Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Water Brothers

"Brightly, brightly, and with Beauty",
quoted Mr. Valentine.
In fullness Grok; to cherish, flock-
this Ghost of Yours and Mine.

I've decided to discorporate
at this friendly hour.
Water Brothers, don't hesitate-
I am yours to devour!

*Homage to "Stranger in a Strange Land". If you've never read the book, this poem will
be quite difficult to understand, I'm afraid.

Suicide

From a beam he dangled as the rope choked out his breath
So very soon to end his life as he does the dance of death.
The grandma sees her grandson and has to take him down
She lays him on the carpet that is colored brown.

High up on a structure eyes are starring down
Will blackout over come him before he hits the ground;
The morbid and the curious have finally gone away
There’s only those who clean the mess, it's just another day.

Dinner on the table with plate and fork and knife
The only thing that's swallowed is a pill to end her life.
Who said that it is painless have they looked around the room
The pain does carry on and on far beyond the doom.

With a knife the cut was made now blood spills on the floor
Soon the shadows of the dark will come in through the door.
    Who said there are no victims; reactions carry on;
This tragedy repeats it’s self; through days that take too long
    .
With rocks put in her pockets in water not so high
She sucks the water to her lungs that's how she chose to die.
The husband of Virginia Wolf, now he knows too well
His days are filled with misery and his life's a living hell.

Desperate to escape he points the pistol to his head
The triggers pulled, a roar goes off; and just like that he's dead.
When she opened up the door she saw the pieces of his brain
The blood in puddles on the floor; was like water from the drain.

Blood is on her shirt; where she held him for too long
But it's simply far too late the life in him is gone.
Who says that it is painless have they looked around the room
I know the pain does carry on and on far beyond the doom.

Chronic Pink

~~Chronic Pink~~
(Parents Peril * The Nightmare)

Evil sits and whispers -sweet lullabies
Chimes within my head,
I feel damnation scratching at my conscious
Of what was and is!

ASLEEP……………….

Water running down my toes
Rain taping at my windowpane
I fear; I’m reliving my childhood days
~~Dark April showers have a chronic look~~
Motioning me to escalate before daybreak, to face a colorless what!

The trickle of musty wind mesh under my skin
The panics initiates,
But all I conquer and collect is a gash of movement that very moment

SLEEPWALKING……………….

Feelings and wants exist inside my head
Visions of slitting my wrist from end to end
My subconscious is no longer my friend
At night, praying is what got me through the dark-mares.
I held my own hand that very night
Telling myself it would be all right

EYES OPEN WIDE……………….

Walking down the narrow hall
These Chimes, these Chimes!
Grew with entanglements of crime
In my parent’s room, is where the lullabies were coming from?
Shhh!!! Hush now, I’m humming to the evil sweet chant…
Whispers of dust suddenly stop
The envelope opener, I punch in and out each neck
One by one, they look up to only see me
A demonic child’s laughter erupts
Chronic Pink escape…

Pacing myself off the bed
I did not realize at that moment of what I've done

Cries of nothing led me back into my room.
There and only there water still sits under the sheets
The emptiness in my head was a sign that finally I can go back to sleep.
Falling asleep too the quietness that spilled around me
Waking up to, the parents peril sight every night

My subconscious held no sympathy
But, my chronic pink eyes relive this everyday memory

I cannot stand this….
Once again, I begin to hear the sound of scratching violins
Where dreams of ANGELS come in Chronic Pink.

Heart of The Sea

The heart of the sea is a mother's heart
She is the great ancestral mother of all life on the planet
Deep within the mysterious waters of her womb
she conceived and gave birth to the first life form
which evolved into more complex organisms
that live on the land and in the air

She is an essential part of the planet's ecosystem
feeding the clouds which bring rain and snow
that sustain life on the earth
Through tiny ocean plants and photosynthesis
she removes carbon dioxide from the air
and converts it to more than one half of the oxygen
in the earth's atmosphere

She is the great food provider to the planet
having her own internal food chain
with tiny phytoplankton at the lower end
and enormous sharks and whales at the upper end
She feeds creatures from the land and air
that venture to fish in her waters

She is a thing of beauty even in her enraged fury
with massive waves towering over a hundred feet
and the seething white foam of her waters
This has been her action
even before the advent of man on the planet
Man must respect her behaviour
or suffer death and destruction if he does not

She is a thing of beauty in her calm stillness under the setting sun
which lights up the evening sky in its glorious splendour
and paints a glistening beam of light on the water's surface
in line with the sun and surrounds it
with brilliant colours of the rainbow

Why all this Destructions

Why all this Destructions? – Zamreen Zarook

God created this whole universe for the mankind,
He gave everything lavishly, thinking that we might be kind,
Even though people are able, they seems to be blind,
Whereas people failed to mind.

The sky which was created for the man started to scream and cry,
Since good morals and ethics were decry,
The fire started to do the mimicry,
As the water lands cannot bear, it came to man with a battle cry.

Land couldn't hold and it started to gorge,
Fresh air merged with chemicals and started to urge,
Whatever created for the man have started to over charged,
Stop evil and let the merits be enlarged.

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

The Rain and Wind

The wind blew events all over the place.
Intense emotions and it gave chase.
Lightning lighting to show us the sky.
People try to sleep and not cry.
Wisping by the wind keeps us awake.
The time trying to sleep the storms take.
Chills in everyone gives all shiver.
The clouds surrounded by moonlight is silver.
Heavenly prayers that the rain will stop.
The flood stopped a car the person in it was a cop.
People have seen such devastation.
The road that people made was week in creation.
Rivers near by was over flowing.
Trees that were there was not showing.
By the hour it claimed many.
My father woke up and did not see any.
Floating by was a boat.
Keeping people above water and a float.
My father kept a canoe.
That some day we would use it, that he knew.
Time to paddle up and down the street.
The rain water kept getting on our seat.
It was so dark after the moon was behind the cloud.
Still the noise of thunder still covered the ears loud.
The smell of moist water never seem to go away.
My brothers seem to still sleep anyway.
My head was bobbing up and down.
I was so tired that I could not hear a sound.
The wind blew back and fourth.
It seems that my mom and dad paddle their worth.
Till all the people we saw with grace.
Help us out with embrace.
The time was so late at night.
Everyone was so sleepy and losing sight.
The fight with the weather was so hectic.
The feelings of energy was electric.
Losing to such natural disaster is hard to understand.
When people working hard to block the river with bags of sand.
With hard workers like my mom and dad.
They make things happen that is not bad.
Rough with weather they experience more than ever.
Leaders they are they are very clever.
From the night light of street lights to the morning glow.
The wind did not stop so.
Bringing in more clouds that ill.
The people who were still tired still had will.
The rush of water and waves blasting push the wall side.
Pushing and the force brought water inside.
The battle of our hour was getting long.
Backup people came to aid us was strong.
Rested they were to keep everyone with hope.
The people stopped the water with the strength of rope.
Heavy rain and loss of homes bring people together.
It is kind of sad that this was the only time to gather.
Chaos comes happiness how true.
This is why we are human that gives us a clue.
It is our nature to keep rain falling.
To know when it is time for our calling.
The winds bring such pain and sorrow.
That is why rain sometimes fallow.

Water Angel

Sun shining
Warmth spreads over me
Gooseflesh covers my arms
I close my eyes
Inhaling deeply the scent of the sea
Looking up I watch as the waves crash around the rocky shore
The clouds roll in
I can smell the storm coming in on the wind
I sit up to leave
The fog has come in now covering everything around me
Something brushes my feet
Its cold
I look down
The tide has come in
How did it happen so quickly
I’ve lost all sense of time
The water rises fast
Pulling me in
I try to turn and walk to higher grounds
I slip
The waves are strong
Pulling me under
I am surrounded by glorious water
In a startled panic I reach for the surface
Air
I have run out of
I find the top
Gasping for air
It fills my lungs
I find I have been drug out to sea
I can no longer see the shore
A wave laps over me
Under Under Under I go
As my last breath is taken
I will myself to live
Pleading with the gods
Any who will listen
The salty water stings my eyes
Just as my last moments come
I find utter peace in all that is
This world I have found myself in is beautiful
A watery dungeon of beauty
I fall down deeper into the depths
Understanding that this shall be my prison
Excepting it
Understanding it
Wanting it
A mermaid I’ve become
A watery angel I shall be

the roar of waves and shredded sail.

her alabaster lips did drown.
the sea with rage that fateful dawn...

Turn on your light

Turn On Your Light.

Turn on your light

Turn on your light
Light the velvet softness of your night
You might have felt that breath of sweetest power
In that silver moon
That paints the twilight hours
Have you ever felt that mystic pull
That takes you from the smallest flower
To melt into the all.

I sometimes stand there staring at the sea
As each wave reaches out to destiny
To fade and then to come back
So another wave might form
To be destroyed
Then to be reborn….

Turn on your light
Pass no judgment, who’s to say what’s right?
No need for this when light is shining bright
Have you felt such magic
Have you felt that pull
It’s something that must happen to each fool
He must learn how to melt into
The silence of the all.

The secrets they be wrote within your soul
Seek them out and let them make you whole
Each flower it must bloom then die
So know your precious I
Must be destroyed
To be reborn…

Goats

Goats

They’re everywhere
These pretty little creatures
On the serpent road to Exmouth
They be some of the features
Along with Emus, Kangaroos
And handsome birds of prey
These little goats be bountiful
They’re all along the way.

They be domestic goats
Who’ve gone back to the wilds
Where they have bred one million fold.
As one moves along the miles
These little goats be seen so much
In their many shades and hues
Don’t know where they got their water
It be tough country too.

The weather here be hot and dry
As the sun bakes everything
And mostly here no rain does fall
To drinking water bring.
And yet these goats look healthy as
Such nimble little beasts
You’d see some dead there in the road
As the crows do have their feast.

That be the price of progress
That poor beasts have to die
That be the curse of human beings
Sometimes it makes me cry
Yet still they be so plentiful
These handsome little guys
Another little part of nature
That make love in me rise.

Money

If we are such a great civilization then
why is there a lack of money ?

As we sit down and watch TV
Others die starvation and poverty

as we drink clean water from a tap
Others drink dirty water thats slowly
killing there heart

As we get up and go to the shop
Others walk seventy eight miles
and come back dead from the
skin boiling heat

As we go to the fridge and there
is plenty of food
Others kill precious animals in
order to survive

As we go to sleep in our comfortable
secure beds
Others fear for there lives and most of the
time the never wake up

Ice King

Have I been summons to your presence , only to be sacrificed.
In the coldness of your breath..i will be put to a icy cold death.
With one word, I exist or not.
It is only you whom can wear your arrogant crown of ice.

You care not at all about my loss in your icy Palace of shallow glory.
I will be forgotten and disquarded , not worthy of a story .
To be replaced by a new form of ice , that ice will only be disquarded like I have been.
There is no place in your frozen heart for anyone other then you .
Are you happy with the cold Icy walls you have created in your palace Of self Worship .
You worship your self Self Ice king , surrounded by Sin.

The Second Coming of God

The good book does call for the second coming
Beyond the gates he does show his face cunning
The drip of the water that beads on his head
Holy water from the veins of the dead
Dark is he with ears pronounced
To hear the fall of those announced
His beaded nose to smell the fear
As he lines his pockets with your soul so near
Your children will fall for his precious spell
As he whistled with glee steering boats to hell
His empire will rise like the 4th Reich fuels
As his moustache no longer is needed to rule
Instead he is kind or at least he seems
As the leader of evil will make your child scream
He will deceive as you enter his land of kind
As you sell your soul to relieve your mind
Today is the day the second coming comes true
Today you will kneel to a rodent so cruel
As you slip your dual ears to look like him
Say you holy rosaries and submit your kin
Put your white gloves on to cover your black
For Mickey Mouse is your God and the ruler of tact

THE PROUD KING

Everyone called him Great
The Kind soaked with pride
He blew his own trumpet
Was he the God’s own child!

His subjects lived in misery
He did not bother for their plight
‘Can’t drink water, drink wine’
He shunted misery out of sight

Darkness never mattered for him
Beautiful women lighted his nights
No opponents to challenge him
He took delight at his might

‘Who is the wisest of you all?’
He made the wise men fight
Rewarded the chosen ones
The rest fled out of sight

The king strode over a desert once
The Sandstorms put him in a bind
Thirst overcomes him, no water at sight
His soldiers flee, left him behind

No drop of water around
The king went wild
Like an oasis, he saw a lone old man
Walking afar, nothing to hide

The Kind appealed to show the way
Promised to give back anything in kind
The old man asked for his kingdom
The angry King made him blind

The old man laughed at him
Ego made the King blind
Rains lashed over his dead body
The soul was back in humankind

love's drowning

over waves of the sounds from the glass of the sea
comes a shreak that dispersed on a night that was cursed
and flys cold with a chill; it lands squarely on me
my eyes did turn quick and wonder about
crystal pale blue was the scenes only hue
hand to my head, filled now with doubt
but was there distress on that morn i awoke?
with the sands at my feet; on an air crisp with sleet
as the autumn sun's light had not yet full broke
the question that's posed in these ramblings you'll see
for she lay down beside during moonlight's high tide
why that night my love left, n'er a word spoke to me?

Laws of the Dead

The law of emptiness takes form
Choosing a sight beset by storms
A town abandoned by its youth
Decaying resentment for any truth

I walk recounting every deed
Tracing my steps beyond the trees
A child hiding underground
Trying to talk, but lacking sound

His presence pulling at my chords
Anger within as I relate the law
The silent child turns to walk
As lights flicker out, beneath the rock

Waking to water at my knees
Sadness to see my town besieged
All life is taken by this storm
The law of the lonely has taken form

Stricken by pain beyond my time
Holding the laws to calm my mind
Recounting how this could have been
The closer I look, the more I scream

The law of blame now taking form
Finding the cause of this deadly storm
The quiet child takes my hand
A breath of water for this dying man

Late Nights

Late nights
I walk alone...
In a park
an ocean of water fountains.
A floodlight switched on:
It was the heart of my future
fugitive through waters...
The water laughs glittering in light...
I'm heading towards the precipice,
with hurried steps,
with eyes shut tightly.
For a second the floodlight turned off.
...and I...

She was Returned

It has been many years since his daughter was lost
If he could bring her back, he would at all costs
Ever since that day he has wandered and roamed
Turned his back on his family, and their loving home

His life on the road left him dishevelled and broke
When he thinks back to the past, it leaves him in choke
Another day on his lonesome travels
A stranger he meets and their discussions unravel

This old man he has met all mysterious and dark
Told him of times going back as far as the Ark
Tales of the Templar's and Merlin the Magician
After hearing the mans story he began to begin

"I lost my daughter a number of years ago
She drowned whilst on holiday under a still water flow
I couldn't comprehend the loss of her life
The pressure of living, I left my home and my wife"

"What would you do if your girl could be returned
Have you ever wondered if fate could be unearned
If this was possible, would you offer your life
For your daughter to return to her mother your wife"

"Remember, many years have passed her death by
For her past to be relived, there is a reply
Knights of the ages will descend from their dark
They will then strike you down, as you begin your embark"

"My life I have not lived for many a year
For me to lose mine, I gladly volunteer
I will die happy for all eternity
Knowing my daughter will grow old, as it should be"

The old man chants a script of the past
Of an ancient time when fate was cast
The power of they to be able to reverse
To balance their return, they have to reimburse

"Midnight skies will turn to purple cobalt blues
Six Templar Knights will stand and surround you
At your request they will strike you down
On the sixth stroke, you will face your death gown"

"A light will appear of which you'll travel through
But before you do, a young girl runs to you
Your daughter, in pink and red will run from the light
She'll run through your soul, as your sleep starts tonight"

The old mysterious man continues on his way
As he passes a house on a hot Summers day
In the garden there sits, a daughter and mother
Discussing the loss of her father, as they begin to recover

She tells of the day whilst on holiday years ago
My husband your father, lost under a still water flow
As we comprehend the loss of his life
Leaving behind his daughter and wife

Siren's Song

She’s alone under beach lights, she’s screaming at air
wishing someone would notice, could anyone hear,
feel the anguish, the loss, losing battle of one?
She’s at war with the world and she’s comming undone.
‘It’s all wrong,’ left her lips, ‘it’s alright,’ said the tides,
‘sometimes we all need a safe place to hide,
to wait inside shadows, return with new light
cause we change and we change till the patterns are right.’
‘But this pounding resounding inside of my head,
I fear is the only thing tangible left.
I can hear it and feel it consuming my head,
eats me up from the inside, lays nothing to rest.’
But the water just turned and it crashed upon rocks,
became angry, determined, climbed onto the dock,
said, ‘Listen to me, I am old and I am wise,
what reason have I to fill you with lies?
I’m a part of your body, a piece of your world,
have I not kept you living since you were a girl?’
But her feet kept on forward at a steady pace
“I’m sick and I'm tired, I'm leaving this place.
I can wait no longer for the turning of time.
I'm the only one left and I’ve been left behind.”
‘But they’re here! Someone’s coming! It won’t be long yet.”
but her mind was as certain as certain could get
and the rushing of water had drown out the sound
as the pounding inside became heavy and loud
and the water, though angry, then grew very still
whispered ‘There is nothing if nothing is fueling a will.
I cannot instill a desire to live, eventual peace is all I could give.’
So she sank and she sang all the air from her lungs,
she breathed in the waves awaited silence to come.
“As I have in you, you may now flow through me,”
and the tides changed again as they dragged her to sea.

Descent Into The Maelstrom

The maelstrom keeps pulling me inwards,
Whirlpool's spinning slowly downwards.
My strength is waning quickly;
Hope’s waning silently.
Perceive no rescue;
No help’s in view.
Life I'll misss.
Abyss;
Void

Something to Remember

Swallow to follow, to find Tomorrow-
We look to Love to seek our Sorrow
And, lo! My Soul hath become so hollow
(In my own worry I wearily wallow)
I live to die, grow old and wither
And slip away like snake to slither
No thoughts are present, nor gathered hither-
I drain in Rain to the depths of the River

Going Down

Gushing waters surround me Swelling . . . swirling, the pressure is whirling The cries are gone But the wind still screams As the timbers of my exhaust Burst in violence at the seams! I am going down I welcome the tempest with a frown Broken mast amidst the swell Purging me deeper in this watery hell Bodies concealed within Soon the pressure will win Southward bound, pell-mell Into the blue, blackened demons of watery hell! Of sickening inevitably do I sail Into the depths of my demise Gone now are the magnificent, mortal cries Swallowed by the bulging sea The wind upon the splintered timber still screams As gleeful as can be! Going down I never knew I would falter and die in the deep dark blue Going down I see Past fly And wave with my sail the Future—goodbye

Telling the Story

The drums could be heard far away
across the savannah they travelled
spreading, telling the awful news

One village drums talking to another
as much as fifty or so miles away
dreadful news they told the listeners

Of the worst drought in living memory
people dying like flies with thirst
animals stuck in mud trying to reach

The last few drops of brackenish water
bloated carcass's everywhere you look
hopeless in people's eyes watching

The drums beat ever louder and faster
but no help can they bring to sufferers
only water can do that, can rejuvenate

Bring back life, and fresh greenery for all
now the drum tone changes becomes insistent
rain two hundred miles away will it reach?

Soon the rivers burst their banks flooding
in what seems an instance all springs back
that life saving water has rejuvenated all

Gator Bait Series 1st Cold Snapped

The wind was blowing when she left the city...

I believe it was twenty below...

Where she was going she already knew...

But... first she had things she had to do...

Get rid of the body that was clear....

There were no options, it had to disappear....

The heater was broken and blowing cold air...

She could feel the ice, building up in her hair..

She had cleaned up the blood as best she could...

As she had hit him hard with that log of wood...

All she had asked him, was to light a fire...

To take off the chill in the house....

Do it yourself if you are cold...he snapped

And while you’re at it get me a cold beer...from the fridge..

It was early morning when she finally arrived at the bridge..

This was his favourite fishing spot...

She pushed his body off the pier...along with his ice cold beer..

And suddenly began to shiver and sneeze.....

Oh well, she said...this too shall pass..

When I get to the Florida Keys..

PS..this is the first in a series..watch for part 2.."gator bait..the dream "

In search of masculinity

In search of masculinity

In search of masculinity
Small minds, with big shotguns
They search the wetlands shooting ducks
They love to call this fun
In the lovely peace of our wetlands
In the early hours of morn
Our ducks they swim there peacefully
Till mayhem, it is born.

The sound of shotguns going off
They frighten all these bird
As they swim there so peacefully
The poor birds they be stirred
And fly away in blind panic
As our hero’s shoot them down
The ugliness of human beings
Oh how it makes me frown.

Not all these birds are killed out right
For many get away
And have to lie there suffering
Sometimes for many days
Maybe this is why they call
Us human beings humane!!
I think that folk who live to kill
They live their lives in vain.

The Way We Were

halcyon days, indelibly printed in water colored memories,
cloud my vision, bringing tears to aging faraway eyes
I remember other days of sunshine, water gently caressing banks
of emerald trees so vibrant they appeared to whisper and dance
you with your brilliant thirsting eyes and impish cherub smile
when you grasped my hand to lead you into yet another of our adventures

I eagerly showed you boyhood wonders that were ours for the taking
calming racing hearts, for as brothers, together we quelled our fear
today I stand by your ebony coffin, no longer able to walk with you
this last adventure now your own, I can no longer comfort or protect
all that remains inside of me little brother, are the simple memories
the deepest yearning to be as we once were, together, tasting boyhood
innocence

EYE Don't See -Part 1-

My eyes
Pour forth feelings
That I’ve felt in the past
They make my heart ache…
Take it all away…
Oh my God…
They’re making me sink in dismay

When will they break away?
When will they give me a break?

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye don’t see
A happy ending in this scene

My eyes
Journeys into the unknown
Who knows what will happen…
They’re like hidden treasure…
They’re buried far below…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Oh my God…
They’re driving me insane
When will they see my reflection?
When will they heal the infection?

Eye don’t feel
Raindrops of hope and relief
All I feel…is grief…
Eye sense no peace…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Does He hear
My supplications?
Does He sense
My fear?

My eyes
Conceals the tears that dare to spew out
I feel trapped and lost without a doubt…
They erase my delight…
They seek my hurt…
Oh my God…
They’re casting me away into the perilous sea

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace throw out my fear?

Eye don’t see
A ship in sight…to save me from my demise
My lifeless body...
Drifts away in the wild ocean...
Without a sound...
Without emotion...

Eye don’t see
A rope to hold on to…
My hope for peace
Has drowned…

Mass Slaughter Due To Lack Of Water

Water, as most of you will know,
has the chemical formula H2O.
Now this essential liquid is, as well,
in its natural form, devoid of smell,
and also in its pure state,
it's clear and clean and really great,
for keeping living things alive,
as without it nothing can survive.
Yes it really is such magic stuff,
because without it things are really tough,
and it often makes me stop and think.
each time I pour myself a drink.
What would I do if it all dried up?
Turn on the tap, but an empty cup!
Nothing from the pipes emanating,
panic, as I'm not used to waiting.
This is not how it is for me,
I live where rain falls frequently,
and I can drink, shower and bathe too,
as often as I'm wanting to.
But in other parts it rains only rarely,
and people there, well they can barely,
find enough water for their needs,
to drink, to wash, to nurture seeds.
For them life is infinitely harder,
they've learned to live with an empty larder,
and simple hygiene is so hard to achieve,
when the detritus of living, they have to leave,
lying, rotting, stinking on the surface all around,
polluting any water source in the ground.
Because of the extreme poverty of these 'others',
on my TV screen I have seen the faces of the mothers,
whose children died because there has never been
access to water which is drinkable and clean.
Yes, something that we take for granted,
because we were born, where we were planted!

This is today's news:
A sinkhole swallowed a man whole
as the earth yawned

in the ancient land
of monsoons and man-of-wars
after the waters

ceased. One was portrayed as
man suddenly gone, captured
live for us to see.

Acid Dawn

Let us rest our heads upon the pillow of denial, turn twilight in the last clear reflection of the silent moon. Where vile droppings fell the freshness of the morning sea, turn to graveyards, lest we be;
...swimming in an acid dawn.

The corpse of shellings, scales a strewn, where once transparent was so blue,
this morning features scarlet hue, as skin is shredded in the burning morn.
Where vile droppings fell the freshness of the morning sea, turn to graveyards,
lest we be;
...swimming in an acid dawn.

...And come mid sun up, we shall bathe;
within sulfuric, petrol waves and drink our lemon juice until we choke.
Till our teeth rot and our tears evoke, the pandora’s box which we awoke.

An orange bright, our arid plight, and we the specks of dust behind;
lurching a dehydrated, evaporated existence. Famine on our minds.
Walking footsteps which no longer walk, dreaming of the past to escape the future as the present seeps our blood and marrow, the desert sun, a piercing arrow, stabbing at our hearts.

We hobble, oh we hobble and we hobble through the wasted years, through bones and makeshift graves, we’ll hobble into the final age;
where vile droppings fell the freshness of the morning sea, turn to graveyards,
lest we be;
...swimming in an acid dawn.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is estimated that within the next decade or two that the ocean will become so acidic as to dissolve the shells of mollusks and shellfish. This in addition to the already dwindling supply of precious fresh water which we must share with our animal friends. A supply by the way that we contaminate regularly, a supply that simply cannot be renewed.

Desalination was looked upon as the next great solution to water shortage despite it's expense. However considering how the oceans are becoming increasingly polluted due to oil spill after oil spill and Fukushima's constant radioactive leaks, in addition to the acidification of the ocean itself, it appears that we will have no viable water to look forward to in the future.

This is life. Forget profit, it doesn't exist. Nature has no concept of wealth, only of survival. If we all die, everything that we've accomplished will be forgotten, nature has no use for it. Currency will return to being simply paper and stone, and nothing else.

We need to stop thinking about ourselves and think of our children and all the other species that live upon the earth.

O' Sandy

As we lay beneath the moons glare
A simple look will never prepare
It seems quite
It seems peaceful
Without the light nothing appears displaced
Only that sight is a lie, not really a sight
The suns arrival comes with the truth
Now we can see what needs to be seen
It disguises as if it was a dump
Yet, it never was the place of any garbage
A day ago it was a living society set with a stage
The performance came her name was sandy
The audience took her act to heart
She took lives
She took memories
She tore us all apart
A scary performance, always to be remembered
Now to fix up, the damage that was widespread

It'll Be Okay

Hold my hand, don't ever let go
close your eyes, it'll save you from
the war we're in. Innocence doesn't matter.
Can you smell the burning embers?

Cling to me, I'll protect you.
The horrors surrounding us won't
Taint you no matter how hard they
try i promise.

I scream and you cry. It's just another day on the train,
Cold and starving, surrounded
by others dressed in filth.

Death's perfume rest in
The air. Filling our lungs
Making it so hard to breathe.
"It'll be okay"

My hands cover your ears
in hope that the others' tears
wont haunt your dreams too.
Can you smell the burning embers??

In the distance, I hear
Their orders. Slowly,
The crowd moves
Taking you from me.

Our fingers cling to each other
As dirty tears slip down our faces.
They come and rip you away.
There's nothing I can do.

a number is put on my arm.
Have they branded you the way they
Did me?? All of us are
Treated like we're parasites

My dignity is destroyed
when they force me to take
off my clothes. I cry again
When cold water splashes Me

Herded with the others,
I try to find you but
to no avail. My head hangs
When i realize that I'm alone

Days and weeks pass.
Night is the worst, the
cold cuts into me like
a knife through butter.

a light shone into my eyes
forces me awake. They grab me
from the ground and
push me into a room.

Again, they take away my
rags. Naked, I'm forced into
A small room with
Showerheads.

Fingers touch my shoulder,
I turn to see you and shout
with happiness as we embrace.
The showers turn on.

Your eyes water and
I cough. It's suddenly
hard to breathe. we
cling togetger and cough.

around us, others
are falling. together,
we collapse. I smile.
"It'll be okay."

FLOATING EMOTIONS ON A RAINY DAY

Falling on earth, raindrops
Resound with nimble noise
And moisturizes those crops
With its damp aquatic voice.

Lightning astounds fiercer
Than the flashings of Sun.
It scatters hither and thither
As if it were a childish fun.

The roads mingles wastes
And sinks in watery flood.
People discard their castes
As water unify their blood.

Every heart feels something,
Moments of joy, expectation,
Some hearts hurt by a sting,
Some full of intense passion.

The River brims with water
And it combines with village
As if it were part of the river
While houses, trees submerge.

In some places water wedges
With tranquility of damp flow
Though murky furrows, sludges
Whilst tenor of longings glow.

The echoes of raindrops float
And load some eyes with tear,
Rouse some unconscious heart
With a sense of unknown fear.

Some think of coming future,
Some remember elapsed past,
Some identifying with Nature
Sense the season as their last.

Jamaican Elegy For An Intellectual (Rex. R. Nettleford) Part III

He danced on the decks of tossing ships, danced only for dimes
He danced to the lash and sound of whips, hip moving like dream
And when he reasoned, his words sublime brought heavenly climes
Dance from plantation to Greathouse, dancing in gully and stream
And if we dance again today, he choreographs nuance and fiber
Still; this talented son, this bright native of the Martha Brae River.
He is the twin soul of that Manley, our horizons in the sun
And when at Mona, he taught me how to run with my ton.

O farewell, brother of my brother, mentor that from your distance shape
Me into a patriotic landscape where my children may build, farewell
Sweet intellect; and O may they bring our Mframadan like cloth to drape
Your rest. All your public life was nobly spent, farewell, Rex, farewell!
Your footprints are bright, not castles in sand, from high hills shine
The glory of your days. O Griot, go the bidding now of the Divine
O Blow the abeng now, beat the kumina drum, O village peel
The bells of jubilee again. Aluta Continua, Rex, go take your seal!

Mi mumma band her belly and bawl long time, yai water like rain
Hot like Clarendon springs, and the world like blue mountain mist
So cold, O emptiness, emptiness is such a dread, O such a pain
What shall we do with out hollowness now, and how shall we resist
Again the shackles of injustice, O that there were Marley
To sing this icon into the icon of memory, for all our history
Is but words on a page until we can retrieve the past to right
Today and make tomorrow bright again. He was that light.

                                          Coda
O Kilmanjaro weep! O Timbuctu weep! O Meroe and kujo's clan
Weep for the death of man, a sterling man, a grandiose design
That met its worth in gold in deeds of him. All our life is like sand
Worn from the rock of being by tides and seasons, and no sign
To tell where wind or water carry us, we are blown away
The shadow of the sand is gone, but never cannot decay
It is too immaterial, its presence is like his fragrance here
Bill still O Niger, and you great Nile, I borrow you for a tear.

a vet's friday

A Vet’s Friday

A sparrow was picking insects on the road a car came, the bird nearly
got away, but was hit by the car’s wing mirror I stopped dismounted
and picked it up. It looked stunned gasping for air. Put the bird on
the shady, grassy verge, waited for it to recover, and to see it fly away.
Afar, behind the mountain range, smoke two helicopters with big bags
of water hanging underneath are flying towards the forest fire.
The countryside is dry yet the sun goes on shining hot and spiteful.
I look at the sparrow it had overcome and died with an open beak; and
I was the only witness. My effort to be a rescuer and a hero in my own
vanity had failed, was it my heavy hands that had shocked it to death.
Nothing more to do I can’t stay here all day looking at a dead bird.
The helicopters are returning to fill those enormous bags with water in
a nearby lake and sparrows do as they must pick insects off the road
while we wait for rain.

The Showers

No air, no space, no light
water gone, food gone, people gone
He can’t take it much longer –
might go crazy.

He thinks it’s a dream,
a hallucination
the train has stopped.

Reality sets in as quickly
as it seemed to have faded.
The doors are ushered open
by bullets and shouting.

Left! Right! Stop! Leave it!
His dignity is stripped away with
every piece of clothing he takes off.
At least water is coming soon.

Do you think the guards would
notice if he drank some? They
would probably laugh at him.

No air, no space, no light

He holds on to the reassurance
of a shower when he should
be preparing for death.

His water never came,
the showerheads never
sputtered to life --

This was written in response to the horrors of the Holocaust: Jews transported in
cattle cars, told they were going to get showers, but then killed by way of gas.

broken

Dear Lord
This is my minority report
my people have been outcasted
food and water is short.
Population persecution set up for political power
so my people bear their fate, in their faith
in search of a higher power.
jesus christ!
the planes just crashed into the towers
is not that a indication we approaching our final hours?!
Katrina shedded her tears on New Orleans
The coke can levee's collasped
and the rain came pouring
big momma inhaled the sea water while she was snoring
Damn! A wave just ran off with cousin La'Teemah
It's been five days and still nothing from F.E.M.A
Bodies for rafts as the news crew continue to fly pass
we float in the alligator infested water with no food, power or gas!
Dear Lord, how long this nightmare going to last?
Just a few more days,
help is on the way,
just be patient and pray,
is all the D'evils could say!
Like they dont see nothing wrong
with whats going on
i just lost everything i owned
and to make the Super Dome my new home!
30,000 was the count,
if you didnt get in, you drowned
some of my kin was found!
But the rest wasnt,
lost a aunt, a brother, and a few cousins
and you wondering why i'm cussing
news copters fly low my gun busting
Cause they not here to help us,
so i wait on the next bus
hoping to secure a seat for me
but living with the reality
this here might be it for me
im broken!

GOD NEVER FORGETS A GOOD-HEARTED SOUL

Some friends willfully forget an unlucky heart
from whose trine flowed the richest waters
to soothe their qualms
as desert shady palms.
It gave them all it had, leaving nothing for itself;
hasn't forgetfulness replaced the warmth of that light?

Someone should remind them by writing on a wall:
that God never forgets a goodhearted soul
for the generous deeds it has done:
giving everything and receiving none!
" Shame " should be written on each face...
proclaiming to be righteous and favored by grace!

He lives in a shack built on wood poles shaken by cyclones,
and he survives on water and crackers,
a candle has replaced a light-bulb with thirty watts...
even tap water can't satiate his empty guts;
a slice of bread is a rare delicacy,
not mentioning cheap, tasteless coffee.

God never forgets a goodhearted soul,
the one that helped others face life with grit
and feeding their mouths by uplifting their spirit;
where are they now: distant as a cloud, looking down as a seagull?
Why can't they attend to his needs with generosity and wit?
No, he is not one of them anymore...only a disgraced destitute!

Rags clothe his body, but joy dwells in his faithful soul,
prayers keep him alive...he rejoices greeting the dazzling sunrise;
into the pristine river he bathes daily and sings with truthful and joyful eyes:
he will have tasted Paradise even before his death!
The poor man, so rich in faith, will sing until you runs out of breath;
the forgotten man, so weak, will reach Heaven having completed his earthly role!

I miss you

I walk among the willow trees
Gently swaying in the breeze
Reflection touches my mind my sole
Memories of a woman once whole
Before abusing medication and alcohol
Precious Sister allowing them to take control
Before life's trials took her away
I Remember she smiles in a special way
The light that twinkled in her eyes
The joy from comforting her baby's cries
Her spirit shines through her good deeds
Always catering to others needs
Further down the trail I here water splash
Memories of water fights I can see her dash
Laughing, running with bucket in hand
Back then she thought life was grand
The pills began to help her pain subside
Then came the drinking she tried to hide
A flash of good times return to my mind
Then sorrow and tears she's left behind
Solace in knowing this is not the end
Someday we'll see our dear sister and friend

It Breathes

I wonder if it’s that hard?
I am young and full of years.
I walk this beach every day and watch
The tides come in, and drive back out.
Birds fly gracefully above my head and
The breeze blows sand into my face.
My feet sink into the damp out skirt of the shore
And I splash around in the water.

It’s not easy to come across death and not respond
In some sort of way. I am full of energy
And you lay by my side faded away.
Even though you are only a bird
You deserve a proper burial. Your wings have
Insects circling around them. Buz-buz and zzzz.
They are waiting for me to
Go. But I can’t just leave you here.
What if it was me laying here dead?
I would like to think just because I am human
And you are an animal, we are similar.
We both share the same air,
We both need nourishment, we both live and
We both die. I’d like to think if I were you someone
On this planet would care.

You once flew with that sun kissed colored wings
I walk with these porcelain painted legs
As I take off my white zip- up sweater and show you respect
I gently cover you before the rest of the inspectors come.
How you ended up along this beach
Lifeless and deserted, I shall never know.
Maybe you were sick? Or it was just your time.
But I will give you a proper burial
It’s a seed that I must sow
Showing respect for a life

As the tide comes and it goes.

a place that you could never imagine

no trees for cover

just water flowing through the ground
ripping life away from all it encounters
in this picture there is no ground
no solid place to fall on
its just a free fall to no where

beauty that kills

i see an ocean wave crashing with no mercy
destroying everything in its path
i see an ocean wave killing other people
swallowing their houses and their life
all of what they worked for
is now gone,
nobody can save what under the water now
this one wave took everything
killed all of their dreams and hopes
but still it did it so gracefully
that it made me hope
it made me think of flowers
in an open field
flowers so colorful
that even when their asleep
they take your breath away
from the beauty they unleash
a beauty so disastrous
that it kills everything in their path?!!
wow, this beauty's like a curse on earth
it serves as well
but at the same time it kills are hearts
the hearts of people filled with dreams
well, none of that matters now
because their dead and so is their dream
some may have thought of college
after a four year high school degree
they all had hopes just like you and i
well now they dont even have a home
to look out of the window on a long dreadful night
but those who made it out alive
they can still dream
in fact they can make it happen
build a knew hope far away from the water far away from the light
they may even escape the cold dreadful nights
but its useless because even in the desert will they live
a hurricane will start the grief again
so you keep building, keep achieving
going nowhere with your life
just remember you can never run enough
to hide from the wrath of God

Quiet Waters

Streams of blue fluid
Flows downward
As fragile carcasses decay
Without a peep of a sound

We’re in the brink of disaster…

Who invited such fear and anguish?
Who could lead us to quiet waters?

We bleed…
Polluting the waters below us…
Trickling down the mountain
To our filthy feet…

Cleansing the sin off of our skin
But, it’s tangled from deep within…

The eeriness breaks
The hearts of a thousand strangers
They all fall away powerlessly…
Into the chambers of death

Danger is lurking in every corner…
Pursuing its evil plans
To cut down our hopes…
Growing like crops…
Rising rapidly –
It never stops

Dreams of misfortune still
Rapes our minds,
Plaguing our happiness…
Consuming the darkness…

We’re sprawling on the ground…
We’re crawling like infants…
Veering briskly like serpents…

Who will set our souls free
From suppression?

Who will preserve our hearts?
Don’t prey upon our
Guiltless lives…
We’re in complete agony…
Does He consider
Our prayers
Of support and nourishment?

We scream…
Breaking the repulsive solitude…

Encourage us to keep on
Trekking toward Your light

Where’s Your path?

You rinse off all of the sorrow
Giving us a ecstatic tomorrow

The weeping ceases…
While the corpses
Tear into
Blood-spattered
Pieces…

The faith of a couple of people
Strengthens us…keeps us motivated…
Not captivated…
In misery…
We’re reaping our
Ecstasy…
Leading us to peace and fortune
Keeping us accustomed
To Your purifying spirit…
Keeping us away from
Calamity…

We’re hungry…
Our demise is close at hand…
Closing in on us abruptly
Like an obscure cave…

Rescue us from affliction –
Embracing downhearted clouds…

Those wretched clouds…

Brought us rain when we asked for bread…

Those merciless clouds…

Spewed out scorching fire when we asked for relief…

Remember our supplications…
Appalling lightning’s daring to strike us
Out of cruel vengeance
Out of sheer amusement

Don’t even attempt to weaken us
We’re blossoming in joy…
We’re under cover…
You can’t manipulate us
Like a subtle toy

We’re praying for
Quiet waters

Offer the deceased
A second chance

Don’t disown
Our broken lives

We’re not alone…

We’re just waiting until
The quiet, glistening waters
Gratefully arrives…

Siren

Siren:

The water thrashes against the long boat as my enchanting voice grasps the lonely sailors attention. Their eyes dance in wonder and awe as they gaze upon the vixen of water, slowly they lose control and I obtain their frail human willpower.

Their vessel sails into the bleak as it crashes into the rocks lining the oceans deep and with each bewitching note I sing my mother, the water brings them slowly to their watery grave.

I open my arms welcoming each man who plummets willingly from the bow and pity those who would rather drowned with great sadness and woe.

With one final course I croon, their ship crashes to the sandy bottom of the sea and there my sailors will wait with the other men who sailed into my murderous wake, for I am the vixen, the siren of the red sea.

Death Calls Out to Us

What does death want with us? Why does it laugh viciously when it takes another? Why do we cry so when we loose yet another? When will we realize that the end an end is near? How can we, be ready, in every moment? How can we, stand, when all around us falls? How can we carry on when everything emits death? How can we continue on, brushing death aside? What gives us that false sense of pride? Oh, that which we try to hide, That, That which we try to hide… How long will it take until the tide washes over??When will it wash over our lines in the sand? Will you and I then run hand in hand? Or, will the waves wash away our names? IS it all these silly games? All the silly things that I call fame. How simple is it, that the sand simply returns? Never the same as it was, but washed away. Like time in a bottle, Dripping away. Dripping, slowly, quickly away. How will I face the entire onslaught of the waves? When the water is rushing in, will I sink or swim? How can I blame the water, When I never learned to swim? How can I blame the air? The air I never learned to breathe. How can I blame the water that drags me down? What does it do? Nothing… Can’t I still breathe? Aren’t my lungs filling with water? How can I blame this feeling, so painful, for how I feel? Don’t I have myself? Myself and only I? Am I truly the reason? The reason why waves crash and pour from my eyes? Am I the reason they fill my lungs? Am I the reason death’s pain still stung?

Suicide

Standing on the shore, A girl fully clothed with no shoes. Her eyes filled with great suffering.. .lost hope ensues. As she notices the water stretches as far as she can see, her hearts implore won't let her be. The sky changes color. First green to blue then gray. Much to her dismay her shattered emotions now egress. "The color gray, the color gray." her tears profess traveling down her face "Oh, why the color gray." A color so dark, so deep, still allowing you to see the depiction of sadness it brings. To the sky, in her heart, buried deep in her mind. In the sky is that feeling. A very isolated out-pour of a feeling.. a feeling she tryed so desperately deny. The tide, closing in. small foamed waves now landing at her feet. It's so cold, the water. Identical to her, how she feels, all she only knows now. Numbness. Weakness. and her defeated soul. Depleted ..A heart is now left with no beat. She reflects on the lost hope her broken heart tried to hide. Seeing within herself the damage it has done. "Love is it" she says in a soft whisper ".. love is it." The disturbance of the oceans song snatched her out of realization. As she listened to the water, as it forcefully emerges hitting the shore and it's rocks with all it's might, as she listened to the water cascade back towards the ocean only to return hitting harder. The ripples and waves. Uncontrolled, involunterily. She is relieved for the ocean is singing the same song. Her song.."Love is it" she mumbled. "It understands how I feel. It knows exactly what I am going through." She smiles. "Love is it. The beating of my heart, with pain constrained inside it. The utmost sadness. Blinded happiness and misguided hope." The heart lies beat-less... No more discursion: Her last thought before submerging her body deep into the depths of ocean. In acceptance. Drowning. No longer standing on the shore. A girl fully clothed with no shoes.

Lost Hope

I’m riding along on this massive ship.
Titanic is the most fitting name for it.
Bold in grandeur and timeless beauty,
Downstairs neighbor to the rich and snooty.
Treated like cargo and feeling unimportant
By those who feel they are most important.
I escape my tiny quarters to go upon deck
As I feel the cold piercing the nape of my neck.
My breath creates steam as hot meets the cold.
I look into the night air, to the mysteries untold,
This journey to a place where life promises better.
I love her already and I never even met her.
Oh, America, the land of opportunities!
So excited to prosper within her communities.
Daydreams of hope are quickly interrupted
As the ship’s journey is violently disrupted.
I lean overboard to see what’s the confusion
And I hope what my eyes see is all an illusion.
Large and white, cold-hearted in the night,
An iceberg passes by invading my sight.
Shock has stopped my brain from reacting…
An unusual sound of water becomes distracting…
The water quickly covers the floor I stand on…
And all my hopes and dreams are soon to be gone.
The important don’t care about us at the bottom,
“Don’t try saving them; the water’s already got ‘em.”
I stare at the night and I don’t fight for my life.
The important has slashed my hopes with a knife.
Got us down here, alone, with no way out,
Stealing our hope only to replace it with doubt.
The water is to my stomach; I can’t feel my toes,
I find absolutely no comfort within my wet clothes.
The screams are haunting and so full of fear.
We at the bottom know our time is near.
The important at least have some kind of a chance
While we at the bottom catch a watery slow dance.
The water is to my chin and I’m frozen stiff.
My nose is too cold for me to take a sniff.
The water is to my nose and now I can’t breathe.
I can’t even stop to think how this is happening.
It all ends here in this dark, freezing ocean.
I’m too numb to feel any real emotion.
The water engulfs me as I float inside my grave,
Wishing I was somewhat important enough to save.
I’ve never met you but America, I say good-bye.
The middle of the ocean is where I am fated to die.

Elements of Death

The wind outside is raging
without a reason why
while my inner soul is aging--
its time has come to die.

maybe the two have absolutely no relevance
or maybe the soul becomes one of the four elements:
wind, water, air, earth--
the elements of death,
not the elements of birth.

My Dad

Seashores empty…
Strolling through the sand
Washing warm, the waves of memory
Here from where I stand

Whitewash sails
Jetting in the distance
Reminiscing fondly
Of my loving dad

He loved to sail
Longed to be free, to fly
I saw it, like loftng seagulls
As we cast off, the smile in his eyes

Although, worry in mine
With water spread so deep
Fatherly arms surrounding
Holding a son close to his seat

Capturing the rhythms of the breeze
He yelled, as took stern command
And harnessing gales onto canvas
All with steady hand

It was a wonder to behold
As he became the wind
And one with the water
Or did they… become him?

In awe...
We cut through wave
Like the glorious whales
He to a vessel, commendeering brave

Here, upon vastly open seas
Far… far... beyond the break
Was the young boy inside my dad
Again beginning to wake

He died, after that summer
Hence, solace and serene
And now, alone I stand missing him painfully
Reflecting, on a moment that only lives on in daydream

Narcissus

A snow white flower shines in the soft light of a silent meadow. The words that you speak I shall forever echo. A lost love in the dark of the night. They all look your way, but are you blind? Can you not see the beauty of me? I echo your words, I echo your call; can you not hear the silent voice of me at all? I cannot whisper your name, my voice is gone. Silent I shall ever stay, until you speak again. My laughter shall sneak from my lips, until the last word has been spoken, Silent shall I stay again. Silver snowflakes fall in the glory of the dawn. My words are forever caught up hanging silently in my throat, strangling, dangling horridly on my cold lips. A mirrored reflection stares coldly back at you. The water paints a beautiful picture, golden and shining in the crystal spectrum. Will you fall to the hopeless masterpiece inside? Don't give into the lies that haunt your mind, can't you see that you're beautiful again? Beautiful until the end. You see me standing, afraid to think; so you speak. Can I echo your name? Can't you see that I'm afraid to breathe tonight? I'll always recall your words. With you, I shall never be alone. I won't let you go, though your desire is to be gone. In my heart you will forever live on. Farewell you bid unto the world. Farewell I echo to you. I choke in the invisible tears. The reality kills me as I drink in the truth of my deepest fears. Why Narcissus? Why my true love? Why you? Silver snowflakes fall in the glory of the dawn. My words are forever caught up hanging silently in my throat, strangling, dangling horridly on my cold lips. A mirrored reflection stares coldly back at you . The water paints a beautiful picture, golden and shining in the crystal spectrum. Will you fall to the hopeless masterpiece inside? Don't give into the lies that haunt your mind, can't you see that you're beautiful again? Beautiful until the end. I found a flower near the enchanted pool. You placed it there for me, didn't you? Forever the echoes cry out in my mind. Farewell Narcissus, until we meet again. Farewell, I'll see you whenever my time here comes to an end. Farewell, we shall be together again.

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill went up the hill

To fetch a pail of water.

Jack went right, Jill left,

In different directions to see

Who could reach the top first.

On his way up, Jack tripped on a

Rock and roughly tumbled all

The back down, blood

Spewing from his head.

Jill screamed, seeing this happen

But knew that she couldn’t do

Anything; she was afraid of heights

And as she sheepishly peered

The long ways down the hill

Her vision blurred slightly and she

Felt dizzy. She knew she wouldn’t

Be able to make it back down by herself

So, continued to run, she did, all

The way up to the hill, where

The pail of water sat, crying

The whole way.

She was almost there,

The pail of water was in sight

She smiled, silently screaming

    Her victory. Laughing, tears streamed

Down her cheeks; Jack would’ve been happy

For her. But she celebrated, it seems,

Too early, for she slipped on the wet, wet

Grass and she tumbled down, down, down

The hill only to meet her death, her blood

Marking a trail behind her, her screams echoing

Through the trees.

Jack and Jill went up the hill,

to fetch a pail of water

Only to fall back down and get killed.

With no new colors
Pure as driven snow
White water
Washes my deserted
cuts clean
Same as before
Same as it ever was
Cue the exit music

Suicide

It made you feel good, emptied
Of emotional weight. You lay against
The enamel, water up to your waist
And of course the blade.
You wanted to make it special. Scented
Candles and the blinds pulled up.
You could see the sun, rough like a tangerine.
Crowded by the sky, you felt its pain.
You let the blade kiss your flesh, a jagged tear
It was strong like leather, some sort of mesh.
The water turned pink, left a tidemark
Round the tub. He said he’d leave you,
In a weighted breath, you uttered ‘Good luck.’

NEVER BE AFRAID TO BE PROUD of AMERICA

America, the abundant, the place I was born
I'll cherish till the day I die.
Where the bones of past heroes lie buried in the ground
Who loved her the same as I.

Her mountains are so tall they reach for the sky;
With prairies where the green grasses grow.
There's billions of trees where wild birds nest
With creatures that flourish below.

That blue gold called water with which we are blessed
As raindrops or crystallized snow;
Changes to rivers and fresh water lakes
While the winds of our seasons blow.

There's the haunt of a whistle from a lonely freight train
Racing on ribbons of steel
With the harvest of farms and from the factories
Balanced in a box on a wheel.

Some cities have buildings a hundred stories tall,
Structures of concrete, glass and steel.
A statue in a harbor, a present from France,
Describes how, inside, we feel.

That flag on the moon with red and white stripes
Proves America’s dreams come true.
A country of heroes who line up to protect
The past, the present and the few.

We’ll defeat terrorism as it should be fought
Never letting Satan’s horde chase us to our door.
Safeguarding our borders and system of life
As our forefathers sacrificed before.

Never be afraid to be proud of America
And march with the brave, faithful and just.
Refusing to submit to the will of our enemies
Standing firm to preserve what we trust.

Baptism

Water rushes past my face
 Coolness and chills sink in
Goosebumps pop and hair raises
 On this brand new skin
The warmth of the breeze hits me
I feel it's breath, it's near
Passes by my shoulders
Hits me in my ears
 Sun reflects off the ripples
It blinds me, hits my eyes
Orbs and halos fill my vision
When I look up to the sky
 I sometimes gulp the water
Salt dissolves on my tongue
The crystals dance inside my mouth
To a song I've never sung
I lie in the caressing water
I lie there carelessly
Floating to a new place
A place for God and me

this is my first time actually trying free verse.
give me your thoughts, where i need improvement or what have you.
any help is appreciated

we live in mingled symmetry
with port holes in our face
stepping back we see the past
while stepping forward its gone again
you see the water rising slow
as if the ocean had swallowed us
dragging us down, further than we thought
but no one has yet to panic
we know the end must come
and come it shall

we looked into the waters depths
to see if its alright
the light has dimmed from the surface
not much is left to see.
a piercing shriek escapes the blue
and reaches inside our ships walls
we wont be back to the ones we loved
but panic we shall not

our blood stays warm in the face of this new threat
the water seeping passed the cracks of the boards
how the ship has withstood so much
none of us can be sure
intact it stays, as we hit the bottom
the cracks get larger with the force
a spray of salty ocean infiltrates
ignoring everything in its path.

THE DARK SEA KISSED BY THE RADIANT MOONBEAMS

It's awfully quite at the end of August, placid fireflies
come out before the appearance of stars;
how tender, how beautiful are the rolling waves
in the dark sea kissed by the radiant moonbeams!

Absorbed in deep thought, I welcome another evening of solitude
with a peace that is more perplexing and intriguing than silence;
calmness stupefies, even more than the serenity inside...
do I need friends, if I have the company of the entire universe?

Crystalline, clear water splashing and bubbling,
reaching the spot where I am profoundly thinking,
bringing a soothing feeling after a very hot afternoon...
hoping not to lose the brilliance of the dotted moon!

Tired mind, rest and refresh yourself at sunrise,
detach yourself from the constant habit of searching and creating;
release the worries and rest, let fantasy spice up your fabulous stories...
thoughts that lead to pen, to finally become liberating!

On the glistening rocks, owls hoot in hunger and start attacking their preys...
the defenseless oysters try to get back into the salty water and be safe in the seaweeds,
but they are caught by their claws, and with no strength left and blood in their eyes...
they die and their carcasses will be ripped apart and consumed by the ravens!

Stop! Enough of this ugly spectacle! Let me turn the eyes to something truly delightful;
see the dark sea kissed by the radiant moonbeams to make this August' night really indelible!
A ship, with its thousands lights reflecting in the steady flow of the waves, is approaching;
the lighthouse's guard announces its arrival...oh, this scene is so fascinating!

match my nature

the lovely leaves of spring call to you so sing
the wave of summer heat puts you under me
the fall of leaves and seeds brings about new trees
the winter of bliss or blizzard still sends you out for a chill
you bring me together just like the weather soft of touch
yet light as a feather now a breeze will blow as well
cause a light to grow a fire still to see
if you match my nature if being burned by a sun
the right flight to see it undone a float and trick
your own be done the glasses we drop for your eyes to pop
the sunlight travels thru nature to left as such it
can burn right too if and when you light a match
this is fire too a hunters scope can work this out
a field of magnifiying pods set at levels of height
can burn down so much yet blow these up too
but will it be a buckle or shoe no this aint no hot
cinderlla story ture but what happens as fire turns
to blue a search for water the block to shock
a electrical fire burns as well travels blue even
thru lakes the storms and fires both roam
were be the safety the be when water is no escape
the reality to learn one way or another you also
may burn cause as fast as you are its faster still
when fire of rocks known as lava still you self
and be quick or the next match be you my stick
to all the world how do you feel of hotstuff still
go fast as a light the fight is won now the power
of the sun yours be undone or well ? hell

Sargasso

Sargasso
..by D Johnson
Fourteen days adrift time slowly slipped
on the good ship Cavalier
Becalmed, morose, no water they sipped
drank rum to calm their fear
The fog was thick o'er water and ship
On the swell it heaved and slid
They cooked a brew of weevily stew
while the scurvy came unbid
For days on end they searched a way
to leave this fog behind
no salt sea spray but the fog did stay
And the captain lost his mind
The men aloft could see not much
And the cook he often swore
The meat was full of maggots and such
and green as the forest floor
the boatswains mate didn't hesitate
he swung from the mast at four
the knot he made to hold his weight
was said by some quite poor
Old Will he said it should be done
ten coils on the noose for sure
they lingered on this end of one
for soon there'd be four more
though darkness came who was to blame
who brought the curse on the ship
they searched in vain for the old boatswain
then over the side he'd slip
come dawn of day a ship they say
came looming from the fog
its masts were bent and sheets were rent
and the captain called for grog
just one man stood near the deck fore grate
it's timber ghostly grey
perhaps he was the masters mate
n'er a glance he cast our way
we hailed him then with all our might
not a move e'er came from him
as the ship was drifting out of sight
the head rolled from his skeleton thin
Old Will now said "yes mates we're dead
this is the sargasso sea
there's no escape from this" he said
"only death will set you free"
so madness came some went insane
rat poison cook did share
the captain with an axe was slain
and death was everywhere
corpses now bobbed around the ship
like jelly fish near a beach
their accusing eyes attention grip
stone dead but out of reach
when I alone was left to moan
the fate befallen me
a breeze had made the rigging groan
and we moved upon the sea
all night I stood on the deck of wood
till day brought clear sunlight
the bloody fog was gone for good
but something wasn't right
a whiff of smoke from an old clay pipe
like the one old Will did use
I turned and ducked and dodged the swipe
but the blade my arm did bruise
Old Will he says "You have to die
to break the curse you used"
His eye was dead but his grin was wry
and death walked in his shoes
he swung the axe as he lumbered forth
and it lodged in the mast close by
I punched him south west east and north
and over the side to die.
climb the ladder?

remembrance

The days of endless dreaming
Joyous afternoons
Endless laughter
Have come to an end
The day I took my last breath

A fragile bridge
Goes over the glistening water
Where animals of all sorts
Come and gather around
Dazzled by the view

That is were I unleash my dreams
The secrets no one knows
My most wanted desires
Unforgivable memories
My whole life is spread upon this bridge

I would spend countless nights
Imagining my fairy tale
Happily ever after that are to come
And princes’ to make me a princess
Having my perfect moments

The last of my time
I was dreaming at night
Looking at the water over the bridge
Closed my eyes to make a wish
Then I fell…

I sunk down to the bottom
Slowly and ever so carefully
Nobody was there to witness
To lend me a hand
As my feet touched the end

My air was shortening
Creating me only a memory
I saw the moonlight shining
Wanted so desperately to reach out and touch it
But I have taken my last breath

My memories that have filled the land
Secrets that only the clouds knew
Desires the water only heard
Flowing in the air
In remembrance of me

Deep Blue Under

The sound of the shore
It's everlasting
If you're silent,
Still

Waves crash over coral rocks
And reefs
Soon you hear fizzing water
Creeping up from behind your bare feet.
You move quickly,
But not quick enough.

The water rises as you try to escape
It's wrathful invitation.
Every step you take
The water quickens.

You yell for help,
But no one is there to hear you.
You yell once more,
But the crashing waves muffle your cries.
The deep blue water has taken you down
Into its vengeance world. . .

Where you can't breathe,
Can't see.
You're weak from the struggle of survival
So you just give up,
Without thinking of the ones who love you
As if they never exist.
With your last seconds of life,
You whisper "Goodbye."

The Fall of the Black Angels

This last few years
Had seen fighting so coarse
Having vowed never to fight
Viewing histories remorse

The black angels of angst
Went back on their word
The earth for themselves
It's what they preferred

No explanation
No discussions met
Their war on the innocents
In their mind was set

Attacks they launched
No one was spared
Children slaughtered
They did not care

Weeks and months
Passed like days
Earth to be lost
In their deathly plays

A time traveller
From the past was called
Semaj to the Galaxy
His past exploits recalled

He was the one
Who downed Racolyn
The Butterfly winged Elf
Never to be seen again

The Parliament of Federation
His presence requested
The read of his past
Again to be tested

In hangers were gathered
Angels in flocks
Like squadrons of light
Beside their space ships docked

Loaded on board
The water of life
In missile form
To rid the black strife

Orders given
The space ships depart
To save natures earth
Again to restart

Co-ordinates entered
Black angels located
The water of life
Divine of the created

All weapons are primed
Loaded to demise
Ignore the crying
For the blackened dying

Hours and days
As the white angels fought
With Semaj leading
In heraldic taught

Black angels retreating
Their fight fading to light
The last of them captured
Earths Parliament in delight

We thank Semaj
And Etto his droid
Another scar for this planet
In possible avoid

The war of the angels
Had come to an end
White versus black
In victorious mend

On this planet earth
In it's year 2338
White angels are predominant
Nature's soul mate

Blade

The silver blade slides over my wrist
The smooth metal slices my skin open
My crimson blood pours out
I hold my bleeding wrist over the sink
The blood drips onto the cool marble
There's a knock on the hollow door
An angry voice yells "get out of there"
I turn on the water and rinse out the sink
I watch the icy water mix with warm blood
The sweet blood disappears down the drain
I pull at my sleeves to cover my many scars
I open the door and go to my quiet room
I sit silently on my bed
I open my journal and begin to write
My thoughts rush onto the paper
The words i use hide my truth
They mask the real me from unknowing people around me
They keep my secrets safe from wandering eyes

Another Hole

Dusky dawn,
Out of sight.
Stifled words
You try to fight.

Whimpered pain
Escapes your lips.
As if your struck
By a whip.

Anger digs
Deeper down.
Beyond the core
Of the ground.

Lava hot
Deep within.
Hollow heart
Full of sin.

Rift of lightning
Across the sky.
Parched ground
No longer dry.

Pounding rain
Drifts on down.
Rolls of thunder
Starts to sound.

In your mind
You start to fall
Trickled down
Like water fall.

Falling deep
As water well.
Pent up feelings
That you dwell.

Bruises lay
Upon your heart.
Ripped wide open
Torn apart.

Sewed together
And wrapped with tape.
So the love
Cant' escape.

But love seeps in
And love leaks out.
Emotions scream
You want to shout.

Digging deeper
Into your grave
The outer walls
Begin to cave.

Hard to feel
Or even breathe
All this pressure
You want to leave.

Sadness falls
And crumbles down.
Smothered deep
into the ground.

And in this hole
Where you lie.
Your realize now
Is where you'll die.

'Cause in your heart
There is a craze.
To your pain
You are a slave.

And if a time
You'd never miss.
Just let go
Put down your fist.

Choose it wisely
Just be sure.
'Cause all it is
Is a lure.

A simple catch
To this game
A death wish
You can't restrain.

Anxiety and the Dog

Need another smoke and the worry for the health
Take a real long look in the mirror
The eyes are dead as is the face
Fall and call for help
The angel arrives on time
Hear the scratch of the dog
At the door which has been left open to fears
Dog stare the down demanding fruits
Frightened of the teeth so wish him away
Steal the food but take not the soul
Back through the door demands are thought
All for him is the soul
The one fruit held with a death grip
But anxiety burns the lining of the stomach
Offer the last piece and he eats from the hand
Now go away and only return when called
You stand so tall damn you pillar of salt
Which I may water down to find the solution
Drink the salty water in this glass
If this will able you to stand on your own two feet
Or choose to ride the dog

In The Eyes of The Beholder

Hard to breathe. Suffocating.
...Please.
The water envelopes my body,
Deceptively soft, velvety against my thrashing limbs,
Eyes glaze at the rims,
...You’re hurting me,
Attempting to fight, trying to flee. All in vain.
Your strength belittles mine own. Slaughtering the confidence
I would need to escape.
 “Shhh…sleep now.” Smooth cadence,
With hints of guttural malice…deceivingly seductive,
All thoughts and intentions purely destructive,
Falling.
Failing.
My lungs ache.
“Just breathe…”
There it was again. Misleading.
I want to listen. I need to trust him. Enthralled.
I’m afraid…I fear the fall…I’m falling.
My body gives, lungs inhale, the water invades my corpse,
His grip softens, I’m still conscious.
“Still mine.”
Rescued by death. I sense him still, falsely triumphant.
 I’m reaching.
He cradles my body, caressing deadened flesh,
Still warm with history, the remnants of life.
...I’m leaving you.
He understands. Fingers trace over bruised lips,
This was the only way. But it tears and rips
Savagely at his sanity.
...Just Breathe.
I console him. Ease the pain.
The truth damages.
I was already gone.

rUNNNING WATER

Running Water

Cold, lonely, fears
Heartache,pain,tears
Abuse, torment all of her years
Sick of the lies
sick of the guys
hurts so bad inside
Samestuff everynight
Men walk the earth with no souls
Night after night it takes it toll
Can you hear the running water
Flooding out her cries
Feels nothing when they caress her thighs
Smile on their faces all a facade
They just want her bod
Do they know my age or do they care
what do they fear
give it up or ya dying (running water)
why you sighing
goes to the building
the place where it all started
She lost her virginity
By some Pimp some scumbag
Her own father(running water
Runs a tub of running water
 running water
She closes the door ofthe abandonded building
Think about your children
My son is my brother
A sister mommy
Pills and razor blades
Drop to the floor
Convulsions
Twisting and turning as she drops to the floor
Even the devil hell'll see this and feel remorse for
Torn apart
By men with out a heart
Pray to her maker
To make it end
Molested at 10
God haven't heard from him since
Make it all go away
No more pain, no more monsters
No more tears, no more more ruthless
virginity-taken by some pimp, some scumbag
Her own father
Runs to the basement floor
A life even the Devil'll shed a tear for
On the floor-Here's the scence
Walls are lime green
Smells like crap
Straight out of a horror scence
A home not even suiutable to fiends
There a sink and a tub
Pills and razor blades
Ah Takes out the painkillers
Here eyes fill with so many tears
Been tring to escape for years
Fills the tub with running water
Tears flow(Running Water)
Silence-pain comes back
Yeah, yeah back back.. to reality
Wish I was god so I could get a gun & watch em all defy gravity
Gets in a tub of running water
Puts her head down
Let it flow
Better than a pill
Aint no ecstasy
Let em' get the best of me
Nothing is sound
Silence-
Death is my escape
Through the flow of running water

never coming up

A man walks down the road
a wanderer with no goal
on his heart a heavy load
That will soon take a toll

As he walks in solitude
his eyes drift from reality
a place without grattitude
the darker side of fantasy

Life lost to him it's purpose
He had nothing left to lose
He was giving into us
He was going to forever snooze

In the darkness he was lost
bumping into all fear and hate
his soul colder than winter's frost
In his heart lay a closed gate

He came upon a bridge
looked at the water below
and quietly walked to the edge
into the water he would go

One last look at life
his knees then bent
"I'm coming dear wife"
then down he went.

never coming up.

Liquid Gold

The tub was quickly filling just like everyday before.
Today, something was different and it burned within my core.

As I was gently lounging, just letting the tub fill
I realized the irony and what a bitter pill.

This water that I'm watching could easily save a life.
This could make the difference for a man, his kids and wife.

I quickly stopped the water out of reflex more than need.
I felt almost ashamed of myself for nurturing my greed.

How can I lie here lounging, just wasting 'liquid gold'
while just a drink would save them, the young as well as old?

Waves of Worry

Walking by the edge of the ocean
I think of all the times you let me down
Deceived me
Lied to me
Hurt me
Abused me
I drag my feet in the sand
Let the water wash the troubles from my feet
Pick up a seashell
Turn it in my hands
Think of my life
My life as the shell
Wrinkled and withered
Abandoned by others
Abandoned by myself
Left for the emptiness
And the grievance of others
The shell chipping away
Like my life has chipped away
Piece falling here
Falling there
Falling all to pieces
A steady tear rolls down my cheek
I began to throw the shell in the ocean
Just like I wish to throw myself
I begin wading in the shallow water
Going deeper and deeper into the ocean
The waves are rolling over my torso
The saltiness is burning my skin
Just like the put downs have burnt my heart and spirit
I walk further out
Until I cant walk any more
I hold the shell
My life
Close to my heart
Clutch with my hands, heart, and soul
Steadily begin to sink to the bottom
Still clutching my shell
I open my eyes under water
The fish are translucent
The water is fluorescent
I let the waves wash over me
I sink into the dark unknowing
The last I see is the red translucent fish with big teeth swimming hurriedly at me

The dreams that God has

What does god dream of when his head hits his hand
Is it of St.Lucifer being banned from his land
Is it of Adam and Eve defying the grand
Or is of Earth and the popular demand

God only knows what has come of his mind
As he does relax it covers the blinds
When humans touch his soul the tears they do climb
As the end is drawing near His passion reclines

The creations he made turn out to have sin
For no one he made is as perfect as him
For this he is alone for ever time nearing grim
As the light around his halo is draining to dim

The dreams more like nightmares as time goes on
The tears now flowing as evil gains spawn
Uncontrollable is he from the ancients of dawn
For now is the time his dreams are not born

As the water from his eyes are cast with doubt
The water cannot fill his creations sure drought
The pain he does feel is no longer to mount
For he has no focus as he has lost his count

As his eyes do open from the passion of dreams
Realization sets in as Lucifer does scream
One more time will he try to relinquish the stream
Of tears he did cast that will ever stop the bleed

Natures Soldier

Formation of water appearing on his head

Lying lifeless the beads of cold run down to his heart

Beatless it waits for any sign of life

Like a rose, his body insists for the morning sun

His soul left him not 2 hours ago

Cut down short by a dagger in his chest

The lonely water propells into his wound

Cleansing it of remorse and guilt

Too later, he cannot feel the healing power of nature

As dawn breaks and the sun beams into his bones

Drying his darkness and relieving his dead mind

The day has cleansed this lost being

Mother nature has kissed his body with her tears

Warmth of the sun has eliminated his evil ways

For now he is part of our world....her world

Decomposing for others to feed off

Good or bad everyone needs to pass

Soon time will get you, and when it does

Will the sun heal your wounds

Or will the water cleanse your soul

Or will it be too late......

Hope

I stood beneath the waterfall,
my tears mingling with the
water as it cascaded down.

My lips were blue, my fingers
numb and purple, shaking
with the cold within me.
The trees that were once
lush and green, were gray to me now.

My clothes clung to my body
as sobs wracked my frame.

It wasn’t true, you weren't gone.
Any minute now, you'd come and meet me.

Your green eyes sparkling with love,
fun, and mischief.

You'd join me under the water,
wrap your arms around me
and I'd be warm again.

You'd kiss my problems away
and everything would be alright.

I stared at the spot where
you would normally emerge
expecting the brush to part
and your loving face to appear.

I dont know how long I stood there waiting.
I felt the cold of the water
pierce my skin
tinging it purple and blue.

My teeth began to chatter
as me eyelids drooped,
and I took a shaky step forward
to try and balance myself.

As my eyes closed,
I felt my body tip forward
and fall as I lost began
to lose consciousness.

Then you were there.

You smiled and told me
everything would be fine,
that you were there for me.

I knew you werent gone.

I smiled and told you I loved you
As I felt the cold water slap
my skin as I hit the water below.

Red Water

Coursing, pulsing, breaking through
Red water fills her veins anew

A liquid life to guarantee
That she is as human as he

She draws the blade across the skin
Digging deep to sink it in

Her gesture brings a sudden flood
Red water, life, her very blood

Pooling dark upon the floor
Her foot holds still the swinging door

He enters slow and cries in vain
Red water spilled like pooling rain

Walking On Water

Walking On Water
Justified by Jesus sacrifice.
Jesus shed blood , one ddropp for me ,
cleaned all the things that I have done ,
my past is gone , I am set free.
Death it self will NOT hold me.
My works are not the price I pay.
My Lord has a robe for me ,
washed whiter than the snow.
No gloved fist can send me there ,
but I will fly on ^A^ngel wings ,
to Heaven when I go.
The ground beneath my feet feels like a lake
of water turning solid as I walk toward my
Saint Peter from the center of my storm.
Learning to breathe the air again
and live in Jesus love.
I walk on water.

The Clemente Bridge

Standing there.
Standing.
This is so-called the 'Clemente'.
Named after one of those players.
A player of the game.
I can see everything from here.
The whole city.
In all of its glow and smog.
I look up and see the great MT,
I could never imagine a better view.
I run my hands down this padded silver coat.
It's not even keeping me warm in this cool fall day.
I look down.
Staring.
Hard.
At that river below me.
It seems so welcoming,
So inviting if you will.
I step to the edge of the yellow.
And leap,
I fall.
Fall.
Falling pink-booted first,
And for seconds I feel so very free.
I've never been so free in my life.
I hit the water with a smack and go under.
I'm not drowning.
I'm coasting the current.
I can feel the freezing water piercing through my jacket.
It feels as if a million knives are piercing my heart.
In every direction.
But I feel free.
Freer than ever.
I am me.
I am free.
And then I awake.

Losing A Man and Child

I stepped into the shower today
But before I could turn the water on
My tears had filled the bathtub
For the baby that is long gone

For many years I've looked at children
Trying simply to forget
My one true love
Wasn't ready yet

I have had no one to talk to
No one would understand
Except for the man who took me
To send our child to the Promise Land.

Who will hold me when I cry
Not calling me names
An ocean is waiting inside of me
But for now it only rains

So, for the man who took me
If you see water drops
It's only me trying to talk to you
Until the pain stops
