Open Sores

I am a coward with open sores.
I write and wonder who it bores.
I hear my heart and mind argue repeatedly.
I see others carrying out my dreams;
that’s what’s defeated me.
I am a coward with open sores.
I pretend open doors are closed, and walk the other way.
I touch base with the fear in my heart, tearing me apart,
leaving nothing to say...
I worry the world will leave me.
I cry because no one believes in me.

I am a coward with open sores.
I understand nothing comes easy.
I say I’m happy, but even I don’t believe me.
I dream I am healed and brave.
I try to overcome my weaknesses before I’m in my grave.
I hope you hear me.
I’m on all fours.
I am a coward with open sores.

Kiss Me in the Shadows

Keep well away from dark, forbidding dreams --
Instead, stay near the hearth and play your lyre;
Sleep even so will wait on wooden beams,
Seducing you beside your cozy fire.
Meticulous and careful you may be,
Evicting darting shadows with the blaze --
Inside your quiet cottage, patiently,
Night's emissary holds you in her gaze.
The cuckoo calls as midnight church-bells chime;
His warning message echoes from the walls --
Enchanted ears have lost all track of time,
So far from whispered fears as silence falls.
Her chilling hands then rip away your voice,
And images assail your inner eyes --
Denying you the act of conscious choice,
On captive lips she mixes truth and lies.
When sunlight climbs the sky and breaks her spell,
She blows a darkened kiss, and bids farewell.

Twins --- Gemini

        *                                                                                        *
B Beginning with my journey, on the cusp of different signs
O One path that leads to Venus, yet to Mercury I have climbed *
R Reaching for the stars, with a curious mind to know * *
N Never knowing just what might have been, where other paths could go
U Under power of the universe, each complex twist and turn
N Now it holds me in its flower, where my destiny has bloomed
D Deep within my heart, I wish a comet’s tail to ride
E Eclipsing secrets of the moon, or a star to be my guide
R Reflection of the twin in me, that can see the other side *

G Gazing with curiosity, through life’s dark and cloudy windows *
E Each pane of glass stares back at me, a entwined reflection shows... *
M My mirror image , is she perplexed? I wonder if she knows…
I I search her face, but secrets hide, the mimic's eyes are sealed *
N No hint revealed,.. she is quite resolved..and like the moths of night
I I flutter, as does she, against the glass, to reach the light

Magnum Opus

Man of words, strange creature of fiery intention,
Amplifying pictures with that restless imagination,
Great are the images spurting forth from your pen,
Nothing holds you down, working alone in the den;
Unto the night you toil, pushed by an alien power,
Mastering some inner demons, taming your fear.

Oh how you search for truths floating up in the air,
Producing tremors with the raging force they stir,
Until at last your labors come to a perfect ending,
Shaking humanity with the hard lessons they bring.

Mirror On My Back

True to my nature to entertain
Annulled in my character to refrain
Treasured, a toss up to comprehend
Yesterday's version of me, my friend
Another day, maybe, the sky will clear
Never reminded I'm almost near
And so in the vision of all that's dear, I swiftly pick up the pace...

Kneeling on knees of cardboard paint
Alive in the version I feel to faint
Tasting the air in a cosmic dream
I know that these words, are not what they mean
Under the weight of impossible skies
Shouldering light, in the east - sunrise
Hardly a mirror to shadow catch
And so I am swift in a turn unmatched, as I miss my expression of face...

Cataclysmic in word and deed
And always a step past the possible need
Read like a novel without an end
Nailed by my countenance to defend
Ever determined to spring to naught
Yet in reflection, I've not been caught.

Lay Down Your Words

L et your thoughts travel to pen
A fter all you’ve been through
Y ield to your spirit, friend.

D id you ever want to cry from the inside,
O utward appearance tranquil,
W ords spoken all for nought,
N ever knowing why?

Y ahweh may be behind that veil,
O dds are He’s waiting for you to give in,
U gly as you feel,….. ready yourself to write.
R each into your spirit; lay down the words that come.

W ords express at this time what you know not.
O ften lessons are learned that we have not sought.
R arely will your burden not be lightened,
D oing that which you were gifted to do.
S o to be at peace; .. lay down your words.

A is for apathy, “You all know you are!”

B is for itching, “Why can’t I have a car?”
U is for the umbilical cord. You never cut from Ma.
N is for neutral, “Why should you take a stand?”

D is for dependent, “Hey, one always needs a hand!”
A is for angry, “Well, why the hell shouldn’t I be?”
N is for nostalgia, ‘cause in the past we’re free.
C is for the ocks ;) who run the whole damn show!.
E is for euthanasia, “When your old just GO!”

And all that spells abundance, in case you could not tell?
Or went to school in Texas and never learned to spell.

Happiness (acrostic)
Happiness is found within not in people and things

Acceptance of the present regardless of what fears/ inner demons you may be facing

Persistence in seeking love and happiness inside ourselves so we may experience the abundance of love and beauty that encompasses us

Patience with ourselves as we learn and grow through our personal trials and tribulations life often presents to us, unexpectedly

Inside ourselves are all the answers we seek, believe in yourself with a smile on your face

Never give up on yourself! Challenge your belief systems with an open heart and a positive mind set

Endless love & happiness awaits you, seek it consciously without delay

Spirit of love is the essence of our original form; happiness is our natural state of being

Smile in the face of adversity and feel your spirit soar to new heights experiencing love, peace and happiness from this moment forward. Live as if there is no tomorrow, for you reap what you sow :) :) :)

R easons I will never know in this life though
S atan did his work in destroying family

D evil stirred the father to drink, compulsorily
E aten away was his heart from the loss; Granny
A ttended five children's needs, extra for baby
T o family members word was spread_ youngest given

Your Eyes

 (Dedicated to Folake)

Your eyes, woman
are like twilight rainbow
amorously bearing aloft passions of mine
toward androcytic ecstacy.
They tell of endless lights.

Night skies clarion the warmth of you
keep me balled-up till
i am tilted to your adorned essence.

May I call up words to adore you,
agglomerate them into a panoply of worshippers
unsandalled before you
like Moses at the burning bush.
And now you seem to fall asleep
but you tell me it's the heavy night
bidding toward a sunny dawn
wherein our love is lighted.

Slowly I let you fall asleep
impatient with the long night
waiting to gaze once more
into the eyes of my lovely love.

Then a lip is placed on yours
and you rouse up wide-eyed
smiling at my romantic move.
We enjoyed the night, cruising on.

Yesterday's Gone

H ow the years fly by like paper in the wind

A new year, a thread in life’s fabric to be sewn

P ieces gently stitched will one day take wings

P atterned like brocade with a mix of flowers gently strewn

Y arns of yesterday are quietly stored away

N ew beginings are generous gifts given to begin again

E ach one, a new day to live, play and travail
W eaving the fabric of life in spite of occasional dark rain

Y esterday’s gone forever into the well of time

E ach melody we write, through the universe resounds

A constant tune of worship for the divine
R eaching the Creator in whom alone peace is found

Ciggy’s day out this is just another normal walk but where shall I go to the haberdashery or to the local library on this wonderful February day. I think I will start at the library and look for a book on an auto harp or maybe a book about a calliope. So I can use them in my collaboration latter today. I am a little thirsty I think I will get a soda in an aluminum can of course with no algae. Now back to my condominium I will go cuz it’s time to start my live web show.
