Living Seasons Through

Bodies together
Pressed against the cold, harsh night
We hold on to love

In the sweet, soft spring
We lay on a tall, steep hill
And hold on to love

Summer's baking heat
Hiding in the shade of trees
Still holding our love

The leaves are falling
Crunching beneath our footsteps
Forever, our love

We'll last through seasons
Enjoy our love together
Just you wait, my love.

In the rain

Beyond the distance
becomes the drops of mistle;
beloved existence.

her verse and songs fly
where flowers blossom splendid;
fiancée oaths reply.
.................

Her lone figure stands -
she spreads her hands out to reach
the fields of far lands.

Conceived caress on hair
unending oceanic paths -
her eyes upwards stare.
..................

On boat's seaward trail -
pure mistle she loved amidst
mizzen and main sail.

I kiss her smile in rain -
approaches in dusk conceived
spelling our refrain.

THE LANDSCAPE'S STILLNESS

Discolored meadow
overtaken by swollen clouds,
comfort the wild tree...

Are there blue mountains
beyond the unfrequented prairie?
Find the horizon...

No cowboys on horses;
no coffee brewing on logs,
while they are singing...

Late Fall scenery,
not yet conquered by deep snow,
make this day dazzle...

Hungry spiders crawl
with a despised, changeless pace;
the coyotes howl...

Frightened by those sounds,
I feed more logs to the fire,
to shun strange vibes...

Seeing that sun blaze
over the landscape's stillness,
I begin to dream...

Mistress Of The Sea

                                  Song of the waves beckon
the heart calleth, deep unto deep
                                captive mistress of the sea

This poem is dedicated to the fisrt time I saw
the ocean. I watched the sun rise over the Alantic Ocean.
I remember I stood there looking over the ocean,
and it seemed as though the whole world held its breath,
and then the sun came up! I was her captive from that moment.

Seashore Symphony

As fiddler crabs play There’s no music in the air Ugly eyes just stare Gulls in perfect flight Bring the music to the night Moonlight plays its part Dolphins come around And they lend their perfect sound Music time is near Maestro needed now Sounds need direction somehow Errant tones comply Sounds that do not blend Are now blocked by friendly wind Unity now reigns Masters touch is here Softens harshness to the ear Song is written now Blessed voices play As rhythmic surf shows the way Sweet repose is near. THE SPRING NORTH SEA HURRICANE

                         THE SPRING NORTH SEA HURRICANE

Pussy willow slyly licked her paws
                          While heartless winds
Battered haughty ships into the sea

At Wick's End

Candles in rock pool...
Water like the deepest sea...
A stirring began.

Two hearts turn to flesh.
Angelic auras ignite
Infatuation.

Silent, holding hands...
Yet full of words afterwards
Sent in love letters

With upside down stamps,
Scented poetry pages
Drip unfailing love.

Charismatic speech,
Uncommon romantic deeds
And fantasies bloom.

Unconditional
Promises prematurely
Penned with shallow love

Melt souls like soft wax.
Formless objects of desire
At wick end's dead flames

Reveal the candles'
Mistaken identities-
"I thought I knew you's".

Reality lights
On the still, stagnant pool with
Ripples of "you said's".

Glowing nimbuses
Form the rolling thunderheads
And vapors of rain.

Soft shoulders turn cold.
Tongues set on fire with Hell's rage
Turn indifferent.

Two hearts become stone,
And the first visitation
Evokes hurt and hate.

Endangered peace talks
Precede a trail of tears to
Extinct promises

In boxed up letters
Rubber banded together
In a hidden place.

A SHIMMERING LUSTER

In spring sunlight won't
penetrate the dense forest,
while the redwoods grieve...

Their flat, sharp leaves are
dull, a shimmering luster
gives them full life again...

The oaks suffocate,
their new branches can't spread out:
their wish suppressed...

Moss-covered hemlocks
thrive, clinging to a vain hope:
no birds' song they hear...

Forests confine lakes,
embellishing their lush landscapes:
shading eagles' nests...

The cherry birches
have a shimmering luster,
they droop before dusk...

in sunny Capri.

Giant Cyclops settled here,
and fishermen still fear them...
legends become real.

Mermaids sing with lyre,
luring them in your cold deep...
as images appear.

The Beach

- Summer Daze
Warm sun is shining,
Salt air cleanses my senses…
Counting grains of sand.

- The Coming
Fresh breeze on my face,
Rushing waves breaking over…
Non-descript foot prints.

- Uneasy Perspective
Restless is my soul,
Birds flying to field’s inland…
Storm shutters are closed.

- Awakening
Hazy dreams surface,
Renewal of faith begins…
Take out the garbage.

...(Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring)

To Fold a Season

O pen up soft eyes,
to winter's frigid white tears
and the angel's veil.

R elief dances wild
in each clean, rebellious flake,
blessing the night crease.

I vory stars kiss
heaven's violet canvas,
a glistening sheet.

G litter: a new life
in which the paper crane flies,
bathed in vernal dew.

A zaleas now bloom
alongside Her majesty,
pressed gently at side.

M orning star does smile,
its tender, gold, shining edge:
sprouting merriment.

I t is the rhythm,
when winter bends into spring;
to fold a season...
