me while I fall asleep
Let me go so I can move
Marvel when I'm in the groove

When my brain and heart short circuit
Read the manual on how to work it
When I'm rushing slow me calmly
Be my strength when I go barmy

Understand my every act
No matter how the odds are stacked
And when I want to run and hide
Open your heart I'll climb inside

When I am loving sweet and tender
Welcome me, reflect, surrender
Give your life right by my side
And love each second of the ride

Love in Episodes

Such explosions of love ecstatic
from fumbling youths and naive romantics.
In wedded bliss when passions flowed
two people alone in honeymoon glow
Flammable pleasure, ignitable moments to treasure,
we did love, we did fight, You and I.

Like awaited episodes of a reality show,
responsibilities began to gnaw as they grow.
The candle of love flickered with breath abated
claiming its due from fires deflated.
Though loving was tender still quick to temper
we did love, we did fight, You and I.

The children gone and the house deserted
alone again with our quality time protected.
A simple touch, a gentle nudge then smiling,
at such an age one mistake saw patience flying.
Eyes bleary, hard or hearing but recalling clearly,
we did love, we did fight, You and I.

The rocking chair now sways to silent music
only in the eyes can one realise, such beauty.
Smoldering fires of love and reined in emotions,
memorising every tryst with pledges of devotions.
Blessed with so much given and oceans of raw passion
in abundance we lived as God promised, His love unrationed.
still we hated, we had to fight, but we did love You and I.

Not Built Strong Enough

Erector sets and wooden blocks
Dominoes and house of cards
Built way up to be knocked down
Scattered all across the ground
Model cars and airplane kits
Making sure each piece will fit
Snapped together without glue
Just to fall apart on you
Puzzles without all the pieces
Will not work and it decreases
The fun and joy of finishing
A picture without it's full scene
All these things can fall apart
Or not be finished from the start
Like a love without the trust
Which is a necessary must
So it doesn't break and tremble
And you have to reassemble
Two hearts with a solid glue
So it doesn't fall on you
From a height that is too high
To complete---you let it die
From a lack of love and care
Broken too much for repair

Oh Sarah

The morning dew glistens upon the open field
Another new day is here
Will I find my true love today
Is he really out there
Will I find my true love today
Will he ever appear
Will I find my true love today
That is the least of my fears

OUR FIGHT

Clouds of doubt hovered
Over our heads
They multiplied and grew to
Mistrust
That brewed to a storm of anger which
Unleashed its rage in
Thunder of words and
Lightning of gestures

In a while
The exhausted tempest subsided
Clouds dissipated
The sun of trust hesitantly appeared
It grew stronger and brighter,
Reason prevailed,
Feelings warmed up,
Harts palpitated,
Arms opened wide
And
We threw ourselves into
Each others embrace
Finding thus shelter in
Our love

Hence

Fearing the coming of a
New storm, NO MORE!
