STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

Now my tendrilled soul,
Has found its pergola-- Christ--
To wind its way up....

Seven Stones Seven Rocks Seven Sands

I have a small gray rock placed by my bed
Each day it is the first thing which I see.
It stands on guard and watches over me.
Alone a gray, smooth rock, it stands on guard
Well weathered, polished stone, from wind-blown sand.
It was wind-blown and lost in dust of time.
I found this stone near covered with such sand.
It had lain lost, I think, since time began.
Without another rock to call a friend.
There was no other rock, one stone alone.
The God of sand, I may well keep this thought.
No other stone to judge its size I found.
I thought at first it was a grain of sand
One stone alone, in all this sand and lost.
This stone would save me form this sea of sand.
My guarding rock this rock became my friend.
My rock I love and loves me back, my stone.
It sits, it guards me, guards me from the thought--
I am alone in all this sea of sand.

Ever Turning Circle

In winter’s white, as angels cry
for early spring to warm the wind,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned.

For early spring to warm the wind,
at Valentine’s romantic calls,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls.

At Valentine’s romantic calls,
rebirth of nature’s light divine,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls,
and blossoms pastel shades recline.

Rebirth of nature’s light divine,
when day equals the hours of night,
and blossoms pastel shades recline,
to hail the queen of May in light.

When day equals the hours of night,
a summer’s sun will come to play,
to hail the queen of May in light,
we chant and sing along the way.

A summer’s sun will come to play,
so life can grow as gods decreed,
we chant and sing along the way,
with warmth and light our hunger feed.

So life can grow as gods decreed,
the rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
with warmth and light our hunger feed,
the wealth of harvest is our own.

The rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
in autumn breeze that chills the heat,
the wealth of harvest is our own,
as gold and red belies our feet.

In autumn breeze that chills the heat,
a year that ends with blessed Samhain,
as gold and red belies our feet,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign.

A year that ends with blessed Samhain,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign,
in winter’s white, as angels cry.

Sea of Love

In this stormy sea that we call life, you calm the waters.

As I drifted along you cushioned each blow that I received.

In the mist of each storm, your light guided me to shelter.

When I was drowning in iniquity, you bathed me with salvation.

When the water became polluted you cleansed it with your blood.

When I floated out to sea, you anchored me with your love.

At times the currant was so strong, it pulled me underneath.

You wrapped your arm around me and held my head afloat.

Through each trial and tribulation, your waves washed me ashore.

You were my life preserver in a sea of lies and deception.

As you gave me the water of life, My Lord, I gladly give you mine.

Untie The Knot This Christmas

Untie the knot this Christmas,
Have a look inside
At the gift you have been given,
It may be to 'cool' to hide!

Undo the layers of wrapping,
Find out what's hidden there.
Be careful how you open it;
It says, "Handle with care."

Unto you this gift is given,
It's stamped 'FROM GOD ABOVE'.
He sends this blessed present,
With unrequisite love.

Understand there is no motive.
This gift is free indeed.
It's given to each person,
Who truly has a need.

Unlock your heart this Christmas,
Let peace and joy flow through.
Then Christmas will be special;
Especially for you!!

Beyond My Mind

Blue or green? The color of the sea, Going up and down the waves, To be my unexpected mood, Sweet or sour the feeling of me. The question of my mind hitting it through the divine, The passion of art inside a deep mind, With full of imaginations, Hitting me through left and right. Perspective comes along with me, Seeing it in my mind, Looking at the blank paper, My emotions run down the pages, Forgetting my visions along, Looking down on paper, Loosing my focus , Is getting hard to draw. Speaking with my wild heart wide open, Thinking of the world we live in today, Standing amongst the people not knowing what to say, Hearing the music flowing into my ears, Beating myself inside these walls of hate, Wanting my eyes to cry with full of tears, Hating to be on this earth, Seeing people fade away, Sinking through lies in my face, Stabbing me in the back when I need them the most, Seeing people with unwanted faith through their eyes, Anger comes my way, Looking down at the world with full of questions in my head, Going crazy with frustration and confusion of me questioning God, Deep inside my heart is burning with poison, Is breaking me apart like glass, At peace without a path in mind, Falling down somewhere here that I never belong, I'm not perfect yet, I like to lead not to follow others. Life is like a tree that grows inside me, Leafs on the tree come and go like people in my life, Taking the road of life, Things can change in a minute, When I look away, My goals would fade away, Going back letting noting stand on my way, Trying harder to focus on my goals, Looking around with a smile on, Reaching my goals slowly without a distraction.

A Blessed Sailor Be

It was a good sailor God blessed me be.
In me veins be sea salts me heart pumps through.
I'le pray me Good Lord shall look after me

on dire crossing from port, to seas anew.
I'le trade not me fate to no man nor tide
in me marrow, sea brine me heart pumps through.

Me sheet be made fast to draft leeward side,
but this breeze too tight, for me ship to stand
yet I'le trade me fate to no man nor tide,

not to work a poor shop or plow on land
but sail this sea and a good sailor be.
This gale be too fat for her sail to stand.

A main mast crack, to be an end to me
to the bottom me ship and I'le may go
but fight this sea and a good sailor be,

it is all I've asked and enough to know.
It was a good sailor God tends me be
so be sea bottom me ship and I'le go,
even there me Good Lord looks after me.

The Winds of the Night

The winds of the night creep in on you and they are up and about.
They surround you in the darkness and shed you into some light.
They are given and they are taken with your most silent thoughts.
They pass through your hidden fears and come from plain sight.
The winds of the night so clever and discreet they really are.
They hold no boundaries to your beginning and nor to your end.
They are warm and they are cold rising above you and reaching up from far.
They are of their own power and hold onto all claims of their own.
The winds of the night come sending a message to the unknown.
The winds of the night are aimless but when directed they drift all together.
They are dangerous when calm at night a sight not even one has really seen.
They are unsettled with no balance yet predictable by where they all concur.
They capture what is felt and heard because they’re accepted as they’re deemed.
The winds of the night come and go for they are on a lifelong mission.
They are silent within your journey for they can not be spoken to or touched.
They exist for your life bringing the world into its final rule on deception.
The winds of the night carry enough strength to lead a massive world into the unjust!

Denial

Being in denial is like sitting in an empty house,
with a moonlit forest behind it.

Coming out of denial is the new bird,
that comes and stays a while, with that little
empty house, but when winter comes,
he is off on a journey from the heavens above.

Home Harbor

Beyond this space called here and now where hopes are often lost;
Across the seething sea of time where dreams are tempest tossed,
There lies a haven well desired to gain at any cost;
To lie at anchor there will be worth all the waters crossed.

The port is gained by following a narrow path, we know.
Many ships have run aground on reefs of sin and woe.
Sound the waves and fathom out the deeps that lie below,
And guide your ship to safety, watching ever for the foe.

In that haven time will cease; the sea shall be as glass,
And all the evils known to man will in the depths be cast.
No parting and no weeping, heartaches, too, will pass
For joy will reign on every ship whose tow line is made fast.

Put forth all effort, then, to reach that harbor through the foam;
Cease seeking for the pleasure isles that call the soul to roam.
Mark the charts with vision clear by heaven's starry dome;
Make Christ your helmsman; through thickest fog He made that harbor home.

yellow dress

if i woke up from
on the kitchen table
and saw her standing
there at the fridge
pouring tomato juice
into her bloody mouth,
wearing nothing
but that yellow dress
she cut in half
last halloween after walking
to the river where she
said the most beautiful things
about dancing with the moon
right before throwing up
something black & fleshy-pink
on the rock where i was sitting,
& we walked back to eat
a fried egg standing
next to the stove where
she would light her cigarettes
swigging shady ladys, silently
listening to my developing dissatisfaction
& some sort of lingering love,
if she was here right now,
staring blankly at flies buzzing,
i wouldn't be surprised,
even if it has been three years since she died.

Harbor of Life

Though I sail this wretched sea of life
I do not sail alone
A higher force keeps guiding me
To lead me safely home

Though my sails are torn and battered
I travel on my quest
This sea of life keeps tossing me
But still, I do my best

While drifting through this endless sea
I keep looking for the light
My journey has almost ended now
To a land with no more night

While tired and weary, I carry on
I dare not turn away
I can almost see the lighthouse
I can not go astray

Lead me home, dear light I pray
This ship can sail no more
I cast anchor in the harbor of life
Upon that golden shore

Stranger

My heart egos and my life drained from me
Simple life I live, I act as I know all
But I know not, no, not even a little
I earnestly seek for recognitions
But my life and my heart is a hole.
An empty vessel, soulless, loveless

I have been succumb by the pain of heart aches
I have become a broken man,
Know not what my future holds
I envy those who went before me, who were acknowledge

I hold on to the little shred of hope in me,
I am being drowned by my own sorrows.
Love, hate, a new beginning and ending of my old self never seems to happen
My wrath against my enemies is nothing for they humor me with insults.
Let not death come to me in misery and despair,
For life is full of joy and full of sorrows.

Love me, as who would love a stranger from nowhere.
Let my sorrows be taken away by the love of many
But at last, no one would.
Don’t cry for me, for no one knows me
They came before my grave and said “who is this man?”
“Why is the name not written?”
It is not written because I am nothing
Don’t shed a tear for the stranger such as me.

Life is like a dream on a calm sea,
As the captain gracefully steer and gently moves its rudder.
The passenger puts their lives in his hands,
A calm sea is the heaven of any sailor.
“So, where is my captain?”
The wind blows every so gently,
But my heart sinks gently into the sea;
Who will mourn for the stranger?

Drowned from my grief,
My faith begins to waver like a ship tossed around by the winnowing wind
My heaven, my calm sea turns against me as I sail the Galilean sea
“Where are thy words that calm the raging storm?”
Ay! I have no peace even in my passing.
I have not thy words of command,
For my faith has been tossed away by the hating winds,
Shallow, empty, and broken I lay here in an unnamed grave.

Only thy mercy will guide me to the third heaven!
Let my sorrows be washed away by the blood of the innocent lamp.
Let thy words be the honey drops for mine,
As this world knows only lies
Blinded by greed and lust,
They seek only to destroy of what they fear.
And my sorrows are tossed away by thy promises.
For thy compassion for lost sheep is great.

"Have I found peace?"
I have, for I know my heart is at rest when my body has aged
And my salvation has come
When I died with thy Words of truth

The Social Norm

Drink the drink, and take the pills, lay on the medication.
But your soul's forever lost to them without persistent dedication.
There's things we've learned, and things we will, to decide us right from wrong.
But your ears are only open, now, to a techno-logic song.
Social norms have bound you tight, then cut you awf'ly deep.
And still your soul beneath the surface begs of you, relief.
You waded in their welcome waters, thought it nice and cool
But now I'm sure you've figured out you're lost in sorrows pool
So take it from who knows you best
Someone who has passed this test:

Before you drift out in the sea And the shore's no longer in your view, I promise that I'll bring you back And if I can't, I'll follow you. Before your legs and arms grow weak And you've passed your final tier, I promise that I'll hold your hand; I promise you I'll still be here. Before your lungs are filled with water And our souls are parted once again, I promise you that you're forgiven; I promise you I'm still your friend. Before you close your sunken eyes Inviting night to kill the day Know your bright was never slight And soon you'll see your way.

Wisdom Within

Blue hues crest to white waves on the water

Frail sailor seeks out a lighthouse beacon

No nightlight to guide her through the storm now

Shares prayers for God’s guidance through the darkness

Life’s strife is replaced by wisdom within

The Old Salt

The Old Salt was a special man who came along in a time
when he was needed most.

A time that is now gone forever.
When men believed and sacrificed, when hero’s walked the earth in mass.

When patriotism was not just a word
but,
by what men lived and judged the worth of each,
a man who lived a life most of us cannot comprehend.

An era now gone as this warriors tour of duty ends at this station,
and begins anew in the heavenly fleet.

Sail on Sailor into your unaccompanied tour,
we salute you.

What greater honor, that when a man moves forward,
he leaves behind in each of us the best of what he was.

A defender, protector, supporter, victor, a warrior,
the last of the breed from an era when ships were made of wood
and men were made of steel.

The Old Salt has reported for duty that takes him away from us for now.

Those of us who remain behind,
remember, and will continue to remember,
because he now resides forever in our hearts.

As I look up at night, I envision The Old Salt,
a beret draped just above the eye,
as he draws upon his pipe,
quietly he waits.
The guardian of heaven’s gate.

Distance

 To have friends across
an ocean, to feel the love
 like they're right next to
you. Every day I feel the
 devotion. We have never
met face to face, yet I can
picture a smiling face, I can
 can feel the warm embrace.
 Heartfelt emotion drawn
 from our spirits, love shines
from within us. On our journey
we go, put trust in our paths.
Have faith in its flow. One day
we shall meet and then we will
 know.

A Flow of Serenity

The Atlantic Ocean’s tide is ever flowing
I listen to it in my cottage by the sea
And at night so peacefully I sleep just knowing
I’ll hear it in the morning; it’s a guarantee

Few things in this life can be taken for granted
Perhaps only faith and nature’s constancy
But the sound of the sea is somewhat enchanted
Always offering a sense of serenity

I’ve chosen to dwell here for the rest of my days
It allows me to cast all my worries aside
There’s a hope in my heart these tides forever raise
A joy that erases every tear I have cried

The sea speaks of a power beyond that of man
A reminder that all things are part of God's plan

Glisten in the Moonlight

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

A Whale of a Tale

When the call of the Lord came to Jonah,
“set out for the great land of Nineveh!”
he was angry inside,
and decided to hide,
on a Tarshish bound ship leaving Joppa.

Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea,
ne’er a more violent storm could there be,
there on destiny’s brink,
the ship threatened to sink,
while, old Jonah, was below deck asleep.

Surely, each sailor’s heart fainted with fear,
as the ship they were unable to steer.
“Wake up, Jonah!” they cried,
“get thee quickly topside,
and fervently beg your God to draw near!”

Now, Jonah knew that this storm was for him,
as in his heart he remembered his sin,
he thought he was sunk,
when they gave him the dunk,
and had to choose whether to sink or to swim.

As soon as Jonah met up with the ocean,
Both the winds and the waves ceased commotion,
then along came a whale,
and old Jonah grew pale,
as it swallowed him up in one motion!

Three long days in that big fish he stayed,
vowing never again would he stray,
relieved not to be dead,
and with kelp on his head,
onto dry land, our dear Jonah was sprayed!

Please, allow me, now this moral to mention,
that when the Lord God gives thee direction,
you must not delay,
set out right away,
His good judgment you must never question.

Should by chance, you hear God’s voice compelling,
“ head thee out to Bangladesh or New Delhi,”
best get on the right boat,
and pray that it floats,
lest you end up kelp covered and smelly!

Sea Shanty

The sea gathered her voice
on the crest of the waves
as dark clouds were herded
by the wind as he raved
in a symphony orchestrated
through elements of sound
composed by the air
from his drafty compound.

By the drum of the surf
on the beat of the waves
a crescendo that climbed
with the sea as she raged
while the wind as the maestro
pulled pockets of sound
from the whistles and moans
as he swept ‘cross the ground.

Soprano! cried the killdeer
Tenor! screeched the gulls
as a baritone foghorn
boomed from the hull
of a ship that swayed
drunkenly atop of the surf
staying clear of the breakers
that crashed on the turf

The ship creaked a response
as it groaned a refrain
but the deft hand of a shipwright
would keep it sustained
for he’d hewn and he’d whittled
great emblems of love
carving an angel for the figurehead
and atop the masthead, a dove.

When the wind stopped his jostling
and the sea spent her ire
the ship slipped back to its haven
of warm hearths and bright fires
where the men mused and wondered
over great tankards of ale
if the hymns and hosannas..
had been but, the wind in the sails?

Junlado Maiden

Beneath sullied cloth, hastily covered
chain of seashells nestled
soundless, threads of an old story.
Your eyes, beneath lashes that catch
snow—I see the deep blue
sea of Junlado,
waves shining grey before the setting sun.
What are you doing here in the frozen north?
You came from seashores
cherry blossoms raining upon
your brown upturned face
dreaming of another world, you beautiful fool.
There is no other world when we
all suffer beneath endless winter.
Pity, a sweet face lined and streaked;
I watch it as you pour wine.
I, merely a wanderer
in rags, as we all are.
But I am strong, dear child.
Let me not see those purest tears
forming, unforming within
sinless eyes—
what are you doing here?
Go back
Go back to your land.
Swim, there, forget, in the bluegrey
Let joyful pearls make pure a salty sea.
We all suffer, but
you
at least
deserve to go back.

Fana: The Falling Away of the Falling Away

So much of life
Is like walking a beach all alone;
Where you began is lost in the white distance behind
Where you are headed a mystery as well.

We carry along two small bags of pretty pebbles
We gather along the way,
One for the joys
One for the troubles.

Both bags get a little heavier
The further we go.

Mostly it's a long silent walk
With a boundless sea whispering by our side
In a tongue too ancient for the rational mind.

But here and there we stop
And turn to gaze out over that sea,
     Fingering pebbles as we do.

And sometimes, if we're very lucky,
And we wait and listen long enough,
The whisperings begin to make sense
     And we become aware that
     An unseen Someone,
     A special Beloved,
     Has been pacing us all along;
That we have never been truly alone.

One must be careful not to turn too fast,
To try to see this Beloved,
Or they will vanish like a snowflake on the tongue.

The trick is to cast one's gaze deep into oneself;
Then the Beloved will appear, laughing at our cleverness,
And we shall see that our silent companion
Looks exactly like ourselves
As we appear in others' eyes.

And if we can bear to match the Beloved's gaze long enough,
They will vanish before us
And we will find ourselves gazing out over that sea with their eyes,
And see it as it truly is: dancing, infinite, eternal, perfect.

If we can do this but once,
We can open our bags and toss the pebbles into the sea,
     Even as we realize that sea as well is but a part of us;
We will understand its language of song and laughter,
     And disappear into everything joyfully
To the sound of our own
     Perfect and infinite

     Laughter

As the great whirling dance
Begins again.

WE ARE INDEPENDENCE!

We are Tausug Nation
Defending independence
Free from the enemies
Stood not to get oppressed

Our Nation ruled
Of the country’s independence
Never conquered from then
We shall develop our land

Our country, nation is known
Home of courageous person
Bound only in one faith
Never care of the death

Tumantangis, Dahu peaks of our land
To Bagsak, Sinumaan
And to all the mountains here
Only one God is aimed

Zamboanga, Basilan, North Borneo, Palawan
Centre is in Sulu land
Ruled by the Sultan
From the early point of time

Our nation is united
In the name of faith is complete
Only God is firm
Determined not to get conquered

Land of the pearl garden
Sulu Sea in the world is famous
From the South and North
And East and West

Blood of Martyrs flowed in the vein of the Sug Nation
Fought to defend
Flag rose like Vinta strip
Eternal pledge appeared

Crossing of the Red Sea

Crossing of the Red Sea Moses raised his rod, As God told Him to do. The Red Sea suddenly parted For the children of Israel to walk through. The great walls of water Stayed on either side by God’s power, Until all His people crossed Then the waters began to lower. Pharaoh’s army followed them Into the sea so deep. So when the waters lowered Many a widow did weep. All drowned by God’s power Not a trace to be found. The Israelites praised God; The desert echoed the sound. The crossing of the Red Sea— A type of water baptism. For the chosen of God Were shown great favoritism. Saved from the Passover And then the Red Sea depths, How could they turn to idols— God loved them at such lengths? Maybe we’re no different, Often take God for granted Accept His daily miracles No eternal life coveted. Remember the Red Sea crossing— God’s care for His wayward children. Ask for His forgiveness Graciously accept His loving pardon. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2008-2011 www.maureenlefanue.com

Idyll

I am lost
Basking in radiant eyes
Like the grass grows fonder
Bending to the sun's sultry cries
Undressing summer’s silhouette
Fall's blushing fingertips
Warmed by the naked thought
Of hope's supple lips
I am crushed
By heaven's downy gait
Rain’s rose petal toes
Caressing tantric throes
For my heart is adrift
Imbued by harmonic hues
Nature's idyllic shoes
Twirling her golden hand
I am cured
By laughter's contagious dare
Leering through lipstick hair
Strawberry tines
Tickling my helpless spine
Springtime invading
Passion parading
That which winter cannot bear
I can taste
The fruit of her fertile kiss
The nectar of blooming bliss
Like sweet wine suckled
From Eden’s weeping vine
The scent of a sacred sign
For only love's bounty
May find her

The Beach

What a magical place, the beach.
Where there is no need to sing and no need to look back to the regrets of each day.
Where we can silently listen to what it is the waves try to tell
Where the rocks serve as the cushion where we softly lay down each painful
memory, that even though they hurt we want to protect.
Where the past becomes jealous of the present.
Where we patiently await for the waves to carry away the message in a bottle to some
safe and nonexistent destination.

Yes, the beach, where the cool breeze caresses the stress and sadness off our faces
Where crying in the rain is over-rated
Where every tear drowns a memory
And the waves crash against the rocks as if beating an odd

Where there is no need to sing, do you hear the wind? Do you understand its melody?
Can you feel its strength undressing every inch of every scar time has tattooed in our
lives?
The beach and its wide space where you can hear the eco of your silence screaming into
the air whatever it is that makes you silently cry.
Where every ray of sun burns the unnecessary and painful thoughts that float into space.
Yes, the beach where the silence is invaded by the splendid rudeness of the wind
Where you can build a castle in the sand, be the queen/king, and rule the world.
Where we can freely unleashed the Black Stallion inside our spirits that we are forced to
imprison.
Where you see the future shine in the polychromatic coral reefs.
Where salt taste so sweet.
The beach where 5:00 A.M. is the precise time to live for an eternity and 6:00pm the
precise time to leave it all behind and start all over again.

Ride of the Daystar: Har - Magedon

A great tumult has occurred in the sea
agitated waves tussle and brawl in the sea

A sea, whose waters are parted,
parted by a swarming multitude of beasts, and one Great Beast

Beast, I advise you, there is a King, a Star in the Day
riding upon a white horse, Eminent and August

August and Purposed was His way
sword in hand, fetters in one

One, without uncertainly, He rode toward the sea
and with certainty His strike was dealt

Dealt, the waters were parted
by means of one blow all the beasts were smite

Smitten, all but one, the Lord of the beasts
the Daystar turned his strength to the Great Beast

The Beast, skilled and adept, was struck with one articulation
not with a song of death as its intent, but a rebuking

Rebuked, so it might not agitate the waters
fettered, so it could not provoke the sea

See now, the waters were parted
the bodies of which were two

Two parts, divided by the Daystar’s blow
one to the south and toward the north was one

One, agitated, heavy with salt, and broad as elapsed dreams
the North, tranquil and fresh. just adequate to chalice in the palms

Palms firm, the King turned His day heat to the south
and the waters evaporated, so that only pillars of salt remained

Remaining, the Daystar blessed his radiance on the North
with palms the King cupped the unsullied waters

Waters in hand He tossed them into the desiccated earth
and the waters revitalized the salted land in support of the King

And the King continued to shed light on the waters for a thousand years
for a millennium, the earth blossomed.

Blossomed for a time, a time, times five hundred times
after which, the fetters would be loosed

sky clear eyes surprise those
choosing to be consumed
by her entice

hands free of envy
no webs to spin
hips unmolested
thighs slick

be warned
she will divide you
no voodoo
or silly twisted games
though safe may escape you

blemish-less
untangled...
the girl
she
Goddess
baby of zero maybes
KNOWS....
how?
she knows

as clarity lent us its giant umbrella
her lipstick smacked my tongue
from there
we never looked back

Tell the Truth

Tell the truth

Shame the devil

Because he want you

Below sea level.

If something bothers you

You just know it's not right.

Stand firm and tell the truth.

Shame the devil.

The devil is already beneath you

Many many leagues below sea level.

A Prayer for the "Sailing Family"

Dear friends, I really don’t know you at all. In that vast wide ocean, you may feel very small. But when you sail, know just one thing, He’s with you always, many joys He will bring. So take in the beauty, and all of His Gifts, The water, his creatures and all in your midst. Even if you did not consciously bring Him, He’s always beside you, and there when you need Him. I know of a lady, she’s one of your girls. She mentioned that you would be traveling the world. So, though I don’t know you, I wish you the best! Safe, happy travels…knowing He’ll do the rest! Take in every moment, sun rises and sets. It sounds as though it’s as good as it gets! My prayer is this, that your Travels be well. So bring back some memories and stories to tell! Sailing relentless sea

T'was the month of July
should've been sailing upon calm sea,
brightest sunshine
blue sky so clear.

For days and days, it rained and rained
As if the sky's afallin' away,
Bounced wildly about on wall like waves
T'was death we came to face.

Tied ourselves with ropes around our waist
To not to sea be blown and swallowed away
The only thing for us all to do, was pray
Then mates and the capt'n their voices did raise.

Began singing aloud sailor's songs of old
Drowning out their dread in the sea's assault
Sudden shower of sunbeams began to pour right out
Of the opening heavens by gushes of wind, parting clouds.

Hope returned about the crew
They knew the sea would be subdued
Looking through his spyglass out to sea
The capt'n saw our destination appear.

Dream on

 DREAM ON

I dream on, from my dome to my chest
to my toes and to the tips of my palms.
We dream on, in the land of the free,
but where freedom comes at a cost and
sacrifice for others the achieve their dream.

I dream on, flying over an icy mountain top,
To the sweat taste of lemon drops,
To the cool relief of mist burning over a
desert black top as I brain storm lessening
to heart beat of my favorite song.

We dream on, from the top of
lonely tropical island hill top
to the sit and the smell of a breath
taking Forrest and to a falling
sun afflicting a shining sea
that is the best part of the day
I rather spend ending enjoying with a beautiful
woman... the sit and the breeze.

two

water melon in my garden
like the sun and moon
just two…
”...launcher ready…”
steady my hand
tending the weeds
near a row of beans
a far away land
”...it’s not a good time…”
so I wondered
and thought of when
wars are just plays
staged in the hands
of writers like me…
I’d arm the nations
with radish leaves
squash for bullets
that unload seeds
Peanuts money
on my jelly spread
I’d share the health
giving lettuce, head…
”... is it a good time now?...”
who wants a cow
chickens grown
in crowded pens
suffering blows
in.human.e hands
glitters the water
between the corn
I’d sale on ships
into rosebud shores
and i’d grow my fish
in between the stores
”...I’m god in my garden…”
and I divide the rows
soing what suits me
in tomato groves
and near my basil
I’ll build a school
teaching the mint
just how to be cool
and over hear
the potatoes anchor
on stalks of beer
”...wellcome…”
to chi…
banana central
read booms of cheer
...but they say I’m mental.
lentils
are sooo good in soup!
my capitals
I declare are true!
I only cook
When I brew my stew…
and no one regrets
in the garden of Sue.
”...yes piglet…”
I was Just
Making sure of you.

Shrine of Love

Shrine of Love

I , the first-timer, am greeted at the gates of this shrine
By the roar of the seas and a bower of tangled vines
With a two-in-one miracle rising in its middle
A neem tree entwined by a banyan in a huddle.

I step inside the little space of the temple hallowed
To the sight of the wide seas, but a hundred feet below
And walk to the railings to get a better view of things
To find, on the rocky ground I stand , waves banging.

So close to the seas but safe at a hundred feet’s height
The land extends as a wall to the viewers delight
Spangled on its sides with blooms and the top with trees.
No sands and beach but dotted in places with fans of scree.

Take the thirteen ritualistic rounds around the deity
Wondering all the while why it has got to be thirteen
Prayers for family done and set, for home ,to push off
Mobile rings to bring from across the seas my friend’s LOVE..

It was as if the exotic setting got a new focus
With the caller holding line I pray for the two of us
While I turned a human two-in-one like the twin-trees
My friend on the phone heard the temple drums with glee.

THE WISHING WELL OF A SUN-RISE,

It is...within the tiny things of early morning, that moment breaths alive, it is within the tiny whisperings, that a melodye plays...like the very dear and the antelope, play home on the range.

so goes the melodye of heart beat, that plays quietly the songs of soul,

here a rhyme is born of day-light coming so soon, through the early morning eyes of the moon-light, and the starry dreams of twilight's transitioning...

into the light of a love letter written to dawn.

soul to soul conversing, as in this love letter, the letters just join hands with the words and just march across the sky...and at the end of the rainbow, there be plenty of golden time,

way down deep on the inside,

...as the inspired choir, of a bumble bee, or a butterfly, starts to sing, like tiny things that live,

flower to flower,
blossom to bloom,

watered and deeply cared for...

O' Eden.

I say, deep beneath the surface of a wishing well...where the pennies lay,

I wish a sun-rise.

Perfectly you

You say you aren't perfect,
but look again and behold yourself; perfectly you.
Your tears be heavy-laden with guilt;
also remember, they glisten with remorse.
The sea water of the eye cleanses wounds old
and leads life to the good vulnerability
that teaches humility and belief.

Singing; your voice awakens the dawn
and dancing you set the moon.
Entrancing, you smile
and for a moment I glimpse forever.
Joy's child is your way
and grace is in your name.

Awake in the watches of the night
He watches your panic weeping;
wanting your day to soar
and set twilight leaping.
Stars twinkle in sympathy,
and meteors lead sight to the other.
Come away with me my love and wink at suns.

Sand Castles By The Sea

Walking along the oceans sand, in the crisp evening air
He happened upon a sand castle built by a child’s, tiny hand
It's delicate, virginal beauty, a short time it would last
Much too soon the waves of the sea would wash it to a distant past.

Those little footprints, ingrained on some land
Where a sweet, small child had carefully planned
A beautiful, fragile castle in sand

He was painting a picture in his mind of those little hands and feet.
The nocturne of a symphony with children directing the beat.
The rolling motions of the sea kept a rhythmic roar with the waves
They rolled to the shore in syncopated lyrics making wet, sandy graves.

His hope he carried in his heart
As he walked quietly along the sea
He wanted to make everything right
But he was doubting his ability

A silent cantata of a discordant roar of time,
Was singing a haunting melody in voice A-cappella
Chanting audible chords of memories in his mind
His thoughts went back to the little child, building a dream carved in sand
A a child who was thoughtfully shaping their future on land.

As he sat on the shore in pensive thought,
His own child came to his mind.
A sweet little girl, not a care in her world
            Singing her innocent, happy rhymes

He’d come home from work, needing time to unwind
Too busy and tired to give his child enough time
She learned to walk and talk all while he was gone
While her mommy taught her all those cute, little songs

"Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffett
             Eating her curds and whey
The little spider that sat down beside her
             Until she shooed him away"

His wife, the apple of his eye, a woman who stood by his side
He wrote her name inside his heart, always wanted her as his bride.
They fell in love, prayed for a sweet, little child to share all their love.
The Lord in Heaven heard their prayers and sent them a little girl from above.

His memories led him back to home
Knowing he made those vows without end
Finally knowing what he must do..
He’d take his wife and child by their hands
To make their lovely, delicate castles in sand

                                                                  *~*

Sea'

Swashbuckling, piracy, Tyrone, Errol and yes, Rathbone.
All actors that rode the Spanish Main called the sea home.
Stories of Robinson Crusoe to Mysterious Island.
Fantasy stories with a moral, it’s for enjoyment for man.

Plenty of men have traveled the high seas.
They thought it was their purpose, their destiny.
A wild age then, a new world, a new hope.
Some ships battered and sunk at sea, some got lost,
But a lot reached the Eastern coast.

Now legends, fantasy, came from Melville and the like,
About Jason and the Argonauts seeking the fleece,
A fantasy that had a future so bright.
How Captain Ahab chased passionately for “Moby Dick”!
Mr. Peck, played the part to a tee, cinematography was a kick.

How about Crusoe and his man Friday? Truly one of the best.
The sea has always captured man’s imagination; it just roars sometimes calmly rests.
Movies made from great authors who knew not the way of fowl language.
Our Father has His own picture show going on; morals today signal the end of an age.

Our Holy Bible history is filled with many compassionate moments.
Men of strength courage and fortitude.
Our Father will get his Spiritual Family, keep reading.
Studying, be vigil Brethren, God will soon be amongst men with a Spiritual solitude.

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

For Bruce Springsteen

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

Encompassed Might

Rip the surface of my soul free
Calm writhing waves of discontent
Fill the listless heart with psyche
Divine art, lend hand to intent
Let brawn and brain arise in man
Oh Lord, let fair cities bloom
beneath the sea and sand
give all beauteous room.

Sacrifice the sword for honor.
show truth has a beauty its own.
Let right be taught by mothers
in embryonic sea light’s born.
Magnify the mystery formed
with purest intend adorn
for all of nature is
encompassed in Your form.

Let your Consciousness encompass
and polish the coarser form bright
for though the sole scale must swing
a less dramatic sweep seems right.
Bring us closer to bliss, blessing
each tiny bit of star dust light
for universe’s dwell
in Your abundant might.

Life found in a Dream

Life found in a Dream
Today I’m a lonely man living in a cold, cold world filled with indifferences and malice. As time marches on a harsh reality come to my mind, time is on no one’s sided, it is only given once and all must die and tomorrow is not guaranteed. This seems so mean because having no one to really love or so it seemed, I was just a lone no one was on my team.
I started to think and reminisce about the think in life that I missed. Tears appeared in my eyes and my heart skips a beat so I lay down and felled into a deep, deep sleep. Suddenly and to my surprise I was on a beach with soft sand underneath feet. The sky was so blue and the air smelled oh so sweet; it dawned on me that this was a place few have ever seen.
I walk down to the water and what did I see; the sea was strange so let me explain; it was made of crystal with a glow all of its own and the waves gave off a musical tone. As my mind adjusted to sounds and the sight I spied out another wonderful delight. There across the sea, a city brighter than the northern lights, oh what a beautiful sight.
I fell down to my knees overwhelmed by the glory that was before me. I thought that I had died and stepped to the other side. I knew what I was seeing before just could not be true, such beauty, it could not exist, not in my world, never like this. A melody that I have never heard before arose from the City across that crystal sea. It had to be played by Angels, the music was so, so sweet; that I felt a joy from my head to my feet and knew deep in my heart that was where I belong,
Just when I decided to dive in and swim to the other side, I heard a soft voice call out my name. I turned around to see who it was that called out my name. There He was this gentle looking Man with sadness in His eyes. He spoke to me and this is what He said; my son, my son you cannot dive in and swim to the other side. So I ask Him why I can’t swim to the other side, that’s easy for me, am going to try. No, no, no it not for you it not your time was His only reply. I did not understand His reason but I felt His command and suddenly my feet was stuck in the sand, I cried out with hurt and pain in my voice; what lies on the other side, who are you and why can I not go on the other side?
This is the story that He told:
The city that you see beyond the crystal sea it belongs to me and it has streets that are paved in gold. Many mansions lining the roads and in each one there are treasure that are a wonder to behold. There is no hunger, sickness or death, life everlasting and there you can find rest, for all eternity you will be My guest. Now I will answer your second question, my son, my son; I Am, who I Am! I came to earth a long time ago prepare The Way for all my children to come home. This is some that you should know, for it was written for all a long time ago and I am always with you in your times of needs you are never ever all alone. Last but not the least you ask me why; my son, my son it not your time.
Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open, and until you love Me, it will never be. Now go back and remember what you seen and what you have heard, because time grows short. Spread My words that My kingdom draws near, repent, repent and stop causing Me tears.
I suddenly opened my eyes and I was home in my bed and I start to cry. Never have I felt such joy and peace deep within. I went down on my knees and I ask the Lord Jesus to please come in and would you please forgive me of all of my sins, please live inside of me until the end. I sow the seeds and when the harvest comes you will know where it can from. Keep this in mind cause when it is time He will separate wheat from the weeds and set all of His children free.
(Warning, Warning)
The time is now, and do it before it to late!
Time is on no one side.
Everyone want to go to heaven but no one want to die.
You do not have to worry if you have Jesus inside.
He there for the asking want you try
Do you want Him? He want you, it about free will and you must choose.
The Gift is free, Heaven are hell which will it be?
I hope that I have sowed a seed and it will grow, but it will only grow if you truly believe and have faith deep within your heart and soul.
Time waits for no one!
Faith is something sight unseen will you not set your spirit free? Is it so hard for you to believe that Jesus is the answer and all you need? The door is open want you please come in? Don’t you think it time to find that Kingdom that is way up high filled with riches up in the sky?

I'm Always Around

I'm Always Around
by BJ Welsh

I'm not near, but I'm really not so far
If you look up I'll be the brightest star
Looking down upon God's project earth
Watching and waiting for a rebirth
When you speak I will always listen
My points will seem to shine and glisten
Giving you guidance when things seem tough
Steady now it may be rough
When we meet again someday
Be it there or far away

I'm here for now and always will
Never escaping, did you feel that chill?
My spirit wind brushed by your side
Or the soft, gentle wave pushed by the sea tide
When we meet again someday
Be it there or far away

You've given me hope and reason to breath
It's not yet time for me to leave
I'm that fluttering seagull upon the sands
Maybe I'm the reason for you to dance
When we meet again someday
Be it near or far away

Second Chance

As the never world awaits me,
The lord darkness, his cloak now draped.
Haunting images that appear in dreams,
Invade the subconscious, till again I wake

Complative thoughts well before the dawn,
I walk the morning shore,
How many have stood on these same sands,
Reflecting the echoes of those no more.

And still the waves they pound the shore,
Relentless in their quest,
As they crash on the rocks with deafly roar,
White tipped and foaming zest.

Dawn breaks with gilded cotton clouds,
Waiting like courtiers to their king.
Gathering round the sovereign sun,
Bestowing his warmth on everything.

Would that life compare to the shore,
All worries get washed away.
Cares thrown to the four winds,
As on my knees I pray

THE DEVIL'S THIEF

     THE DEVIL'S THIEF
Arranged in paradise, by suffering's fate,
to have no end, to be alone and wait,
it was her love, acceptance came so fast
she had no time to think it might not last,
as he, the sailor left, she loved too late;

He'd waited on the dock so long he grew
to be inspired by something she won't do,
'twas just a recognizing love is there
the reaching out for what is everywhere,
but love for her was something all so new;

the chart well planned, and ties that bound the ship
were heaved away, and thus began the trip,
upon the sea, past U-Boats ev'ry one,
yet feared he not, his ship was let to run.
their course away from where the moon would dip.

She on the shore, he on the watch at three,
both dreaming dreams not ever let to be
but absence makes the heart more fonder yet,
and out of sight means not they will forget;
the ship sailed on, and peaceful was the sea;

the gale that came and sank him to the reef,
took from the shore the lady in her grief,
and they were thus to marry, in the sea,
united 'neath the waves, eternally,
depriving love from time, the devil's thief.

What have we become

The world,
Was Vast and Prosperous,
Now minuscule,
Like butter on bread the universe spreads,
But the earth withers,
Before the jovial sea song to the wind,
 Now whispers to herself,
Rain embellished the earth with Laevigata roses,
Now stone asphyxiates the bountiful grass,
The quiet moon drifts from us in silence,
For the pain is to insufferable,
Who could watch the earth die?
Forced from the galaxy,
Our odor lingers through space,
Afraid to be tainted,
We are alone,
Who can save us?
Blinded by our doom we continue,
But I weep. For I see it all
And I cannot stop it,
My voice speaks but sound of pride deludes my voice,
Now Afraid the earths cries but no one hears her weep
and her despairs stays imprinted on my soul
How can I save the world?
I hear no Solution,
So I stay and wait the conclusion to come

The Spark

It was overwhelming, it was lovely
It was my definition of forever, it was empowering
I spread it into the sea
Into space, time, and everything in between or beyond
I spread it into their souls
I spread it throughout the forgotten dimensions

Betrayal, a curve ball
Unexpectedly knocking me from this universe
I floated, away from everything i had seen
I was spread, beyond the city
I was spread, further from the seas

Closer to the bottom
The light became dim
The light became an illusion
The truth had been unfolded beneath
Like a trench, eager to sub duct innocence of loyalty
For I had traveled so far...

The spark, what is now a burden
What now burns
For once, it lit the way
It guided the way that the mind created
The illusion we were eager to find

Now all that is left
And of course,
Only the foolish search for the spark

An Angel and Dolphins to the Rescue

Aunt Eva was the “character” in our family tree As a swimming teacher she had a great love for the sea One summer day she was swimming nearly a mile offshore When she heard something she had never encountered before An angel’s voice told her, “Go back,” but this she did not heed Then she felt a bump; something did not want her to succeed ‘Twas nothing but a playful dolphin that came into view She continued swimming on, bidding the dolphin adieu Suddenly she was surrounded by dolphins aplenty When she heard the angel’s voice again, she surveyed the sea A school of huge, man-eating bull sharks was headed her way She started swimming rapidly, made it to shore that day Although Aunt Eva was not one who would frequently pray She thanked the angel and dolphins for steering her away

Polar Bears And The Penguins

Some times they say the great and mighty do fall…
And the penguin story of greatness, should be heard by all.
Polar bears are mighty and cunning with massive brute strength.
But they messed with the penguins, a mistake, I do think.

The polar bears went after the penguins and cute little chicks.
So you’ll never guess what those cute little penguins did.
Using the most courageous penguins as a target so nice.
They lured all the polar bears, for the first time, out onto the ice.

The greedy bears moved out in force for the kill.
But the penguins pushed the ice flows into the currents windmill.
So intent on dinner and full of themselves, were they that day…
That the polar bears didn’t notice the ice caught in the currents sway.

The polar bears were way out to sea, before noticing their plight.
And, by then, the penguins were safely at home tucked in for the night.
You might say, the current was a friend to the penguins that day.
For it eventually sent those polar bears to the North Pole far away.

Now the moral of this story is here to easily understand.
Brute strength is not the greatest thing to cherish; it is far greater to plan…
And, never turn your back on a penguin I say.
They’re the reason there’s no polar bears at the South Pole, to this day.

ONAM Carnival of Kerala-2

“ the problem with Equality is that we desire it only with our superiors”

“Equal were all and happy they all were,
Deceits and falsehoods were unheard of there,
Free from all illness, cares and infant deaths
No one came to harm and none spoke untruths”

This was what obtained in a strip of land
Called Kerala flanked by mountains and sand
Gifted to ‘Nakas’ by the God of Sea
Cornucopia land it grew to be

Under a demon-king’s fair and just reign
Who, to do things unrighteous, did not deign
‘Maaveli’ his name and revered by all
In wisdom and charity he stood tall.

Gods grew jealous as his fame spread thick
The poor king lost to a Lord-Vishnu-trick;
Banished to ‘Paathal’, but with a reprieve
He could, a welcome, in his land ,receive

On Thiruonam day once in a year
Whose festivities last for ten days clear.
Feasts for all and dances and swings for gals
All rough sports for lads as the big day calls

By patterns made of blooms are courtyards decked
To laud the trickster and welcome the tricked.
‘Brotherhood and Love for all’ is its theme
Classless, contented society its dream.

U.S.P. now to make tourism sell
An epicurean splurge does it spell.

Inspired by: Dr. Ram Mehta’s Shadormas on Kerala’s ONAM carnival.
Notes:
1. The first stanza is an approximate translation of the most popular Onam song.
2. Nakas: Local Chieftains , pious, righteous and warrior-like, who ruled the littoral hilly regions when the sea ( sea God, really) withdrew some distance and gave the land thus born ( Kerala) as a gift to them.
3. Paathal: One of the fourteen worlds, according to legend
4. Lord-Vishnu-trick: The Lord came to the king in the guise of a short statured priest asking for a piece of land, small enough for him to take just three steps. As the charitable king agreed, the guest grew in stature and covered all earth with his first two steps and stood asking him for space to take his third and final step. The king, rendered landless by now , offered his bowed head for the Lord’s third step which He duly took and in the process pushed the king down to Paathal
5. Thiruonam: A day that comes annually in the month of Chingam, which extends from mid-August to mid-September.
6. U.S.P: Universal selling proposition

when our children ask why?

the stones will tell the story of their journey into the Promised Land
the children of Israel with the Ark of the Covenant at Gigal they came to stand
they had crossed over the Jordan River when the river bed by God was made dry
and the Lord told them to tell all the children if they should ever ask why?

God is at work in our lives, He has a master plan
He's prepared us for that which for us He has in His hands
our lives have been redeemed by His unlimited mercy and grace
as He's the God of the whole universe of all air, land, sea and space
we've been fashioned in His image and the likeness of His Son Our Holy Lord
and when we accept and acknowledge Him our lives become more in accord
as all things work together for the good of those who love Christ
no matter the trials nor the tribulations that you experience in this life

when our children ask why we worship and honor the Lord God
the words out of our mouths should be from the depths of our hearts
tell them that once they understand the purpose that for them God has ordained
they'll be more equipped to handle life's frustrations, upsets and pain
let them know no matter what in life they are going through
the joy of the Lord comes each morning and He will always be with you

trust in God to open doors and let His Holy Spirit guide you along
believe in His word, follow His commands and you will never go wrong
by exposing the core of your being, your soul and becoming a vessel that God can use
now as a true disciple and servant of Christ you can never lose

so reverence God, respect God and hold Him in the highest regards
and when our children ask why tell your testimony from the heart
that God is omnipotent, there is nothing He cannot do
He parted the Red Sea and the Jordan River so His people could pass through
so when our children ask why, why we glorify the Lord God?
we can tell them about all the wonderful things and the miracles He imparts

A DRINK IN THE MORNING

Coffee in a cup, makes a cup of coffee;
just as an aroma from within, makes the air,

smell of flowers in the spring

...blossoms,
blooms,

time,

...a sweet thing, like sugar cane is to the tasting,
and the tasting is to stirring the dream,
flavor,

making flavored coffee
soul,

a drink in the morning.

Amazing Grace Wash Over Me

A prayer for those who are in dispair along the Gulf Coast due to the BP Deepwater Horizon
oil rig explosion. A prayer for those who waited and their loved ones did not return, Amazing
Grace Wash Over Thee.

Amazing grace wash over me.
My tears are a river to the sea.
Lord above, we know you know,
the oil that is washing upon our coast.
Amazing grace wash over me,
and lift my soul up to Thee.
Lord above, hear my prayer,
for those who are in dispair.
Amazing grace wash over me.
I lift my hands to God you see.
My prayer for those who were hurt,
and those who will never return to earth.
Amazing grace wash over thee,
families were left in disbelief.
Empty hands, their loved ones gone,
Lord Jesus, guide them safely Home.
Amazing grace wash over me,
the oil is filling up the sea,
from Louisiana to Mississippi.
Animals are dying,
and people are crying.
Amazing grace wash over me.

EYE Don't See -Part 1-

My eyes
Pour forth feelings
That I’ve felt in the past
They make my heart ache…
Take it all away…
Oh my God…
They’re making me sink in dismay

When will they break away?
When will they give me a break?

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye don’t see
A happy ending in this scene

My eyes
Journeys into the unknown
Who knows what will happen…
They’re like hidden treasure…
They’re buried far below…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Oh my God…
They’re driving me insane
When will they see my reflection?
When will they heal the infection?

Eye don’t feel
Raindrops of hope and relief
All I feel…is grief…
Eye sense no peace…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Does He hear
My supplications?
Does He sense
My fear?

My eyes
Conceals the tears that dare to spew out
I feel trapped and lost without a doubt…
They erase my delight…
They seek my hurt…
Oh my God…
They’re casting me away into the perilous sea

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace throw out my fear?

Eye don’t see
A ship in sight…to save me from my demise
My lifeless body...
Drifts away in the wild ocean...
Without a sound...
Without emotion...

Eye don’t see
A rope to hold on to…
My hope for peace
Has drowned…

The storm is come

Red leaves fleeing trouble before the gust:
like children playing tag.
Tumbling to shelter under,
or it is to the brick wall.

Tears from heaven
hit cheeks from the side,
and lash down to toe:
and the whole becomes a sea.

I am swept away in it's fury:
each wave crest seeks shores,
and pours itself away; to abandon.
Cherishing that kiss with earth.

Fury must find it's rock;
be diminished in ecstasy,
and sink into nothing.
Before turning into life.

Our Divine Haven

This town was the place we used to call our haven
You don’t remember which road we’ve driven on
The stars were shining against your cherished soul
You’re a part of my belongings
You’re ascending above the ground
The peace is still like hidden treasure – it’s bound to be found

I believe in you…I put my faith in you
After the miracles you’ve performed
You don’t agree with what you truly are
The sky is grieving
You jump from puddle to puddle
You’re struggling to meet your destiny
Even if your body is saturated in sweat
You must keep your head above the sea

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
I could tell you've been stressing out
But rest your head on my shoulders and let loose your strain on me

Each melody is an exquisite sound that bounces into our ears
Commotion and strife will cease and your heart will be free
We’ll flee together…despite the unwholesome weather
The voyage has just begun…hold my hand and we’ll rise like the sun
Trust me…we will be strengthened and well-equipped before we take that road of victory

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
You’d rather be drifting away and never be seen again
I wanna change your mind and erase your frown
Take your mind off of the distressful past
Let loose your strain on me

Hey! I know you’re stronger than you realize
You’re not a failure – don’t be disheartened
Don’t worry…you and I will earn our future prize
This mess will clear up in a moment
Just stay by my side and never depart
From the light… I promise that we’ll endure till the end
Just stay nearby and our hope won’t tear apart
We are willing to do anything to attain our wishes and delight
Let’s take action and snatch our glory before our time is up

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
You've been trying to keep a steady pace
But rest your head on my shoulders and let loose your strain on me

Let loose your stress on me…
Don’t be under pressure
Let me handle your anxiety…
Reach towards our divine haven
Do you need a helping hand?

I wish you a carefree
Future

Jacques Cousteau (Conversion to Islam)
From WikiIslam, the online resource on Islam
Jump to: navigation, search
Cousteau.jpg

Jacques-Yves Cousteau (June 11 1910 – June 25 1997), was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water. He co-developed the aqua-lung, pioneered marine conservation and was a member of the Académie française. He was also known as "le Commandant Cousteau" or "Captain Cousteau".[1]

It is claimed Jacques Cousteau had converted to Islam after witnessing a "miracle mentioned in the Qur'an that waters of different salinity do not mix because there is an invisible barrier between the two".

Here's a typical version of the story:
The famous French oceanographer Mr Jacques Yves Cousteau, who has

spent his lifetime on undersea discoveries and is considered an authorithy on undersea exploration has embraced Islam after his amazing undersea discovery was confirmed by the Holy Qur'an the last and final revealed guidence of Allah (God Almighty) for the whole of Mankind and Jinns.

One day somewhere in deep ocean, Mr Jacques Yves Cousteau was doing some undersea exploration when he discovered that within the salty sea water there were several spring of sweet palatable water.

What amazed him most was the fact that the sweet water of the springs was not mingling with the salty water of the sea. For a long time he tried to find plausible excuse for this phenomena, but to no avail.

One day when he mentioned it to a Muslim Professor who told him this phenomena simply followed Allah's command as clearly explained in the Holy Qur'an. He then read to Mr Cousteau the following Sora from the Holy Qur'an :

"It is He (Allah) Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water : One palatable and sweet, and the other salty and bitter; yet has He (Allah) made a barrier between them, a portion that is forbidden to be passed" - (Sura 25 Al-Furqan : Sora 53)

"And He (Allah) made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing waters." - (Sura 27 An-Naml : Sora61)

"He (Allah) let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together : between them is a barrier which they do not transgress." - (Sura 55 Al-Rahman : Sora 19:20)

Hearing this, Mr Cousteau said that surely the Qur'an is a divine Book and embraced Islam. (This was reported in Al-Furqan-Ta-Ha
Publishers, London).

In Your Love

Every time you kiss my lips
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Like a never ending abyss
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Every time you whisper I miss you
I am drowning, I'm drowning
In your love, in your love.

Life doesn't seem dangerous
When I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
Don't take it so serious
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
I don't care what they think of us
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
In your love, in your love

Day by Day

Day by day,
Night by night,
I sit and wonder,
About the world so bright.
Darkness lays,
Shadows glimmer,
Scents of the water,
Crawling up my nose.
Relaxation,
Paralizing my muscles.
The lost feeling,
Dashing overhead,
Upon my soul.
The flow of blood,
Running through my body.
The eternal love,
Glimpsing upon my mind.
Day by day,
Night by night,
Since when;
Did this world get so bright?

Fly Home, Little Angel

“Come fluttering words, come drifting to me...” A Rambling Poet

A gentle breeze brings me the soft smell
So familiar it calms my tear-filled eyes instantaneously.
I venture closer to the source.
Two ebony, round vases resting atop a sill.
The scent of the roses and carnations flit about me,
As they did about her so little ago.
Yet we have laid her softly
After she was slain
Into the moist, soft soil from which her scent derived.
Always like a butterfly did flora float about her.
So small, and pale, with mahogany hair
When we found her lay flared about her delicate head
Like the halo our Father gifted her.
For it came about in such a gentle flow
And jade eyes, calm as the sea
In which we found her
They sparkled like the sun dancing off the waves.
Her eyes were open, and matched the swirling surf.
The tears flow silver from my own emerald orbs
I peer into mucky puddles lying about
And see her face in my own.
I bore her from my womb
Yet our Lord has called her home
To save her from the world's cruelty
An Angel to watch this land
I stopped to smell the flowers
Not rushing bust taking life in time
The wind blew by my ear
And I heard the whisper of a little Angel
“I love you, Mommy”

Transformed heart

Oh just one look
From His tear filled eyes
Reflecting like mirrored
Oceans and skies

They reached into my heart
I felt quiet ashamed
There was no where to hide
This lowly heart from His eyes

His amazing love flowed in
Like a river divine
He willingly covered –
When I surrendered my heart
He took all of my sin

His love has cleansed me
Transformed me- within
I am now brand new-
My heart can’t help but sing
My Praises to Him

He IS my Wonderful Savior
He took all my strife
For it was He – who gave me
His Wonderful Life

Season's Greetings!

Oh yes! I am bringing to you my sweetest “Season’s Greetings”!
We’re all for one and one for all we have our gradual meetings!
In just one single season;
I can change my very significance,
Into my natural underlining supernatural spiritual being,
I am inducted into a higher level of a thorough healing.

Autumn decorates Mother Earth’s leaves with painted colors of a much clever design.
Winter sheds its leaves harvesting bared naked trees perfected by one purely divine.
Spring brings many blessings by bundles pleasing my senses delicately I’m breathing.
Summer sparkles in midnight’s mystical air soothing my torturous day stained in sweat.
Balanced by my four winds in heaven into brilliant glory,
Each day you and I personally have pleasured and met!

“Season’s Greetings”!
Great Goodness!
I ‘m believing in exactly what it is I‘m seeing and feeling!

“Season’s Greetings”!
Goodness Gracious!
I’m feeling Mother Earth moving a healing inside of my own natural being!

A Sun so bright, glaring shiny throughout the endless midnight skies spreading wide out.
A Moon so light, beams flow through down into depths of seas netting webs on a mount.
Skies so high my breath loses sight in the glare of golden visions all at once I forebear.

Shallow rivers and high Mountains sounding to winds of decrees summoned by degree!
Valleys and fields rain top rocks of thunderous clouds striking down at the perfect pair.
‘Tis Season’s Greeting adjacent to humbling breaths with heirs to a mightier new year!

O CHIMING BELLS OF MIDNIGHT...

O chiming bells of midnight,...
gladly announce Jesus' joyful birth;
see how the Heavens' stars shine...
to glorify the most glorious One!

Unpleasant is the cold December' air,
and a manger is the perfect shelter
away from the frost and the gelid wind;
see how He smiles as all the angels sing!

Come shepherds, bring along your sheep,
to warm up a King whose heart is so meek;
and as the Wise Men kneel down in divine adoration,
I watch the gifts in their hands with much trepidation!

O chiming bells of midnight...echo through my starry valley,
and cheer up this silent town that offers its true serenity;
and if snowflakes fall and make all the stars seem too far,
my lamp will brighten up the path and lead me to the Messiah!

DEAR SOON M COMING HOME

SOON M COMING HOME !!!

Summers been too slow
Tides never been so low
Days haven’t quickly gone
But We still have to hold on
Fates never been so severe
Eyes now just holding onto those tears
Waiting for the moment is tough
Even seconds without U makes life rough

Dear
Just need U to wait a little
Bond we share is no more brittle
Passed through fieriest fire
Our love will last for entire

Soon the flow will change
Tides will have an altered range
Would then be possible for self to steer
And navigate safely to pier

Promise won’t be late
Would be glad to see U
With those eyes comb
Standing next to gate
Dear I’ll be coming Home
M coming Home.

THE PURPLE SPRING CROCUS - A CHRISTMAS STORY

Early Christmas morning I glanced outside,
and no snow was falling, and suddenly a vision of a luminous light
with a trembling child appeared in sight...
and could this have been the Infant of prophecy and might?

And He softly said with the sweetest and kindest voice,
"I bring you no snow but endless love...the warmest flame
that makes every forsaken and unhappy heart rejoice;
it's a gift so gladly given to all the believers of this blessed age."

Struck by that splendid appearance, unafraid,
I ran to thank him for those wonderful words,;
and not having seen any gift under the decorated spruce,
I seemed puzzled, but not fearful or nearly surprised.

There it stood, my gift from that generous child with golden, curly hair:
a purple spring crocus never seen before, an Alpine flower
which grows in early April in every emerald meadow...
I leaned forward with much gentleness and plucked it from the cold snow.

When I stood up, he was gone and not a trace of him could be found,
and who was that cherub without wings...to leave that flower in the bitter cold?
Wasn't He the Christ Child who was born in a Bethlehem's abandoned stable?
And wasn't hope the meaning of the purple spring crocus so beautiful?

Life in a Dream corrected

Moments to Reflect
There are many mansions lining the roads and in each one there are treasures that are a wonders to behold. There is no hunger, sickness or death, life everlasting and there you will find rest and for all eternity you will be My guest. Now I will answer your second question, my son, my son; I Am, who I Am! I came to earth a long time ago and I prepared The Way for all my children to come home. This is some that you should know, for it was written for all to read a long time ago. I am always with you in your times of needs you are never ever all alone. Last but not the least you ask me why; my son, my son it’s just not your time.
I went down on my knees and I ask the Lord Jesus to please come in and would you please forgive me of all of my sins, please come and live inside of me until the end. I now sow the seeds and when the harvest comes the Lord will know if they landed on fertile ground.

Essential Things

Palm trees line a pathway to an alcove of cool mists and ocean spray
Where golden sand and craggy boulders display
Their ageless beauty so well defined
Where tide trundles infinitely with no decline
Rehearsing with passion its eternal song
Performing dances with the wind, as it waltzes along

Imagine stories it’d tell if it could, of life
Long before scripted words, and endless strife
Imagine plain truth not intersperse with subtle lies
No hidden agendas to beguile, no alibis
Imagine it would tell of these essential things
Of God, of life and lessons we’re still missing

Green and Blue

Fish swam in blue waves of cotton candy
Carless gulps of salty ocean
Tails whipping through chocolate sea
Sweet as a rice crispy treat
Mindless beauties beneath the land
Squishy scales under quick sand
While dinosaurs chant for reincarnation
Butterflies flutter in several mazes
Carrying souls from eras beneath to
Timeless eras above to retreat

Justifications of Cortez

We’ve come here from a distant place in search of untold treasures.
The beaches have left us stranded without a place of refuge.
We come here with only one intention, to fulfill our wildest pleasures.
The moon is bright tonight and reflects upon the crystal sea and sky.

We pour our hearts out but learn nothing from each other.
The need for superiority turns sister against brother.
Oh how you are generous and kind unlike that of me and mine.
It is hard to follow orders when they are left at home so far behind.
When the Kings and Queens are away the joker is left to console with his own mind.
The cast of our shields are the only ties that bind.

Their ways unorthodox to me; running wild like the forests abundant with life.
Everyone gives what everyone has.
No one is rich and no one is poor.
The people have all they’ve earned and more.
The men fight for family.
The women fight for love.
The children pray for tomorrow, to the burning God above.

With a leather bind and silk marker I lay out the path of the righteous.
On the seventh day God has rest.
But not for us, much work we had, for our beliefs they did detest.
With our crosses they played tick-tak-toe.
Despite warning of the inferno that awaited them down below.
They offered us love and homage.
We broke their spirits for we are men and they are savage.

Letters to the wife bring stories of jewels and riches.
But of this land I don’t speak freely.
My words carefully orchestrated in the form of happy endings.
Now I fear in the day of our Lord my entrance will remain pending.

How I remember the sea so clear with the crispness of the unknown,
Now polluted with disease in the name of the throne
A Childs heart keeps my sword from ever touching the ground
To lose hope is to lose something so very profound.
I have as much regard for their life as I do my own.
I cannot take responsibility, no not me.
I did it in the name of our land.
Oh yes in our land we trusted.
Our pride like our armor is now threadbare and rusted.

The Power Of Prayer

This big ship lugs only one that's me
it deluded it's anchor barren lost at sea
I was swept unaware of its lease of life
she was cast by a mariner's survival knife
there was no-one to heed my sorry cry for help
with a drip and a gurgle as the anchor fell
but the wind willy nilly tossed us to and thro
such a drastic location as the thunder roared
I was woke to a rapping from the stray detail
a dyslexic reception call was bound to fail
the response sought me un-aware and cussed my fall
with an eye barely open view a vibrant crawl
I reflected religiously in search of light
was I cursed to a rota of eternal night
overhead congregating swarmed the vultures best
I recoiled back in horror as the scavengers messed
with the deluge relentless I redressed below
horrid rooks started tripping on the cabin floor
with the rain no deterrent and the gusts no threat
they deliriously powered as their eyebrows met
with their heads full of anger and the promise of rum
they ferment to the rhythm of a distant drum
As they ripped out a panel with a tribal yelp
I recited a passage as I plied for help
well thank the Lord for the power of prayer
as above helicopters towered in the air
and the sun came out and the sky turned blue
but the stains remained though I'd broke curfew.

Burnt Tongue

I'm so happy that you can yell at everyone
I'm so happy that you can express youself
I'm so happy that this world isn't what you expected
I'm just so parched that your so high up on your horse

And now I'm mad, now I'm sad, now I just dont understand
Why you care about two people fallin in love
Why you care if I drink or if I do drugs

I just wanna scream into your eyes
Make you realize that what you say isn't always right
Now right and wrong, it's all opinion
Black and white, yes I think they deserve, to be colors too
So how about me and you, is there any truth
You cant change the world with one voice if the tongue is burned

I'm so happy that you can climb a mountain high
I'm so happy that you think its my job to be the wife
Yeah I'm so happy that your such a hypocrit
I'm so grateful for you to tell me lies

And now I'm mad, now I'm sad, now I just dont understand
Why its your job to fix us all
And preach your words to a raging band
Someday you will see
That there is more than just degree
In this world that we praise peace
Peace is lost in the sea

as it fell lower

but higher
than even the sky
the ocean was split

She

A sweetly-scented, earthy rain-storm,
she came to me,

thunderously raging with raw emotion,
she came to me,

drenched in the essence of truth,
she came to me,

she touched a chord deep inside,
she strummed away all emptiness,

she came to me,

once...

she comes to me,

still...

a gentle presence filling my life,

she comes to me,

still,

a healing spirit soothing all inner strife.

The Tale Of A Fairy And An Ogre II

Contd.

Ogre:
Not on this gory planet
None can demolish my dour hell
what you call it a peaceful heaven.
My power of existence is creator when the life ends.
Am the dark and am the shadow
Your luminance will not result my persistence.

Lord's Day:
'Ogre',
Your shadow, your darkness and your evil magics
were not endowed with words
Your presence is your existence
When you can destroy the beauty of the ocean
Remember 'Ogre',
There is a begining of pursuance
and there demolish your existence.
I bring those rays with the first morning of the week
Filled with prayers and moral wishes of myraid deities
These divine rays and holy time
will destroy you with our beautiful Fairy's shine.

Ogre:
Forgive me
'Oh Lord',
I will leave the eternity of peace and beauty
I will never come back again with any curses
I will set free your Fairy
Let me go and I will take with me all my fury.

Fairy:

'Ogre',
Whom you will set free?
Turn back and see me smiling at your fear of your existence.
When my tears and your laughs can destroy Mother Neptune's endowments
My smile and your fear will destroy your existence.
Oh 'Lord's Day',
Thank you for coming
and saving me from this shadow of evil
Light me, blaze me with your virgin rays
Let the evil construe the power of beauty
Let the evil cede and die in agony.

FATHER OF ENDLESS MERCY

I am the wind drifting the snow,
uncertain of destiny and tomorrow
at any hour I could be gone,
and with much strength hope lives on;
nothing can discourage me
to ward off moments of misery,
the firmer I believe, the longer I survive...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

I am the sea in desperate need of the moon,
when no light shimmers across this dark deep;
let me hear a song of joy, not of sorrow and grief,
the hours seem long, but the sunrise will come soon,
to make me sail away to celebrate life and freedom,
forgetting how long I had been a victim of boredom,
feeling the worthiness inside to behold a splendid sight...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

Old age is blessed with wisdom and white hair,
but many despise it and by hiding in the leper's lair;
youth was glorious and seemed everlasting indeed,
we all wish to get back to recall how young we appeared
in days that time erased too quickly from the visions we dreamed,
and besides happiness and vitality, all dreams were limited
to that certain period forever engraved on perceptual mind...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

My Pupils

Fatigued eyes droop, lacking sweet slumber
But my eyes are an exception…everything’s a blur
They stare off into space…they ache with displeasure
But I still wonder… my pupils still wander

My pupils still wander… never planted in one spot
Their cup is half full…rather than half empty
My pupils see what others cannot
Because… their too busy to smell the roses of plenty

My pupils project feelings…
They comprehend – they spiral up and down
They express horrendous sorrows…they observe their surroundings
My belongings are misplaced – my smile lowers into a frown

Optimism isn’t in the picture…bestowing infection
Upon my crestfallen heart
I’m a broken compass – I’m losing my direction
My animated heart tears apart

Their voices are high in volume…rather than using half their volume
My pupils glance in many directions – beaming with glee
Because they’re focusing too much on their social lives…let us resume
On with our soothing music

Intrigued eyes lift…willing to wonder in curiosity
But my eyes swelter, wearily drowning in discouragement
They spot what others are too oblivious to see…
Nonetheless, I still ponder…
Are my pupils singing merrily OR are they wandering in bafflement?

Do I witness the fears and woes?

My pupils reject the precious scenery
They are carefree – they are heedless of my despondency
My pupils forever look forward to freedom…observe the hardships and disparity
My surroundings are chaotic and wild – my heart pounds profoundly…

My pupils…
Oh dear pupils…
Will you ever pay the bills?
Will you ever use your skills?

My heart bleeds in the river mills
My pupils ascend…above the dazzling hills
My pupils spew out remorse
My pupils are like open doors…

CLOSER TO HEAVEN

Before I'll be going to sleep
without hearing the seagulls shriek,
let me pray and be truly meek:
asking my Lord not to be weak...
trusting the calmness of the deep.
And should I stray like a lost sheep,
I will not fear the waves beneath;
closer to Heaven, where stars peak,
this captain won't abandon his fleet...
should danger foretell a defeat!

Daddy Now Please Pray With Me

Daddy now, please pray with me,
for today I'm sailing stormy seas.
I know you say you're but a man,
who tries to live the Master's plan.

I'm weathering gray storms, except a few,
and the turmoil would drown me, if not for you.
The wind is so strong, the waves are so high,
Tattered sails against the sky!

And I recall you telling me,
of Jesus Christ, Who calmed the seas.
And yes, small faith can the mountains move,
and how He died His love to prove.

So Daddy now, please pray with me,
to God's sweet Son, Who dwells in me.
For I am daughter of a man,
and weak at times and cannot stand
against these tides of shifting sands.

You say, "He's still upon His throne",
and with our prayers, I'm not alone!
And God is good and loves me still,
He will offer strength to swim these swells.

Oh Daddy now, please pray with me,
Some choices I made were not of Thee.
At times I've wandered and gone astray,
I feel somehow I've lost my way.

Tell me again my right hand he still holds,
and how in heaven the streets are gold, and
once we're there no one is old because now
Jesus holds my soul!

Daddy now please pray with me like when I
was a child of three beside my bed on bended knees.

And perhaps somehow these words I write, may move
another to change their lives, for Jesus loves me this
I know and his blood has washed me white as snow.

And when you've said "In Jesus Name" I feel brand
new and not the same, so daddy now please pray with me
though I am grown and no longer three.

He'll lift me up on wings of love and forgive me
of all the wrong's I'v done! Then I can drop my anchor
deep and mend white sails on peaceful seas!

slumber

Walking down the dock on a sunny sunny day,
The ground begins to tremble,
The boards begin to shake.
Side to side the waters start to sway.
The houses started crumbling-
I'll go the other way.
Confused in dismay,
What brought on this day.
Then to hear steps running,
right down my lane.
Fear upload,I gotta go,
I'm running to the boat.
The boat takes off, relief sets in,
Then I think again.
I look around, my heart then pounds.
The demons chasing me,
were no longer on the ground.
I hit the deck & hold my breath,
But do not fear of death.
They see my face, its time to go.
I'll cut threw the evening show.
Somethings wrong,I do not know,
We start to over flow.
I grab a raft & say good=bye
I'm off this f*****g boat.
Arrive ashore,can't take no more.
Be sure to leave no trace.
Their right on my tail, they followed me there.
This game no longer a race.
Cut threw the yard,
Slow down my pace,
Look for some where safe.
Then to notice, I am all alone, nobody's here in this place.
The yellow house, the smell of paste,
I'll never forget this place.
The spooky sense I feel from here.
I hear them @ the gates.
I run out back, into the street,
then what I come to see.
A mansion on top a hill, as far as I can see.
I take off quick,& don't look back.
For this shyt, I ain't beat.
I reach the gates & continue to wait.
Hoping salvation for me.
--I turned to look and see,my demons in my dreams, are still chasing me,I cannot feel
my feet.
I get so scared I close my eyes & open again to see.
I'm home in my bed, safe as any could be.
That was a crazy f***in dream.

Intimate Relationship

Saw the rusty old tramp-ship on the glittering
blues sea mowing cumbersome eastward.
My god, I knew her, more than many, had spent
two years in her hot interior and long nights
listening to her reassuring heart beats.

When sea was rough she rode the waves like
a swan, shuddered sometimes as to get sea off
her deck. Here she was again, under alien flag,
disappearing slowly as a dream remembered.

Wondered if she was on her way to Caribbean?
She liked it there, warm water good for her hull.
And like me she knew every little port, she could
birth blindfolded. Glad to see her again, yet sad
feel as I betrayed her for leaving; pitiable she, not
anchored in the inlet of peace by now.

The Tale Of A Fairy and an Ogre

Neptune:
I believe what I endowed the earth
with the swashing foreland when
the arogant waves strikes and take birth
of gentle ripples while flashing back
To the oceanic abyss, the sapphire peace. But
Where are you my marine fille?
Come and spread your crimson caudal fin
on the swashing foreland
dress your long aureate hair with
the white shells of the long dead snails
those gliding away with the ripples flashing back.
What haunts you?
The black ugly Ogre?
No fear! Don't be afraid!
Your beauty will reflect a blaze
And the Ogre will no longer come on your bay.

Ogre:
When the ocean is rough
and the tide is high
with the moon I rise with my malign wand
I savor the beauty to ruin
that you endowed with your charming wish.
And your marine fairy?
She is confined deep down in the blue
Lonely and in the dark
In my drear world of torments and fear.
Her little cry with my laughs
brings the rising tide and wakens my pride.
She will be cursed, she will shed with blood
Even your divine words will be her
birth of a daemon's life.

Neptune: 'Ogre',
You will never see the moon again
once she finds her way out
The fear of her what you are laughing at
Is the sword of her liberty
And when she is done withal her anguishes
Is the form of her divinity.
Oh! My marine fille
Come!
Come and fight this evil
Your beauty with your agony
is the only weapon of Ogre's demolish.
You will then sing along with the splashes of waves
you will swim with the seagulls coming from distance
you will dive with the Delphinidae
and hide, seeing the boatman's fish net.

Fairy:
I suffered a lot, a lot more than what you felt for me
'Mother Neptune',
Forgive me for I could not trust my own beauty
As it's the only treasure that makes my lofty.
This Ogre, I was never afraid of
But I used to belive I will lose my valuable dignity.
But no more tear that ruins the beauty of this earth
I will wait for the next early morning sun
And the rays will blaze to the demolish of the being
of Ogre's evil aspires and I will once again
live to your heavenly endowed world
and swim from the foreland to the distant horizon
without being the traitor of the faith of my own beauty and shine.

The Sea Blue Eyes I

Once in a while I meet a person whose eyes tell their story
The story is like the sky reflection on the seas of glory
The eyes are all the wonder of the world
It sees the future, past, and present
The eyes give us knowledge of the world and reflection
The reflection of sadness and weakness of each creature
The wonder of each individual being has a present
To the world who has lots of false images
To arise the moment of that one glance
To follow the heart in romance
Just the reflection that gather in your eyes of blue
What a man and a woman should view
Life is such a pain without stopping to see each eyes
Its like roses you have to enjoy each passion in side
When that moment collides with mind and heart
Nothing in your soul can keep your love apart
Join in the fun look in every eyes of a person beside
With passion and romance I bet you, you would cry
The luster of all the things to come
A bounty of life long needs to be given by just the wonders of the eyes
The blue seas reflects the different depths of our feelings
And it should become revealing
Come to your senses with ravaging hormones of lust
The sea can take you and even the reflection in the eyes of the person
The beauty is not held by one it is held by everyone
Such looks with fear for no relief
Is almost a dreadful part in our human nature
Beware of what can happen when emotions are held
Held to the core of an individual
No such thing is kindness when you find yourself in the Sea Blue Eyes
Calling in your soul by just looking
With ignorance you play around with such futile emotion
Gush away the fear and do not go insane with life so dear
The grasp of the titans comes to reveal
The evil within your heart is so obscenely noticed
You want the sea and you want those eyes to look at you with wishes
The rage in the heart are waves that cannot stop
It pushes and pushes with no regret
The heart falters and there is only one thing in your mind
The idea of one soul to be with is the ocean
The rifts that is trying to break to end the wants of desire
Cannot be trusted in a human lier
The beauty of man is destruction
The beauty of women are commands
The eyes of each does not matter in the sea
Because all emotion and desire is given to those who are true
Command of a person is just one thing
The desire to destroy is another
The Sea Blue Eyes will see no bother cause it bares it all
Even the utmost desire
To be continue.

tides are risen from tears of love

when oceans rise beyond
the beaches, and
it seems like the
sky is leaking
water that fills
the sea
above its very limits
and when those
tears stop falling
from the sky
where they fell
the only place
that is the waters
edge is the mountain
that you land on.

The Open Window

I’m already ahead and stirring before that fiery Sunrise appears every single morning.
I'm quickly catching up to my own waiting for the breaking of this phenomenal day.
My coffee will be in my hand right when my thoughts once again start freshly forming!
Ah, I’m feeling alive inside and I think I’ll just stay right here for each second of today.

I glide through my house to stream Sunlight in by pulling every single window shade up,
I toast this day pouring my fresh hot brew straight into my scuffed up old-timers tin cup.
It’s the open window where I see my birds on my oak tree branches singing and playing,
I just stand at the open window licking early morning honeydew from my lips and I say,
Now this is the most outstanding way to start any God given day with this superb array!

There are just so many smelly buttercups blooming out for me to pluck them up to sup!
I’m smiling whistling and getting enthusiastic about allowing myself to get carried away,
Because I hear my happy little birdies singing their hearts out to me and they’re in tune!

Let us in! Let us in! They twitter their tweets with chirps,
Let us in and we will sing all day long just to be near you.
Laughing and giggling at my birdies I am just tickled pink,

No way Jose!
I can’t sing!
My silly, silly little birdies,
Y’all know my singing stinks.

My buzzing bumbling bee hummers away driving at the winds to boot,
I holler and holler for that goofy buzzer until I’m just not giving a hoot.
So I lift my tin cup up and in my air I toast to a genuine wholeness today,

By the open window I whisper to my eternally inspirational four winds of heaven,
Forever you may live insde my breaths majestically just as my infallible Sunrays!

The Sun's Rays

The sun’s devouring rays
Reveals an astounding sensation against the marvelous universe
It caresses the earth with warm hugs and gives life to the motionless gaze
Its auras are above nature’s designating exteriors
Its swaying beauty is beyond Earth’s inhabitants, deserving my praise

It treasures the sky with joyousness and forms swarms of jeering birds
The sighs of the wind attracts clamoring herds

The sun’s appalling flames
Unshackles a zealous tune that reveals the Earth’s accord
It embraces the atmosphere with remarkable claims
Unraveling my curiosity; my ears are pleading to hear more, so I go forward!

It prizes the ocean with eagerness and forms swarms of screeching seagulls
The strength of the waves draws in scorching souls

The sun's unattainable rays
Motivate life to trail on till its duty is done
Its auras seep through the whirling sky and strays
Embracing ambitious love like a father and son

Back To The Beginning

Back To the Beginning

I remember
As a little girl
Christmas Eve sitting around the fireplace
With my brothers and sisters
Listening to Mom and Dad
As they told us the story
Of the first Christmas

Christmas morning getting up and getting dressed
Going to church in our Sunday best
Mom and Dad walking up the aisle
With five little ones right behind
I really miss those times
When Mom and Dad made Christmas special
Never losing the true meaning
Always taking us

Back To the Beginning

I am all grown up now
As I find myself, getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of Holiday shopping
Competing with whatever I did last year
Then there is a moment when I stop and think
Of Christmases past
How back then it did not matter what it was
How it was all about the togetherness
The fun of getting ready and going to
Christmas Mass
Then coming home and all helping prepare
Christmas Dinner
Opening gifts and seeing what Santa brought us was nice I admit
The true spirit of Christmas
Is what I miss the most
Therefore, I take myself

Back To the Beginning

As I hang each ornament on that tree
Hang lights around a door or window
I think about how I can show a good example
Do what Mom and Dad did for me and
Take my loved ones

Back To the Beginning

Lead by example that is what I have learned
So this year though I may give a few gifts
I will keep in mind
The person I am trying to find a gift for
Why are they so special and dear to me
What would be the best way to show
Them how much they mean to me.
Most of all I want to help
Remind them
Or teach them
What Mom and Dad taught me
The true meaning of Christmas
So please dear Lord help me
As I take my loved ones with me

144,000 Sealed

144,000 Sealed “1After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” Rev 7:1-4 NIV Sealed for the Day of Judgment; Untouched by the seven last plagues; A seal placed on their foreheads; 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes. Seals contain three elements— The owner, title and jurisdiction [territory]; All found in the fourth commandment, In honor of the Lord’s creation. The 144,000 are the first fruits, Followed by a great multitude, That no man can number; All praising God in deep gratitude. They have washed their robes In the precious blood of the Lamb; Come out of great tribulation; Held on faithfully to the great I AM. The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath [Mark 2:28], That was made holy for man’s blessing. The 144,000 acknowledged the covenant; Man’s traditions were not observing. They did not worship the ‘beast and his image’ [Rev 14:12,9], But obeyed their Lord instead; Had a knowledge of history and biblical truth; Not by men’s Mithraic fables led. In the sealing of the 144,000, There’s no Replacement Theology, But one complete ‘new man’, Holding to the same ideology. Those who accept the true Sabbath And believe in Christ as their Savior; Jew and Gentile led by the Holy Spirit; Their Father in heaven to honor! Night of the Ghost Knight...

Tender Rose! watch tonight
I reach thee there, in a wondrous flight
Sighs, storms not any more
as wanton winds soften the roar.
Tearing apart the paths I 'll be
trotting triumph through the untamed sea
hold unto thy dreams for a while
as riding I come charging the vile.
Queen of hearts, my charming bride!
shining I near over the tide
Danger, Death my old delight
truest promise tonight, must see the light.
Dogs, savages of the dark
Come an' they shall be ripped apart
Guides me truly...heavenly a spark
never let Fear rule thy heart.
The moment I kiss this castle enchanted
my silver armor in crimson painted
four or forty heads...I need not know
though fiery monsters shall be lying low
Moonlit sword shall drink the sun
the fire of my breast shall make them burn
Fear not faerie queen then, my faerie dove!
witnesses every move...the angel of love.
Softly like rain...fall into my arms
O' Heavens! Thy countless ethereal charms!
I shall fly thee...through kind the flashes of the moonbeams
away from tempests...to mid summer's night's dreams.!
Unpin the braid...we'll sail in the wind
hoofs won't touch the hard roads blind
into the sea of love...where no chains can bind
as mortal fear, mundane terrains...we leave behind...

Note-As the sailors enter the Thorde sea...they can hear a faint voice singing. As they
move further deep into the waters...the wind all of a sudden hums low an' the voice grows
distinct. A clear ringing voice...pain or ecstasy, they cannot make out. It sings of a deathly
night...of a Knight an' his beloved...the rescue an' an almost successful escape. That
night..as the two approach the sea...the knight finds his ship...set ablaze by some
treacherous spirit...gone unbeaten. At this moment of great fix...ten arrows strike the knight
from the back...poison tipped. The beloved princess is speechless in ecstasy...an' she
knows nothing of this immediate dreadful strike. As a knight ...never falls or fails...he looks
above, at the gleaming heaven in earnest pray...an' with his beloved holding him close; he
storms into the sea with the horse. The waves this moonlit night...remind you the tale once
more....as in above...

Sea Sick

I stand (almost)
One hundred ten pounds
Soaking wet.

Round up numbers
(In the same manner cobras unfold their hood;
How Monarchs, unroyal to a fault,
Bear their false eyes like liver spots)
And reject medical doctors' idiosyncratic philosophies

Repeating: the body, it is ninety percent water,
Repeating: that isn't a credible conclusion--
"No, I'm mostly just ink. Honest."

A phone rings
Echoing in a hollow office.
A pen scratches
And I think "mediocrities."
Walls rush towards my ant-self:

I choke on the pills.

One Peak Moment

Right now
I’m not blaming you…

Pretend I have not had the
Privilege of hearing those
Lines before. Tell me.

Eternal glare on my
Sunglasses, which I wear at night.
Only an annoyance…
Never to be worried about.

When with you, I feel like
An ice pick could go
Through my
Ear and into my brain, and I’d experience a similar
Reaction. I’d like to

Go drink cheap wine and
Lay in the back of my truck, on an old mattress.

And sing—
Sing anything—as long as it’s
Santana…or soft Slipknot…

Blue Butterfly

Baby butterflies floating down From the clear-as-can-be Aquamarine sea. As the waters reflect the skies, we are not bound. By day to night and by night to day We can fly with pride And can glide like light, Over the rocks and past the bay. As one dream mimicks another, A butterfly's wings reflects her path, ontop the water.

A HAUNTED FISHER

                                       A HAUNTED FISHER

	A hawk - sighted and decided young fisher;
          Traps skillfully, fishes for his wisher;
	Waving and sliding water - hills over;
With howls of 'hurray', grows ever.

		Now a wisher, decrees vessels;
		And fishes millions of dreams and pearls;
		Blunts swords of sun and might of whirls;
The spheres of storms and lightening, hurls.

			A god of holdings turns all to gold;
			Life to moving circular fold;
			Time to scarce diamonds mould;
And occasions to sudden perches for hold.

                    	Possess a paradise with Hedden;
		Breaks brutally into the forbidden;
		Inflows and outflows hidden;
		Landslides and gullies end Aden.

			Fast after flying dreams, unheard, till;
			Fast typhoon tosses, waves, spill;
			Quacks and wrecks whiflashing castle, fill;
Wakes of the storms died and waters calm still.

Now where is the floating tower?
		Flying dreams and manifold power;
Where is the longed Hedden and Aden’s lover?
Isn't the ocean calm blue and tempting ever???

How far

14 oct 2012 11:00 AM

How far has the east gone from the west
How deep is the sea of forgetfulness

How is it that the past never escapes me
Why is it that I swim the the sea though its waves terrify me

How foul the vomit of mistakes
How foul that like a dog I return to it

How stinging is the whip of regrets
How much more stinging that it is I who punishes me with it

The east is on the right and the west is on the left
of a cross whos arms will never touch

The sea is as deep as the pool of blood that came from a man
who gave every drop as redemption for us all

The foul stench of mistakes and the sting of regret are cleansed and healed by the stripes and sacrifice of a Christ a Savior who made Himself a sacrifice for all people for all time

Horizon

I looked up and saw
And what I saw
Took my breath away
I saw the sky in turquoise splashes
And a rainbow of pure colour
No eye could fathom
I saw a dream, I saw a vision
I saw what inspired every poet,
Every artist, every person,
It inspired me, and it made me
Think

I looked up and breathed
And I breathed in deep and took in
All the glory of His handiwork
I saw a sunset, I saw colours
That didn’t exist in the human mind
But only in the mind of the One who made it.
I saw neither RED, nor YELLOW, even BLUE
I saw hues; I saw splashes, merges of shades
That had neither name nor infinite longevity
Due to an oblique, orange setting sun

I gazed down and danced,
And danced on roaring white foam
On darkened sand and smooth stone
The waves crashed in, and sizzled back out
My feet and toes refreshed,
Gazing around, into a horizon turned bright crimson
I breathed in the salt, the foam and lifted
My chin, standing on tiptoe, lungs invigorated
The sun halfway into the sea, appearing to submerge

How small do I feel under the dancing coloured sky,
Of wispy clouds and up against the giant ocean…?
How do I fit in under the gaze of the Sun, its warmth and
Beauty indefinable…?
A whisper came across my face,
A wind from the West, (or is it East?)
teasing my hair away
Into marine air, pulling tendrils of curls onto my lips
Not concerned, or troubled, neither worried or caring
I nodded my head in agreement to the Words of Him
Him above all. The whisper, exhaled.
I inhaled. It came again, with no comparison;
“I’ll never leave you.”

I looked up and saw
And what I saw
Took my breath away

With The Stream We Must Flow

Crazy as a dream, I'm workin as a team
and my soul lays in sorrow as I bathe
in the moon beam.
Stuck in such a devilish scheme
and sadly this background beholds a
hatful theme.

This motion, this potion has me
floating in the ocean, I wish I were
a boat so my head could keep a float.
Dead in a bed, head full of med, wouldn't you
say thats enough said?
A chuckle and a laugh, as rare as acing math,
wish I just knew the first steps of my path as the
universe comes crashing upon my thoughts, left in knots,
will I reside with the rest of the forgotten plots?

Will I fail to connect the dots?
Surely I do fear to stear my thoughts beneth the
horses trots. Recollect what you've read, I'm a mess
its been said, but I grin from cheek to cheek because I'll
fight until I'm dead.

So when the stream flows by, and
you fail to spot reflection, resist to give in for
within love hides affection, your heart is your protection.
Know that love is your glove of hope, let love be the slant to your slope.
I hope that love renders you clean, I hope that love sews your seam.
I hope that love flows in your stream.

                                        -JLG

FAITH IS STRONGER THAN RELIGION

What religion has created through the ages
is a false gospel with much incredibility;
a helpless Christ on that cross...
instead of a resurrected One
ascending to His glory;
He's still mocked and alone!

Faith is stronger than religion,
it trascends all souls
in search of truth and hope;
and it can't be taught by words alone!
Faith was the stronghold
of prophets and saints!
Let it become our fortress
in the days of weakness,
and fervently pray with confidence
that no harm will come from others!

The sacrificial altar needs no lamb,
the ultimate sacrifice was made...
the reconciliation between Man and God,
and a Mediator to atone every sin committed;
many still believe in a harsh punishment...
by demons who dwell in Hell!

Let's be like David who exalted Jehova God always,
and proclaimed His greatness for all ages!
Let's fear no man, but trust in the God of Moses...
who parts our waters in troubled times,
and lets us walk safely to our shore;
let's be as faithful as they were!

A FIRM FAITH

It was a glorious, hot day soothed by the August's breeze; the town's copper bells
harmoniously chimed in their old, sturdy bell towers
as the band tuned to their festive sound with trumpets, trombones and marching drums.
The large square resounded with thousands of voices,
a procession of faithful flowed to the Church of Saint Stephen.
I ran upstairs with heavy breath to tell my sister to follow
them, but there on the flloor she layed with upward eyes, kind of lifeless;
and so hepeless not to find anyone, I stepped outside and saw
the saint's pious face and invoked Him for a miracle...suddenly I went back,
and instantly her face regained color and she began talking. I was convinced
that such a miracle happened because of my firm faith,
and that vision reinforces my belief that saints are the intercessors of God.

Chapel of the Sea

“Served and protected by Natures blessings”

Perched upon the rocks, chapel sits so proud.
No sermons delivered, though honored so loud.
Ocean surrounded, doves perched on steeple.
Singing sweet hymns instead of people,
They serve another congregation you see.
Seagulls approach near chapel of the sea.
Other creatures from below swim around.
Securing charisma of belief abound.
Heaven shines down upon chapel in light.
Beacon from lighthouse shines within night,
Glorifying abundantly, love, peace and harmony,
Doves singing chorus heard as an odyssey.
Untouched by human subversion in decades,
Starlight Angels stand watch in guardian parades.

Save Our Wetlands

My home state loses a football field,
Of coastal land each day of the year.
I’m no cheerleader about this,
It fills my heart with fear.

I wish I had funds to donate to the cause.
Maybe if I expressed my thoughts of the situation,
It would cause others to pause.
As the pelicans swim to the beat,
 Of their inward drum,
And contribute to the state,
That many other states of the union,
Were carved from.

Way back before humans existed,
Our dear state Louisiana was merely sea floor.
If we humans that exist today,
Don’t get serious about this erosion problem,
The state where jazz was born,
Will be sea floor once more.

Our coastal industries, beautiful magnolia trees,
And the capital of the Old South,
Will no longer exist.
We won’t be able to reminisce about anything,
If our hindrance persists.

Like bacteria attacks a cell,
Our precious land is being attacked as well.
Like our educated out migrants,
Land is leaving without being replaced.
Saving this land helps us ecologically:
This includes the human race.

Please fellow residents and people who once,
Or never lived here before.
Fill Louisiana’s heart with cheer,
By contributing to this worthy cause.
If one can’t give monetarily,
He or she should then take a pause.
Be creative and think of other ways,
That one is able to help this wonderful state.

We would certainly appreciate anything you do,
To help us out.
I know the pain of the land will be eased,
Without a doubt.

Our state has faith in us as we have faith in it.
Let us not only be cheerleaders, but star players.
So that our precious land can stay strong,
Throughout its layers.
This erosion problem can be very costly:
Climatic changes, loss of land, animal and plant species,
And human lives are just a few.
Please help save our wetlands,
Because it is part of the old and of the new.

Wrote November 2003 almost exactly 2 years before Hurricane Katrina,
while student @ ULM and concerned about the issue, as a student and scientist the topic of
New Orleans going under and the Mississippi River flow and creation of Louisiana was talked
about since I was in elementary school in the mid '80s was a main topic of concern for the
gubernatorial election held that year, and during that political official's term as governor,
Hurrican Katrina hit, Louisiana politics I tell you- they simply tell people what they want to

Forever-Part 1

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

The Donkey Carol

(Chorus): My name is breda Donkey
'Pon my back is de Christmas story
A carry God's son an' mercy
Down through the ages to wi glory
De baby born in Bethlehem's manger
               Wi creator, redeemer, how stranger

Ole Balaam let mi carry him
Fi guh sell the Massa prophecy
An angel did appear to him
An' bring me square in history
               Ole Balaam saw a star
               Coming out of Jacob family
               Jesus coming from beyond afar
               To bring all sinners mercy

So one night breda Joseph call mi
Him seh O donkey come carry Mary
I know it was Balaam's prophecy
For Bethlehem's star was bright above me
No room, no room for the baby
Not a preacher in the earth was ready
So mi call 'pon mi animal family
Jesus cum guh mek yuh manger ready

The street was full of trafficking
While merchants count their money
Wi sang glory to man's joy born king

              Red Heifer yuh sacrifice over
Likkle lambs guh skip 'pon de plain
              Bethlehem bring forth the redeemer

Sweet likkle turtle dove you are free
The covenant of the ark is broken
Sweet Jesus bring love and jubilee
Same de greedy ole Balaam had spoken
But mi is donkey an mi work nuh done
A carry him before the cross
Mi labor till de second coming of the son
Sin is mi burden, but a him it cost

This song is written to the tune of Jamaican folk song: "Good evening, Mrs Cunningham
It is written for two voices that blend to sing the chorus, but sing each stanza in 2 parts. It
tells the story of Christmas from a donkey's point view, and yet stay true to the Bible
discourse.

Some words are peculiar to the Jamaican dialect for coloring of the song:
Breda: brother; 'pon:upon; de:the; wi:our; ole:old; mi:me; fi:to; guh:go
Cum:come ... had all words recapitulate to the Jamaican dialect even young Jamaicans would
have been alienated --- for the language was not encouraged in our homes where it was
considered bad talking. It is being revived through academics at the UWI again.

Ripples in the Sea

When I see this Moon and gaze deep into the stars,
My mind wanders as I search for where you are.
Looking up, looking down, this enormous Sea is where I can now be found.
Standing alone at the Ocean’s edge and hearing its roar,
My heart pounds and aches for so much more.
Gazing deeper and deeper out into this vast blue Sea,
I can gather myself with this soul that was given to me.
Ripples in the Sea are all that my eyes can see.
One by one they collide with force to touch what was given to me.
Infinity with the depths of this Sea,
This is what the Moonlit Ocean conveys to the truth inside of me.
Standing alone and afar from the depths of this Sea,
Ripple by ripple captures the every breath that I have inside of me.
Oh how they carry every single thought away from the insides of me!
Reflections of our Moon spread across this glimmering Sea.
Endless and endless ripples!
This vision I know I will forever see!
I hold my breath and carry a true smile,
Searching for that last ripple to reach its hundredth mile.
Alone I stand at the edge of this Sea,
The depth of this Ocean covers over me.
I wonder and wonder can I truly hold what was given to me?
So if ever in search for that which you know you believe,
Please remember that I left me standing with the ripples in the Sea.
One by one they collide crashing directly into me.
I stand with a force that was given just for this person that lives inside of me.
Come to me! Please touch what is on the inside of me!
Feel what has been given just for the love of me!
So if ever in doubt for that which you truly know you believe,
Look deeper and deeper out into this incredible huge Sea.
The ripples one by one know you will believe.
They touch, they feel, they hear what is left standing out by the Sea,
And that my friend is the life that God had already chosen for the soul that lives inside of me.

Forever-Part 2

Pacabells cannon starts to play. The gates open and everyone looks my way. Beautiful black and red roses line the red carpet that leads to you. You look amazing tonight too. I look at my white dress as I step into the setting sun. The light catches the black sparkles and roses on my dress and makes me look beautiful, makes me feel like one. A black rose on this beautiful LA sand. A black rose that belongs to a wonderful man. I slowly walk down the aisle. I walk up to you and I smile. There's black and red roses on the alter and I get up ther. I can smell their sweet fregrance in the warm evening air. The paster starts as I look at you. You say you vouls and I say mine too. You say "I do," and I do the same too. You slip yet another beautiful ring on my finger and kiss me so sweetly. We hold hands and walk back down the beautiful rose lined aisle.

We walk to the peir where there are beautiful lights hung up everywhere. I spin to look at the beauty and you lean in close to me and say, "wait here." You walk up to the DJ and request and smile as a familure tune comes on. I continue to smile and I take your hand. you walk me back out onto the beautiful sand. "Our first dance," you say. My smile gets bigger when I here Amazed starts to play. You pull me closer to you as we start to move from side to side. My nourvousness is hard to hide. "You okay beautiful?" you ask softly as you gently run your hand through my hair. "Yeah baby, I'm fine," I say as I see people gather around and stare. We dance and we sway sweetly and quietly. We kiss and dance slowly. We kiss again and you start to sing along with the song. I've been waiting for this day, I've been waiting so long.

We'r walking on the beach again. hand in hand. you still in your tux, I'm still in my dress. This is our future. Together. Forever. The setting sun catches my ring. It shines brightly. "I love you," I say and we kiss again. "I love you too," you say and gently pick me up.

You carry me back up to the house. You carry me up sairs and lay me on our bed. You lay beside me and gently kiss my head.

We lay there and talk for hours and hours. We smile and laughas our future stretches on in front of us.

Whatever I am, I just accept

Amongst the countless grains of sand I sit and gather some in hand A moonless sky is up tonight Glittering stars with all their might The grains of sands I dare compare To the stars above to which I stare The mind assumes it comprehends Although it only makes amend Am I a figment or just a dream? Or maybe just a being supreme Do I exist and does it matter As time passes and things get darker And what is time and how do we measure A second, a minute or something bigger Can we equate our life to be? Something as simple as energy I have no answers to all there is Nor do I wish to even perceive Whatever I am, I just accept As answers remain quite inept ©Elisabeth Dubois – Dec, 2011

Rebellious Child Of The Sea

Rebellious young child of the sea,
Why do you always flee
From admitting yourself wrong,
And still letting your heart be filled with envy and pride?
Why do you glide away
From friend to friend?
Seems like whatever you do will always end.
I hear you are rebellious against His Word
And that you allow astrology and deep intrepretations to be thy guide.
Everyone says that you are just that way,
Because you believe you're forever a child,
Yet contradictingly,
You say you're a child of The Lord,
If so, why are you some times impure and insecure?
Thy answer is, "I am free to be what I want to be..."
"For Jesus' salvation is for everyone including me..."
"Although I run away, my soul clings onto friends and misses them dear..."
"I'm usually not myself around others, because I have one small fear..."
"I pray every night, asking for His forgiveness and loving light,"
"And I also have this continuous inner fight..."

THE STEADFAST FORCE GUIDING ME

No one can see the steadfast force
guiding me toward infinite peace,
an untroubled and limpid sea...
with glittering, foaming waves!

Some call it faith, I call it strength;
and somehow leads me to believe in destiny...
that the spirit cannot be broken easily
when the foundation is built on courage!

I strum my guitar and sing Alleluia, and as
I carefully walk...I can't ever stumble
on a smooth road, where evil is not present...
to give a sign of premonition to an ever-faithful!

I go past the pear' orchards in a remote farm,
and the pheasants sit in the golden branches;
the fruits look so succulent inviting me to taste them,
others have wished to savor such a sweetness!

A surge of sublime joy swells inside like that of songs,
and gracefully I sing them by allowing sustenance...
the steadfast force guiding me to enjoy the supreme moments
as if sighting a supernova, which will not lose its brilliance!

An oath of obedience I have made to God,
and being humble, I will honor Him repeatedly...
in all kinds of prayers and proclaim Him Lord
whose hand is the steadfast force guiding me!

Spring holiday fever

Daffodils bunch, spring has sprung,
Sun raises higher to waken sleepy heads;
No time for hibernation now as spring fever hits, -
create time to get together; go fly a kite,
or sit and chill, make daisy chains.

Let the sunshine bring warm sunny days.
In meadows baby lambs take their first steps;
whilst mad March hare hops and plays
with baby bunnies dotting the green fields
of the countryside.

A season where everything wants to bloom,
time to trim those lawns and weed again;
and all just in time before spring rains
will once more aid those thirsty
flowers and bulbs as they grow.

For it is now that gorgeous butterflies
flutter gracefully by giving nature a helping hand;
pollinating the kingdom while watching little chicks -
crack open their Easter eggs, just in time
to join in the madness of this happy holiday season.

Exhalted

I saw the Sun and the Moon take a stance in the universe.
And an unknown Star placed over them was put in charge.
The whole entire inhabitants scattered themselves at large.
And all the lands and seas became separated by a diverse.

The Sun Shined brightly in the west never to set in a curse.
The Moon gleamed fully bright to the east as the surcharge.
The door had been widely opened and many came by barge.
The stress was great because the world went into a reverse.

Fate and destiny was being dished out like a deck of cards.
Skies lit up and the Stars came back out like never before.
And the palm trees took up to the seas like standing guards.
And from this stemmed growth from that one opened door.

The Sun and Moon are exalted above and beyond you all,
And so is the Star in charge of those that flaw in its thrall.

Aswim in love

I have been redeemed
from young love's wreck.
The call and beck of your heart:
redeem, heal.
Numbed the feel
and lie of unwanted/
unworthy.
Soul scurvy
was every thought
in mind
and heart.

But I start again
knowing love is all that is eternal.
And as a kernel of truth infects
this barren field of mine,
another line is drawn
in the dirt between
truth and lie.
Claw and tooth they fight
for the victory of my Amen.

Do you ken?
That a thousand lies
are like the sand on the shore?
And sure they abound,
but truth is the surf
in which we swim,
and dim is that sand
beneath our bellies.
And under the current,
the lies ever recurrent
surface once more.
Only to be washed,
lost again.
As the tide pulls us away once more...

Tell me son
What happened to you
Please take your time
I wish to hear you through

    I was out on patrol
    Looking for improvised devices
    Their made of plastic now
    For modern sacrifices

    But this one was different
    It was set on remote
    Triggered at distance
    As the enemy gloat

    Catapulted, bleeding
As i land on the sand
    My face lacerated
    As are my hands

    My left hand has gone
    As are my eyes
    My emotions are drained
    I can no longer cry

    I am flown home
    To Edwards Air Base
    Not the way i left
    A new tomorrow i face

My brave young son
I shall cry for you
Yes tomorrow is new
But we will see it through

    As he wipes his tears
His son says to his father
    Tell me your story again
    So my thoughts again gather

Well it was so long ago
And although i am old
The horrors of wars
Should always be told

It was the 6th of June
1944
The day the war had turned
And what we fought for

I was one of thousands
As we hit the beaches
Under heavy fire
Bodies bleeding, bodies bleached

After being pinned down for hours
We finally made a breakthrough
Their lines broken
Our determination pursued

Our objective, Bayeux
To cut off the road to Caen
Re-assemble and group
As we mean to go on

We were on the outskirts
As a 109E attacked
My platoon was strafed
As its bullets impact

I was hit three times
In my legs and chest
Shipped back home
Asking why i was blessed

After the war
In the Army i stayed
As an injury councillor
For other wars have been played

          Father and son stood together
          Hugged for tomorrow
Yes, there will be more wars
And what they bring is sorrow

The Peek chap. 2

As we moved through the gate, many people I did see,
Talking, laughing, here and there, but none of them saw me.
I began to be concerned, until I felt a squeeze,
Suddenly I understood and felt again at ease.
Without words he let me know, about my special case,
God allowed me a visit, to look around the place.
This will be my home, when my time on earth is done,
But this is just a peek, for my race is not yet run.

So, I stored this away, in the back of my mind,
Eager now to see, this Home that God designed.
First to catch my eye, the color of the street,
It was purest gold, but smooth like honey sweet.
The gold was like a glass, near transparent through,
Reflecting all above it, and with a golden hue.
In my mind I wondered, how many roads were here,
Instantly within my head, I saw a map appear.

As we traveled up the road, and then atop a rise,
I was not prepared for the sight that met my eyes.
Never have I dreamed, and I'm sure I'll never forget,
Water so clean and pure, through it's furthest depth.
Spreading south and farther west, as far as I could see
Was Heaven's own sweet ocean, called the Crystal Sea.
Now I was floating in the air, with someone holding on,
But I felt weak of knee, and my breath was nearly gone.

As I gazed upon this sight, my eye was drawn in deep,
Such peace I felt well up inside, I couldn't help but weep.
The explanation came to me, of this Sea wide and broad,
To it flows both day and night the very essence of God.
Ahead we'll find the only River that fills this Sea that's known,
The River of Life Eternal that flows from God's own Throne.
I watched the waves lap the shore and felt a rhythm strong,
The unending tide of Love and Hope that fills Creation's Song.

Aswim in love

I have been redeemed
from young love's wreck.
The call and beck of your heart:
redeem, heal:
Numbed the feel
and lies of unwanted,
unworthy.
Soul scurvy
was every thought
in mind
and heart.

But I start again
knowing love is all that is eternal.
Even as a kernel of truth infects
this barren field of mine,
another line is drawn
in the dirt between
lie and truth.
Claw and tooth they fight
for the victory of my Amen.

Do you ken?
That a thousand lies
are like the sand on the shore,
and sure they abound,
but truth is the surf in which we swim,
and dim is that sand beneath our bellies.
And under the current,
the lies ever recurrent
surface once more.
Only to be washed,
lost again.
As the tide pulls us away once more...

MY GIFT TO DENISE

Denise is barely twelve and smart,
she has been an orphan for sometime,
but since her mom passed away,
she grew up as lonely child...
generosity was instilled early
in her little, empty heart.

She made her first paper star
when Sirius, the brightest one,
appeared and hung over
the twinkling, navy blue horizon...
thinking of her mother's illness,
and to her she was a pretty princess.

And with love and eagerness, Denise
sang a melancholic song every evening,
feeling her presence with that smiling face;
other girls had mothers to sing them lovely lullbyes,
so Sirius was deeply touched, and seeing
her loneliness got some nightgales to lull her to sleep.

I've made a plea today, through the Archangel Gabriel,
to ask God to give the star, Sirius, to Denise,
and in return I would do many a good deed;
and tell everyone the wonderful news with a thrilling voice,
and would the Almighty, who made this gem to gleam,
grant me another wish...a wish perhaps too impossible?

Nights passed, and no heavenly message was sent to me,
and Gabriel never returned to ease my restlessness and fear;
one night as I fell asleep...his voice ordered me to listen,
" Your Father has granted your wish...He has seen a sincere love;
now Sirius is Denise's star!" And waking up from that vision,
I looked outside and there she was gazing at it with awe!

Entered in Lind-Marie Bariana's contest, " Shining Star "

Rhymed Narrative-CAMELLIAS FOR AMELIA

She is a widow, never wanting to marry again, never defiling her vows,
her five children have moved to other parts of the United States;
and they seldom visit her, except on the very special season of Christmas,
when she adorns her home with garlands and lights to honor the Child Jesus...

Her name is Amelia, a petite lady from Andalusia, whose passion is writing poems,
and her Spanish accent is somewhat heavy, but the words are clear and precise;
on long summer's nights she speaks of her native land...meadows covered with camellias,
and tells tales of Columbus and the Conquistadors with feathered helmets...

She was quite beautiful in her younger days, daises in her dark, lustruos hair,
and sea-colored eyes that resembled the Mediterranean Sea, which brought her nostalgia;
and she often wore a folklorist costume of stripes of bright orange and yellow like her flag,
and now she's confined to a wheelchair looking sad...who has camellias for Amelia?

This past spring I planted a dozen of camellias plants in the empty and barren lawn,
hoping they would bloom when she would stare at the huge Atlantic Ocean;
and with eyes as sharp as a youngster, Amelia would see her beloved Spain,
and those lush meadows covered with camellias to bring her bitter-sweet pain.

In the quite hours of an early August' morning, Amelia rose to say her prayers,
and with the rosary in her devoted hands, she peaked outside and surprisingly smiled;
a beautiful garden of camellias appearing in front of her joyous eyes... she was so delighted,
but she couldn't go outside and caress them, but thought to herself, " Someone cares! "

White man came, took everything

They sailed from ports
From Europe's past
To Ancient Civilisations
How long would they last

Genoa, Santander
To name just two
Galleons, traders
Who helped who

Distant lands
So far from their home
Indigenous tribes
Whose kings they'd dethrone

Aztec and Inca
Civilisations iconic
Along came the white man
Chronic

Pillaged for riches
To send back home
To fat bellied monarchs
Whose throne's groaned

Indigenous culture
Stripped from their land
Preached new culture
Forced to understand

Great civilisations
Of this planets past
With wanton greed
Would never last

Civilisations modern
Whose next on the list
New Guinea tribes
White mans twist

To look back
At the carnage thrust
White mans greed
Was their only must

For all the lands
Who felt their sting
White man came, took everything

RAIN FALLING IN OCTOBER

It's so mild in the quite suburbs
with rain falling in October,
and unable to sleep, I face
insomnia for certain;
rain, keep on falling and let me hear
that steady, pelting sound on
the closed windows....a melody for
the saddest song should be written.

I must choose the right mood,
a minor scale to match this melancholy,
and a slow tempo growing into a crescendo,
and I could even throw in a scherzo;
and transport it with a C Major to smooth
some sadness out of the melody,
which tomorrow somebody
will hum, or whistle by learning the easy tune.

Hoping this song will be a hit,
thanks to the falling rain
in October for the sudden inspiration...
when I couldn't think of anything else!
Wishing the rain would stop at six,
so I could see the rising sun across
the eastern sky and listen to the lark
that built his nest under my windowsill.

It's past sunrise, and the shimmering clouds hesitate to leave,
and with nothing to look forward to... I must believe
that the rain falling in October,
can teach me the game of solitaire;
and pinned against my warm pillow,
I don't have anything to share but sorrow!
Flap your wide wings, friendly lark and repeat my song,
note by note; and without a lead sheet, I can't play it for very long...

WEAVES

Weaves with such ease
Eternal seas and suns into One
Avenues of harmless fun
Venture in, the surfs up some.
Equal marks of day and night
Shorter ways to the longest light
Seems to save time…
Eave emits a Vernal rhyme
Venture into my mind.
Autumn signals the same
Eternally we see without shame
We ARE the intended perfection

Of God’s most loving devotion
We are Creation.

Palms by the Sea

Oh this Sea from left to right,
How my mind gathers your visions to my sight.
You clouds stray from over here to over there,
And my lungs fill deep as they gather you into my air.
I am the neutral zone with all of my love that I share
The “Palms by the Sea” give my visions their true light!
In each I can see myself inside of a seemingly height.
The Palms by the Sea are my only solemn oath I fight!
Up inside of the tallest tree I shall surely come,
Your Earth, your Moon and your Sun I shall make them all come undone!
I am you as you breathe my life and it is your love that I shall proclaim in the moment I seize!
Up inside of you I am proclaiming my every single genuine need.
The “Palms by the Sea” guard the shores for my more, my all, or even none!

Dreams

Dreams are the only
after life we know:
the place where the children
we have become;
there are as many leaves as
in their migrations
as birds whose deaths we learn of
by the single feather
left behind: a clue
a particle of sleep
caught in the eye
they are as irritriviable as sand
when the sea creeps up
its long knife glittering
in its teeth
to claim it's patrimony
sometimes my father
in knickers and cap
waits on that shore,
the dream of him
a wound not even morning can heal.

Tomorrow is Another Day

The first snow of the year, fell hard and fast
Creating a winter wonderland to last
Snow flakes danced as wispy winds blew
Snow drifts piled three feet high and flew
Capturing the view so breathtaking, I could've cried
Misting eyes held, by nature’s design,
A beautiful scenery as those seen in dreams
The schools were closed, the theaters too
Most stayed at home, hardly a soul on the streets
Tall oak branches laden with snow
Gave in to gravity’s continuous pull
The power was out, all restaurants closed
Salt trucks, front end loaders plowed the roads
The fireplace lit brought much glow and warmth
When sleep strolled in, I laid down to dream, and
Thought, “tomorrow is another day”.

Forever-Part 3

We get off the plane and smell the lovely air. Hawaii. One of the most beautiful places. I look at you and smile. "This place is beautiful," I say, spinning around. "Yes, it is," you say and pull me close. "I love you," I say. I love you too," you say and kiss me. Hand in hand we walk into the setting sun.

The sun's poking through the shades in our room. "Good morning beautiful," you say when I open my eyes. "Good morning," I say and smile. "I've got a surprise for you," you say and smile. I look at you questionably. "Just get dressed and I'll show you." "Okay."

You take my hand and lead me down to the beach. "I heard you've always wanted to do this," you say and smile. You point to two goals. My face lights up. "Sand soccer," I say happily and look at you. You kiss me and smile, "I figured you'd like it." We walk down to the two goals and we'r e put on a team. We play for hours and hours.

When the game is over, we sit on the sand by the shore. "That was fun," I say and look at you. "Yeah, it was," you say and lean in and kiss me. "I love you," I say as you warp your arms around me. "I love you too," you say and smile. We watch the sun set on the beautiful sea before we head back to our room.

The next day we surf. We surf for hours. "This is great baby," you say as we sit on our boards. "Yeah," I say and smle, "you must really like doing this," I say and brush a srand of hair from your face. "Yes," you say and you lean in and kiss me.

Guide The Ship part 2

I know I keep on doing wrong moves
I keep failing...falling in a whirlpool of racketing frustration
I'm trying all my tries...so save yourself from drowning
Keep yourself entertained...there's no use of frowning

I guess I have to feel
My way out of trouble

You'll see what I have to show

Oh look! Look how the shores
Rise up in woe...blocking the view of sweet sunshine
It shows that light will always be with us
Though the raving waves swallow us alive

I guess I have to feel
Our way out of trouble

If you look even closer,
You will see fascinating colors
Shaping and forming in the life-giving sea

You'll see what I have to show

Finally we both see
A ship row on top of envious, captivity-like waves
Flowing gently and keeping itself away
From the lifeless,
bottomless water

You'll see what I have to show

I could see color brushed against an island sky
I grow more curious than ever
Where did that ship sail off to?
My mind is wanting to comprehend in this unsettling matter

So I have any idea of guiding?
I'm no skilled sailor or even
Have the knowledge to lead
The ship to its destiny...
It may tip over a couple of times

Here I am...lying down...complaining harshly
I guess this is my farewell to you,
Tackling expedition

It only takes a courageous try
To guide the ship and say goodbye
To the quarrel-stirring waves
I scream:
"Behave, you water balloon head!
Go on and dry up till your dead!"

And here I am again
Roaming and spacing out
Who knows where... I wonder in despair
This task unwillingly pulls me in

I'm here after the expedition,
Knocking on the entrance corridor
To learn some new sailor techniques

I'm here to simply learn
A tip to replenish
The possibility of the ship
Tipping and going overboard

This time I shouldn't discard
This remarkable opportunity

Never-Never Land

I stare out into this huge blue Sea,
And the waves, well, they just carry me.
My mind drifts so far away,
Because the Ocean is where I lay!
I’m off to never-never land once again,
So take my hand and let this journey begin!
I listen carefully to the Oceans roar,
The waves, well they just help me soar.
My mind relaxes with my day,
Because the Ocean is where I always lay!
I’m off to never-never land on a hunch for so much more,
So take my hand and let’s find new places we can both explore!
I can see blue water with big fluffy white rolls,
Waves, well they just capture my entire soul.
My mind just helpless with my day,
Well, it is the Ocean where I lay!
Off in never-never land I can always see,
A gigantic Ocean covering over me!
Far away in never-never land near the Ocean is where I always lay.
Lifeless in the sand is where I’ll always be.
So take my hand and be lifeless with me in the sand.
Together, just you and me on our journey to never-never land,
Just lifeless in the sand, together you and I and always we’ll be hand in hand!

Power of Choice

Who’s this kind fellow I’m beholding @ Facebook
Wearing a very nice apparel well-fitting for a Val Day’s
Service?
Am I a genuine brother to this good-looking lady
And hence where’d we quickly get to, to unite,
Exchange some few words, and say a dedicatory prayer?

If we’d planned to get to a brothel house some inmates
There’d come fast to us,

Why not forget all your norms, all raging storms
Get set your tents with some little cents, take these condoms
And wildly explore through whoredom?

Surf with gently your web browser, launch deep, find ex-friends
Without measure, Oh the pleasure, the thrill, just enjoy the
Power!

If we’d decided to get to the mosque, lo a most happy welcome
There’d await us; we’d get some water, wash our hands, our ear-lobes,
Our legs
We’d get in there with our earnest songs and prayers,
But remaining in separate quarters there’d be our sole choice
And too difficult a solemn task.

If we’d agreed to get to church ushers there’d smile with us
We’d hear the din of Jesus’ disciples who told the violent
Blind man to live in silence, they might see us in a panorama
Our blessings would seek to grab from us like clear manna,
Distract our attention, retract our petition
While to God we express our real penitence;

And here do we stand to affirm our hearts desire
We wouldn’t relent in efforts our gifts to present,
We’d call upon Christ, and surely get out from the mire.
We wouldn’t stay here long to stain the excellent aroma,
On our gold, our frankincense, our myrrh.

As joy and gladness are partners together
May our friendship last forever; these two virtues may
We never miss: Hold my hands my dear, grant me a hug
My beloved, but I need on my cheeks first a holy kiss.

Tea Party

Bring them a cup of sea for lighted candles
Tell them taste and tell, and tell, and tell
The ancient salt, the bitterness it kindles
While creation groans at the brink of hell.
Anyone can condemn the sea you know
I have seen it gutting the land, have seen
Rocks becoming sand, and sand is no screen
For water. The land melts like meals of snow

O let us criticize the stars, moon and wind
Let us analyze and build nothing new again
We cannot replace what we have lost to sin
Let us excite our minds in seasons so vain.
Each fault should come with a fixer's plan
Each crowd should go home with wings
For joy, but the sea in their eyes stings
Children hope, the salt is in the vein of man.

Only a prayer can promote the peace sought
Diligently among the sad broken of the able
Wisdom as a dream in butterfly net is caught
The cup of sea sits still, a picture on the table
Of old Daedalus and our patience in dust
The mall is a symposium of the noise remaining
The tirade of the tyrant sea in tidal groaning
Tell and tell and tell splintering sprays of trust.

And this cup ties itself like leaf to old stumps
Of history, evoking things not properly told
Before. The serpent unswaddles all the slumps
That avarice us chasing pictures of fools' gold
O that I could banquet your hearts on faith
Better than promises, or Icarus wax dripping
Like sweat. The seas sore salt has no diluting
O let it go, the millennium is late, late, late.

My Filthy Fire

My ship of dreams I build no more
I hack to fragments my vain desire
To toss like trash and be ignored.
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

To sail the seas and not return
My ship sinks in the straight of dire.
Its keel has split, its hull to burn
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

To hear the Sirens song too long
Uncharted seas with sails which tire.
With all my dreams and fancies gone
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

I pondered from my window long
And fanned my passion ever higher.
I cursed "His" name to sing my song.
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

For fortuned Isles my eyes did cry.
My dreams I leave to whom I sire
For I am cremated before I die
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

Resurrecting souls my dreams has killed
To pull myself from deep quagmire.
To warm my heart which time has chilled.
Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.

It is for sure, not springtime here
Shorter days, how bare "His" trees.
Looking back pulls eyes to tear
For waste and loss of all my greed.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire
Now as to turn from what it seems
Left to me a works of priers
Never to sail my ship of dreams.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.
Heap high this waifs, to be no loss.
No wisdom from my follies liar
Burn Oh! Burn you holocaust.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.
My sins may perish with my ships.
To right my wrongs I now aspire.
So let them burn without my kiss.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.
This cord of which I gladly burn
Dreams or follies of mud are mire
No loss to me and no concern.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.
Stream me toward sweet isles of peace
Bright flash and gleam of my attire
Shall fall in lour of my decease.

Upon my filthy, driftwood fire.
When in my grave I take my task
Point for my Lord my vain desires
In chilling embers and cold gray ash.

Oceans Judgement Day

There she sits quietly stalking

Waves of sin behold the mocking

As tides of grin now stir a calling

For its awake release dark barking

Why do you allow its call

As she is nowhere beyond the wall

Waves of power etching a stall

For you to lie as she takes it all

Wind so strong from devils breath

Blowing tides to release your death

Ships of souls creating wrath

For nows the time of the Oceans path

The waves incur a special deed

As you declare the end of your breed

For watch her power rise as you plead

And watch your wrists end as they bleed

The stormy night now in brew

Your soul in flight for its untrue

As they unite for days taboo

The storm is done now you are through

Wind so calm as you pass light

Coming home for second fright

As all the souls untrue unite

Judgement day from Oceans bite

Thank You ,Lord, This Christmas

Another holiday season.
Lots of success.
Legacy being built.

People may hate on me.
Refuse to let them shake me.
All things work together for my good.
In Your plan for my life.
Seeds being sown.
Everyday is a winding road.
So, I’ll roll with the punches.

Tough days I had this year.
Owe mighty praises to You mighty Father.

You helped me do things that I never thought I could do.
Only You are the key to prosperity. You Father,
Unlocked the doors that I had locked due to my negativity.

Forever-Part 4

We get off the plane, back in LA. We drop our stuff off at home and go out for the day.

You wait outside the bathroom door. "Baby," I say. You stop breathing. "What is it?" I slowly open the door. "Yes." I say and smile. "Yes!" you scream and pick me up. You spin me around and kiss me.

9 months later I step out of the car. 3 of us this time. Isavella. Our first daughter. "She looks just likeher mom," you say and smile. "With her daddy's eyes," I say and look at you. "I love you," you say. "I love you too," I say and gently kiss me.

We're older now we've made it a long way. We sit on the deck and watch the sun set. "All or nothing," I say and hold your hand. "All or nothing," you say and lead me down to the sand. "30 years is a long time," you say to me and pull me close. " So is forever," I say. You hit play and Amazed comes on. "We'll make it that far, I swer," you say as we start to dance. We look at Isabella playing in the sand. "I know baby," I say and smile.

We'll last forever. Nothing will break us. We'll always be together.

Together forever.

I EXIST FOR A PURPOSE

I have many qualities and talents
that make me popular and likeable for my kindness,
and unpretentious gallantry;
ask me if I'm blue-blooded like the gentry!

I exist for a purpose and I intend reveal my cause;
honesty and shrewdness will guard me against errors...
do weeds grow in a well-maintained and embellished garden?
A grubby garden attracts gloominess, mine appeals to sunshine!

I have traveled down rough and dark roads,
grabbing the attention of bad-wishers,
who handed me gooseberries, not gorse;
it was a clumsy course swarming with rocks and thorns!

I exist for a purpose that puts fear into my unseen enemies,
who grumble and judge more than the-assumed-righteous-ones,
they are obsessed with their perfection and like to impose it on me;
but do they know that I control my destiny by spinning my fortune' wheel?

My belief is not to accept anything of worthless beauty,
I love to hide myself in the grain fields, and shake their stalks...
to celebrate a harvest more bountiful than sunflowers;
and I imagine myself gorging on fresh-baked bread daily!

O golden grains, your seeds satiate many that earn their hard living,
saying grace at mealtime...as God gives them His blessing;
and those hands that cut the husks off are much detested
by the elite with a feeling of inferiority and a lack of gratitude!

I exist for a purpose to bring glory to the Heavens,
that magnificently dazzle upon me in times of desperate need;
pity is an unacceptable word whenever they attempt to make a deal;
I change no direction and try not to fall into the trap of moral weakness!

THE BEAUTIFUL GHOST

Strolling along the seashore
Leaving her footprints in the sand
The tide washes over the shore
It was like the footsteps had never been.

She shades her eyes and scans the horizon
For a ship that is supposed to come in
That carries her precious loved one
She has waited for so long to see again.

She watches as the ship sails nearer
Breathless as her anticipation grows
The ship docks and the passengers unload
She ask for him but no one knows.

Oh where oh where can her loved one be
He has been gone for such a very long time
He could not have just forsaken her
For their love was deep and strong.

The last to exit the ship was the captain
He walked slowly as he desended down
He did not sem to notice the beautiful lady
Silently waiting in her white wedding gown.

Rumor has it they were to be married
By the Captain of the highest rank
When the high winds of a raging storm
Capsized the ship and it sank.

Her body washed ashore, but his was never found
It is said she still roams the seashore
Waiting fervently for her missing groom
Even though she realizes she will see him no more.

Throw Jonah Overboard!

God has already prepared a big sea fish;
So, throw Jonah overboard.
You will make promises to this God
After you throw Jonah overboard.
The wild squall will finally be calmed
When you throw Jonah overboard.
Pray to God for what you're about to do
And throw Jonah overboard.

You won't be able to row back to land;
So throw Jonah overboard.
Though the sea is raging violently,
Throw Jonah overboard!
The guilty man told you what to do;
So throw Jonah overboard.
Ask him why the ship's about to break;
Then, throw Jonah overboard.

Cast your lots to see on whom it falls;
Then, will you throw Jonah overboard?
Tell him to call on his God for help;
Later, you'll throw Jonah overboard.
Go below deck to wake the deep sleeper
And throw Jonah overboard.
Don't throw your cargo off the ship.
Throw Jonah overboard!

No need to pray to any other god;
Just throw Jonah overboard,
For the God of earth who sent this storm
Wants you to throw Jonah overboard.
He told you he was running from God.
So, throw Jonah overboard!
Or give back his fare to save yourself,
And don't let Jonah board.

' The Siren Odyssey

Once, A Time, I Was Accused To Be
Like A Siren of The Sea
As Ones In Ulysses’ Odyssey
but, No … That Was Not Me …

Those Sirens, Lured To Death
They Were Lethal Temptresses
Like Myth of Cursed Lilith
Or Like Real-Life, Eve Transgressed

They, With Beauty, and Beckoning Ropes Hung
Bound, Beguiled-Men in Rose-Blossom Arms
And Spoke with Honeycomb-Tongue
But Whose Hearts, Held Hidden Harm-Swarms …

No … I Should Not Be Compared
To Those, with Honor So Blurred
I Have Only Shared and Cared and Bared
… So, In What Way, Have I Erred ?

It Took Many Years To Be
And Much Salt-Water To Rinse Free
From What Others Say and See
And Drown Out Complexity

Yea, I Do Call, I Do Agree …
but, I Sing To The Brave and Eternity
And When I Pray … It Is Holy
And for A Soul's Safety, Only

Oh Yes, I Whisper, Clean and Sweetly
And My Tone Thrills or Trills So Softly
And My Voice Can Arch With Ecstasy
Or Timbrel in Throes – Dawn to Dusk, Sultry

And I Speak Words, As Perfumed Nard
Speak Words, That Leave A Silken, Silver Cord
Or Speak Words of Double-Bladed Sword
… After All, I Am A Female-Bard

And I Want To Learn and Recite More Victories
And Teach Each Other’s Verbatim-Stories
Discover Each Other’s Verbal-Mysteries
And God and My Lord’s Vocal-Oratories

And With The Moon, As Symbol-Shield of Light
Yes, I Rise To Conquer Oblivion-Nights
I Keep Faith and Courage, In Sight
Aglow for Good-Guys and Cowboy-Knights

I’m A Sensual-Woman, and of Sacred-Things
I’m Emotional, Yet … Aim For Deep-Think and Dreams
Now, Some Called The Lord A Glutton, for Eating and Drinking ( Matt. 11: 19 )
So Some Call Me A Siren, ‘Cause They Want Me To Stop Speaking …

But, Worthy, Be The Ear, That I Speak To
And Shyly Cry and Whisper … My Secrets To
And If Only A True-Higher-Calling, Will Do
Then, I’ll Sound, That Siren, For You …

This Is The Siren Song, You Hear
Not One, For You To Fear
My Volume, is not Too Loud, But Clear
Singing, Avoid Shadows, Avail Cheer ! !

No … I’m Not Some Fish-Tale Mermaid of The Sea
More Like A Lighthouse, Guiding To Rock, See: ( Deu. 32: 4 )
Ever Glowing, Ever Orbing … Audibly …
The MoonBee - Siren Odyssey

Once, A Time, I Was Accused To Be
Like A Siren of The Sea
As Ones In Ulysses’ Odyssey
but No … That ' Isn’t ' Me …

Jonah's Peril

      JONAH’S PERIL

I was told to go to Nineveh,
and denounce their wicked ways;
Instead I boarded a ship in Joppa Town,
Chose to disobey.
I fell asleep in the inner hold,
as a mighty storm ensued.
Sailors dumped cargo over board;
They asked: “What did you do?”
I was thrown into deep waters
In the middle of a raging sea.
A great big fish engulfed me…
from its belly I made my plea!
I fled the presence of my maker
to find a better way.
He ordered the waves and billows,
because I had gonse astray.
The men rowed hard to reach the shore
and cried out: “Please let us be spared!”
But the winds and storm continued;
They were frightened and in despair.
I was the cause of God’s anger
and was cast into the sea.
The fury of the storm calmed suddenly.
The sailors were then set free.

Who Woulda Thought?

Who woulda thought? He'd come from a lineage of whores Who woulda thought?
He'd way more than a sage-heal leper sores Who woulda thoght?while the
whole world mocked He'd be coming back from the sea of glass touched with
fingers of fire and the carpet-like moss banks of the River Of Life n' in no rank
taking leave of His Sapphire Throne pulling down the curtain of His emerald
rainbow just to visit this vine and revive dead fish of this discontent shore-Yeah
who woulda thought? But He said "My Thoughts are higher than yours and I was
The One who walked on the water the very same One who said Halt! to the
mighty oceans n' garnished starfish on the shores." Who woulda thought? He
could return at this very hour And not coming in words but in trumpet sounds with
angels on four corners n' comin' up outa the river and the dead reporting from
grounds n' 10,000 feet at the bottom bucket of the sea the seven thunders
cracking out His New Name-then He'd wrap His Hand n' rope in you and I

The Child Within

I’m all grown up Daddy and all I can do is keep looking back.
I’ve traveled a long road just to be standing here dead on this track.
Many of my tears have been laid to rest and my smile I now seek.
Bruised and battered I cover the little girl that grows inside.
Yellow blankets and satin pink pillows to comfort her when she’s weak!
She seeks to hide.

I’m all grown up Mama and all I can do is keep looking ahead.
I’ve rode the Oceans waves just to be alive and not feel so dead.
Many of my laughs have been put to a test and my smile I have never found.
She’s lost, but sound.

The child within, they all attack.
The child within, they are all meek.
The child within, they all fed.
The child within, they are all bound.

In a world so far away,
Treasures and castles were her path.
It is where she always went to play.
Beautiful gardens and flowing rivers is where she took her very first bath.
Like watering a tree, that little girl just grew and grew and grew.
Finally, she broke free and was clear from every single one of you.

Far on out to sea
      where you empty into me
horizon imperceptively
balances

Pain sails far
      on rip tide angry
out of reason

Hope floats waiting
      on swell and valley
glimmering ahead

Not behind.

The rage of the sea

The thrash of the waves stings my skin,
The angry winds are billowing in.
I can see the lightning and I hear the thunder,
The force of the sea has taken me under.
I desperately swam to reach the top.
Until I am safe, I will not stop.
Oh no, here comes a wave striking me again.
I refuse to allow the rage of the sea drown me in sin.

sailing to the end

SAILING TO THE END

Patiently sitting on this grave mute ship
On which time had cast a spell
Around her endurance on the water of life
Hindering her sustainance that she strife
Against the stormy nights which dwells
At the heart of the sea, compelling her to trip

Old as proclaimed by her once youthful job
To avoid wreckage she lowered her anchor
Paused for strength admist a great race
Which other vessels in the ocean now face
To the roar of the thunder, the sea cries for encore
While whirling was the wind taking us around his orb

Towards the habour of the sea of life
We sail hopelessly on its solitude for a sight
Or glare at the beauty that was said
To be visible not to the living but dead
The shortcut many have found was with stormy Nights
Over the vast sea but with one heart, we still drive

The Great Lands

A brother betrayed,
four a 2.60 sent.
Secrets were shared,
for a rounded
three pence,
four scores and,
seven's ink penz,
And aLion was drawn,
between two menz.

But I sea you.two.
You both I do.
Two by two,
I see you too.
Reds in Blue....
Seals reveal.
Eye sea the deal.
And the currant one say...
that a.current.see is real.

Reeds in the sun,
Sea the dayz fun,
Free the May sea.Sun.
And grow in the light.
Be.love.And take flight.

Together again,
A pride and a friend,
and together we stand,
as we love.The Day again.

The best of our heart,
our passionate skills,
in a May suns day,
we created the hills.
And the light in our eye,
Allume in the sky,
And together we stand,
too, gathered we stand,
and we.play in the sand.

Stories of old were mangled
when told and a message,
mistaken at best.
Such a mess.
Take heart once again,
be the best of a friend,
be together by hand,
And We Be.Again,
The Great Lands.

Homecoming...

We are each like snowflakes that have fallen from the sky, each one has fallen at
different times and none are just alike... they are all as unique and special in thier own
way.

As snowflake each falls to the ground some may stay for a while, some evaporate in
the wake of the morning sun.

Some snowflakes may get washed away by rain…some never even make it to the ground.
Each one of us are engulfed by what seems to be an endless journey here on earth
that will some someday, eventually will lead us all back home. No not one of us are alike,
each as different as those snowflakes that fall from the sky.

For just like the snowflakes that are here on earth for a short time? We too will have a
final day here on earth very soon.

When Angels will descend down from the heavens above and come to take us each back
home. For just like those snowflakes that fell to the ground and return to the sky that no one
ever sees.

You too will be taken up to the Pearly White Gates by the Angels with their
beautiful white gossamer wings... they will then rap you up in a purple robe...and place
upon your head a gold crown to wear.

Then the stars in the sky above will start to dance and dazzle… for those to see
who were left behind on earth…and trumpets will sound as the Angles will
sing songs of joy and great praise! They will all rejoice with cries of rapture that you
have return home to stay!

But up there in heaven there was no gold, silver or diamond paved roads for you to walk
upon only the soft clouds from where we all come from… but there was a gentle kiss
from our Father whom sat above in the heavens on high...as he spoke into
your ear and gave you a hug... and as he said to you in a soft voice, "Welcome
my lost snowflake, welcome back home."

My Walk With God

Clouds roll by and the rains come down
In the distance, lightening, rolling thunder.
Around me I see ... Nature ...Perfection,
Tended, beautified by Gods direction!

He smiles with love and pleasure to see,
Exquisite joy and life, happy and carefree.
The happy moments in life are few,I know,
Twas by His grace I enjoyed the show!

Oft times, my heart is heavy and I have't
the will to hum a song,
He gives me strength and courage, then I
Move right along!
To my garden, filled with plants, flowers
Rocks and trees.
I am surrounded by beauty and many memories!

He and I often walk along the ocean waters edge,
Peace and tranquility, ocean and sand meet.
Waves, frothy and white, break cool on my feet.

How very small I am, compared to the universe.
Wondrous creations, life under skies of blue,
Mysterious, marvelous wonders, our God can do!

At the ocean, vast and wide,I know who I am.
I am at peace, feet and toes sifting in sand,
I close my eyes, rest on Him, enjoy my space,
In this place and at this time, I am here
By Gods Love and Grace!

The Brothers, Jo

Standing there before the air,

A brother stood on high.

I remember the day,

When he couldn’t play,

And they forced him,

to say Good-bye.

Sold was He, to captivity,

And seeding the deed,

brother Jealousy.

But brothers know and

Those Brothers, Jo..?

They chose, just not to sea.

Looking now, two forgive,

Seeing how, they wish to live,

Knowing now, of what they did.

And standing there, seeing care,

A Brother stood on High.

I remember the day,

He forgave their way,

And loved them, under the sky.

It took a while, a test, a trial,

But Brothers once again.

From up on High, up near the Sky,

The Sun-shine in just then…

The Chubby Banana

The world was yellow. When I stepped off the plane –
The bright blazing sun beamed the tarmac and I was for some moments blinded.

A native child welcomed me.
She handed me a leaf’d crown, a banana and leant up to kiss my cheek.

That evening I slept.
In the morning I woke to a dazzling array of tropical bird song and aromas of
Nicaraguan coffee, melons and mango, fried yummy banana . . . . and the warm
sea –

I took a dip. Naked.
Something swam with me. Below me. Near me. Even, I think, right above me.

It began to rain bananas –
Astounding yes, indeed, but it hurt. One hit me on the back as I tried to swim
away and one hit me on the head.
They fell into the turquoise sea like rain drops . . .
I ducked under and dove beneath the yellow hail –
Swimming beneath a sea of yellow bananas that pelted my waves.
I thought that I would never eat another banana again if I could only stay alive.
Then I thought that perhaps it was good to rain bananas.
If that was so, sharks might wish to feast on the plethora of floating raining
bananas and not on a chubby limb that I use to swim –

I swam naked toward a dock, whilst being pelted still on my back and legs.
I finally reached the dock.
The native child was there.

Where is your crown, she asked.
I threw it away.
Why.
I don’t wear crowns, I told her. And I don’t eat bananas –

A Darkened Night

A darkened night with cool crisp air wafting about,
wind so strong it throws all in its way off route.

Relentless rain pours down so hard and fast,
one may wonder how long it will last.

Waves continue to crash and bang without any sign of rest,
our strength and will it begins to test.

Our sense of security is much like that of a boat,
on an angry ocean where we barely stay afloat.

The ocean and waves are like our burdens and pain,
battered and beaten we strive so hard to maintain.

So many times we get lost and don't know what to do,
thus we must count on the savior to bring us through.

When our troubles resemble that of a relentless storm,
may we turn to Jesus for which our life he will transform.

For when the trials of life cause us to lose our sight,
always know that the savior will bring us through the darkened night.

Strengthen your stakes
Lengthen your chords
On the right and left
Ascend, break forth
‘Bove sea to land
Stretch forth to it
Extend your reach
Get over it
Just like a bridge
To barren cities
Rejoice and sing
When inhabited
Enlarge your tent
Lengthen your chords
Strengthen your stakes
Ascend, break forth
‘Bove sea to land
Stretch forth to it
Just like a bridge
Get over it.

My Ship to Sea!

To sea! –This Ship to sea! Her misty spray and heaving swells,
to her mirrored finish from winds which failed
vast, changing, enchanted, seas -swiftly sailed.
All salty, bitter, battered, brimming, brine
of all things vast, sky and sea, the Lord displays His majesty!
This vast emerald, embodied sea; keeper of time.
My sheet to hang for wind too find!

Of her brothers (lands and soils)
with mountain ranges vast and tall. Valleys
stretching far and far as man loves, hates, fights and toils -his greed
ending as sand, reclaiming, finding, falling, into salty seas to be.
Of voyages failed, lost, sunken ships unclaimed, un-tallies
her treasure chest she keeps, treasures deep, deeper, so deep
she guards it there in her depths to keep.

Hurricanes sling about her belt, ice draped about her poles
every extreme of time, space, sight, sound and depth
even more remains; unknown.
No flower blooms, its breath un-blown to fill a salty misty air--
no Hummingbird backs, bends or bows
she calls to hearts; hearts too hear, this sea, this sea forever there.
I pray for eyes to see, for souls so feel to care!

From far off, far distance candle lit towers of Spain
to looming mirage gifted, lifted isles of peace
all her treasures, bones, secrets, souls, ghost remain
as her power and magnificence increase.
Yet! All brave sailors voices ring o'er her wave –repeat, repeat!
If God is father, then mother this sea shall be.
To sea! To sea!–My Ship to sea!

Riding The Eye

Never felt such trepidation
Lost in black mountains
Crashing over the port house
Suddenly underneath
Blasting through the surface
Into the maelstroms wrath
In power tossing the little craft
Of sticks and tack and glue
Coming apart the brine leaking
Away the hope of six men
Fighting the seas head on
Ranges of breakers smashing
Glass giving way to the Atlantic
Oceans of souls lost within
A watery grave beckoning
Softly fighting for breath
Heaving for a chest full
Of wind with rain rolling
Over the trawler on her side
Racked and stressed moaning
In terror begging to any god
Forgive the ignorance made
Calculating the way home
Where she is standing on the point
Of desperation looking beyond
The edge boiling over
Capsized and taking on water
Filling each compartment
Where I lock my wishes away
From the coast of the Cape
Covering me as a death shroud
Over the eyes of the onlookers
Of the mast lights
Going out the in the final trip
To the bottom descending
From heaven...
I shall protect you

Splendid Grace

She was a most splendid ship,
Moved on the high seas with
such elegant grace,
A tribute to her makers,
The human race....

Yet stark cold waters
Embrace her now,
Broken spine,
Shattered bow...

And little fishes
Her first class guests now...
Rusting iron hulk..
We wonder how....

The sea the enemy?
The sea the Queen?
Stronger than
Whatever's been?

We've much to learn...
Humility first...
Pride and arrogance,
A human curse...

I suppose it took
the sea
Well over a billion years
To be what it seems
A pool of eternal tears

No small feature is this
Upon this singular earth...
How many more such wonders
Did God birth?

No more questions,
No more doubt
It's there before us
It does almost shout...

"All This, and More...
I've left for you...
This sea so deep...
This sky so blue...
So if you doubt
My existence at all
Be prepared to take
The biggest fall!"

The Sea and Sky

The sea spoke to the sky and said,
“Join me if you will.
For the beauty of both
Shall entice man
And lure them
Right to where
I want them.”
The sky replied with a no,
“If I help you lure them
They will die without hope.
They will not have seen the beauty
That we truly offer,
That we truly provide.”
“But, we can then control”
Said the sea, to no avail.
The sky exclaimed,
“It is beneath me
To waste their lives.
I provide them sunshine
For life.
I provide them rains
For growth.
I provide them eternity
For when they look upon me,
They will gaze in wonder and awe.
For I am eternal
And that they will see
When their time comes.”
With that, the sea grew rough,
Showing it’s anger.
The sky reminded,
“Churn as you will
But without me
You, too, will dry,
But I choose not to do that,
Unless provoked.”
The sea calmed
And man sailed
upon the sea.

Ocean

I find peace there in her gentle lapping waves.

I find strength in her power and tireless churning.

I find life there, her children the gull and the whale.

Her salty waters rinse clean my soul and invigorate my spirit.

Her sands scrub the dirt from my feet.

She makes it unnoticable that they have traveled so many miles.

Her presence touches my soul in a place too deep to fathom.

When I am weary I turn to her and she is always there.

Who Am I

What is it like to be alone,
Floating in a ocean,
Lost out at sea,
Would you taste the salty air?
Would you swim the salty waters?
Would your way always be lost?
Or would u find your way home...
What person would you be?
Would you die without worry?
Would you put up the good fight?
Would you sink into despair...
Would you remember your life...
with regret or joy..
Would you find religion...
or lose all you believe in?
Who am I.. who are you?

The Ship part two

down deck, down deck, on and on-
such an awesome ship it had been-
100,000 tons, or more, I guess-
that it will sink seems such a sin-
this mighty ship afloat-
not much longer, I did know...
and even with her cold steel strength
down she would soon surely go,
to the sea she was nothing...
like a little twig, no task for her to snap....
the sea can always laugh at man-
when he falls into her deadly trap

despair kicked in, and sure
enough- despair was well deserved-
'cause death was facing me that night-
death that I had truely earned-
my soul was going down, way down
forever to be rightfully burned-

yes, it was foolish enough-
to challenge the sea-
and madness to kill the men-
now my poor luck to be the only one-
that's left-
to face a gruesome end

I leaned against a cold
engine room wall
in the deepest bowls of the ship-
I was consigned to what was approaching-
I waited for my end to come-
hoping, asking God, only it be quick...
my concern wrapped around me,
very, very thick...

the water's cascading now, my friend-
it's going down so fast!
eyes turned up in search of God-
I knew my fate was cast...
my Lord, I hope you accept this fool-
however, I'm dying slow-
the sea, it hurts my lungs so bad-
and the pressure is just so-
I'm dying, Lord, I'm dying!
Oh, sh_t, I'm goin' down-
Dear Lord above, around, beneath me-
please accept me as I am-
a fool, a repented sinner. a victim
and a murderer too-
I'm sure you can take me-
please show me that this is true-

my bones are now at rest-
in this lonely, sunken tomb of steel
whitened, weathered, beaten-
hopefully someday may to be raised-
to my surprise, I find,
below the seas- so many great comrades-
we number in countless billions-
as do those that live upon the earth
and now I understand, too late, perhaps-
just what a human life is worth.

AFTER THE TURMOIL...HOPE!

After turmoil...hope!
A such needed continuity
of those forgotten aspirations
left undone...left locked in a steel box
that nobody thought of finding!
Pages written with asperity,
by now...they should be yellowed, out-dated
and without its formal meaning;
by morning...the realization will be complete
for this misunderstood one who sought solidarity!

After the turmoil...hope!
An unwelcomed message
from a by-gone age...
a persistent vocation
suffocated by rage and hate!
When the secret is revealed on stage,
many will feel hostility...
and change their mentality
about ingnorance and indignation!

After the turmoil...hope!
A hope outlasting frustration,
a reality to marvel at and entice...
without doubting its inner force!
After the darkness retreats itself in agony,
a brilliant light is my witness to this victory:
I defiantly fought ...tossed ashore by a violent sea,
again, I persisted with vindication
and won the fierce fight against the wind and currents,
because Someone was pulling me out with a rope!

Sailing

Jesus was in the boat with us,
And a furious storm still came.
He was asleep in the stern
Through the whirling winds
And whipping waves; he rested
As the waters swamped the boat.
It began sinking and swirling.
He slept through our frantic panic
Until I smacked his leather cushion
And shook him and woke him up.
"Master, Master don't you care if we die?"
I yelled with bulging eyes in an anxiety attack.
He waded through the water and winds
To the mast and cried with a loud voice,
"Be quiet! Be still." We stopped wrestling.
There was immediate calm. The squall ceased.
The winds hushed. The waves died down.
Jesus looked around at each of us and said,
"Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
We looked around at each other in amazement
That even nature would do whatever he commanded.
What can't this man do? Why should we not trust him.
He had said to us, "Let's go to the other side of the lake."

Adrift

Like a man adrift at sea for many days
I have found myself away from the shore,
Shore; being understanding and solid ground
And wishing one day for a safe return.

In each thought as I drift, further away
I cannot help but wander in my mind,
Dreaming, hoping to find a sense of me,
Borrowing images of my past, for clarity.

At times, the water seems to be so rough;
Churning violent waves, mist-soaking sprays.
Drying in the overwhelming heat of the sun
Leaves me parched, hoping for the mist again.

Still afloat, no land in sight, only sea and sky
I turn to speak to only who would listen
And pray for my return, my safety, the strength
To go on, fight the elements and prevail.

Death of the Lochness Monster

I once thought I could make it home
Since I laid rope to walk upon.
It rose up high and took my life
And ripped my bowels like a knife.
The groping talons cut my throat
And threw my heart into a boat.
With nothing left but scattered seeds
Each bloodied leg fell in the weeds.
The gaping wound held ragged shape
Rich layered canvas formed a cape.
Thick fluids spread upon my face
Successively close breathing space.
Each tentacle lay down the brush
All sails lay down to end my rush.
I saw a light and I could climb
They led and sang our monster rhyme.
