Slow walking talker

I want to
I really do
I want to walk the walk
But I have a limp
Hobbled by all the things I think
There seems to be more than one missing link
On the beach of life, I try stepping softly but still I sink

I want to
I really do
I want to talk the talk
But I'm afraid, fifty shades of grey times two
How do I know if what I believe is true?
Will it be evidenced by the things I do?
Or in the end will I be influenced by you?

Walking and talking
It's just not enough
I need to relinquish all my inner stuff
Allowing myself to be weak instead of tough
For if God works in mysterious ways
Everything leads to the end of days
So instead of walking and talking my hands I'll raise
With voice and heart I will give God praise

If I allow Jesus to love me
He will guide my walk
He will permeate my heart and the way I talk
My inner softness he will surely unlock
His words not mine will become my rock
it's not about doing
It's more about being
His way, is the way of helping and seeing
By letting Him lead, it will be more freeing
The more I witness the more I'll be believing
Walking and talking but more importantly listening!

A Magic Adventure Of Peter The Pan--part II

Inside the Dishwasher everyone rushed!
Clinks, clanks, rattles, 'Ouches' and ' Ohs'!
"Would you pa--lease, settle down!" said Deb--They hushed.
"Now we can hear...let's just see how this goes."

Curious, Peter, looked out through a chinc,
And watched Vie and Chris-- approaching by twos.
They opened the door--and who do you think--
Standing there wearing her fine Jimmy Choos,
Ms Lost Sonnet!--spoke not a word--but winked.

Wilma Wine-Corkscrew, dressed in purple hues
Gave the 'all clear', and Peter spread the news.

"We're having a party Ms Sonnet, please,
Won't you join us? It's a magic party
For Peter", said Ruben Rotisserie.
Bob Blender poured her a drink--quite hardy.

Connie Candellabra was flaming bright
As Ms Sonnet swept past to the soft couch.
Carolyn Cookie Jar screamed with such fright,
"Quick! She's on fire!" Then Lost cried, "Ouch!"

"I'll save her", said Catie Collander. "Here!"
But the water leaked through her like a sieve.
Susan Spatula yelled, "Have no fear, dear!"
Yet, the fire held on and would not give--

Others tried, but could not stop the fire.
Then Peter said, "I wuw twy! I can do it!
With 'Awwy, I can fwy! Way up highya!
Togethwa, we can save Ms Wost Sonnet!

Awwy is my fwend. He tawks funny, too!
He's aw the way fwom Engwand and he is
My Supwa Cape! So I can fwy! It's twue!
No H's wive theaw--his name is wike this:
'Awwy--not Hawwy." So now, they all knew.

"Did I 'ear some bloke colling my name?"
"Yes! 'Awwy, me! We've Ms Sonnet to save!"
Harry Handtowel--AKA, Super Cape--fame
Was now on the neck of Peter the Brave!

With no hesitation quickly they flew,
Smothered the fire and saved just one shoe.
Brittle and weak, Lost needed more than glue...
"She needs magic! Oh! Paweeze! What can we do?"

"Peter...we only made enough for you".
Said Carol Crock-pot. They all cried, "Boo Hoo..."
"Then give huw my magic! That's what you do!"
So quickly they sprinkled the magic brew.
Ms Sonnet was greatful--then said, "Adieu".

"Peter, you've done well," said Anne Assam Tea,
"Let's all have a cup'a tea and you'll see...
"'Magic's believing in yourself, --frankly,
Do that--and you can do--anything!"

A Magic Adventure Of Peter The Pan

A Magic Adventure of Peter The Pan/AKA Peta The Fwying Pan

Peter was a fine young pan with blue eyes
Like all the other pans his age, except,
Peter could not yet pronounce 'R's'--he tried...
And 'L's'...so hard he tried. He even wept.

School had been especially hard today
Peter had been poked, teased, and made fun of
More this day than any other school day...
And the ride home took so long on the bus.

When he came through the door, his mama knew
"Why the long face? Are you hurt? Are you sick?"
"No ma'am," said Peter, "Just tiwad fwom schoow".
"Some cookies and milk may just be the trick!"

Mama said, as Peter sat down to eat.
By now, everyone was gathered around
To hear of his day--and sneak a treat.
So he told them his story...and they frowned.

"How can someone be so cruel! Makes no sense!
You are the smartest and brightest of pans!"
Said Debbie Dishwasher-- then cycle rinsed.
The rest agreed and came up with a plan.

"Okay! It's agreed!" said Bob the blender.
"You need magic!--THAT--we can render!

Charles Chalice and Gail Goblet--my dear
Bring what you have, for this magic milk shake.
Michael Magic Grill...you go get us some beer
And also get Peter a great big steak!"

Then everyone sang together with cheer:
"A parr-ty! A parr-ty! It's a parr-ty!
We are all...having...a magic--parr-ty!"

Everyone was busy, hust'ling around.
Tams the Golden Toaster was making toast.
Tex Texas Tea Pot hummed a whist'ling sound.
David Dish and Sara Spoon danced the most,
Except for Marlon Mop--he could 'get down'!

Carol Crock Pot was fixing up the Soup.
Russell Rolling Pin had rolled out a crust
For a magic pie with love from the coop.
Joann Juicer made fresh smoothies--a must!
Suddenly...a sound was heard on the stoop...

"Who could that be? It's nearly midnight!"
Said Cyndi Chandlier all bright with light.
Christopher Cutting-board called, "I'll go see!"
Vienna Vaccume said, "Not without me!"

"Wait!" Debbie Dishwasher cried from the sink.
"Let's look at more options. We need to think.
It could be someone in need of a meal...
Or, it's a burglar--come here to steal!"

"Everyone else! Quickly! Hide inside me
Until we find out who that sound might be!"

When He Smiles

The sun shines again for he smiles. The indeterminable day no longer flees or hides for its end is sought, as is its beginning for he smiles. Confusion though abiding must wait the laggard servant scolded by the Mistress Aphrodite for he smiles. Want must find a different dwelling for the moment un-housed by sweetest joy for he smiles. The sun shines again.

Everyone Has A Story

The clouds are now fading,
as the rainbow of life breaks through,
once my tears fell heavy,
but now only a trace of misty blue.

Sometimes we have no reason,
answers can't be found,
but we still stand on our Faith,
praying for stable ground.

Many pathways are given,
that's where common sense can't be blind,
for what we choose today,
can push us forward, or leave us behind.

Years are a blessing,
if we learn from where we've been,
but if we never humble our self,
the clouds will come again.

Everyone has a story,
our journey of tears, and smiles,
we are the keepers of the memories,
and all those lifetime miles.

While You Sleep

While you sleep I tell you all of the things I keep inside throughout day.
Now that you can hear but not listen I find them much easier to say.
My hopes, my dreams, my fears, and everything in between
Your subconscious hears so keen, or so it seems.
My tongue is soft; I speak so sweetly
Knowing your reaction will never greet me.

Tonight will be different in what I want you to know.
It has everything to do with what I can’t help but show.
I hold no claim to any religion but you’ve given me a place for my faith.
Somewhere it will never stale or lose its lavish taste.
You’ve shown me something I can see, touch, and feel,
And so before it I choose to kneel.

I know I don’t say it but I miss you every day.
Sitting, thinking of the perfect words to be my choice,
Yet when you call I can’t find any of the right words to say.
I’m just happy to finally hear your voice.
Even just a moment is enough to sooth my heavy heart;
Fearing the ends of conversations knowing we’ll have to part.

I’ll never be too far from you, always within arm’s reach,
And in your days of darkness I’ll be the light that you will seek.
I’ll never let you leave too far from me, I’ll stay close behind you in this world;
Secretly protecting what is mine, you will always be my girl.
I only want the best for you so the best of me I will employ.
Faithfully yours, I will always be your boy.

I close my eyes and kiss your soft sweet lips
And see the very best of you in loving bliss.
I see past the physical which makes you attractive
And focus on the things I can’t see in which I’m attracted.
Your thoughts I’d love to hear them all.
Of the things you speak disinterest never makes its call.

My day will come, I know someday I’ll be the only one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give, to love unconditionally.
Yes our day will come, I know someday we’ll be as one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give… to love unconditionally.

The Psychostasia

The Psychostasia
(The Egyptian Funerary Rite)

For seventy days I’ve been prepared
With oils and unguents ever so rare
And with linen bandages to and fro
Wound and wrapped from head to toe

And on this journey I’m prepared to start
By enduring the “Weighing of the Heart”
With Toth’s oversight we’ll see whether
My heart weighs true against Truth’s feather

Should it fall short the beast will devour
My soul to oblivion in my final hour
Yet should it measure straight and true
The Pylon opened I’ll be ushered through

And then I shall fall unto my knees
And pray that Osirus hears my pleas
That he acknowledge and clear my tears
And accept my soul for a thousand years

And cleanse said soul of all its scars
And make me one with the canopy of stars
And bless my children and my wife
That they may join me in the afterlife

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Beyond Your End

 BEYOND YOUR END
Look deep into yourself my friend,
if then, you need to look to me,
and deep enough to see the end,
beyond your end is where I'll be.

Into the love someday you'll see,
becoming all the things you'll know,
before your very eyes, I'll be
already where you want to go.

I'll be your long and blinding light,
of which all life is awed,
the thread that reaches through the night
in search of what is God.

And in a while, if love is right,
and hope is not just more pretend,
though you have sought what e'er you might,
'tis me you'll find, beyond your end.

And I will love your death away,
removing from your mind
what'er your death might seem to be,
with love impossible to find.

Life's Seven Seas

The sails are raised upon the ship "Unknown,"
to travel slowly on life's seven seas.
I look upon such things as I am shown,
in hopes to solve life's little mysteries.

I now am sailing with a gentle breeze-
to learn of what I can until I'm grown;
so I can handle life with greater ease.
The sails are raised upon the ship Uknown."

There's waves I find in life that have been blown,
upon my ship by other ones decrees.
My skills at sailing these rough waves have grown-
to travel slowly on life's seven seas.

The shores I look upon are laced with trees,
their colors looking like they have been sewn
by angels with embroidery degrees.
I look upon such things that I am shown.

The work I do sometimes I will bemoan,
but with it I have gained such victories!
I seek a light that never has been shown,
in hopes to solve life's little mysteries.

Sometimes these oceans seem like they will freeze,
still other nights it seems I sail alone.
It's then I get down on my hands and knees,
To pray to God because He's on the throne.
The sails are raised.

A Kite

A Kite by Weston Gregory

Gamed and played, swift to flight
a kite outbound disengaged from
gravity's might
A laughter of sort at least a smile
that by and by we can untangle
humanity's plight

By swish and swirl and crazy hoops
a kite lighten burden inspires hope on
journey not new
yet, ever changing when life's wind blew
until all's but distant sight, held by cords
and glue

Above horizon daunting for me and you
but, a cinch for a kite with faith inbrued
a chime to dance the rhythm which
nature taught true....

For One Day

If I had only one day left with you,
I would ask that day be in God's own time,
one day, a lifetime, every moment
an expression of love,
every hour a new adventure.

twenty four hours to slowly pass
with you at my side,
a never-ending dream,
always giving thanks,
one day left with you,

would be eternity.

The True Love of a Man

When I was just a little girl, I dreamed I’d meet a knight. He’d proudly wear his shining armor, and guard me day and night. I kept on dreaming half my life and searched as I grew. Until I found my knight one day, I found my knight in you! Before our paths crossed that day, my struggles had been great. But when I laid my eyes upon you, I thought it must be fate. You gently got to know me and embraced me as a friend. And as our friendship grew in time, we knew it wouldn’t end. As our lives were set in motion, we climbed mountains and sailed seas. And as we’ve shared our lives together, we’ve blended with such ease. Our friendship grew as years passed by into such an enduring love. This thing we have together now was blessed from God above! I know we both have said it. We feel it in our souls. We’ve devoted our lives to each other, and together we’ll grow old. The love we share is very rare, and should be held with high esteem. For some may only find this kind, only in their dreams. This is what God planned for us, to live here on this land. To be the best we both can be, walking through it hand in hand. Even when our roads seem rough, we must have a faith that lasts. We’ll smile as we share many today’s, and reflect gladly on our past. I hope I’ve touched your life my love, as much as you’ve touched mine. For this is the love I’ve always dreamed of, a love both gentle and kind. I believe we meet our “soul mate” only once in our lives. This blessing from God has come to us, I’m proud to be your wife. With all this said my poem will end. A poem for my love, who is also my friend! I want to thank you with all that I am, For showing me Darling, the true love of a man!
With all my love, Michelle Merry Christmas – December 2006©

Beautiful day

Oh how beautiful the day you gave to me

A new and bright glorious day your mercy is new and your love is fresh

Lord I desire your ways and your rest to see your hand touch my life

Is great and peaceful and keeps me right

I stand and look inside my soul

The way you make things unfold

The little things Lord they make me new

The touch of the wind gives me life from you.

The flowers and there fragrance are lifting me up

I love you Lord your precious to me even though I fail and wander you take me in and make me humble

Your ways are glorious why can't the world see the light you give inside me take my hand Lord help me be

The woman you made when you set me free.

Vindictive Sanctuary

Introduction: Blindfolded the world fades today, optimism awaits tomorrow...

Lies have many expressions
Can make one follow the mistaken,
Love has countless sensations
Can make one feel awaken,
Seek out the truth from its buried nation
As the deception has made it forsaken

No one knows where you’d disappear
For things you care is what you feel,
No one knows of what you hear,
One day you will deem what’s real
Ask Almighty to steer you clear
Help you save from your ordeal

The Maid, the Magpie and the Mirror

Gazing, at its own reflection is the Magpie.
A magic bird, a mystical creature, with a soul
and the power to see things, the power of scrying.
It sees a tomb in ancient Egypt. It sees death.
A soul locked within a glorious bronze mirror,
Cleopatra and her Maid in a bond unbroken.

Time passes in silence as deep as the unbroken
promise of endless wisdom, gifted by the Magpie.
whose caws the Maid hears, within the depths of the mirror,
calls to the Queen, her Cleopatra, to her soul.
Magpie speaks to She on the Eastern Barge in the afterlife of death,
and to her Maid entombed. The sacred bird so near scrys.

The Magpie sits within oasis staring into the pool. It scrys
for all this time, its vigil, its protection, never broken.
Even when the sarcophagus is carried to the necropolis of the dead,
without, unknown, the bird speaks wisely through reflection, her Magpie.
Entombed, his Queen and her Maid, their bodies but not their souls,
Queen, Maid and Magpie, each cast a last gaze, alive within the mirror.

The Vows of Innocence, the Maid bespeaks the mirror.
Pleas to the Swallower of Shades, both Queen and Maid have scried
to The Burning One, and claim no lie, upon their soul.
As the light dims within the Maids eyes, in tomb unbroken,
she sees the life of her Queen and their Magpie
pass fast upon the brass, last breath of life and dying.

Oh, too soon the end, moans the Maid, I am dying.
Her life's reflection moves bronzed upon the mirror.
She screams, "My Queen," but hears only the caw of Magpie.
All around her other servants succumb and cry, whilst she sits scrying,
and the Magpie flies above in life entombed, eternity, unbroken.
As she beseeches all the Gods to save her soul.

The Magpie's spirit self moves within the mirror's soul.
He swoops gathering Cleopatra's essence, past the dying,
and brings her to the Maids side unbroken.
In afterlife upon the Eastern Barge they join the mirrored
whole, for he, the bird of magic, Magpie, has called and scried
it so. Part light of life, part dark of death, the Magpie.

The essence of each entwine united within this eternal mirror
for the Magpie cannot bear their deaths. He will protect and forever scry
in life the mirror sits unbroken a stolen bauble, and in it they dwell with the Magpie.

A Boy Like Me?

In spite of it all....
Traveling over the Brooklyn Bridge, lights aglow
What a magnificent sight
Crossing the waters unto the city
Upon the dawning of the night....
On his way to New York, a kid from California
Doing the circuit about the East Coast
Still in awe of it all; newness, has yet to fall
From a very big world, in part, he has come to see
New York City~The Empire~The Towers~Times Square
Forty Second and Broadway~The Statue, of "Liberty"....
Dwarfed by the rises, and lost among the, the crowds
The only eyes that know him, smiling, and looking down
I did it all for you ~
Eyes wide, bright lights, colorful sights, skies
Thinking, where is Sachs Fifth Avenue? Broadway, straight ahead....
The collar of his trench coat turned upward, to cover the chill
From about his neck; this kid from California
Three thousand miles away from home
Smiling at everyone, as he passes them by
Exchanging good evenings, good days, and
Glimpses into their precious eyes....
Faces he'll someday remember, perhaps?
As he looks back, upon a moment
A day, a night, a time, in New York City, amid an East Coast journey
For a kid from California, once, upon a life ~
Grab a bite....I think I'll buy that watch
Deeper into the subway....The hands upon the towers clock
"Got a light?"~"Sorry, but I don't smoke"
So, that's how they sound?
Their voices, with that certain, prominence
"No thanks, I'm fine," don't think, today
I need, to get high!....
Staring down and all around, in awe of it all, once again
All the lights, all the sights, far above...."Above"
I did it all for you ~
Bright eyes, smiling eyes, smiling faces
Beautiful faces, everywhere, he turned...."Stars"
With stories endless, like glitter, poured
The pages of their lives~The story, of "His" mankind....
To a kid from California, with innocence, still, in his eyes ~
Upon the steets of New York City; doing an East Coast circuit
Long ago? Not really~But, once, upon a "Life"
"I did it all, for "You!"

Saving Grace

Introduction: Don’t you quit no matter how hard it is, no matter how much you struggle.
This is called life; this is the test, with its twists and turns. Make the best out if it.
We just have to believe in Almighty’s light, His saving grace and follow the Grande hope
up to the end of the tunnel, until the end of our lives.

When time gets tough, days seem long
As sometimes it does, you feel the song,
When heroes depart, hearts sink below
And most of us smile, as we feel them glow,
When past calls back to remind us of them
Some tears fall down, even out of gem.

When life gets rough, through those tough times
Just don’t give up, on hope we survive,
We wonder how everything’s still here
That’s when we believe, we have Him to share,
Faith is that bird, which reminds us at night
By singing its songs, that calls us to light

Confusions arise, when fear overcomes
Happiness glow dim, as trusts come undone,
Hearts and rules are made to be broken
In order to improve those that’s unspoken,
Some may confound the truth with the lies
That’s why He gave, us these two eyes.

You make your own choice with the dreams you shelter
That seems way uphill, just makes you stronger,
If you fall thousand times, you don’t quit the tour
You succeed one time and you reach your goal,
To some it seems hard, to you it’s the art
Some may just quit but you try and try, till the new start.

The Universal Man

I shall live and die By my own accord Only my God may judge me To him I've proved my worth I am still here fighting It matters not what for On my ship of righteousness Headed for waters unexplored The clear night sky will darken And the clouds seem ominous I take heed to the sure signs From them I won't digress They are in the way of my dreams And hopes that fill my sails Like the wind from my heaven Keeps my skin tough as nails Evil comes to tempt me I am not immune Sometimes I play the hero Other times I'm just a fool Either way the choice is mine I make it with my free will For that's the gift he gave me And for what I fight for still The government is coming To bring a chaos they call order The line has been drawn Between two sides there is a border I feel myself being torn To choose a fate in stone Let this be a lesson Why I wander on my own Minds can be controlled I see it every day The weak wills fall like dominos That lie littering my way An obstacle before me I iron will it to the end And when the devil comes to dance with me I have already started to transcend into everything around I am the universal man my true form I shall disguise I am hiding it from this great Satan they say will come for my demise I know he will find me maybe he already has in a long gone nightmare that my soul he stole at last if I remember correctly I can't say I recall ever escaping his grip or did it ever touch me at all?

Cry only for those who cannot hear you

The wind did stir the thought in kind wanting - for if she knew my soul, just a spark
of it, I would be a rich man...

So long this ribbon of love that flows over the rocks of age and distant torment...
The gate keepers sit alone watching, waiting for the violators who dare not call
mundane theirs...

It is those shackles which bind misguided dreams that which make fertile ground for
the barkers at the door, for what else does one need to grey the vision and dull
delight?

You carry the scent of the well-traveled said the withered old man - I too know your
pain, that which comes from never knowing home - those of us who seek blindly
that which the world cannot give - home is not a place but a thought in time and
nothing more than a stop to rest your ambition...

Cry only for only those who cannot hear you, for it is selfish to do otherwise and
seek home in the gentle embraces of those that know you...

Be kind to those who would bite you, for in doing so it will bring light to a dark path...

AND

Always rejoice in life - it pisses them off and helps them to see the tragic flaw of
their diluted beliefs...

The Killing Tree Part 2

Here is part two, thanks for finishing it

Still in his hand his sword a shining
Struck quickly through the tendrils twining
To free his foot with speed a blinding

He fell upon the ground and leapt
beyond the branches' claw
Grabbed from his waist the pouch that kept
his magic ring to draw

So placed around his finger long
The nether world he breached
With power from a heart that's strong
to Lilith's form he reached

That's when he saw her body glowing
the holy light his eyes to showing
The weakness in the branches blowing

For within the tree he saw the face
a mask alive with dread
And swung his sword to strike that place
and sever off its head

Its eerie scream cut through the night
a most unholy sound
And in its haste to join the fight
dropped Lilith to the ground

So through the night the battle staging
As in a dance his war was waging
'gainst evil now his sword was raging

Now evil's strength is in the dark
and weakens with the sun
The trees retreat into the park
soon broke into a run

The stranger leapt into its path
to make it stand and fight
The tree screamed out its mighty wrath
to see the morning light

By light of dawn its spell was breaking
Into the earth its roots were taking
A mortal tree the stranger making

Now death came to the tree that morn'
a triumph over fear
But children heed this tale to warn
that evil's always near

For Lilith and the stranger won
because their hearts were true
Would they have seen the morning sun
if either had been you

So go to bed your faith a keeping
and know that evil out there creeping
won't come to you while you are sleeping

Crossroads- A night flight

I can hear the silence again
I can take back the time to think, to feel, to just
breathe.
I have held out my hand to slow down time
and I have floated back down to myself
returned to my body for a while, you see;
I am here just on loan.
I dont know if I can lose myself again,
lose myself to the fear of living, fear of the inevitable, fear of pain inescapable
so I think I'm just gonna ride on out on this illusion wave
and, you know-
If you find a rock to cling to, and it breaks away suddenly, and you find another
rock to cling to,
and it also uproots itself as well,
and you feel uneasy without solid ground
you gotta just learn how to be at ease with floating
till you gather the courage to fly away
into the unknown
and pardon my sudden departure.
but the next flight is at 12 sharp
and its already a quarter to midnight

Mr Bravery

Mr. Bravery
By Curtis Johnson

There once lived a very decent and brave man who was promised three keys.
“One of these three keys, said the key holder, will unlock the door to happiness”.
The man bowed his head and prayed silently, “Please Lord, allow me to pick the right key”.
As he raised his head from prayer, the key man said, “There is more that I must tell you”.
He proceeded to tell the brave man that there were also three roads from which he must choose. He was also informed that all the roads would lead to ‘a door’, and all the keys would open ‘a door’, but only one thing would lead to ‘the door’ that would bring him true happiness. That one thing would be understood when he arrives at the door. “One thing, one door, three keys, and three roads?”, the decent and brave man questioned to himself.

The man was still determined to find happiness; so he continued listening to the ‘key man’.
The key man then led him to the end of a Southbound roadway that broke off into three separate roads. One was a paved and winning road toward the West; another was a graveled uphill road pointing East; and the third road was a very rugged and dusty road heading Southwest. He was left with the task of choosing which thing, which key, and which road would lead him to the door that opened to true happiness.

He soon came to know all too well that his challenge was beyond any he had faced before.
Nevertheless, with ‘the one thing’ on his mind, three keys in his hand, three roads just ahead, and a locked door to happiness visualized in his heart, he bravely launched ahead with never a complaint.

His driving experience was equal to the task of either of the roads; but for reasons forever unknown, he chose the graveled uphill road going East. Mr. Bravery drove a path of gradual elevation for about six hours. The sun was beginning to set behind him as he noticed a building a couple of miles ahead. He was elated when he arrived, and without hesitation, he exited his vehicle. Slowly, and with eager anticipation, he approached the door. At the door he realized that he had yet another important task. He had to decide which key to pick.

Mr. Bravery then remembered his first prayer that God would allow him to pick the right key. He looked to the sky and took confidence. He chose a key, and bingo, the door opened! There was a large mirror right in the doorway, and all that he could see was an image of himself. In the mirror at the area of his heart was written these words: “True happiness is to be found, not with keys to a door at the end of a road, nor in or from another human being, but within yourself.”

Within minutes the key man arrived with a smile and commended Mr. Bravery for his courage and determination to complete the task. He informed Mr. Bravery that either key would have unlocked the door, and either road would have led him to the door to happiness. In an instant! In a flash!! Mr. Bravery realized that his personal relationship with God had already given him True and Eternal Happiness. His heart within him had made the choice to be happy.

A Dark Fairy tale

There once was a princess
so beautiful,
That all those who beheld her
Wanted her hand forever

There was, at this time,
A White Knight
In shining armor
(save a few tarnish spots
he'd somehow overlooked)
Who roamed the land
Seeking justice and true love

Unbeknownst to those
in the kingdom,
The beautiful princess
was secretly controlled,
and endlessly tortured;
By evil dragons
Servants of a Dark Sorcerer

Dragons of abuse, loneliness
and jealousy-
She desperately sought a love
One promised in a dream...
A total and true love
Independent of her beauty,
or her wealth

The White Knight;
Clumsy at times-
Had the keenest vision
in all the land
And the purest inner heart

His sword was sharp
(sharper than him)
And dragons fled from him

He searched the land
For the true love he so needed

One day the knight
came upon the Princess's realm

One glimpse and his heart
was hers
But dragons have wings
And the host of dragons
flapped their's
so furiously...
that the ground shook

The knight stumbled,
Smiting his head

Suddenly his vision fouled
He knew in his heart
he had to rescue her...
from these fierce dragons

But his vision, now blurred
Would not let him
wield his sword in defense

Heros sometimes fail-
As did our brave knight...
And the dragons
Prevailed

The princess still waits
In her lonely tower

She will not forget-
His love, and his valor-

She will not be free...

She will await a
new, braver,
stronger knight

But he may never come

And the dragons
may lose next time...
And the princess
our knight prays...
Will be happy,

And free-
At last."

Sometimes

Sometimes when I see
A happy family
It quickly gets to me
The sadness that must be
In this lonely life of just me

For whatever sins I may have done,
I never meant to hurt anyone
And whatever luster I had in life,
Burned away with a cheating wife.

I realize part was my fault
I did not provide something I ought,
But the pain was slow to fade,
In the misery that she made

Now hope has come again to me
In a beauty all can see
Shining from the inside out
Makes me want to shout

And, I know that I am blessed.
And in happiness I am dressed.

Begin to Live

I feel the sun's comin' out today
She's pushin' those mean ol' clouds away
So that I can see past these shades of grey
to a real far place, that I'm not yet, today:

I've been dreamin' here, so patiently
but a journey lies ahead of me
a vision, I was born to see
a dream, meant to be reality:

I must convince the wind to whisper, "Please"
so to soothe the storm, and thunder ease
Then I can step out from beneath these shadey trees
and chase after harmonious melodies:

Be still mighty waters, it's time to part
and leave no path, besides my heart
I hear the first step is the hardest part
so where I now stand, Is where I shall start.

Canceled

I closed my eyes and tried to forget the way you smiled and those dark
mysterious eyes.

You touched my soul and I just wanted you to know that. You blew my
mind for so many years and now I feel so alone.

I cancelled you so long ago, I swore that this was finished. But the only thing that was
ever finished was a lie and I swore to my heart that it didn't.

Didn't beat every time I saw you, Didn't tip every time you smiled. Didn't trip over
myself every time I pretend that I wasn't.

It was all a lie and I couldn't control the fact that I wanted you, every part of you
and more.

I would sneak little glances at you out of the corner of my eyes, Remember
that i'm not confident at times I can be kind of shy.

I wanted this to be secret but it was just waiting to burst out, and as the years went
by I find myself dying to see you once again. Is that you I see on the train? I shiver
just at the thought.

How many times am I gonna flip when it wasn't even you just a look alike.

This has to tell me something this has to be a sign, If I ever saw you again I would
jump off a cliff so high.

But then again I remember you were supposed to be cancelled that's
what I told all my friends.

You were no longer viewing in my mind, A past show, just
some long road that i'd done traveled.

It wasn't until some time later that a friend
whispered in my ear, she told me that you were doing ok and then the feelings
started to surface again.

God I yelled at myself can you be anymore pathetic... I wasn't going out like that this
is the last time I write about this person.

I smile knowing that this poem is just the third of many... cancelled? It would never be
fully over in my mind, I mean a girl has to have her fantasies.

1-15-10 Commands

Smile. Laugh. Why must you command yourself?
Dont cry. Dont show them your organs.
Its all a lie, isnt it?
The very fabrics of life.
Do they see pain upon your face?
Does the sadness seep through?
Tears crystalize in your eyes.
Your too brave to risk wiping them away,
and not brave enough to let them pour.
Blink them away.
Good, you follow commands.
Do you know how to be a leader?
Do you close your eyes and walk?
Trust me. Follow the sound of my voice.
Will i lead you safely? Dont be so sure.
We are all liars at our root.
Push your self forward.
