PLAGIARIZING

"Mine all Mine!"

A thief I long to be
Your eyes original like the moon and sea

A lover in the world............
An Anthology, you walk and talk like the word "AMOR."

The words you send, I nicely tuck under my pillow
Every note every line you left behind
I memorized till they became all mine
Word-for-word,
Unauthorized I scrape the concrete calluses off the tongue
Pirating the perfect dramatic monolog look,
Basking through the passage around your Bio,
Lost in the musky scent -around the sonnet of your aura light
Epic enough, I reach inside to feel every idyllic rhyme
A strong iambic meter curse, conjuring up the perfect verse
In you I lift a copy paste from your lips,
No need to credit the sources in your bliss
The sweetest undamaged sensual memorandum book
A moment I stole and sealed without copyright proof

My dearest Poet,
When you move across the room
I see a thousand arrows that follow from behind,
Indulged when you speak and point out a verse per verse
I am a victim pampered by your words,
Sponging every line, adding them to my crib notes
Improved wordplay that infringed my everyday diary
A haiku so tangible, it sets the perfect images in my dream,
Hypnotize after I read your first love poem
A printed feeling--
Borrowed from the sun

ONLY EVER WITH YOU

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U Only ever with you, I love to have and hold into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold; into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold; only ever with you, I yearn to grow old... Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush Only ever with you my being wants to attach as first step already taken to our primrose path Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point Stars and moon may leave the dark skies yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes day and night, I see the rising sunrise. Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity. Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity. Mindless to whatever is there in humanity Only ever with you... _______________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY -- February 27, 2015 ©O. E. Guillermo 5:32 pm, February 26, 2015

Eyes of Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope eyes

A world of change
Round and round
Unfolding-
My heart of envy and gold,
The birth of a new stone
Hazel room, vibrant lilac sky,
Deep orange haze in a warm place
Arms of sapphire and cornflower blue
Fuchsia beauty drip
All colors drift
The day we met
Visions of dark slate-gray
Fading away
Lighting the new age gem
Turning and creating different stars
Magic mint skies
White antique petals follow the wind
Opal dreams, clouds embedded with impurity
My heartbeat produces flashing colors
The palest amethyst bluebonnet forever fields
Flawless tear drop streams
Diamond shaped love
Ruby red promises to keep
Falling into the deep
Every color spins new
The day I fell in love with you
Peridot lime green shade
A love as old and gray
Olive brownish sun
Honeydew skin
Our future clear as aquamarine
Every day you turn fresh new seasons in me
Changing the sequence in my colors and event
Kaleidoscope Eyes
Reflected by the mirrors of you
Crystallizing everything

An Open Window

I watch this world pass by, miracle after miracle, overcome with thoughts of life and death - heated in a buttery sky; the air melts into far corners, farther than my eyes can see. Faster, this world spins into eternity, faith, and possibilities. An open window becomes a gate to step through, a starting place - as a bluebird dips in the birdbath, squirrels scurry across green grass, a blue horizon darkens like a memory. Those who hurriedly pass by feign contentment with plastic smiles, earbuds, cell phones, a false sense of purpose. I feel content, at peace, and yet, I ache for more - a yearning from deep within. I feel it wash over my skin. Cars drive by, everyone’s going somewhere, but not I. I sit here…I watch. I whisper a short prayer for a friend, I remain silent with His answer – patience…all will work out in time; head bowed, I pray for His healing hands to touch me. In my father’s arms, I am comforted and whole. I am who He sees… sunlight traces storm clouds painting rainbows over shadowed trees, a beautiful canopy. His love flows through me, pouring out at Calvary. In the afternoon rain, I see each drop of blood. A choir of clouds congregate. I hear their worship song. I see a crown of thorns around them. I feel the weight of the cross He struggles to carry. Mangos fall with the rain from a shaken tree, then lay bruised on limp, wet leaves; flies begin to swarm around them; following the clouds trajectory, I envision more than I can bear - His slashed skin and mangled bones flash before my eyes. With hands nailed, He's hung on the cross in shame and suffering; every labored breath taken until death for an ungrateful world… my soul seems to understand what I cannot grasp…all of this, He did for me….and you. Love becomes more than a word, a blessing becomes more than a concept. I sit at my window unnoticed; I watch the world pass by - every leaf, pebble, bird, raindrop and new life, I see, like a child with a loving father, a miracle…

Gentle Summer Rain Art

Featuring:) Giorgio Veneto

She writes about Fall's beauty in the rain
The falling raindrops' dance ascribing thence
Bespoken verse that lightens her refrain
before the time they met - her steps commence.

She listens to the soft and rhythmic thrum,
her love turned to escape and cloudy string
Where nimbus mistletoe fell, tears to become
Their kiss of Autumn was symbolic ring.

The first light cotton mists with summer rays
While skyward cheerful laughs adorn the land,
their ceremonial dance diffuses grays,
affectionate embrace, where dreams expand.

Upon September's sky the raindrops gleam
With half of hidden Sun to laugh and beam.

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS Have I met trouble when I met your ocean eyes for beneath that steady gaze, I reach the highest sky? Slothful moon turned grey, so the stars: tired and pale when I behold your white angelic grace. . . Distant and unfamiliar you may seem, I wasn't afraid to run, run and catch your gleam without a guarantee of us becoming one, still, I pursue to behold you, my woman. I am no Romeo nor you are not Juliet but allow me to prove, I love immaculate... Hundred miles and hundred days we may separate, yonder, seasons change, my heart to you, I dedicate. Overseas, each time the ship reach the shore, immediately like thunder, I trip to the door for me to send my love letter or find a phone excited I am, the opportunity, I don't postpone! Pity at that time, no internet or cellphones yet so the instant a signal peeps, it's you, I first check. My ears blush and so I am in fever love each time our exchange of thoughts began. Then again while we talk, sometimes, the signal fret, or without proper warning our chats end to wreck. Coins gone and so time on shore is done, again I want to dial My sunshine smile not turning to the river Nile... My heart on somersaults when they hand me your letter like a little boy with his favorite toy, I keep it near my chest awhile I am on reversed cardiac arrest, I confess. Winter feeling I have blown and within is a summer weather, ten months or a year in the middle of the sea with only your letters and photo I kiss, I, in jubilee! Years passed, I came home and I search your address, my intentions of wanting to marry you, I will express. Your parents, unsure of me, they probe too much. How many women I touched-- I gone to bed with for am a sailor, they thought to any girl I resort, I was stunned but I remain calm and quiet as I know myself, loyal to you and no one else. I tried to woo them and prove, my only love is you. God must have blessed us-- as their stone heart melt, a year later, my dream of being your husband came true. _____________________________________________________________ ©O. E. Silent Stars

Stars come out to dazzle my eyes.
Glowing bright, they ignite my soul.
Like candles lit across the sky,
night inspires words to gently roll
from my lips to your waiting ear.
I profess my love to you only
when lights dim low, I hold you near,
and remember our life happily.
All the world seems to fade away
as I look at you in starlit night.
My dreams have changed, but here you’ve stayed.
You lift me when others fall from sight.
With you, I still feel like that girl
so innocent when we first met.
Like inside a shell, a gleaming pearl,
you still find me when I forget.
Blessings rained down when I found you,
more love and light than I could name.
All the heavens shined on me renewed,
and the stars fell silently in flames.

A Single Soul Cries Out

A Single Soul Cries Out

Across this barren lake my ghost did sail
lost and heading straight into another hell
Behind, remnants of a dark and wayward past
treasures stored that shall never last

Sunny skies ever looking down upon me
joined by those memories soul sought to flee
No wind to send my ghost sailing right along
on the shore images of a faceless throng

So far ahead a welcoming sandy white beach
forever racing farther and farther from my reach
No deeds to perform to gain my deep reprieve
only memories of those I so easily did deceive

Within this lonely lake a single Soul cries out
forgive me , forgive me , in a wailing shout!

Robert Lindley

note: Once a man raced about all alone,
stumbled upon a rolling stone,
fell into a headlong dismay,
gathered the courage to just pray,

Words that did by faith then atone,
soon the condemnation was forever gone..

Justice in the Quest For Love

I saw how martyrs longed for love, and so began the play of my flitting heart
A strange girl had I become, with airs of fickle dream,
My heart an embodiment of wonder to all that dared to behold it
Closing my eyes, I would find myself knowing something new would shine my way
Had I known what was coming, the dawn would seem far less appealing...

As all journeys begin, a darkness began to veer its head
The plot of reality melted in dissonant chords...
Dark blue fogs of doubt caked my mind and heart
Though the longing for love never left...
And had it left, no dawn would await me

I saw there were rules setting a foundation for my intensely embarked mark
I knew if I were to feel any twinge of fire,
I must first be rid of the fog...or at the very least find my way through it
How it stung as it hit my virgin skin, not like gentle clouds talking me through it,
Caressing, surrounding and seducing. . .
No, like a poison, the bleak thickness of the doubt choking me
Reducing me to child's tears...I toiled through its torments,
I rested upon rough rocks of rhetorics
Admiring their vitality and honesty...
At one point in time I had convinced myself that I was one of them
A rock- cold, rough... hardened and overlooked...destined to crumble
Though more demands surfaced on this quest for love's Justice

Weakened by the blue fogs blackening,
I cried out in the pit of my heart, surrendering before me
Words...kept so long inside...
I freed them from the strongholds of my darkest nights
And soon there was a deep, hypnotizing reply...

Justice, tall and proud, said from above the sinking pit,
"True, I have seen you before,
A token of adoration you have become,
Crying night after night in melodious black,
With little to take, and everything to give...
My demands are simple, as your longing is profound,
You, yes, you! Take my hand so I may hold you tightly..."

My mouth agape, I stretched out my hand to meet the vines of his fingers
Clutching in sparks, he breathed into me life... and promise of love

"Surrender your heart to the hope of love
When you find you are not alone, as none of you are,
When you praise with your singsong words that passion has altered,
Giving all to a soul you have yet to see,
You shall feel my hand lift you as I do now...
Soon once more, you shall learn- the dawn will always be dawn
And the night will always be your velvet pathway to Beyond."

This, Justice proclaimed in the voice of a thousand cries of birth
The overtones spilling out in rainbows of rapture

It was soon after his visit, I knew I must perform...
Surrender, faith, and action Three keys to the same door...
And they, golden and alight, were in my hands to use

The time came when my heart grew roses, thorns and all
And hearts smashed their way through, though I cherished the burn...
Fogs still lingered in the alleyway of fear
And now I knew not to inch my way near

For the punishment he had whispered like darts in my ear,
"If you, now seeing the truth, dismember your heart,
I will crush your petals into black abyss,
I will reduce you to dust, leaving the thorns,
I am animal in the face of failure,
My tolerance for hate is shorter than an ant beholding a mountain
And if you so much as reject my call,
Hate is exactly what I will allow,
And it will destroy you, oh singing heart..."

This I ask of Justice, on the day of my calling, and yet still today... -
"Tell me, oh spirit,
Phantom of Epiphany,
When the love I so long for locks tightly upon me,
Becoming me,
Shall it be as I dreamed,
Or shall I be wholly disappointed,
Left in the agony of reality,
Where roses grow, thorns and all...
Only to wither...and die...
?"

He was so gentle...that he merely smiled and left me...

It was right away, soon after his departure,
That I felt he never would fully leave...
He allowed me to weave my own dreams,
Finding out for myself if reality was truly as magical as they write
And as for an answer, as dull as this may sound... it is...

I, like many tearful martyrs before me,
Continue to long for a love that will fulfill me
Often reality teases me, and I know not if she is demon or angel
Though one day, I will see reality is on my side, ugly or not
The play of my flitting heart still beating its rhythmic drums
The rainbows of overtones lulling me into ecstasy,
As I see words of wisdom thriving in the hands that save

This, though little, I know-
Love is justice of reward beyond our wildest dreams
He sings to us every night, never making promises...
He just smiles and allows us to live it
He allows us to discover, and in turn give...
To enlighten others still trapped in the ruts of fog
Once we feel it, there is no turning back
Please do not let him crush those roses you have made...
Even their foundations were meant to reach the skies
Touching the brightest dawn...and Beyond..

Shadow Puppets

Shadow Puppets

Once, side by side, they walked the moonlit beach
In silence, each alone and incomplete
In separate worlds, joined only by the reach
Of tiny, lapping waves upon their feet.
As silver beams of moonlight iced the ground
And blotted out the warmth of sandy gold,
The warmth of humanness was hidden, bound
Beneath blind souls that shivered in the cold.

Yet on the sand their shadows danced along—
A silhouetted couple synchronized
In motion…forms united, clear and strong
Against the blankness which the moon devised.

Dark, shadow puppets sparked a guiding light—
Gave living souls new vision in the night.

Listen With Your Heart

Listen, my fellow dreamers,
But listen with your heart,
And hear the silent music
Of which we're all a part.

Cover your ears, my dreamers
Lest the worldly tunes drown out
The inner magic symphonies
Of what life's all about.

Listen, listen, listen,
And hear the song of Love;
It's echoing within you,
Outside, beneath, above.

It's playing in the meadow
And in the city street;
Resounding in your friendships
And the stranger that you meet.

Listen, listen, listen,
To the symphony of Hope;
Its crescendo's growing louder
To help you grasp and cope.

It's drowning out the concert
Of trouble and of strife;
Just close your ears and listen
To this melody of life.

Listen, listen, listen,
To Faith's unending song;
There's magic in its music
To make and keep you strong.

Feel the mighty power,
It's flowing through your soul;
Its tune will conquer mountains
And fulfill your every goal.

Listen, listen, listen,
But listen with your heart,
And hear the silent music
Of which we're all a part.

Let Me Be Your

Let me be your angel
Let me heal your pain
when there is a drought
Let me be your rain.

Let me be your helper
Let me be your friend
When there is a beginning
Let me not have an end

Let me be your guide
Let me take your hand
when you are an ocean
Let me be the sand

Let me be a thought
Let me into your mind
when you need an answer
Let me be on one you find

Let me be your angel
Let me be the voice that sings
when you're ready to fly
Let me give you wings.

About , Those Angel Eyes

About , Those Angel Eyes

Silently basking in your soft and gentle light
living deep within your natural glow
Your precious lips tell all a man needs to know
as heaven you cast into the starlight night

That night across the room I first saw those loving eyes
there hope cast into my soul winning your hand and heart
Thoughts of bliss and life that should never see us part
I swore an oath to win you should it take a thousand tries

By your loving side, softly resting in your gentle shade
stars faded to your light as the moon sought your love
Angels dancing in rhythm singing glory from far above
pale against steamy nights and the hot love we made

Your soul and spirit were to seed my desperate cries
for your loving kisses and touch to ever so die for
Love sent me play for , yes to even beg much more
for paradise resting in the light of those angel eyes

A PLACE IN THE SUN

A PLACE IN THE SUN A place in the sun, it's there I want to run. . . Orange and yellow palette brush my face, they dry my wells of fears and so I won, I-- slowly flower from God's skirt of grace. Unfailing is His love shown sweet to His face, I eagerly crave to behold in million tons as to entwine in His warmth: My Master race. A place in the sun, it's there I want to run. . . Rainbow peeping after some raging storm spun; His reminder that we: His people must chase infant days to grow better with our love ones. Orange and yellow palette brush my face for God so kind. My pains, He soothes and erase. Tender are His words as I read them one by one helping me be fearless yet humble with my pace. They dry my wells of fears and so I won-- then my heart soar high, I have some fun. Evil always haunts but with Him, all I can evade, hence, troubles are little but close to none. I slowly flower from God's skirt of grace. . . God crashes darkness with love not by gun. Must we go elsewhere when He is the best hiding place? God is everything before even life began God our undefeatable fortress-- His base a place in the sun. __________________________________________________ Sponsor Gail Angel Doyle Contest Name A Place In The Sun Placed 1st ©O>E. I AM YOUR SERVANT

I AM YOUR SERVANT I adore You Oh God, my King and my God, The Most Powerful among all... I am Your servant Father God I want nothing but to follow You Tomorrow Oh Father God Coat us with the Holy Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ Father God, I acknowledge that You alone is the greatest source of wisdom, strength and guidance. Tomorrow Father God, me and my brothers and sisters in Christ will walk and try in every way to win souls as one Father God, we will try to seek for the lost, empty and sick as one Father God, we will share our life testimony this the life changing experience we have had since the day we accepted You as our God as one Oh Father God, we will be united in one will and one mission this is to widen Your kingdom We will do this by sharing Your gift of salvation and healing Oh Father God, I ask You humbly to fill us Cleanse and purify our hearts and minds Allow us to be worthy in partaking this task Sent unto us Your Holy Spirit to empower us I believe oh Father God that if one or two is gathered under Your Name You are in the midst of them I invite Your presence to engulf our beings Open our spiritual eyes to see those who needs you most Open our ears to be sensitive to Your living words--our bread of life Open our hands to give the best of what we have to serve You and I believe anything we will do for Your greater glory You will refill You said to Your words You will provide us everything Open our hearts and minds so that we may fully understand the preaching Oh Father God, Your servant is not a good speaker but I believe Father God, thru Your Divine POWER You will anoint me and so the words that will come out from my mouth are the words You want us to know Oh Father God, Your servant is not a singer but I believe Father God You will lead me. You will not much care on how my voice is. The most You will care about is the voice of my heart. You will care on the purity of my intentions for You know that I am singing a song to lift Your Name on high, To give You praise, To bring You glory and to bless Your Holy Name. I sing songs to thank You and to express my love on You. Oh Father God, Your servant is not "somebody" but I believe Father God You will make a "somebody" or "nobody" be "someone" under Your Name Like King David in the Holy Bible the youngest, the shepherd but You made Him the man closest to Your Heart Like Paul and Peter whom scared you turned them as two of Your greatest apostles. Oh Father God we rely on You, We seek Your presence in us Allow us to wear Your armour: a helmet that is Your salvation a belt that is the truth a breastplate that is righteousness a shield that is a fortified faith a pair of shoes that is Your living Words a sword that is Your Holy Spirit dwelling in us. I am thirsty and hungry for Your presence in my life. I know You alone can fill the holes still present in me. I offer myself as Your servant Father God speak to me, speak to me reveal to me, reveal to me tell me more, tell me more... Amen. ___________________________________________________________ O.E. Mistress Fire

You are beautiful, like fire in the night,
warming me with no boundry
heating me with severity
burning me right,
encircling me with love danger delight,
rattling my manhood's erection
lapping through circulation
engulfing my might,

How could I be in love
with the wind, earth or water
when I have you, my Mistress of Fire,
Enchantress of my blood bud, of my dark dove,
a flamed feathered rub
you lick around my head of history
using red and gold strokes to paint mystery
supernatural seductress of bonfire therapy, I delve,

I stoke you repeatedly with my masculine trunk,
you spray sparks like a star in oval orgasm,
catching you with my soul's hot prism
we give our lust divine spunk,
price for thee, my heart's eternity you've drunk,
You, a woman rediscovering love of song
I, exploring rose ritual in your dawn,
Muse and Poet, minx and hunk -

I'M COMING HOME

Oh, you know that I miss you girl
And you're always on my mind
Away from you can be like prison
Feeling like I'm serving hard time
You know that I'm counting days
From this long road to finally free
Coming home to your tender arms
Cherished thought of you and me

Girl, everyone can see I'm hurting
God didn't make us to live alone
You know even before this gig's over
My heart and soul are already home

Yeah, all these songs of heartache
So many couples can't work it out
You know that isn't us, sweet girl
Of this.. there's no need to doubt
But I sing their songs every night
The crowd, well they think it's me
Because the pain of being away
From you, is the deepest of agonies

Girl, everyone can see I'm hurting
God didn't make us to live alone
You know even before this gig's over
My heart and soul are already home

And I can't wait, no it won't be long
I'm coming home to my one true song
My one true song

Girl, no longer will I be hurting
Thank God I won't be living alone
This gig will finally be over
Sweetheart, I'm coming home

I'm coming home
I'm coming home

B-R-E-A-T-H - OF - L-O-V-E

B-R-E-A-T-H - OF - L-O-V-E Summer sun or winter freeze pulls heartstrings in trapeze. . . Cotton soft to gnarled callus vows have thread along my way embroidering ribbon actions to pliant swings of reactions like a darting fish thrilled to catch a passer-by knees. Two pairs of eye sew webs to bridge affection display, pines teeming green crown my arrested heart-- tachycardic I am... each time I hear your sound. Has breath of love tickled my nerves to interaction? Like a bee I'm drawn to your sweet ambiance 'round hoping by miracle it will birth me a fresh start. Scents that streams from bulbs swirl on wafting wind-- Ah! They all fell to shame for your breath of love tames. Once a rebel soul that long been thriving for satisfaction with breath of love that resuscitates, I mend my flame channeling muse to stroke the peak density of mind. Slender February breeze taunt my fingers to type rhymes that shy edge of reason. Eternally plunge in surrender I-- filled with breath of love ships my horizons to script stories in shades that lingers. . . ______________________________________________ ***Sponsor Shadow Hamilton Contest Name your Favourite Old Poem ++Placed 3rd++ ©O.E. Love is

Love is

Love is special
Romantic feelings
Sensual thoughts
Hope and expectations
Seize the moment!

Love is a real drug
Casting a spell
On one’s inner psyche
Bringing pleasure
Leaving a message!

Love is with you
As one sees answers
In the eyes and heart
Emotions so special
Feel our love whole!

Love is alchemy pure
Paracelsian—yes
A dramatic power
Emotion + Passion + Joy
Equals Love so pure!

Love is the reddest rose
Supreme symbol of love
Flower of pulchritude
Sends a clear message
Love signal affirmed!

Love is magical
Love is majestic
Love is divine
Love is God’s Gift
Love is God’s Love!

How You Make The Stars Hush

There is something about
The way you face your day
With a heart of gold
And such a giving way.

There is something about
The way you endure your pain
As if the stroke
Didn’t harm your brain

There is something about
The life you live
Loving like there will be no tomorrow
And living to forgive

There is something about
The brother you are
And the son you have been
That makes us more proud by far

It is everything about
The garden you grow
With sweat and tears
As the fruits to others you bestow

It is everything about
A body half paralyzed
That can produce gifts of woodwork
That leaves us mesmerized.

It is everything about
Your speech so limited
Yet communication
For you is unlimited.

It is everything about
Your inner soul
That has inspired me
To be so much more

It is you my brother
In all that you do
That have made the stars
Hush for me too.

I have been blessed to have such a brother

READY TO LET GO

I'm ready to let go
Show you all of me
Expose my inner soul
It's longing to be free
Pretense can't survive
Plastic's for the shelf
Authentic comes alive
Revealing one's true self

So take a look inside
Walls are coming down
Tell me what you think
No one else is around
There's beauty to behold
But I'm also a big mess
If you take.. it's all of me
So I'll reveal and confess

People say that I'm a fool
Tell me to hide my flaws
But I'm doing it my way
Violating culture's laws
Cause..
I don't have your heart
If I win it with a skillful lie
I unzip, here's my secrets
So is it Hello or Goodbye

The First Flower I Chose

The First Flower I Chose

You were my rose, the first flower I chose
A beauty so fair, such shine in your hair
You I chose, the finest ever love rose
Asked on a dare, the prettiest girl there

Soon we wed, pretty flower graced my bed
Nights sent such bliss, heaven I did not miss
Flames in bed, want no other instead
Honey that kiss, love never was like this

Years together, in good and bad weather
Loving every night, touching sweet just right
Joy our weather, sweet kisses a feather
Sexy the sight, your naked body at night

My rose did cast, true love that did so last
I held so fast, to that ship's greatest mast

CITADEL AND CONSTELLATIONS

CITADEL AND CONSTELLATIONS The green leaves in rugged moans; The tall bushes in rumbling groans; The roofs train creaks-- their fugue blow cobwebs hugging branches below, such are precursors inviting darkness lair for stormy clouds before crowd the days. Yellow horizon seem unreachable honey as in my life's ocean, balloon billows I bear. I-- surged in every swell to skirt yet still lashing waves dashed pushing me sometimes to despair. Again, cataclysm walk unheralded casting loose my arms lift upon the glimmer of silver lining from afar somber shadows enshrouded me in a mist of struggles. Ounce of strength I have, I try to juggle and juggle yet, curses fell from hearts and lips parched of love. All these came, one and all -- the flowing light has flickered flash and gone but beyond all these you stood -- my sentinel... You hushed the bad constellations hanging 'round my world like a lighthouse guiding a lost ship to his home. Yes! You are my beacon, a promontory amidst cyclic onslaught brambles and chameleons, a rock to cling in the wind's creeping fury, Staunch and firm, my ñhero fighting the torrential cascade of tirades and reproaches: MY CITADEL. . . _____________________________________________________________________ ***Sponsor Shadow Hamilton Contest Name Your Favourite Old Poem #2 ++Placed 2nd++ ***Sponsor Justin Bordner Contest Name How You Make The Stars Hush ++Placed2nd++ ©O.E. Sunshine Radiance

Sunshine Radiance

Your love is my true sunshine radiance,
That greets me every day with such passion.
It sets my heart and emotions afire!
Words often fail me at times dearest one,
As I seek to share the depth of my love
For you and how it makes me feel daily.
The brightest of moons and stars in Heaven
Can’t match the splendor you bring to my life.
My heart is joyful when we touch and kiss!
Our love basks in your sunshine radiance!

The Missionary And The Bum

There once was a bum. He was the neighborhood drunk. He had a unkempt
demeanor. His salt and pepper hair
had not been washed in years. The clothes he wore were ragged. His shirt had giant holes in them.He looked twice his age. In his drunken state he cursed everyone that came his way.
His smell was so horrible you might as well say he showered in whiskey.
That didn't bother this young missionary who lived nearby.
Every day she would bring the old bum
food and clothing. She would offer him
shelter as well.
"Hi sir . How are you today?"
"Why don't you just leave me alone. Can't
you see I don't want to be bothered."
he stated with a slur.
"Sir I'm going to leave your food and your clothing right here". As she said those words she bent down and placed his things on the ground.
This was their routine for well over a year.
But on this in particular day the ole drunk
appeared to be coherent. He was sober.
As the young missionary approached him she said, "Hi Sir. How are you today?"
"I'm fine ma'am. How are you?"
"I'm well Sir. Are you hungry today?"
I brought you some food and water, and some clothes and shoes."
He shook his head no.
"Ma'am I don't want anything.However I do appreciate it so. I'm going home today."
His statement took her by surprise.
"Sir I didn't even know you had a home."
"Ma'am I do indeed have a home. I'm homeless by choice. I want you to know your kindness will not go unnoticed."
She knew it wasn't right to judge but she thought to herself he has gone insane.
" Miss I stopped believing in God along time ago but your loving kindness showed me God today." "Okay Sir.I'm going to leave these things and I will see you later.
However the next day the ol' bum was not
in his usual spot. And sadness overwhelmed her spirit. That ole bum had become a big part of her life. She grew to love him very much. As the days went by she continued to look for him and he wasn't there. It was as though he dropped off the face of the earth.
Today was a beautiful day and she was at the corner in the spot where the bum sat.Deep in her thoughts as she began to walk she nearly bumped into someone. As she was about to speak she saw this well groomed middle aged man with dashing good looks.?
" Hi Ma'am. How are you?" She recognized the handsome stranger's voice instantly.
"Sir is that you"? She asked just to make sure her mind wasn't playing tricks on her.
"Yes Ma'am it is I. I just came by to formally thank you for all of the kindness you showed to me. I was in
raggedy clothes and never once did you show disgust. You see I am a millionaire that had lost his way. You see my wife of nearly thirty years got ill and passed away. In that moment I lost my mind because my home didn't exist anymore."
As he finished telling his story little tears began to fall from her eyes.
Through small sobs she said " I'm sorry for your loss. I will continue to pray to God on your behalf."
" Ma'am your prayers is why I stand here today.
If God had not sent you my way I would probably still be lost. Please don't cry for me I will be okay". He reached in his pocket and pulled out an old business card and handed it to her.
"Take my card. Feel free to call me anytime. All that I have now belongs to you. Do you remember that day when I told you that your loving kindness would not go unnoticed?"
As he said those final words he turned and left,
leaving the young missionary dumbfounded.

MERGED IN SURRENDER

MERGED IN SURRENDER Kiss me quiet under the rain~ skips and pounds, awash the tears and pain fevering my anguish, with the July moon to stir my slothful frown, wide-skirted trees swing demure on the breeze their cyclic sops and bows-- a dancing clown. Our hands clasp to spins and turns on that wet ground, tango to loves groove, we are pleased to tease as this emblaze our spirit and behold our strength. The air touched by purple lilac blossoms caress-- it velvety flirt tickling our pact distress. Our hungered bodies beseech on nightly bounds in a ballroom beseem for loving grounds. From lips tiptoeing on skin, so easy they appease, to strokes flavoured by glows of summer reprise, slow to fast moves wings a-twitter heated degrees as this emblaze our spirit and behold our strength. Among the years where there's whispers that seize, experience match our heartbeats on impermeable squeeze and if tension snaps on daylight and nightfall sound in search of essences where rubbles or debris abounds... In the absence of solution, should we stop to care? Ah! Let crisp leaves of autumn display our memories, cherish the days when February sings Spring: our promise as this emblaze our spirit and behold our strength. Hearken thoughts and hearts merged in surrender, the shaped images and forms impress the depths, our love root a seed echoing the song of forever as this emblaze our spirit and behold our strength. __________________________________________________ ***The first three stanza didn't follow definite rhyme format but the rhymes are retained as much as possible on each stanza except the last one, the envoy is rhymed with. People need people

Even islands get lonely

Like weaving palm leaves to make baskets
Like crocheting to make a pair of socks
       We need each other

The threads that connect us all
The webs that we leave behind
       As we meet each other
       As we befriend each other
As we spend bits of time with each other
As we are there for each other
Add us years, that hold us dear

This Is How Much I Love You

This Is How Much I Love You

He lays on the wooden cross
accepting the piercing to his flesh
                                                     with thoughts of;

“This is how much I love you.”

"Destroyed By a Poet"
by: Eric L. Boddie

Precious are the words
Only your heart can serve
Every Beautiful thought
Tends to leave us caught
Deeply in the mix
Entertaining the thought of getting a fix
Strong enough to lift
The heart in us all, providing a gift
Relative to what we most desire
One inspiration that takes us so much higher
Your eyes touch this when confronted by the mirror
Every part of you is somehow superior
Rare, Loveable, all things of that such
And the fact of knowing you, to this poet means so much

Father's Advice On Being A Man - For Adult Contest

Father's Advice On Being A Man
("For Adult Contest")

Father said to son never be ashamed to be a man,
should you get married, live your life with a plan.
Not too harsh or rigid, else failure you will see,
be a good decent man, the one you admire in me.

Life can be so very cruel, the world can be too,
live deeply as you love, loving family as we do.
You see, it is the responsibility to be as good
as your life will permit and you know you should.

Never be ashamed for the world to see you cry,
cry for joy, as life does go on even after you die.
Write your core principles deep into solid stone,
for there are no overs after we are passed on.

Know that love is truly the great tie that binds,
watch whom you embrace, the world has all kinds.
Mothers are to be held in a very special embrace,
with love in your heart and a smile on your face.

If life ever gives you far more than you can bear
ask family to help, just you remember to share.
Remember the love coming from Mother and I,
walk a good path in this world and know the why.
