Connecting Genius and Madness

* Written for Elly's "At Least Three Proverbs and One Quote Contest" (Modified Haiku with rhyme)

Aristotle quote: “There was never a genius without a tincture of madness.”

American Proverbs
Edgar Allen Poe: “I remained too much inside my head; I ended up losing my mind.”
Robin Williams: “You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it”
Marilyn Monroe: “Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius.”

can genius be found
if you fail to look around
     head buried in ground

to stay in my mind
others may think I am blind
     label me maligned

welcome is madness
if you believe it’s genius
     and make others guess

shall I cling to it
this madness, every last bit
    to genius commit

imperfection reigns
for people who play mind games
    desiring acclaims

I must not lose this
ties to poetic genius
     deep in mind’s abyss

*Written October 4, 2014

REAPING SEX a simple note

     REAPING SEX a simple note

If you wink an eye
At Fame’s restless lonely mate—
Prepare for a storm

Recall

Hushed, quiet and still
the forest revives my soul
   I remember me.

Misjudged

Standing still head's up
Retrospect greatest pitfalls
Mass consciousness whim

Wandering till dawn
Waiting brave for the result
Less breathe heartless beat

Until the mind soar
Now is inexplicable
Sufferings indeed

People grim anew
For the best of all Juries
Render canny nod

Continued service
Captivated voter's wit
Last laugh never ends.

A Season lost

The season I lost A season which can't be found The past, never came Another season Approaching my vision now I cannot miss it This time, I will know The experience I'll gain from this new season If I miss this chance I will lose my fall feeling and the love I had The experience my experience will last if i hold my sight I blinked and it left the love I had left my heart the season has passed

A thought arises

A thought arises
Sunlight heralds a new day
Both fade into dark

Inspired by Raul's Awaiting the Dawn contest

Being One

Glitters spread all over
Seeking reflections amidst
becoming steadfast

Long lost better half
Reunite even afar
Sharing out fragments

Standing still staring
Beyond space and time searching
A spark that mislead

Now after decades
Attracting as one fellow
When moments unfold.

Wish you were here

Canopy of trees
trying to cross sky limit....
green revolution

a distant river
lying naked lazily....
an enticing call

the old learned stones
whispering me history ....
wish you were here now

Silence

Silence can deceive
One's quiet to understand
Another to destroy

It is now

Ain't a word, you said.
but it takes a daring gust
for things start to be.
