golden dreams - haiku contest

burnished golden dreams
hide the ravages of time ...
on desires worn path

How Fast it Dries

the jaguar's tear
slides off his single whisker
clouds do sigh

three offspring
dragged into the river's teeth
one remains

they both stretch
the moment of sorrow lost
life leaps on

I bled myself dry
because of you slaughtered, drained
exsanguinated

I WANDER ABOUT

I wander about
like a fish out of water
in the surf blue sea

Me a traveler
in the congress of gray rocks
where carcajous howl

A vacant lot mind
wavered in the breeze empty
land soul never rests

Heart sighs seeks haven
warm breasts of the beloved
in my country home

I see the river
boatmen singing love ballad
flows out of water

my finest moment
washed away with white satin
nightmare from heaven

**Bleeding Love**

dreams never revealed
swimming in a pool of blood
dark clouds forever

**Eclipse with tears**
************************
Dark Crystal Lightning
blue skies, deep watercolors
over the rainbow

**Gods Punishment**

useless way of life
40 days and 40 nights
grave yard promises

No one at the window

Drapeless window cries
Laughter turns to emptiness
U-Haul moves our lives...

buried secrets

where the seagull dies
stringless origami cries
loneliness of soul

koi fish suffocate
colors fade in Bonsai trees
island in distress

words not understood
shadows grin tricks on rice walls
tsunamis in eyes

geisha of the world
love is lost in illusions
freedom is her dream

men with cold fingers
whither blossom of her spring
harakiri end

in the seagull's grave
origami secrets kept
chicks learn how to fly

a day of dark rain

a foreboding sound

          echoes in a thunderstorm....

                   mourners at a grave
                               --

                   a torrent of rain

           muffles the sound of crying....

watching crows scatter

                              --
one wet crow hunches

on branch of the brittle oak....

                  dark clouds hover low

The Lost

                                                Innocent lifeless
                                       Pretty children rest in peace
                                             Let us pray for them

                                            The kids were victims
                                       The shooter was victim too
                                             Let's not put a blame

                                                 Exclamation sign
                                          Love family, love it right
                                        Don't loose, hug them tight

                                                  Dear educators
Part of the victims as well
                                               The lifetime tribute

                                           Mourn traveled the world
Burn by cause last on effect
                                               Careful in our steps

In The Rain

by Michael J Falotico

                                                 I cry in the rain..
tasting the salt on my lips..
                                             no one sees the pain..

Heaven Crying

March 13 2011

                                         a small drop of rain..
all alone falls on my hand..
                                       its taste has some pain..

                                         several more splash..
                                     now I'm covered in sorrow..
                                            its Heaven crying..

Juxtaposition of Me and the Willow Tree

          Like the willow tree,
I'm of narrow, slender twigs.
                    Thin and sad- we are.
