Now my tendrilled soul,
Has found its pergola-- Christ--
To wind its way up....

As the never world awaits me,
The lord darkness, his cloak now draped.
Haunting images that appear in dreams,
Invade the subconscious, till again I wake
Complative thoughts well before the dawn,
I walk the morning shore,
How many have stood on these same sands,
Reflecting the echoes of those no more.
And still the waves they pound the shore,
Relentless in their quest,
As they crash on the rocks with deafly roar,
White tipped and foaming zest.
Dawn breaks with gilded cotton clouds,
Waiting like courtiers to their king.
Gathering round the sovereign sun,
Bestowing his warmth on everything.
Would that life compare to the shore,
All worries get washed away.
Cares thrown to the four winds,
As on my knees I pray

I have a small gray rock placed by my bed
Each day it is the first thing which I see.
It stands on guard and watches over me.
Alone a gray, smooth rock, it stands on guard
Well weathered, polished stone, from wind-blown sand.
It was wind-blown and lost in dust of time.
I found this stone near covered with such sand.
It had lain lost, I think, since time began.
Without another rock to call a friend.
There was no other rock, one stone alone.
The God of sand, I may well keep this thought.
No other stone to judge its size I found.
I thought at first it was a grain of sand
One stone alone, in all this sand and lost.
This stone would save me form this sea of sand.
My guarding rock this rock became my friend.
My rock I love and loves me back, my stone.
It sits, it guards me, guards me from the thought--
I am alone in all this sea of sand.

In winter’s white, as angels cry
for early spring to warm the wind,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned.
For early spring to warm the wind,
at Valentine’s romantic calls,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls.
At Valentine’s romantic calls,
rebirth of nature’s light divine,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls,
and blossoms pastel shades recline.
Rebirth of nature’s light divine,
when day equals the hours of night,
and blossoms pastel shades recline,
to hail the queen of May in light.
When day equals the hours of night,
a summer’s sun will come to play,
to hail the queen of May in light,
we chant and sing along the way.
A summer’s sun will come to play,
so life can grow as gods decreed,
we chant and sing along the way,
with warmth and light our hunger feed.
So life can grow as gods decreed,
the rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
with warmth and light our hunger feed,
the wealth of harvest is our own.
The rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
in autumn breeze that chills the heat,
the wealth of harvest is our own,
as gold and red belies our feet.
In autumn breeze that chills the heat,
a year that ends with blessed Samhain,
as gold and red belies our feet,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign.
A year that ends with blessed Samhain,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign,
in winter’s white, as angels cry.

“Searching for personal exoneration, I found …”
A refuge by the sea
was calling to me
With dark clouds above
a heart forsaking love
It drew me in
despite guilt and sin
A sympathetic sanctuary inviting
as wind behind my back biting
Safe from the storms of my past
solitary reflection at last
Each move I make now without falter
my strength is renewed at this altar
I confess, I pray, I am forgiven
my doubts released in this heavenly haven
I rise, I turn, I walk back through its door
into a sunset so serene gracing the shore
Walking with lighter steps, my soul now open
cleansing of spirit allows me to live and love again
I look back but once to where I’ve been
And see my visit with faith really came from within
I reached inside myself to find
harmony of both my body and mind
Now I wander with belief in me
thanks to my ethereal encounter by the sea

Untie the knot this Christmas,
Have a look inside
At the gift you have been given,
It may be to 'cool' to hide!
Undo the layers of wrapping,
Find out what's hidden there.
Be careful how you open it;
It says, "Handle with care."
Unto you this gift is given,
It's stamped 'FROM GOD ABOVE'.
He sends this blessed present,
With unrequisite love.
Understand there is no motive.
This gift is free indeed.
It's given to each person,
Who truly has a need.
Unlock your heart this Christmas,
Let peace and joy flow through.
Then Christmas will be special;
Especially for you!!

Blue or green?
The color of the sea,
Going up and down the waves,
To be my unexpected mood,
Sweet or sour the feeling of me.
The question of my mind hitting it through the divine,
The passion of art inside a deep mind,
With full of imaginations,
Hitting me through left and right.
Perspective comes along with me,
Seeing it in my mind,
Looking at the blank paper,
My emotions run down the pages,
Forgetting my visions along,
Looking down on paper,
Loosing my focus ,
Is getting hard to draw.
Speaking with my wild heart wide open,
Thinking of the world we live in today,
Standing amongst the people not knowing what to say,
Hearing the music flowing into my ears,
Beating myself inside these walls of hate,
Wanting my eyes to cry with full of tears,
Hating to be on this earth,
Seeing people fade away,
Sinking through lies in my face,
Stabbing me in the back when I need them the most,
Seeing people with unwanted faith through their eyes,
Anger comes my way,
Looking down at the world with full of questions in my head,
Going crazy with frustration and confusion of me questioning God,
Deep inside my heart is burning with poison,
Is breaking me apart like glass,
At peace without a path in mind,
Falling down somewhere here that I never belong,
I'm not perfect yet,
I like to lead not to follow others.
Life is like a tree that grows inside me,
Leafs on the tree come and go like people in my life,
Taking the road of life,
Things can change in a minute,
When I look away,
My goals would fade away,
Going back letting noting stand on my way,
Trying harder to focus on my goals,
Looking around with a smile on,
Reaching my goals slowly without a distraction.

In this stormy sea that we call life, you calm the waters.
As I drifted along you cushioned each blow that I received.
In the mist of each storm, your light guided me to shelter.
When I was drowning in iniquity, you bathed me with salvation.
When the water became polluted you cleansed it with your blood.
When I floated out to sea, you anchored me with your love.
At times the currant was so strong, it pulled me underneath.
You wrapped your arm around me and held my head afloat.
Through each trial and tribulation, your waves washed me ashore.
You were my life preserver in a sea of lies and deception.
As you gave me the water of life, My Lord, I gladly give you mine.

It was a good sailor God blessed me be.
In me veins be sea salts me heart pumps through.
I'le pray me Good Lord shall look after me
on dire crossing from port, to seas anew.
I'le trade not me fate to no man nor tide
in me marrow, sea brine me heart pumps through.
Me sheet be made fast to draft leeward side,
but this breeze too tight, for me ship to stand
yet I'le trade me fate to no man nor tide,
not to work a poor shop or plow on land
but sail this sea and a good sailor be.
This gale be too fat for her sail to stand.
A main mast crack, to be an end to me
to the bottom me ship and I'le may go
but fight this sea and a good sailor be,
it is all I've asked and enough to know.
It was a good sailor God tends me be
so be sea bottom me ship and I'le go,
even there me Good Lord looks after me.

if i woke up from
on the kitchen table
and saw her standing
there at the fridge
pouring tomato juice
into her bloody mouth,
but that yellow dress
she cut in half
last halloween after walking
to the river where she
said the most beautiful things
about dancing with the moon
right before throwing up
something black & fleshy-pink
on the rock where i was sitting,
& we walked back to eat
a fried egg standing
next to the stove where
she would light her cigarettes
swigging shady ladys, silently
listening to my developing dissatisfaction
& some sort of lingering love,
if she was here right now,
staring blankly at flies buzzing,
i wouldn't be surprised,
even if it has been three years since she died.

The winds of the night creep in on you and they are up and about.
They surround you in the darkness and shed you into some light.
They are given and they are taken with your most silent thoughts.
They pass through your hidden fears and come from plain sight.
The winds of the night so clever and discreet they really are.
They hold no boundaries to your beginning and nor to your end.
They are warm and they are cold rising above you and reaching up from far.
They are of their own power and hold onto all claims of their own.
The winds of the night come sending a message to the unknown.
The winds of the night are aimless but when directed they drift all together.
They are dangerous when calm at night a sight not even one has really seen.
They are unsettled with no balance yet predictable by where they all concur.
They capture what is felt and heard because they’re accepted as they’re deemed.
The winds of the night come and go for they are on a lifelong mission.
They are silent within your journey for they can not be spoken to or touched.
They exist for your life bringing the world into its final rule on deception.
The winds of the night carry enough strength to lead a massive world into the unjust!

Being in denial is like sitting in an empty house,
with a moonlit forest behind it.
Coming out of denial is the new bird,
that comes and stays a while, with that little
empty house, but when winter comes,
he is off on a journey from the heavens above.

Beyond this space called here and now where hopes are often lost;
Across the seething sea of time where dreams are tempest tossed,
There lies a haven well desired to gain at any cost;
To lie at anchor there will be worth all the waters crossed.
The port is gained by following a narrow path, we know.
Many ships have run aground on reefs of sin and woe.
Sound the waves and fathom out the deeps that lie below,
And guide your ship to safety, watching ever for the foe.
In that haven time will cease; the sea shall be as glass,
And all the evils known to man will in the depths be cast.
No parting and no weeping, heartaches, too, will pass
For joy will reign on every ship whose tow line is made fast.
Put forth all effort, then, to reach that harbor through the foam;
Cease seeking for the pleasure isles that call the soul to roam.
Mark the charts with vision clear by heaven's starry dome;
Make Christ your helmsman; through thickest fog He made that harbor home.

Though I sail this wretched sea of life
I do not sail alone
A higher force keeps guiding me
To lead me safely home
Though my sails are torn and battered
I travel on my quest
This sea of life keeps tossing me
But still, I do my best
While drifting through this endless sea
I keep looking for the light
My journey has almost ended now
To a land with no more night
While tired and weary, I carry on
I dare not turn away
I can almost see the lighthouse
I can not go astray
Lead me home, dear light I pray
This ship can sail no more
I cast anchor in the harbor of life
Upon that golden shore

Drink the drink, and take the pills, lay on the medication.
But your soul's forever lost to them without persistent dedication.
There's things we've learned, and things we will, to decide us right from wrong.
But your ears are only open, now, to a techno-logic song.
Social norms have bound you tight, then cut you awf'ly deep.
And still your soul beneath the surface begs of you, relief.
You waded in their welcome waters, thought it nice and cool
But now I'm sure you've figured out you're lost in sorrows pool
So take it from who knows you best
Someone who has passed this test:
Before you drift out in the sea
And the shore's no longer in your view,
I promise that I'll bring you back
And if I can't, I'll follow you.
Before your legs and arms grow weak
And you've passed your final tier,
I promise that I'll hold your hand;
I promise you I'll still be here.
Before your lungs are filled with water
And our souls are parted once again,
I promise you that you're forgiven;
I promise you I'm still your friend.
Before you close your sunken eyes
Inviting night to kill the day
Know your bright was never slight
And soon you'll see your way.

My heart egos and my life drained from me
Simple life I live, I act as I know all
But I know not, no, not even a little
I earnestly seek for recognitions
But my life and my heart is a hole.
An empty vessel, soulless, loveless
I have been succumb by the pain of heart aches
I have become a broken man,
Know not what my future holds
I envy those who went before me, who were acknowledge
I hold on to the little shred of hope in me,
I am being drowned by my own sorrows.
Love, hate, a new beginning and ending of my old self never seems to happen
My wrath against my enemies is nothing for they humor me with insults.
Let not death come to me in misery and despair,
For life is full of joy and full of sorrows.
Love me, as who would love a stranger from nowhere.
Let my sorrows be taken away by the love of many
But at last, no one would.
Don’t cry for me, for no one knows me
They came before my grave and said “who is this man?”
“Why is the name not written?”
It is not written because I am nothing
Don’t shed a tear for the stranger such as me.
Life is like a dream on a calm sea,
As the captain gracefully steer and gently moves its rudder.
The passenger puts their lives in his hands,
A calm sea is the heaven of any sailor.
“So, where is my captain?”
The wind blows every so gently,
But my heart sinks gently into the sea;
Who will mourn for the stranger?
Drowned from my grief,
My faith begins to waver like a ship tossed around by the winnowing wind
My heaven, my calm sea turns against me as I sail the Galilean sea
“Where are thy words that calm the raging storm?”
Ay! I have no peace even in my passing.
I have not thy words of command,
For my faith has been tossed away by the hating winds,
Shallow, empty, and broken I lay here in an unnamed grave.
Only thy mercy will guide me to the third heaven!
Let my sorrows be washed away by the blood of the innocent lamp.
Let thy words be the honey drops for mine,
As this world knows only lies
Blinded by greed and lust,
They seek only to destroy of what they fear.
And my sorrows are tossed away by thy promises.
For thy compassion for lost sheep is great.
"Have I found peace?"
I have, for I know my heart is at rest when my body has aged
And my salvation has come
When I died with thy Words of truth

The Old Salt was a special man who came along in a time
when he was needed most.
A time that is now gone forever.
When men believed and sacrificed, when hero’s walked the earth in mass.
When patriotism was not just a word
by what men lived and judged the worth of each,
a man who lived a life most of us cannot comprehend.
An era now gone as this warriors tour of duty ends at this station,
and begins anew in the heavenly fleet.
Sail on Sailor into your unaccompanied tour,
we salute you.
What greater honor, that when a man moves forward,
he leaves behind in each of us the best of what he was.
A defender, protector, supporter, victor, a warrior,
the last of the breed from an era when ships were made of wood
and men were made of steel.
The Old Salt has reported for duty that takes him away from us for now.
Those of us who remain behind,
remember, and will continue to remember,
because he now resides forever in our hearts.
As I look up at night, I envision The Old Salt,
a beret draped just above the eye,
as he draws upon his pipe,
quietly he waits.
The guardian of heaven’s gate.

A great tumult has occurred in the sea
agitated waves tussle and brawl in the sea
A sea, whose waters are parted,
parted by a swarming multitude of beasts, and one Great Beast
Beast, I advise you, there is a King, a Star in the Day
riding upon a white horse, Eminent and August
August and Purposed was His way
sword in hand, fetters in one
One, without uncertainly, He rode toward the sea
and with certainty His strike was dealt
Dealt, the waters were parted
by means of one blow all the beasts were smite
Smitten, all but one, the Lord of the beasts
the Daystar turned his strength to the Great Beast
The Beast, skilled and adept, was struck with one articulation
not with a song of death as its intent, but a rebuking
Rebuked, so it might not agitate the waters
fettered, so it could not provoke the sea
See now, the waters were parted
the bodies of which were two
Two parts, divided by the Daystar’s blow
one to the south and toward the north was one
One, agitated, heavy with salt, and broad as elapsed dreams
the North, tranquil and fresh. just adequate to chalice in the palms
Palms firm, the King turned His day heat to the south
and the waters evaporated, so that only pillars of salt remained
Remaining, the Daystar blessed his radiance on the North
with palms the King cupped the unsullied waters
Waters in hand He tossed them into the desiccated earth
and the waters revitalized the salted land in support of the King
And the King continued to shed light on the waters for a thousand years
for a millennium, the earth blossomed.
Blossomed for a time, a time, times five hundred times
after which, the fetters would be loosed

The sea gathered her voice
on the crest of the waves
as dark clouds were herded
by the wind as he raved
in a symphony orchestrated
through elements of sound
composed by the air
from his drafty compound.
By the drum of the surf
on the beat of the waves
a crescendo that climbed
with the sea as she raged
while the wind as the maestro
pulled pockets of sound
from the whistles and moans
as he swept ‘cross the ground.
Soprano! cried the killdeer
Tenor! screeched the gulls
as a baritone foghorn
boomed from the hull
of a ship that swayed
drunkenly atop of the surf
staying clear of the breakers
that crashed on the turf
The ship creaked a response
as it groaned a refrain
but the deft hand of a shipwright
would keep it sustained
for he’d hewn and he’d whittled
great emblems of love
carving an angel for the figurehead
and atop the masthead, a dove.
When the wind stopped his jostling
and the sea spent her ire
the ship slipped back to its haven
of warm hearths and bright fires
where the men mused and wondered
over great tankards of ale
if the hymns and hosannas..
had been but, the wind in the sails?

So much of life
Is like walking a beach all alone;
Where you began is lost in the white distance behind
Where you are headed a mystery as well.
We carry along two small bags of pretty pebbles
We gather along the way,
One for the joys
One for the troubles.
Both bags get a little heavier
The further we go.
Mostly it's a long silent walk
With a boundless sea whispering by our side
In a tongue too ancient for the rational mind.
But here and there we stop
And turn to gaze out over that sea,
Fingering pebbles as we do.
And sometimes, if we're very lucky,
And we wait and listen long enough,
The whisperings begin to make sense
And we become aware that
An unseen Someone,
A special Beloved,
Has been pacing us all along;
That we have never been truly alone.
One must be careful not to turn too fast,
To try to see this Beloved,
Or they will vanish like a snowflake on the tongue.
The trick is to cast one's gaze deep into oneself;
Then the Beloved will appear, laughing at our cleverness,
And we shall see that our silent companion
Looks exactly like ourselves
As we appear in others' eyes.
And if we can bear to match the Beloved's gaze long enough,
They will vanish before us
And we will find ourselves gazing out over that sea with their eyes,
And see it as it truly is: dancing, infinite, eternal, perfect.
If we can do this but once,
We can open our bags and toss the pebbles into the sea,
Even as we realize that sea as well is but a part of us;
We will understand its language of song and laughter,
And disappear into everything joyfully
To the sound of our own
Perfect and infinite
As the great whirling dance

I do not know?
To have friends across
an ocean, to feel the love
like they're right next to
you. Every day I feel the
devotion. We have never
met face to face, yet I can
picture a smiling face, I can
can feel the warm embrace.
Heartfelt emotion drawn
from our spirits, love shines
from within us. On our journey
we go, put trust in our paths.
Have faith in its flow. One day
we shall meet and then we will

Crossing of the Red Sea
Moses raised his rod,
As God told Him to do.
The Red Sea suddenly parted
For the children of Israel to walk through.
The great walls of water
Stayed on either side by God’s power,
Until all His people crossed
Then the waters began to lower.
Pharaoh’s army followed them
Into the sea so deep.
So when the waters lowered
Many a widow did weep.
All drowned by God’s power
Not a trace to be found.
The Israelites praised God;
The desert echoed the sound.
The crossing of the Red Sea—
A type of water baptism.
For the chosen of God
Were shown great favoritism.
Saved from the Passover
And then the Red Sea depths,
How could they turn to idols—
God loved them at such lengths?
Maybe we’re no different,
Often take God for granted
Accept His daily miracles
No eternal life coveted.
Remember the Red Sea crossing—
God’s care for His wayward children.
Ask for His forgiveness
Graciously accept His loving pardon.

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

When the call of the Lord came to Jonah,
“set out for the great land of Nineveh!”
he was angry inside,
and decided to hide,
on a Tarshish bound ship leaving Joppa.
Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea,
ne’er a more violent storm could there be,
there on destiny’s brink,
the ship threatened to sink,
while, old Jonah, was below deck asleep.
Surely, each sailor’s heart fainted with fear,
as the ship they were unable to steer.
“Wake up, Jonah!” they cried,
“get thee quickly topside,
and fervently beg your God to draw near!”
Now, Jonah knew that this storm was for him,
as in his heart he remembered his sin,
he thought he was sunk,
when they gave him the dunk,
and had to choose whether to sink or to swim.
As soon as Jonah met up with the ocean,
Both the winds and the waves ceased commotion,
then along came a whale,
and old Jonah grew pale,
as it swallowed him up in one motion!
Three long days in that big fish he stayed,
vowing never again would he stray,
relieved not to be dead,
and with kelp on his head,
onto dry land, our dear Jonah was sprayed!
Please, allow me, now this moral to mention,
that when the Lord God gives thee direction,
you must not delay,
set out right away,
His good judgment you must never question.
Should by chance, you hear God’s voice compelling,
“ head thee out to Bangladesh or New Delhi,”
best get on the right boat,
and pray that it floats,
lest you end up kelp covered and smelly!

Tell the truth
Shame the devil
Because he want you
Below sea level.
If something bothers you
You just know it's not right.
Stand firm and tell the truth.
Shame the devil.
The devil is already beneath you
Many many leagues below sea level.

Beneath sullied cloth, hastily covered
chain of seashells nestled
soundless, threads of an old story.
Your eyes, beneath lashes that catch
snow—I see the deep blue
sea of Junlado,
waves shining grey before the setting sun.
What are you doing here in the frozen north?
You came from seashores
cherry blossoms raining upon
your brown upturned face
dreaming of another world, you beautiful fool.
There is no other world when we
all suffer beneath endless winter.
Pity, a sweet face lined and streaked;
I watch it as you pour wine.
I, merely a wanderer
in rags, as we all are.
But I am strong, dear child.
Let me not see those purest tears
forming, unforming within
what are you doing here?
Go back to your land.
Swim, there, forget, in the bluegrey
Let joyful pearls make pure a salty sea.
We all suffer, but
deserve to go back.
