Bio in Short

It's been a good run
To the back side of sixty,
The short side of time.

First Hollywood kiss
Behind a pink crepe myrtle.
Thanks, Patsy Werner.

High school was okay.
Didn't help me to focus;
So, my mind wandered.

Surfed Bonzai Pipeline,
Big waves break into lava.
What made me do it?

Vietnam jungles.
I wondered why I was there.
America lost.

Smoking pot. Stereo.
Good fun in the seventies.
Psychedelics too.

And three wives later,
I finally found true love.
We're still together.

My destitute heart,
Saved by the sweetest angel.
I love you, Sandy.

Sooners are my team.
Most winning football program
In the Modern Era.

I am retired now.
But I have plenty to do.
Golf, primarily.

I've been writing more.
Perhaps I will write a book.
I have many tales.

I'd chase young girls; but,
Girls with a "grampa" fetish
Are so hard to find.

If I am lucky,
I will just drop dead one day.
With my peace of mind.

Yes, made a good run
To the back side of sixty,
The short side of time.

God's War

Evil all around
Wicked encircle the good
God sends his angels

Prince of peace arrives
Fiery flames from heaven
All armies destroyed

Tanks guns and missiles
Broken to bits and pieces
Strewn about the earth

Human rule ended
Kingdom of heaven prevails
Righteous ones remain.

Star Wars Rebellion haiku stream

Star Wars Rebellion:
A galactic game of Risk—
Empire/Alliance.

Alliance Leaders:
Luke Skywalker, Han Solo,
Leia, Mon Mothma.

Young Luke Skywalker
Has to confront Darth Vader,
Becomes Jedi Knight.

Han Solo pilots
The Millenium Falcon
With friend Chewbaca.

Leia Organa:
Very strong diplomat,
Potential Jedi.

President Mothma:
The rebellion’s heart and soul,
Great at recruiting.

Rebel advantage:
They are able to move their
Secret Headquarters.

Imperial Leaders:
The Emperor Palpatine,
Dark Lord Darth Vader.

Evil Palpatine,
A.K.A. Darth Sidius,
Dark Lord of the Sith.

Apprentice Vader
Was Annakin skywalker,
Seduced by dark side.

Control production,
Build mines and refineries,
Fight for resources.

The construction yards
Are used to build everything.
Must be defended!

To create armies,
Need training facilities.
Must be defended!

To build more starships,
Build or capture space stations.
Must be defended!

Special characters:
Assassins, Spies, Commandos,
And Infiltrators.

Planet resources
Gained by colonization,
Diplomacy, conquest.

To gain VICTORY:
Capture/destroy headquarters,
Capture the leaders.

Idealogies?
What’s the real goal of all wars?
Control resources!

REIGN OF PEACE

REIGN OF PEACE

Oceans filled with tears
Shed by the angels weeping
For souls fell in war

Fill our hearts with love
Making war capitulate
Peace forever reigns

                                                  deployed this morning --
                                                   will this war ever end?

Victoria Anderson-Throop
Nairobi, Kenya
November 26, 2012

Note: Political unrest near Nairobi, Kenya due to election strategies. Polish nun told me that she was warned by a local moonshine runner to hide. Too late. She was pistol whipped by local police who wanted more protection money. Didn’t get the money (it was a free clinic, so nurses had no money) Police beat the nurse/nuns and absconded with the very rare and precious AIDS meds to sell to the hospitals.Free AIDS clinic was forced to close.(Kenyan government does not have free health care for the poor) Nuns are recovering then being transferred to other clinics. Three went back to Europe forced into early medical retirement due to permanent injuries sustained by police and/looters. The care program(education and/or placement) for the children whose parents were AIDS patients is gone. Children have taken to the streets in desperation. Count your blessings.

Genocide

Genocide

By Immaculata Ortner

     We fought! But in vain!
We stretched, but our top was so high
Our ground trembled as tears of our gods flooded our land

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.
Nevermore.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.
Forever.

Samurai Song, Haiku

delicate blossom
rests in the still gnarled hand
bruised petals weep tears

weary eyes open
tiny cuts, the body bleeds
peace still years away

sun rise breaks the hill
heralds another battle
draw your sword and charge

Enlightenment---The Story Teller

a book about war
lays ignored upon the desk...
at the door, a guest

with far-away eyes,
an old man has cleared his throat...
anticipation

the soft, but wise voice
fills the huge room with black words...
dust motes glitter bright

afternoon shadows
emphasize a wrinkled brow...
sun silvers his hair

the word "halocaust"
fills dark corners of the room...
tears shine in young eyes

a story unfolds
and hours turn into years---
new enlightenment
