What Easter Means To Me

Tears of joy streak down
My dust covered face
As I just wandered by and witnessed
The utmost glorious grace

Just three days ago
I watched them crucify
The son of God himself
The man called Jesus Christ

They poked him with their spears
Wet his tongue with a vinegar sponge
Nailed him to a tree
And taunted “you’re not God’s son.”

He hung there ‘til he died
From his side water did drop
They buried him in a tomb
Where today I had to stop

Past three days the door was covered
A large stone placed there that day
But, today as I walked by
An angel rolled it away

He had kept his promise
Only 3 days would he lay dead
To forgive us all our sins
And, I believed in what he said

He glided out of the tomb
As if floating in the air
“Do not be afraid” he said,
With gentle love, and care

He represents new life
And all the wounds he can heal
Is Easter day your resurrection?
Can Jesus Christ be your shield?

I weep to think of the pain
He endured for you and me
So he could take away our sins
And one day, set us free!

The Easter Prayer of Thanks

The Easter Prayer of Thanks "2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow." Matt 28:2-3 NIV God, thank you for the gift of Easter; The sacrifice of your Son so treasured. To save our souls through your grace and mercy, That by heaven alone can be measured. Thank you for giving us hope; The hope of life after the grave. Winter dies and Spring comes to life— The resurrection of the saved! Your hand rules the universe With great glory and power. We give thanks for your love for us, And for every beautiful opening flower. We thank you for the birds That sing your praises every morn, And for the lofty mountains That with Winter's snow you adorn. Thank you for friends and family And the blessings that they bring, At this very special time— Christ's resurrection and the grandeur of Spring! Thank you for salvation Made possible by your love. Thank you that we have the hope of heaven— Easter's promise from above. May we all meet our Redeemer, As you come for us in the air, Because of Easter's hope of eternity, and the privilege of prayer! The Pain and the Agony

The Pain and the Agony The Pain and the Agony Jesus felt that day; It tortured His being; Death held no delay. Even to take a breath The pain was so extreme; The sins of us all, Crushed him beam to beam. The cross of the Romans; Built to inflict much pain. The pain of our sin-bearer Was suffered for our gain. Because He truly loves us, He was prepared to die. Stricken on the cross, Few heard His agonizing cry! The cross was one of victory— Victory over death, When Christ gave up the Spirit; Breathed His last breath. Satan in his ignorance Thought he’d finally won; Didn’t know this was just the beginning; New life would be given God's only Son. The Pain and the Agony; Blood was shed for you and me. This ultimate sacrifice God gave to set us free; Freedom from the bondage Of sin that Satan brought, Upon a sinless Eden, To bring us sin's onslaught. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

True Meaning of Easter Time--and Day

Easter Time... and day...
This is shown in many ways
Some celebrate it... by an Easter bunny
Tis funny
How the world man-made...
To distract Our Lord's Day

True meaning of Easter Time and Day
Tis God made a way... For all of Us to be Saved

Tis the day.. Our Lord and Savior
Was Crucified.. On the Cross
Nails driven in both hands and feet
Blood dripped down.. From thorns of a crown
That the soldiers placed on His head
They killed Our Lord.. Sword threw His side
Yes.. Our Precious Lord.. Jesus died..

Then the Earth Shook
Moment Jesus took
All our sins-suffering- disease -pain-away
Then three days
Our Beautiful Savior Raised
Jesus Our Divine Christ
Raised up from the dead
Save Our Souls... giving Eternal Life

Resurrected... for us to become redeemed from our sins
We have the opportunity to become Born-again
All God asks... of us is to believe
What His Only Begotten Son... had done
To whomsoever believes shall not perish
But have Everlasting Life
With Our Savior Jesus Christ
Live in Eternity... Forever

As we know... this world shall pass away
But Our Savior Shall Live on Forever

The ways of this world
Don't want anyone to know
The Truth... in Easter Time... Day...
For Tis then those whom has eyes to see
Hearts to believe...
Shall become saved... Born-again
Their Souls then... Live Eternally with Him
Jesus Christ... Our Divine King

Come to Jesus
While there is still time

Ascension

His spirit took flight

Like a snowy white dove

With the sun on its wings.

It flew toward the clouds

And disappeared

Leaving only a breath of

Wonder in its wake.

What Easter Means to Me

What Easter Means to Me! I think about what Easter means to me. There’s message that I hope you’ll see. There is a truth, a purpose for believing. But too often, it’s lost it’s true meaning! In this society, there tends to be a habit. Of comparing Easter with the bunny rabbit. There’s chocolate, candy and eggs in the store. As people come back, looking for more. There’s a message of God he wants to tell you. A message a life. Don’t let others fool you! A new life in Jesus, can be yours for the asking. An abundance of HIS love and life everlasting! HE is alive! He arose from the dead! His message of life eternal will forever be said! His gifts of love and mercy is for all to receive. He stands at your hearts door. Won’t you believe? What Easter means, is that Jesus is risen! This day… You can be cleansed and forgiven! Won’t you allow HIS message to touch your soul? The risen Jesus can make you whole! Let’s proclaim God’s message and make it clear! Jesus Christ is alive today! He is right HERE! The tomb is empty! The stone is rolled away! This is God’s time! The Lord’s resurrection day! Our Hope For Eternity

OUR HOPE FOR ETERNITY

Born a babe in Bethlehem
He grew to be a Man
He preached man's iniquity to them
In fury, they devised a plan

They watched Him heal the lame
And were amazed as He raised the dead
Upset as by the multitudes they came
As by the thousands, they were fed

Their anger grew until the day
A traitor, one of His own
Decided that he would gladly betray
Because his greed had grown

So for thirty pieces of silver
He gave Jesus into their hands
With a kiss, he chose to deliver
The Son of God – the Son of man

He was crucified, dead and buried
The third day, He triumphantly rose
One day we'll all be carried
To join Him because we chose

To believe in Him as Savior
As proclaimed in God's own Word
To live with Him forever
I pray that you have heard

How He'll come for us in glory
To live with Him in splendor above
So tell others the wondrous story
Of Jesus and His love

That others on this Easter morning
May know Him as we do
So they too will have the joy of joining
In eternity with me and with you

This Perfect Day

Friday had been the saddest day
That my young life had ever known
The loneliness that my heart felt
Just would not leave me alone

The clouds that filled the afternoon
With their darkness and their dread
Left remorseful feelings alive inside
Along with feelings that seemed so dead

On Saturday when I did awaken
My world was much worse it seemed
For the gloom and darkness it embraced
Left my mind aloof in sad daydreams

Of what my eyes had seen to transpire
On that dark, cold Friday afternoon
I only prayed and hope what was written
Would come to fruition so very soon

As the last twenty four hours ticked away
The hope in my heart did begin to rise
For it began to beat so steady again
Waiting for the prophesied moment to arrive

But many in the room praying around me
Saw their faith begin to slip and fade
Not believing that what was happening
Would be much more than just another day

My heart awaiting the time to come closer
Anticipating the joy it would soon receive
Felt the rhythms of the approaching moment
For deep within it never failed to believe

I heard the most beautiful enchanting melodies
Embracing me from deep within His tomb
And upon hearing the hearty voices of angels
I sensed He would be rising so very soon

And the last twenty four hours did finally end
Sweeping my sadness and loneliness away
Replacing it with pure joy, and happiness
For He rose from the grave on a perfect day.

The Blood Of JESUS

The Blood of Jesus saved my soul
The Blood of Jesus
Made me whole.

The Blood of Jesus is
The means by which
I have become truly Rich.
I speak not of mere material things
But the Hope of Glory which it brings.

As we think of His Blood,
Let us not forget the Man,
Nor fail to realize that He has
A Master Plan.

For us He has made the Ultimate Sacrifice,
And now, it is only fair for us to give him
Our lives.

There really is no doubt about it,
He is in control,
And He also has the power
To make you whole.

So won’t you seek him out
Today?
He is sure to set your life
On the upward way.

THE MEANING OF EASTER

Chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs,
Fluffy chicks and lambs at play,
The spring of the year is a beautiful time,
And we celebrate as the time draws nigh,

To remember the reason for all our good cheer;
For now is the time The Resurrection draws near.
We celebrate Jesus who conquered the foe,
Of Sin and Death and delivered our souls,

Up from the abyss where we languished in wait,
Beneath the burden of unspeakable hate.
He marched into Hell and in triumph brought out,
All who are His and they came with a shout;

Victory is ours because Jesus lives,
He's salvaged our souls and He's cleansed and forgives,
All who will come to Him, on us He bestows,
A robe of His Righteousnesss as it was foretold!

We honor the Sacrifice made by Father and Son,
And we honor the love that redeemed us as one.
We celebrate the Victory won over our foe.
We celebrate Jesus, our Conquering Hero.

"BUT I AM TELLING YOU THIS STRANGE AND WONDERFUL SECRET;
WE SHALL NOT ALL DIE, BUT WE SHALL ALL BE GIVEN NEW BODIES.
IT WILL ALL HAPPEN IN A MOMENT, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, WHEN THE TRUMPET IS BLOWN; FOR THERE WILL BE A TRUMPET BLAST FROM THE SKY AND ALL CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE DIED WILL COME ALIVE WITH NEW BODIES THAT WILL NEVER DIE.
AND THEN WE WHO ARE STILL ALIVE WILL SUDDENLY HAVE NEW BODIES TOO FOR OUR EARTHLY BODIES WE HAVE NOW THAT CAN DIE MUST BE TRANSFORMED INTO HEAVENLY BODIES THAT CAN NOT PERISH . WHEN THAT HAPPENS THEN AT LAST THIS SCRIPTURE WILL COME TRUE,"DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY. O DEATH WHERE IS THY VICTORY? WHERE IS THY STING? FOR SIN, THE STING THAT CAUSES DEATH IS GONE AND THE LAW WHICH REVEALS OUR SIN WILL NO LONGER BE OUR JUDGE. HOW WE THANK GOD FOR ALL OF THIS. IT IS HE WHO MAKES US VICTORIOUS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

The Unknown Gardener

“I’m the unknown gardener my name is mentioned in the bible, but no one need honor me.
Just a pauper, I was in the garden that day, but my only contribution to grace works was filthy
rags.

Hearing a rumbling it seemed from deep inside the ground, I looked toward a tomb which had a
huge stone place over it’s mouth. As I looked I saw a steady lighting flashing, so bright it
dimmed my sight, emitting from the tomb around the rock’s edges.

The lighting stopped as suddenly as it had began, as once more I heard a scrubbing noise and
saw two celestial beings in shining apparel, as they rolled the huge stone away from the mouth
of the sepulcher. I was amazed, made weak in the knees, my countenance was overcome.

One of the celestial being said, “Fear not I am Michael, the archangel, I came to attend the
Master. This day thou also hath somewhat to offer unto him.” I wondered, amazed within myself
as I pondered in my feeble mind, ‘What on earth could a meager pauper have of worth to
give!’

A beautiful being stepped forth from the tomb, such the like I have never before seen or after!
When he spoke his voice was as the sound of many waters, such as a gently rushing water
fall. He said, “Behold I am the first, and the last, I was alive and was dead, and now I am alive
for evermore. It is finished!”…The two angels, I saw no more.

“Thy name is called Ishmael, born after the flesh, I have heard thy afflictions. This day it
behooves thee to be a signet necessity of my Father’s will, representing all of mankind,
for their righteousness of concepts be as fifty rags. Give unto me thy clothes and I will
cleans them for thy are metaphoric of the fleshly unrighteousness of all humankind.”

I gave him my clothes and I understood not, but I felt amazingly clean. He clothed
himself with my clothes and said, “Remember this day, for flesh will prophesy this truth in the
last days. In an inspirational writing that I will give thee utterance to write. You will entitle
it, ‘The Unknown Gardener’ then you will understand the signet!”

With this, He vanished from my presence. This same day has became know as Easter morning, the day of resurrection.
And the fleshly concepts of sin as the casting off of filthy rags! My natural senses returned and I arose from the vision.
I was astonished for seven days. At the end of which I wrote the understanding of the vision. This is what Easter means to me!

An Easter Vision

You suddenly appeared to me Jesus.
You were sitting in the lotus position
in your raiment of colorful robes. . .levitating.
Your wavy long locks had turned grey.
You did not speak to me, you just
looked at me with your kindest eyes
and raised a cup in my honor and
then you vanished like a specter into the
sun splashed day leaving me shaken
in wonder and contemplation.

I have endeavored arduously to decipher
that vision, that day-dream that felt so surreal.
What message were you trying to communicate?
Was your silent toast meant to convey that
you feel I am walking down the right path?
If only I could have spoken to you before
you vanished I would have asked how I could
serve you better, and I would have devoutly
honored you with my soft tears of joy.

I can still see your hair lifted by that gentle breeze
near the verdant grasses encircled by tall pines.
Did you appear in this natural serene setting
because it is where I feel closest to you?
It seemed so natural for you to be floating and
not standing with your feet on the earth below.
In disbelief, I wonder if I conjured your image
out of a desperate need to reinforce my faith in you?
Yet I have always deeply felt your presence without
ever seeing you manifested in physical form
encompassed by your aura of glorious golden light.

I am always asking heaven's angels for their
protection and guidance with my daily life.
Maybe you appeared to me so that I would know
you are also just a prayer away? I do know that,
beloved, and should you ever visit me again I would
just bow my head to express my gratitude
for all you have done to save humanity and for
all the love you bestow on each of us in
teaching us to love one another as we love you.
This is an Easter awakening I will never forget!

God Bless all my poetry friends this Easter and always.

The Risen Christ

There is no greater Love than His
There is no greater Name than His
There is no greater sacrifice than His
There is no greater devotion than His

Let it be known to Man
That the Holy Father had a plan
That He should send His only Son
For our life eternal and to be as one

They pronounced him King with a crown of thorns
As men watched with devilish horns
The Blessed Mother could not stand to bare
As they crucified her son with a heavenly stare

Oh Father forgive them
For they not know what they do
The Lamb is sacrificed
The Angels mourn as they fly through

The Risen Christ is now at His Throne
As we celebrate with great atone
He awaits His Bride in Heaven’s realm
As we praise his Name we overwhelm.

An Empty Tomb

An Empty Tomb An Empty Tomb Gives us hope for the future An act of God Not a freak of nature When the stone was rolled away By angels unseen Christ stepped into the light From the darkness where He’d been. This Empty Tomb Reminds man of God’s love His sacrifice for us all From His Sanctuary above Each one has the hope Of life eternal Reconciliation with God At last will be factual. The hope of this world Hinges on this Empty Tomb For had Christ not risen We’d all have been doomed. But all heaven rejoiced On that Sunday morn, When the existence of sin Was finally scorned. Mohammed still lies Entombed in a grave Buddha too has not risen— Remains in the earth enclaved. Christ is the only one, Who rose to live again. Eternal life the victory— Changed in a moment then. So when you’re told, “He was only a prophet.” There’s no wisdom, Regarding the wedding banquet; No acknowledgment of a tomb— An Empty Tomb in Israel, Where evil was conquered, Because Christ did not fail! This Empty Tomb reminds us, We have hope for a future, When we heed Christ’s call For He is the only answer. A Poem For You

Everytime I bring forth your image
From deep within the well of my mind
My heart begins shedding joyous tears
For your beautiful love that's mine

I can never escape feeling all the emotions
For they seem to overwhelm me each day
But just like the very first time I embraced you
The raging passion of my love will always stay

I was blessed the day you embraced me
That first moment you became my friend
And ever since your spirit held me close
My life changed as I was truly born again

You have never forsaken me a single day
Of the spiritual things which in life I need
And I love those very special moments
When your living word we together read

While I lift up my song of sweet love to you
Your daily showers of heaven's joy begins
I humbly thank you for giving your life's blood
A perfect Easter sacrifice to forgive all our sins.

A walk to the Cross

When Jesus walked to Calvary,
He fell many times along the way,
His heavy load caused Him to stumble,
Are we too proud to be so humble?

Our life is our walk to Calvary,
We also will fall along the way,
Our load is worry, fear and hate,
Do we deserve to reach the Golden Gate?

All His life Jesus did nought but good,
We would do the same if only we could,
If only we could embrace His way,
Our faith would grow stronger each passing day.

For forty days in the wilderness,
Satan watched to see Him transgress,
He never did, to His Father he was true,
Oh; this could happen to me and to you.

God loves us so much, that He gave up His son,
Who died for us in a terrible way,
Our sins, on His back, he bore that day,
God couldn't watch, He turned away.

Jesus died and was laid in a tomb of stone,
For three days, but not alone, did He lay
Angels watched o'er Him day and night
On the third day the stone was rolled away.

Jesus was risen on that Easter morn'
His grave clothes were left for all to see,
Death was defeated and Satan cried,
I have been beaten, my prize denied.

What Jesus did all those centuries past,
Was to set us free from his clutches at last.
Now we can live our lives the Jesus way,
The Cross stands forever, pointing the way.

Now, Satan can test us, try all he might,
But Jesus protects us, both day and night,
Satan will always be there on our shoulder,
But Jesus' love just makes us bolder.

I don't know about you, but as for me,
I'll take my walk to Calvary,
I'll bear the scars of Satan's attack,
But I'll be ready when Jesus comes back.

What Easter Means to Me

A life predestined, foretold by prophets-
Jesus’ fate was sealed: sacrificed life
that we could have the same everlasting.
Betrayed by a kiss for silver pieces,
three times denied by Peter – ‘don’t know him!’
Enemies awaited in the Garden,
abused and scorned and accused of blasphemy.
Sent to Pilate who questioned – ‘he’s done no crime!’
Crowd cried crucify him! - Pilate soon appeased.
Scourged till bloody, excruciating pain –
nailed to a cross through feet and hands
liked a common criminal though not guilty.
Passers-by ridiculed, shouted insults.
He called ‘Father, why have you forsaken me?’
Prayed for his tormentors, a robber, too.
Darkness descended midday, like midnight –
foreshadowing Jesus’ death impending –
catalyst – Redeemer of human life.
Three agonizing hours passed: Jesus cried
‘into Thy hands, I commit my spirit’ then died.
A spear pierced His side – blood and water flowed
washes away all our sins eternally.

Fall's Begining

Fall's Beginning

The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
Crinolines on horizon with gown
Early zephry cool and air wrung dry
The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
A start to a wonderful day birds cry
Leaves in places now caramel brown
The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
Crinolines on horizon with gown

by~Poet Destroyer

We walk the green fern garden range!
We sit and stare and tease our eyes!
Emotions flow with my Easter dress so strange;
Easter morn vocals came within range!
We're dancing, like leaves that rearrange!
I twirl my gown to fly with the skies.
Angel dust travels swiftly in the open range.
Clouds fall so vividly on my gown like crinolines disguise!

Death, Hell and the Grave Defeated

Death, Hell and the Grave Defeated "I will ransom them from the power of the grave ; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction?" Hos 13:14 NIV Death, hell and the grave Were defeated at the cross, Although Christ's life appeared a failure; No possible gain just loss. This is where death lost its victory; Resurrection made possible. Just as Christ was resurrected; Called forth by God’s heavenly angel. Christ raised not a hand to resist The evil powers at his side. Without His total surrender, Death’s grave would forever reside. The cross was perceived as failure, But it was victory instead. For that was the world's perception Of our Savior’s bloodshed. Death, hell and the grave Have been defeated for some time. Although death persists, The righteous find their Spring time. Christ will soon come To call them from their graves; Take them home to heaven; Where sin no more enslaves. Death Where is Thy Sting

Death where is thy sting, Oh grave where is thy victory?

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
The Bible tells us this in the book of Psalms, Chapter 116, verse 15.
As a clear picture it paints.

Everyone looks at death in a different way
Some believe that death is an end to all existence, so they say.

Christians believe that death will bring them from one life on this sod.
To a life of Heavenly bliss with their Eternal God.

In other words to be absent from the body,
is to be present with the Lord God Almighty.

When someone dies, we should realize that they will only be absent for awhile.
Then remember our hope and be happy and smile.

For they have fought their battle already anyway
And no longer on this sinful earth do they have to stay.

Remember that Jesus conquered death at Easter time.
That He chose to die to save all of mankind.

But death didn't keep Him in the tomb you see.
He conquered it and rose the third day to set us free.

As in Adam all men shall die. even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death and then we will all thrive!!!!!!!
