Propriety demands - we do not speak
Of others, either strong – or weak
Lest in the foray of the quest
Insiders, fall from grace, of safety’s nest
Take residence alongside taloned beast
Intent on making you the winner’s feast
Cloned puppets denying there are strings
Surrendering their truth to cell phone rings.

I s a child to be heard?
N o one answers, as usual. The silence is slowly killing me.
S orrow, misunderstanding and these mourning memories,
I s this the way it is supposed to be? Since that fateful day, I have been a
G irl, lost in a whirl of tragic past, calamitous present and the fear of having no future,
N ever have I known what "family", "friends" or "fiends" mean, for
I have never made or heard of any.
F or I am thirteen, just as inconsequential as a dwarf planet, amongst boundless galaxies.
I live in misery, why won't anyone listen to me? I may be young, but I
C an converse, listen and see, and I
A m as normal as you are. So why
N ot give me a chance to prove myself?
C an you ever give me a listening
E ar? Is a child to be heard?

Can't they understand that its just too much
You post or tweet but what you write you watch
Bullied by lawmakers into censoring one's post
Exactly the thing that we hate the most
Reason flew away when they made this law
Carelessly ignoring that it has a flaw
Reminding us of the days of Proclamation 1081
Ignorant lawmakers forget that those days are gone
Mindless of the freedom of speech that it would kill
Entirely forgetting that this is against Juan's will

Lawmakers who passes law but does not think
Adieu to you for your careers will stink
Wait for the next elections and watch your vote count sink

A new law against cybercrime was passed in the Philippines and it took effect last Oct.3.
This law includes a very vague section against libel and in effect it is going to curtail online freedom of speech or expression. Filipinos are against it and are clamoring for an amendment. If you are wondering about the name juan which was used in this poem then I'd like to inform those from different countries that Juan refers to the Filipino people.

Senate acrostic

Senate and the House of representatives make up congress.
Exactly so why is one more important than other for progress.
Now fight divided, seems like a game of chess.
All were elected by the people, this we must express.
Tell them to fight for the people, big business suppress.
Embrace, oath they took, procure and acquiesce.

I nterestingly enough, where no politicians are found.
S light of hand and twist of fact,

L essining the risk has no economic appeal,
O thers try repeatedly to obscure the deal.

Spring, Summer, Autumn Winter

Spring Summer Autumn Winter Acrostic Poetry.

Seeking political office is getting hard,
Party politics needs more vigor in this regard:
Republicans must try more to deliver their views
In order to organize the people, without any excuse;
Nowadays, Democrats are getting stronger, after
Gaining control of the White House and the Senate altogether.

Some people think, and it's a true fact, that
Unless Republicans try to review their policy tact,
Many of their seats will be lost in congress,
Mainly some seats in the Senate, also some of the seats they control
Especially in the House: they will have to review and
Revise their conservative norms, regarding Immigration Reforms.

America needs a strong leader
Under the present day economic conditions
To lower the country's debt of over 14 trillions dollars:
Until and unless we try to cut down spending and
Most of us try to reduce excessive wastes,
No amount of effort will save the country from disaster.

We the people think that
In this country it was
Never the right thing,
To increase excessive spending,
Even if we could afford to spend it.
Responsibility lies in all of us to reduce the nation's debt.

Multi Ethnic Monarch

Multi Ethnic Monarch

Get it together they all say
On labours path they have come to stay
Down the social they all prey,
Social security we drew today.
Awkward stress across streets
Voice aloud a shuffle a push,
Enter violence on this day
The day our nationals were blown away.
Holding onto life’s grip, forever free
Ethnic people we will be, the British ethnic minority
Queuing depth behind banners trod,
Unbeliever the action faced
England’s police in disgrace.
Ever present the cloud of doubt
No voice now there is no shout.

Most Politicians Are:

Laudable, fine, upstanding folk.
Year on year they shoulder the yolk.
Illustrious and kind,
Noble and refined,
Genial, with no wish to provoke.

Sincere as sincere as can be.
Honest – well, as honest as me.
Intelligent and witty,
Trustworthy and gritty.
Shame all this is pure fantasy.

Adamantine State

Pernicious weapons shall not devastate
An unvanquishable nation, an indestructible state
Lust for blood rips thousands’ bodies apart
Each slaughtered by a master of slaying art
Salvaged from inhumanity of humankind
They rise to Heaven for eternal peace of mind
Into the air, their invincible spirits float
“Never give up”, with their blood they wrote
Eternity will witness the victory we await

A Freedom Cry

A long time ago we were plagued with tyranny.
Freedom was their quest, ancestors won it morally.
Real freedom comes with hard work and tenacity.
Everyone wants a free ride, as is happening currently.
Each, of us is becoming an insincere, minority.
Delivering, into their hands, all the precious authority,
Our lives have become, what our ancestors, fled in posterity.
Many liberties and independence, is being taken by piracy.
Causing, loss of stability to our way of life and past warranty,
Rebellion is not needed yet, though it may become an irony.
Yes, we are allowing our choice, to be forced into conformity.

                      AFRICAN POLITICS

All who vote will have a kit to track their twice vote fingers
For voting jaunts are fun to do –Obama’s victory lingers
Rousing speeches move the crowds to switch their party’s stance
If there's cash it helps inspire the wild election dance
Camera cell phones all abound-- some legal and some not
And world reporters film it all— for violence sells hot
No one knows what will come next, but it will pay a lot

Politicians beat the Hague and beg for ever vote
On the stage they sing and clown and eat until they bloat
Little can be done to change the spectacle we see
Ill-fated U.N. reigns advice---it stays the same to me
Take a little glimpse of life in democratic form
Itchy teachers strike for pay and kids burn down their dorm
Clever pundits cast their views through newscasts on TV
Slow to see the world burn down in stark reality

Sympathy For The Blind

Darkness may come, may it yet pass
Wars may be upon us, may they not last
Ignorance may blind us, may it not lead
Needless hate may end us, may it not succeed
Doors are opening wide, may we pass through
Leave evil behind, now or never give it it's due
Irrational folly can not be forgiven this time
No more will we not stop to report your crime
God willing, evil will lose, yes... where do I sign?

Affordable Care Act

A great and noble idea to improve many ways of life,
Fiasco from the start, too big was the beginning strife.
Fairness for all was never set up within the many lines.
Only the government can create, without seeing the signs.
Republicans and Democrats, lost in a world of decline.
Democrats, Republicans, live beyond, yours and mine.
Americans need to be aware of the growing control.
Before we lose everything, including our living soul,
Listen to their arguing and noncompliance to law.
Each of them has nothing, to lose after all.

Care for them is guaranteed, after they leave.
A continuance of pay, benefits with no reprieve.
Retirement is not less in their pockets, you see.
Eternal pay received, unlike you and me.

Accountability has no meaning any more.
Culpability and more they just ignore.
Take heed Americans, or be forever poor.

Influence by Christian Cepeda 7th grade

Intoxication.....good or bad?
Not good if you're intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol. My
Future is important to me. Young ones,
Little ones, old ones. The
United States should be drug and alcohol free,
Even if it takes a lifetime.
No one should ever do drugs or become intoxicated.
Change can happen but it starts with you!
Everyone can make a difference.

Significance is signalized by interest
Unfounded truths can damage sworn loyalty
People seem friends, but act like wolves
Praising their false deeds instead of the true ones
Rotten inside, twisting words that are so convincing
Eliminating the evidence of extraordinary things
Shimming, as demons enter their malicious souls
Shoving aside what's good, holy and blessed
In impetous haste, they suppress every truth
Naiveness is not found in their impious character
Glory they demand, but nothing they are willing to give
Tarot reading must be accurate, or curses will follow
Ruling with deception, they reduce others to poverty
Uluate they won't, to conceal their obvious unhumaness
Tyrants shake their hands and promise them prominent positions
Horace himself would have despised these impudent, unethical folks

What Difference

Why is it we think one race or color is different at all.
Have we not seen evil and good in every facet of life?
Anyone know of any color of man or woman ever,
Tracing back in time, all have had devils and saints.

Do not propagate lies and distort one another’s difference.
I have been guilty of judging whole races just like others.
Forgetting, not all persons of one race ever feel the same.
Forgetting rulers have always made decisions for them.
Each one maybe wrong or maybe right, only time tells.
Rulers always set the tone of any fight or war conceived.
Elected freely or by overthrow, they decide the start.
Now you ask the questions of African nature as set.
Criticize I cannot do, since my statements above are true.
Every human upon this earth even Africans; have both clues.

God Bless America

Gracious thought has been dropped from human inhabitants.
Our hearts have become cold and distant to almost everything.
Deference has no meaning for us or any other human.

Before we can carry onward, we must remember the beginning.
Lessons remembered are the key to our future roads to travel.
Every soul must search inward to see where we are headed.
Success is truly wonderful and we have fulfilled our winning.
Success without faith is gone, and the road less traveled tortures.

America has blessed each one of us from the beginning in faith.
Mercy is upon our leaders, for they have lost the true reality.
Erasing their hearts and minds of the reality, united we stand.
Refuse greed mongers of their desires, replacing with honesty.
Individuality of the representatives was our ancestor’s goal.
Call out God Bless America in truth, faith, freedom, to all.
Anything less will be the end of whatever time we have left.

Freedom to Choose

For everyone there is freedom of choice
Remember that everyone has a voice.
Each person has liberty forever more.
Exemplary words will always be the score.
Do not hesitate to say what’s on you mind.
Only remember the goal, be careful and kind.
Make every effort to not block out and be blind.

Take your respect and share with all humankind.
Our freedom managed, on what others find.

Choose to impart your words, on others you see.
Have enough will power for theirs to remain free.
Our freedoms are shared with everyone in agree.
Our freedoms always gave, in total degree.
Since the statue in the bay, so given us to be,
Each person’s guardian, receptor, she’s lady liberty.

A Tribute

Quintessence of radiance in the days of utter dark,
Unparallel among the guides, fairly upto the mark,
An advocate with plenteous, bounteous sincerity,
Invincible, feared neither wolf’s howl nor dog’s bark.

Decent in manners, humble and modest in being,
Efficacious in thinking, alert and vigilant in seeing,
Adhesive to the mission, incarnated embodied truth,
Zeal and zest packed rider on the steed galloping.

An aspiring figure, to the secured harbour he rowed
Majestically steering the lobbing ship, never bowed,
Malicious he was to none but clang to the just cause,
Undaunted he was and accomplished what he vowed.

Harmonious and integral he was in saying and deed,
Adroit and perfect guide he was in faith and creed,
Manly, steadfast, sagacious he was in his dealings,
Meticulous model he was on the hazy road to lead.

Adept he was who outwitted rivals with great skills,
Dignified who led safely through mounds and hills,
Admonished he the nation about the hidden traps,
Laudable whom pay homage, respect rivers and rills.

Incorruptible, whom from the hearts we all adore,
Jeopardizing his comforts, he brought us all ashore,
Indulgent, who never beguiled the trusting people,
Nullified he the opponents who succeeded no more.

Navigated, ransacked he the seas at an early age,
Apostle of faith, truth who broke the confining cage,
Humane, humble he was yet he won the homeland,
Muhammad Ali Jinnah written on history’s each page.

Mimicry is Murder

Mirror melted, and I enclosed in solid space of ice
Intersperse images, direlict of other's maiming vice.
Mimicry is not a benign deceit as you would think
Incontestable illusions brought my race to this brink
Cramped with penury and self mutilations. The image
Rinsed in the shadowy world of water, watch it change
Yesterday's victim for the victimizer. I feel a strange

Intertwining of silhouettes, a sinister string, a damage
Suspiciosly hard to explain in the colonizer's world

My usefulfulness replaced by my uselessness, the shell
Upstaged, left in sand's silence for shimmering of pearl
Rude those conquistadores settling in the benign hell
Dangerous not to them who make us unreal in the real
Essence of fire, and by sly ambiguities cruelly conceal
Racial meanings, except where minstrelsy glimpse desire.

Long ago in days of glory, there was a man who lived a story,
Our Nation strong he did make, a true Patriot not like this fake.
Father of our Nation was good old George,
a man of character, he waged a good war.
From proud Nation's foes he secured our land,
freedom won from King George's hand.
This George, from ivory tower came,
poised for power, age-old name.
G.W. waged a war in old Iraq, just for power, and Oil black.
The contrast is stark, his deeds well known,
Bush sold our Country for his Crown.

Tax Thought

Tax time again, again, again
Anxious crunching of the days
Xenogenous shaking of the brain
Empty checkbooks, delays
Severing theory from truth.

Income diminished by rising cost
Severe dislocation of expectations

Undistributed wealth, profits unshared
National bills unpaid by the very rich
Justice forgotten in broken schools
Undeveloped communities, and roads
Statistics say wars get the lion's share
The tenor of egos, and representation wares.

Nine One One

Nine minutes, to become a hero, what could be done?
Individuals, gathering, for one goal, act as one.
No one knows, exactly how this tragedy, begun.
Exemplary persons stepped up, under the gun.

Our thoughts and prayers will go forever more.
Near and far memories will live in our hearts core.
Emptiness felt of losses, along with devastating gore.

Our past should guide us, never let down, our guard.
Never again, to let enemies, deal us, a deadly card.
E Pluribus Unum will always guide our spirits hard.

Election Fever

Emancipation must be sustained by a plebescite
Legitimizing governance of the people by the people
Each man a citizen, each citizen a natural right
Citizens balloting the franchise of desire, dreams to steeple
Temple and parliament in power - balanced and aimed
Inspired by justice deep root, and equality's branches
Organizing security and economy a state is framed
Nurturing a growth of kings from soldiers common trenches

Fickle tongued, the candidates flicking syllables come
Ego twining itself around the poll of each dream
Vision warming its blood in rodent cornered freedom
Empty platforms with the loss of ideas once supreme
Rising above the narrow, petty partisan hope of mad men seen as sane

Struggle, fight, Flankers must unite against the chains of night

Complacent Desires

Courage and boldness we have forgotten in these days.
Our ancestors had only future expectations to live for.
Maybe, we have slaughtered the ideas; they had in a way.
People relaxed and comfortable, nothing new in store,
Laziness of no dreams or desires; we have it all today.
Anxious not for any changes, let us keep it the same.
Centuries of ruins would not exist, if they had no fire.
Expressing nothing that we have now, without a game,
Now think; where we would be, without their simple desire,
Trapped with no mechanics, science, or exploration aim,

Dreams are what made us, this so-called great nation.
Everyone wants to fight progress, save the past notion.
Salvation of our ancestor’s greatness is in information.
I want to preserve historic ideas, creations in contemplation.
Relics, continued treasure, do not forget about expansion.
Events from the past show we are full of personification.
Secure the now, and then stand firm for forward motion.

Fleeting Power

Look who is trembling in the corner, helpless
As a dog that has lost its fearful bark and bite;
Man of the moment he used to be, merciless,
Endlessly going after perceived rivals in sight.

Driven by greed for power and devoid of civility,
Undoing old statutes to fit his crazed ideology,
Cast from the throne, a sorry image of a man,
King of the hill, king of clowns, is now all done.

Skunk Smelling

Foul smells of secrets and lies exist in the
Rarified air of
Artificially deodorized
Gentry whose lives
Rarely encounter those
Aromas arousing
Nose wrinkles of disgust, as they
Count on their perfumed cover to
Engulf the real truth.
