This Song is for my Mother

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
I couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
A song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created and cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Memory of a mother
Shared my dreams and really cared

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Mama…
I know I wasn’t there……

For you

Would have placed
A magic carpet
‘neath your weak and shaky legs

Would have raised
A strong west wind
Let you breathe with ease again

Would have bribed
God’s venal angels
Come and soothe your endless pain

Would have vanquished
All the demons
And bring peace to you again

Be the child
I never knew
In a land
We won’t grow old

Be the light
I always loved
Warmed my dark
And lonely soul

Be the girl
Playing games
In a world
The sun won’t set

Be the laughter
Calms my heart
I never will forget
I won’t forget, won’t forget

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
Couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
Song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created….cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

I broke my promises, oh mama
Now you’ve gone away
I’m broken
Drowning in the pain each day

I’m drowning…drowning...drowning…drowning

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me…….

the day you flew to Heaven

We knew , it was if a moment stopped in time
hearing the news before most of the World did
He loved to fly his plane from Colorado to Monterey Bay
He was a avid golfer at Pebble Beach respected

He had loves and passions from many places
deciding to fly low through the overcast red sunset
Not only did he love music and inspire all
He loved his Plane , he will always remain a beautiful Soul

The next day it was confirmed ..all saddened
It was John Denver's plane that went down
Today in Pacific Grove stands the Memorial
So Kiss me and smile for me we will ~
              always in loving memory
OH babe , do we hate you go ~

Dying Eyes

I have lost the will to change
Taking the path that leads to nowhere
The darkness is taking over
something i cannot repair
If it is to be broken
Drowning in the sorrow
I cannot give in
Take the fall and run to the heavens
Im never going to bow
Im never going to break
I will not fall
I will not fade
I was made to take your breathe away
Whenever my hope is lost
Thats my chance to run for cover
Light the fuse and burn it up
I dont want to change the world
I just want to make it colder
Watching the end
With our dying eyes
Tell me where forever lies

Rites Of Passage

lllllllllllllllllllll I haste not I fear not in harmonious cries, I plead where flight has called this mighty warrior red paint upon my cheek O cleansing smoke of wild grass high of resin and sacred bead a vision has taken this warrior's cry anon, to capture a dream I crawl through gates to reach the ledge where spirit and smoke arise and pluck the painted Northern Flora and gaze through Savanna's eyes ^^^^^^^

Odin's Army

I fell in battle, sword in hand,
Invading someone else’s land.
Then I saw her, and she reached down,
To escort me from the battleground.
I’d let her take me anywhere,
With her winged helmet and braided hair.

She had me stand ‘neath Odin’s throne,
Where each warrior must stand alone.
One-eyed Odin judged me to be
Worthy to serve in his last army….
Daily killed and resurrected--
(Not quite the afterlife expected!)

Samurais taught me to sword-fight.
I learned spear and shield from a Hoplite.
Vikings taught me the battle axe,
And the Persians taught me sneak attacks.
We die each day and then come back,
Always practicing for Ragnorak.

She brings me mead, my Valkyrie,
And sometimes at night she favors me.
Since she’s nearby, it’s just as well--
This isn’t Heaven, but not quite Hell.
We’ll fight and sing to the war drums,
Waiting the day that Ragnorak comes.

(Chorus)
Our days are spent in miseries,
But at night we have the Valkyries.
Riposte and lunge, thrust and parry;
That’s all we do in Odin’s army.

With Angels Waltz

"I have a dream, a song to sing"
About an earth seen from up in space
Like an Agate marble swirling green
How much longer will that be the case
When the broad picture viewed be defaced

"I have a dream, a song to sing"
About an earth that now has many faults
People here are fighting death to brothers bring
When our leaders to us say what is false
But I believe in angels with them I waltz

"I have a dream, a song to sing"
When I cross that river stream
On my way over I'll turn and see
An earth that has healed been redeemed
As I cross that stream_into my everlasting dream

Hovering

How many have ever heard the song "Somewhere in Time?"
It's a song with only music and with no words or rhyme.
"Fantasie Impromtu" is another one written by Chopin?
Also a song of rare beauty without words thrown in.
These two songs along with "Moonlight Sonata" were played by my son.
He's an acomplished pianist who can play most any run.
He played these songs at my funeral last week.
Don't be shocked all you people keep on sitting in your seat.
You Poetry Soup poets who are sitting there reading this write.
Yes you! Don't turn around and look behind you or look to the right!
Do you feel that erie feeling in your tummy right now?
Well! It's because of me! I'm hovering over you somehow!
No don't look! You won't see me.
My spirit is floating above your right shoulder freely.
I'm watching you read your poems. Did you get some good comments today?
Yes I saw where you wrote that beautiful verse, and that nice display!
You deserve that nice comment. How about your soupmail? Are there very many?
Did someone tell you a secret? Remember! I won't tell and I know a plenty!
I've been watching you on Poetry Soup for hours writing your poems that rhyme.
You're writing about love and mysteries, about cat tails, building spaceships and rhyme
        time!
You're writing of happy new year, time warps, romantic longings and betrayals and how do
        you do it,
One of you says your poems are like children to you, one writes of beautiful women
        with wit
And one of you even wrote of hanging berries! And all of these wonderful poems I've read.
I have hovered over many of you and you never even knew I was dead,
Such wonderful talented writers we have on Poetry Soup.
Everyone writes his own style that belongs to this group.
So take heed when you sit down to write a new rhyme.
And know that someone's watching you write all this time.
And when you feel that erie feeling in your tummy right now.
Well! It's because of me! I'm hovering over you somehow!

Ding Dong The Wicked Witch is Dead

Globally, miners jubilantly jump for joy
Smiles on the faces of every girl and boy
The grins of a newly opened Xmas toy
Thatcher’s dead.

Trade unionists bounce along the street
Music blaring and the tapping of feet
From nurses to Bobbies still on the beat
Thatcher’s dead.

Street parties announced in the nation
Satan who brought economic inflation
Is deceased, now’s the time for elation
Thatcher’s dead.

Its times like this I’m sad I’m an atheist
And can only shout and wave my fist
And then go to the pub and get pissed
Thatcher’s dead.

Passing

To see her blog, adorned with pastel tones
Widens the gap that pervades my bones
For now we eat her passing meal of plain white rice
Leaving us all alone, without much needed fashion advice

The red light district has lost an inductee
For I would have love to be involved in her naked party
Yet for now we must all be content
With the debauched path she hath went.

Sadness invades a binary world
Where tweeters and bloggers hearts have curled
Bringing back memories of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’
Her fashion advice precise like a mastoplexic surgeon

I remember the fervour when you were followed by Kath Kidston
A similar experience when I had my first Jar of Branston
Yet when you found out the intensity with which I was following you
You wanted to change species and become a Gnu

You learnt to accept my frequent outpourings of love
When you finally spoke to me, I felt as free as a pure white dove
But upon your departure I feel pathetic and hollowed
The best I can hope for is the number of one of the hot bloggers you followed

She was always my muse, my intimate inspiration
No-one can cause such an outpouring of personal perspiration
My heart now yearns to see her type a special tweet
One that would make Mr Sexton act like a dog on heat

Now the world mourns the passing of Lily Fulvio-Mason
I can still see her face reflected in my wash basin
With every heart beat, every full blooded pulse
My sadness streaked blood makes my body convulse

But now it’s time to go, my heart says goodbye
The pain eats my nipples like the Syrphid Fly
I can finally see your body laid in an eternal rest
And now I can now finally uncover your breast.

The Mighty Kern (The end of many dreams)

You’re not real deep as rivers go
You’re really not that wide
When it comes to my feelings of you
They’re feelings I just can’t hide

Through giant boulders you descend
Winding through canyon walls
Inside you many have met their end
As rapidly as your water falls

Merle Haggard wrote a song of you
You took someone he loved
His song is very beautiful and true
A gift from God above

At four I stood upon your banks
Watched my mother die
Like those before and after her
So many left to cry

Your pools are pools of death
Calm and still they seem
Whirlpools lurking underneath
The end of many dreams

The Way It Was

The song starts to play and I start to cry
How can so much hurt come from a song like that?
Once upon a time it used to bring me happiness and laughs
Now all it brings me is sorrow
You were my world and the song was ours
Now you're gone leaving me with nothing but a broken heart
It isn't easy to forget about everything
That song meant so much to me and now it's all been taken away
I had a dream that the song was going to bring us together again
But now, I don't want to listen to the song anymore
The song is a constant reminder of our tragedy and it will always hurt
I've tried to forget but nothing seems to work
I'll listen to that song a million times more
Until the day we are reunited, together forever

Special

To capture the attention everyone else gets but you
You do whatever you can to get it
Even if its bad
You continue to do it
To get the attention you never had
And the attention you will never get
You want the perfect body and soul that everyone else has
You want to feel important... special
So you seek for a better
Much higher thing
What you need
You dont quite know
But you decide that
You will do whatever it takes to make you happy
And sometimes
That means..
suicide
Sometimes it means
Shooting someone
Because the hole inside your heart needs filled
And thats the only thing you ever had
The only thing you see
The only thing that someone gave to you
The thing that got everyone talking about you
The thing that got everyone to even look at you
So if you decide to kill someone
You kill yourself afterwards
Because you felt lonely again
You felt that no one was watching you
That no one even cared
Then you think about all the things that
Bugged you
And you pull the trigger
Then theres no more you
Next time someone sees you
You will be on the news
Where now you are special
And important

A New Day

I might sparkle in the night but I'm not the only star you might not see them in the sky it depends on where you are Am I the only light in your eyes that makes you smile when you cry if your favorite's what you say don't you blink it might fade away Only when we give everything we're truly ready for better things we invite ourselves off to drift the steam rises and our spirits lift Follow me, into sun sets be brave and strong with no regrets and when the sea takes the light we'll find a new day after the night there's still a new day after the night

Black and White

You’ve maddened me to the core
You singed me with your ferocious fire
We’re opposites… we’ll never integrate
We can’t blend with each other…
Your love and I’m hate
We’re contrary to each other…

So don’t even think about
Getting us back together
Because without a doubt,
We don’t click with each other…

So let us go our own way…

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be deleted from my mind…

I’m not the one that should pay the price
You act as if you’re an angel from heaven
But, you’re a fiend…a devil from hell...who needs your advice?
Could someone unchain me from this prison?

So let us prepare for that day…

Fear and bewilderment build inside of our minds
Taking over us…we’re wasting valuable time
Terror and wrath injects into our veins…time starts to unwind
I’m regaining my glory…this moment feels so sublime

You think you’re innocent?
I can sense your guilt…bleeding through you
Do you live to feed me anguish?
Don’t deny it…you crafty demon…no wonder I feel blue

Let’s get ready for battle…
I’ll watch you decay…
IT’S PAY BACK TIME . . .
Taste my fury and my agony

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be defeated…

I scream before nightfall
I close my eyes to kiss my demise
I want to disappear
Scratch away my desolation
Wipe away my tears…
Spewing out of my eyes…like a waterfall
Tonight, there will be dismay
There will be suffering
After sundown…
Failure and glory will expose like stars in the midnight sky
Who will earn the crown?
No one knows in silent wars – who can reveal the light in goodbye

Why are we black and white?
Are you too afraid to know the reason why?

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to suffer alone…

My First Grief

In my cradle,
My tiny body was cradled
In my mothers arms.
My gem among gems,
I remember when I cried
You comforted me with
your soothing words.
Your re-assuring hands
Secured me till Death's
Cold hands snatched you
From me,a sucker I was
That needed you most.
Adieu! Sweet mum till
We cross paths again!

Swan song

The passionate young man on his way to his love
Walked by a lake carrying a snow-white dove
Inside his shirt he held it close to his heart
When he heard a song - an enchanting work of art

The melody was captivating, full of sorrow -
The cries of a soul for whom there’s no tomorrow
An unknown fear gripped the young man’s heart
Dark crevasses of life to him were an unknown part

So full of life and hope, inevitability he never had to face
The source of the irresistible sound he wished to trace
He looked behind the dense brushes hiding the water
On seeing a wondrous swan his agitated mind grew calmer

He stood there mesmerized, the scene not comprehending
And a chill he felt from the bottom of his spine ascending
Why does something as beautiful as this must end?
Against a dark premonition himself he could not defend

The song told him everything that was, and ever will be
As he stood there listening, in his mind’s eye he could see
The birth of dreams and hopes, the path and the finish,
The igniting spark, the flame and the death of every wish

The swan sang his last and was swallowed by the lake
Slowly the young man from his vision did wake
He felt the dove in his shirt frantically flutter
He gently held it high and let it go, not a word did he utter

Innocence cannot build his nest in a bosom laden
And burdened with knowledge so dark and craven
The young man continued his journey to meet his darling
A long shadow followed him in his footsteps crawling

Across the lake on yonder side, hidden by the morning fog
An old man, frail and haggard, sat quietly on a bone-white log
He heard the swan too, and watched it get swallowed by the deep
But at this lonely funeral his half closed eyes did not weep

He felt it in his bones, and knew the end was near
So the swan song filled his feeble mind with fear
Since he was a young man he searched for the answer
The question being: What comes when to death we do surrender?

He looked to the sky but in vain, he begged but to no avail
The heavens did not open; his body and spirit were broken
When with the last notes of the swan song resounding
Asking for a sign, he saw a dove above the clouds climbing

On his crooked legs he stood as straight as he could
Raising his hands he pleaded, “Take me, if you would”
The solemn swan song became a victorious celebration,
A joyous symphony of the never ending glory of creation

The frail old body fell back onto the bone-white log
Never again to emerge from that otherworldly fog
But a peaceful smile on the old man’s face remained
Having his long-lost innocence of youth finally regained

Forever Changed

June 18, 2013 our world was Forever Changed
We where over halfway home
When we got the call from our baby sister

Said we need to get back home
We need to come as fast as we can drive
Mom really needs us
Something’s wrong with Daddy
The whole way we drove 80
Hoping & Praying we’d make it in time

Our Family & Friends were weeping
By the time we got to his side
We knew our Daddy had been taking
And our hearts they were breaking
We never got to say Goodbye
We each softly kissed that man
We four sisters climbed in his bed
We laid down beside him
And cried just like babies
For our world was Forever Changed

A Twist in Time

As I stand here in front of my closet , starring in to the space...
I wonder which black dress to choose, and how I am going to face..
All the guests that will be there , at your final resting place...
I look in the mirror and what do I see ?
But cuts and scratches all over me...
Although I don’t feel any physical pain...
Oh, what’s that I hear ?..could it be rain ?
I miss you already...what went wrong ?..
We were driving along just listening to our favorite song...
I remember the curve on that old mountain road...
And then heard the train crash... and then explode...
Time to go called out my Mother...
It was a cold November morning, and very heavy rain...
And I swear I heard the whistle of a train...
As I looked around I could see...
So many friends and family...
Standing in the crowd was Aunt Sarah and Uncle Fred...
OMG ! I thought they were dead...
And there’s dear old Michael...
I had heard he crashed his motorcycle...
All of a sudden I saw YOU stand...
With a bright red rose, you held in your hand...
What are you doing I wanted to shout...
But then I realized what you were about...
You dropped the rose upon MY grave...
It was then I realized You were the one that was saved...

Somewhere over the rainbow

I had heard this song by an obscure artist, with a twist as it played verses
of 'Somewhere over the rainbow, with 'What a wonderful' world entwined.
It's simply melody strummed on a ukalele mesmerized me as I listened on the radio
in the car.
I remember saying to my wife, "I want this at my funeral." I was morbidly honest
that way.
Several years later, I was watching an episode of E.R. in which our favorite
character, Dr. Green discovers he has brain cancer, and a short time to live. He's
basically given the advice we all wish to avoid. "You don't have long, retire, enjoy
the time you have left."
Dr Green, plans a vacation with his daughter, who's relationship has been strained
since his divorce. For the next three or four episodes Dr. Green and his daughter
spend his last days surfing in Hawaii. Mending the relationship slowly, to a degree
of understanding only a father and daughter could know. He's still Dad, and she's a
teen working on letting go of her resentments.
In the last episode of the story, he's not doing well. He keeps passing out and his
strength is waning. He knows it's only a matter of days, possibly hours; but doesn't
share this with his daughter, the scenary is of a bungalo on the beach, white sands
surround the openness of the primitive bungalo, palm trees speckle the beach, and
in the distance lies the royal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
A day of surfing is suddenly changed as he suggests that his daughter go ahead of
him, he'll stay back and watch until his strength returns. So he sits in a hammock,
and watches out in the water as she strolls off to surf, Background music grows to
this song I'd so loved, by and artist named Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo?ole and as the
music is playing softly, the camera pans in on the face of Dr. Green for his death
scene, and his last breath. The camera pulls back, from the back of his head, above
the bungalo, above the beach as if we are Dr Green's soul departing this earth.
Yes, I cried like a little school girl as realized that my favorite character had just
been erased from our show, with no chance to come back for a Cameo... What!? of
course that's why I cried! OKAY! it was a tear jerker! and the saddest part, was the
relationship with his daughter was still in repair . Moral of the story i guess-- You
never know when its your time, so don't hold on to petty resentments, and love
every minute of life.

I later learned, Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo?ole; had also died

Tomorrow is our last

Tomorrow is our last,
  To be free;
So let us make it last,
  You and me
Yesterday’s deeds are done
  Let us go
We gave our bravest son
  Let him go
I wish upon this star
  Every night
To meet my avatar
  Golden light
She lifts my gaze skyward
  Bound to rest;
Bitter tears fell downward
   She carress’d
Lest you hear not, my dear
  (Hold your breath)
Chance’s song plays on fear
  (Long live death)
Years end is clearly near
  -yours to bless
Only the young die here
  -what a mess
So this is how it ends?
  Just tonight!
Without love’s amends?
  Don’t take flight!
Pardon that I bother
 (But you think
Talking of your father
  There’s the link)
When all said and done
 (Here he goes)
We do not have to run
  (He who knows)
Apples fall near their tree;
  Hold me tight!
Tender love makes me free
  Get it right!
Shake it off, life makes dust
  Say again?
That’s right mister it must
  Play again
Is that how living works?
  You might say
Behind dream’s nothing lurks?
  You can pray
Listen close little man:
  Here is how
Life’s history began
 Tell me now
East of eden were wo-
 Men calling
To lead away the wo-
 Men’s falling
With serpent’s tooth at bay
   Arms akimbo
The poison had no sway
   God’s limbo
There are no bones to pick
  Understand?
Nor wounds or sores to lick
  Take my hand
Look, it’s a bit like this:
   End the strife
Give each your warmest kiss
  Long live life

Untitled-Free Thoughts-Rap

Oh well here I go again,
wishin for a dream that I could be wrapped in,
entrapped in,
torn away from addiction,
destroy the tele…
vision they strive to force upon you,
its all false but you know I’m true.
They will not protect you when you scream your broken cries,
they are merely evil faces of masked men behind illuminati eyes
with which they hypnotize,
brainwash you with their lies.
I've got those deep thoughts pouring in,
all the roads I've traveled down
conditions I have traveled in
here in my pretty town,
the 910 deserves a crown.
East Coast I'm representing,
I promise you I am not venting.
High on that purple haze,
And still haven't slept for days,
excuse these bloodshot eyes
with a krispy kreme glaze,
some will try to say its just a silly phase...
My mind is so graphic,
use words like special tactics,
unmistakable like D'Jango,
or a peace signs' angle,
destroy the crave for war and struggle,
no need to explain all the trouble,
with places burstin’ into rubble,
Rebel! Rebel! We’ll show ‘em hell!
I’ll be fightin’ when I'm dead,
kick and scream till my blood is shed,
let authorities know the message will be spread!
Put on a show with a little bit of passion
or the bad things will continue to happen.
Get the love through your head,
all this hatred should be dead,
what I'm saying must be said,
before the gauge goes into red.
With vocabulary this brilliant makes a female more vigilant,
like brothers boston what I speak
my words alone will make you weak, make you faint,
Like blood spilled by hands of a vigilante saint,
trust me lifes too short,
you dont have the time my young cohort,
wait until your words make an enemy
cause their threatened by the uncertainty
that you will make it this far
make a point unlike this war
next thing you know you see ‘em sweat
words fresh like paint drippin with purpose,
makin ‘em wet.
I finger paint a master piece with a just simple rhyme,
just don't pull your piece on me just let me speak, my mind,
while I unwind, rewind all this blasphemy,
continential catastrophe,
I may have to beg and plead so that my boys can rest in peace
sorry for the interruption,
don’t blame me for the corruption,
for now I'll put my words at ease,
hope you told someone you loved them today and that it wasn't a white lie,
just a tease.

Changed

If i were to tell you that my heart is gray
What would you do to make it red again?
If i were to say that i dont miss you
Would you understand my pain?
If i were to show you how much you mean
Would you notice that my heart stopped beating?
If i were to picture things in my mind to be perfect
What would you do to tell me things wont ever be the same?
If you were to tell me your heart was gray
I would give you mine in place of yours
If you were to say that you dont miss me
I would understand your pain
If you were to show me how much i mean
I would notice that your heart stopped beating
If you were to picture things in your mind to be perfect
I Would tell you that they are, your just ignoring it
I would tell you how big of a part you are in my life
I would say to you that you are my hero
I would show you my scars and heal your wounds
I would picture us in a place that does not harm love
If you could see the hole in my heart
Would you bother to fix it
Or would you let it fall apart?

The Damned

Her devilish eyes beat at me
taking flesh with every blow,her
rendered heart beat sounds like
tribal drum rolls an her skin
drips venom from its pores , I
find myself helpless and
paralyzed , everything else
seems trivial and meaningless
to this moment,..she exhales
smoke and lightning flows from
her finger tips ,she is the
antichrist the source of my
device, but I can't help but give
her my heart,I question my gift
but remain entranced caught in
her red moonlit ritual
dance, sight of her is blinding ,
she is what Every man desires
but can't reach, it feels like
heaven but I sweat from the
heat,the pain she inflicts is
bitter sweet an burns like salt
in a wound ,she is gods most
regretted creation born for the
night with a hunger that cannot
be fed, hold her down chain her
up she cannot be contained ,
pentagrams burn white in her
eyes,she's a shape shifting
voodoo angel that sleeps with
vipers ,yet I seek her and
desire her with every thread of
my existence and have turned
into an insomniac who day
dreams of her , cut by the
thorns of the rose she wears in
her hair , always the day of the
dead and raining razorblades,
the tree limbs reach out for my
embrace but every one of them
are shadowed with her face,I
close my eyes I can always find
her there , lay with her in the
ground every breath she takes
is sin ,she's a black rosé that
cannot be changed a black rosé
that cannot be contained ,
ashes to ashes dust to dust I
cut my heart to be with her and
bleed undying trust,it's only
her....everything else I feel is
not real .....

Death by Beauty

A smile moves across her lips
She gazes at her crime
A scar across her flesh and soul
To haunt her for all time
She’ll waste away for all she cares
Never stops to use her brain
Doesn’t care about the ones who are close
All she cares about is pain

She wants to be what the others expect of her
Doesn’t care about the self-respect for her
A rose can’t be a forget-me-not
Can’t she see what all she has got
Already?

Never to go back again
She feels the world is at an end
She will never show her grief
Although she’ll cry in empty streetS

She’d sooner live like a desolate mole
Living in fear in an empty hole
Screaming silent wails alone
Content to live in her mental home

A final tear falls from her eye
It hits the ground, it’s followed by
A beautiful body, mutated by hate
A kind word could have stopped it, but it is too late
One two many bricks in the wall in her mind
Molding her demise because her heart was blind
This self conscious being could never have won
For she was destroyed by the beautiful ones

She wouldn’t fight back, wouldn’t respect herself
In the end, she managed only to wreck herself
A rose can’t be a forget-me-not
Little did she know, she had all she had sought
Already

Im Sorry

I hope you remember all of the bad things you have done so far
I hope you still have the chance to fix them
Im sorry it took me forever to write this letter to you
Ive been meaning to save you from what your about to become
For some reason i cant get a grip on it
I dont know what i want to say
I dont know how to help you
Im about to tell you about some of the things you are about to do
Right now your 16
Right now you are sitting on your bed listening to music
Reading a book on your favorite band
Smoking that cigarette
That will soon get you into all the other things that causes more problems for you
Try to avoid the guy you are about to let into your life
Remember that your not allowed to talk to strangers
Remember your mom told you that when you were 7
Its about time you listen to her
You will meet a girl
And you will end up hurting her
Dont take her to that club
Where your band is about to play
Your not good at singing
And your bass playing still needs some work
Dont embarass yourself
It lowers your self esteem
And you will try to committ suicide
Multiple times
But dont worry
It doesnt work
So stop trying to
Kill yourself
Remember the night when you ran away
And went to go live with your aunt
Yea...
Shes about to kick you out
Look under your bed
You will find 500 dollars
You put it there when you were young
You forgot
Thats why im writing you
Remember it
Take it and use it wisely
Dont use it on the drugs
Dont use it on the beer
Use it towards a better future
So then i dont have to write this letter again.

Along The Way

I say goodbye
To this chapter in my life
Im sure you will get the answers
When im gone
So when the day comes
The sun will not touch my face
Theres mistakes
The path is long
Look at my face
The stories it could tell
The ones that wont erase
Tell the ones that cared enough
That i finally left this place
So play the song
Its something to remind you
When im gone

Butterfly

Her nature was gentle, and as soft as the rain
A butterfly so fragile, with procelin skin
Fragrant blossom, nectar sweet
Bathed in humbled innocence...
Entrapment came regaled in white
With western charms, this wasp would sting
He picked this budding branch with false intent
His kisses spent, upon her dainty cheeks
So into bliss she flew, caught by wily arms
and promises of love, with no intent to keep
With fickle breath he stole her heart
And played the part without a thought, without a care
He was an actor upon this stage....the cage
a nuptial made as thin as air

He said farewell, with lies and smiles
To sail awhile, across the rolling seas
Leaving needles in her heart
Her frail wings pierced upon the day
And when those falsehoods sailed, her love impaled
While far away, he spent his charms in other arms

Her face would stare upon the tides
Her eyes would cry soliloquies
Her song would yearn...would he return?
Her trust swept into waves...
And then a year or more would pass,
The child she bore, stood by her side...
And still love lasts, and while she waits, the ocean breeze
would carry on, those restless seas, the haunting song ....
Would carry on and on....she calls.........she calls his name...

With futile hopes to ease her pain
Her shame to learn the truth, and then to finally learn
Another shore......another bride!!
Another shore......another bed......to learn such truth...the final dread!
She cannot lift her head...the loss....the pain.....! OH! Hide thy face!
Oh! Such disgrace...an honor black with shame
What cannot be erased.......too much is dead!

Her death will free the fragile wings
Upon her knees, the final bend
By her own hand......her father's knife
Will take the life of Butterfly. BUTTERFLY!! Butterfly! ....butterfly!....

Here Is Gone

Ever thought of something so much
That when you wake up it just automatically
Crawls into your brain cells
Shoots them with laser beams
Until they explode
And that’s the only thing you have left to think of
Because everything else is fried
Ever wish you could go back and change that night
Wish that you wouldn’t have left her side
That you would have just listened to your heart
Instead of your gut
Instead of that little voice that echoes
In the back of your head
Ever wished that you wouldn’t be reading this poem
That everything could be like your dreams
Like a family who gets along
Like having a famous relative
Dreaming that you had a better life
More money to spend
More bass guitars to buy
Less drama
Then you find this special someone
Who you can really relate to
And you never want to let them go
But somehow they slip through your fingers
Then your life crumbles
Falling down like the rain in a thunderstorm
Wishing you could change everything
But you just start over
And try to move on
And somehow end up at the beginning all over again

Cancer

I can't believe I haven't posted this one. I wrote it last year, can't remember the exact date. Anyhow it's a song. ---------------- You know this world is cancer Without these prayers being answered It's been too long a ponder We wonder We wander Far from here Lost in fear Can you see them fall? You lose one you lose them all She's seen the cruel hearts of stone She's seen the cancer we've become So lost in worry we just fall down Underground we burn Till the last one's sure Can you see me fall? You lose one you lose them all Cut me out of this body! Cut me out of everybody! Grind me into little pieces! Tell them that I'm the reason- You know this world is cancer Without these prayers being answered It's been too long a ponder We wonder We wander Far from here Lost in fear Can you see me fall? You lose one you lose them all You lose one you lose. . . Them all

Last Sonnet

Hither I stand, at crossroads,
And then I gaze, at the yonder end-
The vague horizon from where I began;
And all that I may ever deem
Is that- my days
Have been a waken dream.

Hither I stand, at the edge of my dream;
Then I wonder, at the depth of my trance-
An adventurous journey through the wondrous woods;
An idyllic stroll through the vicissitudinous meadow;
And from the final station as I depart,
All that I can ever say, is that
Perpetuation has been a rouge
Of fleeting phases of my life.

IF EXISTENCE IS AN ILLUSION OF REALITY

Like trees extending and rising,
there's a sameness in our being...
to grow under a nurturing sun
'till we reach our end and begone!

If existence is an illusion of reality,
less thought is given to mortality;
and engaging in song and dance,
who expects fate to pull a prank?

As clouds appear to cover cerulean spaces,
rain is anticipated: our first reaction is fret,
and by freezing smiles, we expect the worst;
why be afraid of something that amazes?

There's no cessation to relentless fear,
and so denial persists to block senses;
what's the true purpose of being here:
to exult ourselves and our ambiance?

Meet Me At The Gates

Standing across from damien
whom had been his lover for yea
He takes his heart out of his chest
And places it in Damiens hands
Kurt says "this heart belongs to you"
He askes Damien "do you want it?"
Damien places Kurts heart in his hands
"i dont"
Kurt throws it to the ground and stomps on it
Looking down at his crumpled heart a tear
Falls from his cheek
He starts walking away
He falls to his knees
Like suffocating
Damien runs over to him
But is blocked by a black mist
Damien stands there whispering
"Kurt come back"
Kurt stands up and places his heart
Into Damiens pocket
As Kurt turns and walks away
The sky opens up
And kurt rises to the clouds
A few years later Damien joins him up at the gates

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Bicycle Beds

Written February 26, 2013

Its all this new slang
Got them banging their heads
Against their bicycle beds
And the foolhardy pledge
To ride tricycles instead

We are the kings and queens
Of the wonderful yard
Of the street corner dancers
And panhandling bards

A generation will rise
So duck and cover your eyes
We're building up through the night
No need to put up a fight

Godspeed to those approaching death
They won't get to see
What we've got coming next
You'll faint from holding your breath

This cold case is closed
No need to stay in repose
To dwell on precious regrets
That are laced with vellocet

Grave Yard

Your eyes shut tight
Hearing a sound
Your heartbeat races
You can feel the little pieces
Bleeding through
The hairs on your arms
Stand up
Closing your eye lids shut
Keeping them from opening
Reaching your hand over
To turn on the light
Once you do
You open your eyes
And nothing is there
Your heat beat dies down
And your back to feeling alone

Walking to the graveyard
Going there as you
And leaving there as someone else
You can feel them all around you
Grasping unto you
And never letting go
Places parellel
You know its something paranormal

You decide not to stay
You feel yourself start to fade away
pretty soon everything
will be back where it belongs

The ghost grabbed unto your depression
And it slowly killed you
From the inside out
Now you are in the graveyard

End It

End It
By: IzaDonna

My demons crouch real low
Seeping out of me real slow
The pain protectively covered
Darkening memories like no other
But I hide behind a smile
This life not seeming worth while
The blade I have is ready to go
Life already being at an all time low
So bring on the darkness
i no longer have a purpose

Chorus
I push you away to protect you
My sickness n pain being nothing new
So save yourself from my sorrow
Cause I won't live to see tomorrow
You deserve someone better
So let me be and go find her

Loneliness is my own choice
Feeling so lost with no voice
So I let each day slip by
Everyday just wanting to die
What have I become
Where did all this pain come from
Being left alone is my desire
The spark going out in my fire
My days I feel are at an end
Too far gone to possibly mend

Chorus

So bring on the darkness
I've lost my purpose

Not Too Late

There's a ghost hiding in the past
there's a boy wishing it has last
all these secrets stop the seting sun
all the love has grown, but never said
and he wishes he could've told her what she meant
he wishes he could've said how he felt

But it's not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

There's an angel looking down
There's a boy without a frown
all this hope brings the rising sun
all thsi love we wish we had sent
he can feel she's in his heart
and will enver let him fall apart

"cause its not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

He remembers
talking o nteh couch feeling safe
he remembers writing a poem and her saying its great
he remembers
how he cried wehn she didn't open her eyes
he remembers
fearing things he can't describe

"cause its not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

She has gone

Standing there alone at the graveyard
Calling yearning memories of the past
Can't stop his tears , that's truly hard
She has gone , What a dote didn't last!

Shrouded by thoughts , downcast eye
Her voice is still beating in his ear
She was singing like a bird under the clear sky
When he played harp and waterfall was near

Can't forget these hoary promises to be together
On good and bad , To make love their guide
He just wanna say he will be loyal forever
Until his soul meets her on the other side

Beside you in time

Standing facing you
As you face me
The words fall out of your mouth
I see them float to my ears
I read them as they fly by me
Leaving me
Just like you are
You turn to me
And you shot me
Telling me to dig the bullet
Out of my heart
I reach inside my heart
As it crumbles apart
Into a million pieces
As i try to pick up all the pieces
I realize some are missing
And were neverto be found
I see myself
Holding the bullet
As im standing next to you
Holding up a fake smile
Things havent changed
Because
We were meant to be
Even tho you left me
I will be standing
Beside you in time

Who will dry my tears

WHO WILL DRY MY TEARS

I.
Farewell to the father,
Rolling up our long days dream,
This is the road u always pass through in April,
Thou has ever, always returning successfully,
Out looking for those greener pastures,
Thy abundant descendant to feed,
Will that be a crash cruise?
What has happened to thy spinal cord?

II.
Cry not but my lingering tears drops,
Like a water fall,
Is this the end of the road?
The road thou promise to take me,
Sticking to your song of praise for hope,
Pouring praises to His foot in your state,
To have your soul & thy faith like a rock,
Until the third survival of night fall,
I stood head up to watch his majestic exit,
Oh death has caused me greater harm,
It has broken the branch on which I perch.

III.
Thou have posed thy duty for me,
This song we sang to pass over our sorrowful joy,
To thou, I swear I be no prodigal,
As the has chosen to make merry,
Of thy sweat in grave,
My quest for knowledge lying in waste,
Who will send me to the fountain of knowledge?
As thou promise me of this,
This cross, I will carry for you,
Who will dry my tears?
As death as hindered your journey.
Weep not, rest and sleep,
Till His second arrival,
And there with Him we will live forever,
And death will part us no more.

Son Of A Gun

I was born half human half demon
Killer of love
I was born with a gun in my hand
The Son of a gun
Satan Worshiper
A Natural Born Killer

I walk down the hallway
Hiding my gun in my trench coat
Wearing my hat backwards
My combat boots
And my army pants
Sunglasses hiding my face

I wait for you in the Library
As i approach you
You run and hide
Under a table
Me taking my gun out of my trench coat
Holding it towards your face
You cry
Your freaking out

Your last tear hits the floor
I pull the trigger
You were the guy
That made fun of me
Calling me a freak
Tripping me in the hallway

Remember throwing bloody tampons
In my face?
Calling me gay?
Telling everyone about my personal pains?
Ive got you now
You cant hurt me anymore
But i can still hurt you

Unnamed

Plugs you into my world
Turns my eyes
Looking into my skull
Staring at my brain
Hoping to see what comes next
Takes my heart and rips it out
Dying alittle more
Shoots my gut
And places my brain where my gut once lived
Takes my fingers and pushes them into my hand
So i just have nubs
Takes my head and crushes it
Little peices falling
Bleeding unto the ground
Dying alittle more
The unnamed feeling
Comes alive
Then it takes me away
Taking the chill off my life

"There is no safety this side of Death",
admonished Father Jubal.
There's a chance we've only one more breath;
I'd bet my bottom Ruble!
My iron tongue- my lying lung!
One last dirge to be sung...
But from the depths of Hell, from Heaven fell-
I have climbed up wrung for wrung!

The Last Letter

Hey Mary Anne
Hows it going in the city
I am missing you a lot
I love you, And i know you miss me
I miss your love
I miss your care

I hope your shop is running good
Did you buy yourself a car
The colour, That you said you would
Look at the stars
Im not so far

There is something you must know
But I dont have much time to show
So then I wrote this last letter
And it has some of my soul
Im dying fast, I breathe my last
Its in my brain, Its gonna blast
Happend so fast.....

Hey Mary Anne
Before you read this I'll be gone
To the distant shore of heaven
Where I'll sit and write my songs
Girl dont you cry
I'll be alright

There is not much left to say
But babe whenever you feel lonely
You just look up here and pray
You'll here me sing
A voice within

Tear this letter once you'r done
Tear it to pieces, Let it burn
Release my soul that is in you
carry on life is so much fun
Now let me go, Just let me go
I'll await you in another world
In another world...

Velvet Wings

Completed song with music.
Much thanks to Laura Breidenthal who helped me a lot with the lyrics and music :)
--------------------------------------------------------
Ignorant to passing time
Reality strikes its deafening chime
Unspoken words pass between
I and you, my darling queen

Lay your weary head to rest
With your arms across your chest
Now it's time to close your eyes
Whisper your final goodbyes

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

Embracing tears of bitter pain
Falling lightly with the rain
Out of reach, I hear your song
Alone again, I sing along

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

From the night. . .
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I never saw you so alive
So alive
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I'll never ever say goodbye
Never say goodbye

Life has ended, you have won
Death befriended, pain is gone
Fly away into the light
Crystal clear and shining bright
Close your eyes for final rest
Meeting among the blessed

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

From the night. . .
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I never saw you so alive
So alive
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I'll never ever say goodbye
Never say goodbye

I let you go so you'll be free
Cross the path of darkened sea
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I can never say goodbye
Never say goodbye

There Is No Age To Love

A meteor falls down from the stars
Catching fire the faster it falls

She sits in her new house
Sitting in the window seat
Reading a book about wild love
And how fast it grows and catches fire
She watches the meteor shower from her window
She hears a noise coming from the hallway
She creeps around the corner
As she follows the sound to the attic
She opens the creaking attic door
A young man sits before the window
In an old red chair
Half falling apart
He is facing her
With the back of the chair facing the window
The attic door slams shut
She gasps for air
She is very afraid
He speeds and surely stands before her
Face to face
They meet
He asks her
"who are you?"
she replies
"Amelius, you?"
He moves back as he turns and his back faces her
"Eric"
He moves towards her slowly
And disapears
A few days past
She wonders where he is
She sits in the attic and waits for him
He appears behind her
She explains to him that she feels like she knows him
He sits by her on the bed
he explains there past life together
He returned to meet with her again
She died in a bathtub
He was holding her
Trying to wake her up from the pills she took
She died
After her funeral
He committed suicide
She moved on and became reborn again
He didnt because he was stuck in the past
He kisses her cheek
And she stands in awe
She does drugs in her new life
One night she was driving home
She was on acid
And she ran into a tree
She was dead on the scene
He shows up and pulls her out of the car
She thanks him for saving her
He reaches to hold her hand
"your cold"
She looks at him
"what? you mean im.."
He says "yes"
They leave together in peace
Where they should have been in the begining
His ghost soul is 46 years old
But his age of which he died is 19
She was 17 when she died the first time
The second time she died she was 19
her ghost soul is 23 years old
Love has no age

If death were an object

If death were an object like a ball would it roll to the highest point and create
evil destruction. Or if it were a metal disk that could raise itself to the bitter ends
of it's final destination. Death can appear in many different forms. Death could be
like a song that lingers with beautiful melodies. Death could be a portrait with many
faces and poses. Death can wait or death can watch. It might squeeze the life out
of every precious opening until there is nothing but a hint of despair.
But a sweet song of death can only wait and be subtle
and ease into your surrounding and gently choose you
to become the object in which it must collect.

Songs of Silence

Darkness envelopes the plain Moving stealthily among Unsuspecting rows of houses Filled with unbroken sleep The wind, afraid to move Lest it were to awaken Even one from the grasp Of this wretched sleep. And yet one feels a cry A long lost song of hope Silent, yet unnerving It strives to be heard. The long hands of despair Seek to embrace them The singers of these songs That reek of loss, irreplaceable. Tired hands work on The day progresses and yet An end is not in sight The sun sets, they work on. They feast upon the dregs Dropped from the heavens That are found on earth To subdue their hunger. Fate, they say is to blame For their woeful condition For their pathetic existence Fate and fate alone. Nature herself anguishes Over the painful loss Of her many children To the unruly hands of men. A carcass floats down the river Its stench numbs the senses Is it a man or an animal? No one knows and no one cares. The song of a newborn Muffled by the gruff hand That binds and drags it Across the river of death. The song of hunger Slowly rumbling through Like thunder on earth Silenced only by tired sleep. The song of sorrow From deep within the hearts Of people young and old Softened only by time. These are but three Of the many songs that are Heard only by deep silence And no one else. The gods above in heaven And the gods below Carry on with their mirth Not hearing these songs. Songs of silence, of blood Songs of death, of decay Songs of yesterday Songs devoid of joy. They are everywhere and yet They are heard by none They are sublime and merge Into the void that is life.

We are done

Goodbye childhood my sweet friend
We laughed and cried as our world begin
Our lives felt safe and time was long
We celebrated each day with a new song

Goodbye youth so strong and bold
We were proud and we felt owed
Our lives were fast and time was long
We drink the wine of night's song

Goodbye adulthood we did it all
We made the big world feel small
Our lives were full and time long
We cherished living with our song

Goodbye old age you came too soon
We reminisce as the end looms
Our lives grow slow and time is fast
We sing songs of our glorious past

Goodbye death my final friend
We knew we would meet at the end
Our lives are gone and time is none

Poem Written at the Sussex Hotel, London,04/04/04 After Death Threats

Because I have so little time, I only hope, for what is mine-- in my blood so dark and hot is a bright and fevered spot-- O let me be, to sing again without the penalty of pain, lest I, before my time, be torn from life, and to the grave be borne-- my nostrils full of soil, my ears stopp'd by grave and ritual tears-- O let me be, lest they will tread --my children-- on their mother's head before my song for them is done, before my course on earth is run, before they learn the song I sing: that love can conquer everything.
this poem is written in the shape of a funereal urn

I'm Not Afraid to Die Anymore

I'm not afraid to die anymore.

It happened when I realized what it'd really been like to be young.
There were all these things coming in,
and all of them fascinating,
like the unbiased smiles of potential friends
on the first day of school.
When I didn't expect the pain to last.
When I didn't acknowledge that laughter would end.
But everything does,
all the good things and the bad things,
eye to eye, hand in hand.
I'm not afraid to die anymore.

Ring around the rosie, we all fall down.
A cheerful song for death,
because when we were young,
we didn't divide the lines
between right and wrong so quickly.
I was hateful without knowing hate,
self-indulgent without apology,
loving, giving, happy, sad,
and for a little candy,
anything could be forgotten.
And everything will,
so I'm not afraid to die anymore.

Now I'm older,
and the smell of rain on the sidewalk
tries to remind me what it was like.
Sometimes I slow down and let it.
There was the sound of church bells,
when they didn't remind me of the failures of god.
Dogs could entertain me for hours.
A movie watched a hundred times,
and a song replayed daily, for months on end.
For everything, I ached.
For anyone, I grinned.
That was then,
but it turns out that none of it was really lost,
that can't be found.
All I had to do was hit the ground,
after losing a thing I loved too much.
And get up to find that I could walk
with less care than was learned,
with a little less love than what was bought.
With less attention, the little things distract me now.
With hands that are open, but don't attach themselves too much
to what is felt, I can touch almost anything,
and nothing can pull so hard.
Not even life.
Not even death.

Demolition Lovers

"This time we will show them all how much we mean"

Walking into the school
Short blonde hair
Stunning blue eyes
Wearing make up on his face
The paint on his face
Is a skilled drawing of a skull
As he passes
Everyone starres
He keeps walking foreward
Not looking at them

She enters through the other end of the hallway
Long blonde hair
Deep brown eyes
Also wearing makeup on her face
A skilled drawing of a smaller skull
All the girls she passes
Starre at her
Wondering what kind of girl would
Wear makeup like that

The Boy and the girl
Meet in the middle of the hallway
They hold eachothers hands
And continue down the hallway

Seeing them from behind
You read on his backpack
"I gave you my bullets..."
And on her bag you can see
"And i gave you my love"
They walk out of the school together
All the teachers starring
All the students watching there every move
They walk straight out to his car
A black Mustaine 1998
Before they get to the bridge
He ties there hands together

They drive 10 miles
To a bridge
Theres a hill
A bridge
And a river
Hes going 90 mph
She clinches his hand
He looks at her with a smile on his face
She looks back at him pale as a ghost
The car jumps over the bridge into the river
The lovers dying on empact
Forever tied together by
The rope he tied earlier

Like a bed of roses
Theres alot of reasons
Why we are laying here
As we are falling down into
The pool of blood
I see your eyes
I mean this when I say forever.

Music Of The Damned

Music Of The Damned

The pounding beat of a drum
The haunting call of a guitar
The woeful sound of a saxophone
A singer singing the thoughts I have
Thoughts I cannot share
All heard in the darkest of night
Alone with my thoughts and the thoughts of the singer
I hear how life is not worth living
How there is no hope
How there is no chance of a future
Depression reaches into my very soul
Tearing me apart at the seams
I listen, absorbing every word
Letting the notes control my heartbeat
My head throbs as I listen
My hand reaches to table next to me
A thin sliver of shiny metal
Sharpened by men who didn’t know how it would be used
The singer had no idea what his words could do
The last note of the song matches my last breath
My heart beats to an ever slowing beat
It stops as the drummer screams
The song ends and so have I
Just the last victim of the music of the damned

Disconnection

I'm…
so tired of my heart
breaking

I'm …
so tired of my hands
shaking

I'm so tired of my mind
racing

I'm through pacifying
my disconnection

Do I only love you for who you used to be?
When you said you'd wait for all eternity?
Did you drink away every memory of me?
How am I not everything you’ll ever need?!

I've had to sit down and write this
to tell you the words i can't speak
When I'm around you now i feel weak
I'm drowning in my disconnection

Where did he go??
You are not the soul I used to know
Where did your memories go?!

Why has the meaning disappeared…
So suddenly
Now I realize I should too

You act like you remember nothing
I can tell that’s what I mean to you
After all I’ve done for you
All I want is to be emotionless too

In the end I guess it’s what I love the most about you…..
Your disconnection.

War-Born Lullaby

I hear a mother softly cry
As she sings a war-born lullaby.

The song of a father who went away,
To give freedom one more day.

He promised that he would return,
Return from watching evil burn.

It was a promise he could not keep,
As now he sleeps an eternal sleep.

He gave his life so his child could see,
A land of freedom and liberty.

His body now rests beneath green grass,
His medals and picture behind clear glass.

His soul, however, is not gone.
His ideas and dreams are carried on.

She sings the song of war’s high cost.
She sings the song of freedom not lost.

She sings of a father’s sacrifice,
For his country and family he gave his life.

Susana's Melody

Susana played a flaunting tune,

That lingered near the haunting moon,

The song was tragic, sad ,and sour,

Which filled her with the darkest power,

And when her song was over and done,

She knew she had the best of fun,

For when her mother scurried in,

There was a floating violin.

The Hallelujah Cry

“It's not a cry you can hear at night. It's not somebody who's seen the light. It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah.”

This is my favorite quote from the song Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright because it is a sad yet uplifting song that tells about the trouble of the world in their attempt of piety and holy praise. It also speaks personally to me because of the troubles I have faced. The melody is beautiful, done on a piano, and this composition is moving. it brings me memories of my Grandma's sudden and painful death, and so I cherish it with prideful tears.

The dark hunter howls with ferocious pride.
Yet you cannot hear it at the bed side.
A happy day this day should be,
Yet it's not for you, nor for me.
For Death is cold and overbearing.
The pain of grief we end up sharing.
The song you sing should bring a smile,
This stain of death gives Holy defile.
Cold and broken is this night.
He's going down, there is no fight.
The silver tears pour down our face,
For this is no Hallelujah place.

Rufus Wainwright- "Hallelujah"

See The Old Man Thomas

See the Old Man Thomas
As he burns his brain
With a glimmering glass
And a ratteling chain
Behind white horses
In a New York bar
Between a setting sun
And a falling star

No use in raging
Over dying light
Old Thomas won't
But the young men might
He will go gently
Into the black
Just stumble ahead
And never look back

See the Old Man Thomas
- wild and gray
He bought nothing
- but he had to pay
Lets bury him down
In sand and clay
Say a quick prayer
And be on our way

In the heavy traffic
In the crowded street
In the dark cafes
Where lovers meet
Old Thomas walk
Up around the bends
Where silence sings
And music ends

We'll have fun
At his funeral soon
Dance all night
By the bright blue moon
We'll read his poems
For old time's sake
And sing at the grave
And sleep at the wake

See the Old Man Thomas
- wild and gray
His whole life happend
- yesterday
Lets bury him down
In sand and clay
Say a quick prayer
And be on our way

The Old Man Thomas
Is gone for sure
One last drink
Then he closed the door
No new words
From his drunken pen
And nobody knows
If we'll meet again

Till Ragnorak Comes

From Valhalla’s fortress of spears and shields,
Valkyrie riders make their daily runs…
Crossing Bifrost to Midgard’s battlefields,
Harvesting warriors till Ragnorak comes.

Flying from Valhalla on their war horses,
Thundering hooves beat like old battle drums,
Odin’s blond daughters watching the forces--
Harvesting warriors till Ragnorak comes.

Legionnaires, Pikemen, Hussars and Spartans;
Storm Troopers, Crusaders and Saracens;
Musketeers, Vikings, and Gladiators;
Watusi, Cossacks, and Conquistadors.
As long as men hear the sounds of war drums,

They’ll harvest the best till Ragnorak comes.
Valkyries search for those to stand vanguard,
Recruiting Odin’s Einherjar armies.
Warriors pass Valgrind to live in Asgard--
Honored to be served by the Valkyries.

Hoplites, Commandoes, and Mujahideens;
Samurais, Yeomen, and US Marines;
Guerrilas, Dragoons, and Panzer Tankers;
Grenadiers, Mamelukes, and Bezerkers.
As long as men hear the sounds of war drums,
Valkyries harvest till Ragnorak comes.

MEDITATION

Looking back
It is beauty that is carved into
Every moment of our lives
Every moment of our near deaths,
Every moment of our death.

A song reached out to me
In my winter bed,
A simple song of simple love.
Transcending me back eight years
Into that lonely street where I stood
Looking down at every one.
Proud and haughty.
An absolute sense of right.
Self destructive.
Yet like the Phoenix, capable of
Raising one up towards the truth.

It was the brittle line between life and death
I saw it that night.
When my mind split into two.
When time halted.
When death kissed me in.
And then wonder of wonders,
I saw the three dimensions of the
Most beautiful face on earth,
My angel.
I was over joyed.

In the busy consultation room
Patient after patient buzzing in.
All seem to fragment in front of me.
The drama called life ran figments
I connected with their woes and miseries,
I knew they will all vanish.
I smiled an all knowing smile.
They smiled back half cured of their ailments.
I smiled at Maya.
I couldn’t help smiling.

The people who fought for me,
They made me who I am today.
People who left and who still pray for me,
People far off who have given me a hundred reasons to smile,
People who have bruised and battered me and moulded me into who I am.
Why did God send them to me?
Was it not a mirror He sent through all of them,
A mirror into which I had to see,
With my mind open.

In a painting, Xibalba radiates with such beauty
Such absolute glow and fire,
Transporting me to the after life.

The paradise called peace.
Salaam.
Where all goodness lives and perishes not for eternity.
There I see myself, sitting, meditating,
Looking up.
On the glory that was life,
On the glory that was death,
On the glory of the One.

Dancing Lovers

Holding your hand by your bed late last night
I remembered that day you first came into my sight
I knew then and there you were the one meant for me
And together from then on we always would be.

You played it so coy, pretending not to know
That my eyes followed you everywhere that you would go
But you kept looking over with such subtle glances
As I worked up the nerve to ask you for a few dances.

We danced through the night, we danced cheek to cheek
We danced every song till our knees both grew weak
We have danced ever since through the laughter and tears
But our dancing has now ended after so many years.

I felt you slip away sometime during the darkness
You went up to heaven to dance on the clouds
Please wait for me darling, I’ll be joining you shortly
And we can continue our dancing to harps playing so loud.

We danced through the night, we danced cheek to cheek
We danced every song till our knees both grew weak
We have danced ever since through the laughter and tears
But our dancing has now ended after so many years.

It cannot be compared to anything but God
for he is its source its living waters laud
the fairest of the fair where desire is complete

The elixir in the goblet intoxication of sweet wine
how the taste and smell and touch majesty divine
unspoiled and unpolluted its embrace is clean

To dare to look upon it and in its depths be found
water it does all life and gives fertile ground
without it there's no Light to life where in darkness set
those who follow hatred live in Death forget

Awake awake oh sleeper lift your eyes on High
Love is the only thing we're assured can never die
It holds the universe together exists for all Time
like God we hold its passing memory deeply in our mind

Fall I do in worship beneath its gaze I bow
that into his presence by Son he does allow
to let us stand before him and take us in embrace

Dancers

The world is slowly turning
We're all danncers
The song is full of depth
Drenching us in meaning
I watch you as you dance
In the arms of the moon
How unaware of me you are
I'm a long faded dream
Or perhaps a nightmare
That you've forgotten
My heart is clinching
My emotions are spinning
The song fills my ears
Your voice fills my heart
We're dancing so close
And yet we're so far apart
Separated by two realities
You no longer exist in mine
And I no longer exist in yours
The rose bears corrupt thorns
Stabbing me in the heart
In the middle of the dance floor
I slowly fall to my knees
At the end of it all
You're the only one who could
Bring me back to life
At the end of it all
You're the only one who could
End the life devoted to you
The world is slowly turning
We're all dancers
The song is full of depth
Drenching us in meaning
I watch as you slowly fade
Into the arms of the moon
The music comes to an end
And I'm dying all alone

Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb

I never really thought about it until I was listening to a song
But that's why Cassie Bernall is dead today
Because she was making a stand to pledge allegiance to the lamb
And what she said woke up a lot of people of all ages!!!

She just said one word
Oh but the impact that word had on the world
Because it's a challenge to everyone as a person
To take a look inside and see if your relationship is right with God.

It sounded like she was just a normal teenager
Who most likely wouldn't of said what she did
If it hadn’t of been for Jamie inviting her to go on a youth retreat
So, Jamie, I'm sure that her parents want to say "thank you".

The song is entitled "I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb"
When I heard that song for the first time after her death
I said, "that song was written for and in memory of Cassie"
Because she pledged allegiance to her Lamb.

Babies Silenced

Hello abortion my old friend
I've come to you again__
Because a period not creeping
He left his seeds while I was sleeping
And the baby that was planted in my groin
Still remains
Within my fear of silence

In disturbed dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of the moon lamp
I turn my heart to be cold and damp
When my eyes were struck by a flash of
Small insight
That split my night
And touched my heart of silence

And in the night light I saw
Ten million babies maybe more
Babies crying with much weeping
People hearing without really caring
People writing names of murdered child never shared
For no one dared
Disturb the cry of silence

"Fools", said I, "Abortion kills
Silenced permanently babies still
Hear my words that I might nurture you
Take my arms that I might hold you
But my words like silent stardust fell
And echoed in the womb of silence

And some people bowed and prayed
To the God of love today
And the song flashed out it warning
In my words that song was forming
And the sign said, "The word of the prophets
Are written on peoples hearts
And that is a place to start
And they're whispered in the silence

MARY WAS THE POETESS

Mary was the poetess
who loved handsome Franco,
the tall Neapolitan orchestra leader;
and in Naples they met:
at The Galleria Umberto,
under the surveillance of my father...

Mary was barely eigtheen,
and writing was her only passion;
even her big, hazel eyes were
as light as the Tyrannean Sea in summer,
somehow too melanchonic as a fading moon,
which longed more for a friend than a lover!

Her first song was recorded in Milan, with a brilliant
production of composer Angelo Camis;
that song became quite popular in Capo D'Istria,
and in all the booth-shaped Italian Peninsula!
Ermanna Melli from the city of Forli was the artist
with that mellow, sensual and expressive voice!

" What's this desire? " a delicate and spontaneous love song,
captured a large audience, both young and old...
it was a song telling of the emotions of a young heart too naive,
falling in love with someone much older that she was, indeed;
and it made many people cry, perhaps recalling the time
they fell for someone as special and gorgeous as Mary's dream guy!

Mary, your song still plays on the airwaves of that radio station and although
you no longer sing it in the manner of a famous virtuoso: the visions
of your past life become too real as you performed it by surprise;
it is the jewel you left on earth for us to remember you by,
and it immesely dazzles like every rainbow in the Capri's sky...
when an unknown tenor improvises his impassioned aria with an absolute sorrow!

Mary was the poetess who dedicted her time
writing about love, but never found it in reality;
she was my oldest sister inspiring me with her creativity!
Mary had the potential of becoming great and shine,
but the tides turned abruptly and fate wasn't kind:
even today, her fearless voice comes alive through her poetry!

Contempo

In line formation with a quaint response formidable

Contempo
Chase the wind in cinder appeal apposed to action
The make believe pen on a blade of steel
Choices being made having great response played

Marked on its torn blotted page,

The call of the wild a little child
Looking after storm clouds bow
With a pillage to the plow in heightened drama
The band played on for your honor,

The scene again filled with bright colors in fashion.
The notion of them grasping & sharing,
What on Earth was she wearing?
Contempo

As a Warhol scene within its designer mean influx

The thought of stone pillars erected in soaring heights with plight
A song bird soars in the night & then
A whisper of the loom in want or that of heat?
Contempo

A societal attribute in longing to appease
The rational lingering to please
One day soon all will have to bow the knee
In dire worthy honor to our maker

The thought of a caped crusader,
In champion we learn to reflect.
A notion of a song in sorted reflect
Upon silence toward a want to fulfill a given need

While the world outside longs to see you bleed
Yet by faith we are captivated by the smile
The hung feature of a lonesome child
Nestled in a cradle apart from the wild.

Cicadas' Song

A fine-spun shell clings to the weed
my arthritic fingers yank from soil
of the same drab tinge.

My ears ring
with the constant humm-m-m—
insistent joy—familiar music
from thirteen years past.

Invisible cicadas sing as they mate,
unaware of their fate,
unconcerned with the weight of time,

while my work-worn joints
made me painfully aware of mine.

Boy

Boy

1. The rain hits my hood
2. As it falls to the ground
3. My feet are wet
4. The cold water feels so good
5. But I still don’t make a sound
6. Death is all I will get

7. A long walk home
8. Getting more wet with every step
9. Headphones blaring
10. I am so alone
11. Could not explain in depth
12. Sing so loud, now people are glaring

13. Overflowing drain
14. Streets in a flood
15. Why so much pain
16. No need to explain
17. With the dripping blood
18. Mixed with falling rain

19. Bleeding now uncontrollably
20. Your yard now so full of water
21. Laying as the rain hits my face
22. So dark outside that you cant see me
23. All I wanted was her forever
24. Feeling drowsy now I’m closer to my place

25. Your bedroom light shines upon me
26. My wrists are starting to swell
27. Tears burn my eyes
28. Not knowing what I came to see
29. Blood is such an awful smell
30. You have killed me with your lies

31. I can hear your music
32. Rain hits so much stronger
33. Still I am crying so loud
34. I can still taste your lipstick
35. I can not hold on any longer
36. No I can not be proud

37. A letter in my hand
38. I start to sing
39. Hoping you will hear me
40. Letter with lyrics from our song and band
41. Such a wasted thing
42. I am now lifeless and clear

43. I can hear our song now
44. With words of pure love
45. As you skip it
46. My voice is so weak now
47. Our song meant so much of
48. My heart now, you don’t give a spit

49. Can you even still hear me
50. Open your window
51. My body so cold
52. Look down and see me
53. Just a body below
54. I am told

55. That you rushed downstairs
56. And you told me that
57. You do love me
58. And that I would live, and I will sing without glares
59. And so much more then that
60. But still you could not save me

61. Holding my bloody body
62. Crying to yourself
63. Hoping it was all a lie
64. The last thought to me
65. To ask myself
66. Why?

Johnny Cash

(Dedicated to Johnny Cash who died September 12, 2003.)

You were a great singer who died in 2003.
My favorite song of yours was the General Lee.
That song was recorded many years ago.
I liked watching you guest star in an episode of Columbo.
Your wife died just a few months before you did.
You had a great marriage and a wonderful kid.
You were a great singer and a good actor too.
If the world lasts for ten million years, people will still remember you.

My Favorite Song

The most beautiful and the saddest song I’ve ever heard,
Was the Old Rugged Cross as I hung on to every word.
It brought sadness the brutal way our Savior died,
And the way He was mocked, and so viciously crucified.
But His death was short lived,
    His prophecy He fulfilled.
He suffered His death like any mortal man,
Succumbing to the pain that was part of the plan.
Beaten and bruised before being nailed on that cross,
The day the world experienced it’s greatest ever loss.
And, yes I do I cherish that old rugged cross with all my heart.
Knowing that He died for me helps me to play my part.
And the beauty part of the song is where I lay my worldly trophies down,
Knowing that the Lord Himself holds for me my crown.
Sometimes I see visions of those crosses on that hill of so long ago.
And I feel like crying out, Stop this madness, Stop it don’t you know?
Then reality awakens me to thought that this deed has already been done.
Nailed on that cross, Jesus Christ, God’s only son
What He Gave,
Was probably our only way for us to be saved
So yes I will cling to that old rugged cross,
For without what it stands for we all would be lost.
