ASHES TO ASHES

Aware of existence, this body breathes and bleeds.
Savoring the life it is given, memories it feeds.
Heart and home, love and life, experience it needs.
Educate, illuminate, deserving through actions and deeds.
Soil rich, harvesting good from well nourished seeds.

Time does not stop, does not stand still.
Over the valleys, climbing over the hill.

Age begins to show on depths of sunken skin.
Silenced the heart that once beating, life cannot win.
Heavy the tears that fall out from deep within.
Emptiness follows, decay will soon begin.
Soil become the resting place of my brotherly kin.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, every life sees how the world passes.
You will be, as I will be, to the wind we are blown, ashes to ashes.

Never Look Back

Captivated by the rising tide, alone she stood

On a solemn piece of rock. The darkness

Lingered over; correcting her daylight.

Death in its inevitability took the form of ocean.

Amidst the fleeting light, an absence and

Neglect writhed behind her eyes,

Draining her malevolence, turning it to fear.

A tapestry of thought weaved onto her shoulder,

Lethargy strained through her. Never fighting the

Overpowering desire to sleep. One foot first,

Never look back, for the

End, is here.

Donkey Beans

Derision Powers his Desire to Repair His

Torn Status Amongst Societies Cruel Structure.

Ten Years of Relentless Torture. Sharpens the Mind.

The Kindred Spirit of Hope Relieves him of Pressure

-He'll Eat The Flesh of Those Who are Not Through Living -

Dazed, Yet More Observant of Life Than Those Who breathe.

Berated and Shunned, They Would Tear at his Clothes.

Tensing His Muscles, he took Their Blows of Malevolence,

He Aspired to Die, His Dream, A Haven of Blackness Free From

The Never Ending Torment Which Ruled His Existence so Strictly.

He'll Set Himself on Fire and He'll Burn. He'll Burn Right into The Ground.

Ghaza

Grovel for blood, grovel for blood you bastards
Hunger for bodies of innocent children and flee
Amidst webs of mayhem you throw the world asunder
“Zionists we are, all so powerful, all so free!”
And again the injustice of war compels me

To speak in anger and utterly be
I am sorry fellow poets if harshness comes with words
But the news gives me not any joy, not any glee
For the people of Palestine are now in torture
And all I can do is watch Ghaza fall to become debris

Waiting

Mountains crumble no more to be
Oceans of woe since you left me
Thunder rolls and my heart it breaks
Humbly life ends, my soul it quakes
Everlasting grief with no mend
Reminds me daily, it will not bend

Inconceivable, this pain I bear

My love's not gone, together we'll share
In lasting glory at Jesus' feet
Serenity and grace, oh how sweet
Salvation unites on heaven's shore

Yesterday's gone, tomorrow brings more
Only a moment in time we wait
Until we meet at heaven's gate

Abigail

Fleeting And With Vague Reference To Memory, Her Vision

Ruptures and Blurs: All The Lines Seamlessly Creasing

Onto One And Other. The Air Tastes So Much Sweeter When

Machines Pump the Air In And Out For You.

                                - Don't Even Have To Remember To Breathe -

Tedium Enslaves The Mindset, and Causes The Irrational To

Hemorrhage Fourth, Displacing Any Emotional Grounding, And

Eradicating Any Sense of a Self Obtained Freedom

                                  - Sleep My Sweet... Sleep -

Twisted Metal Splayed Across The Concrete, The Haunting

Horrific Sound of Sparks Generated By The Rapid Deceleration.

Only The Front Seats Remained Intact As The Frames Crumpled

Under The Tremendous Pressure. The Dread Comes Before The

Gripping Fear, The Acknowledgement of Impact Forces The

Hands To Curl Up Into Fists and Squeezes The Sweat from

Tightening Palms. Time Rushes To a Stop, and The High Pitched

Screams, Become Disturbingly Deep Rumbles.

                                     - It Hit The Back Harder -

Onset Bewilderment as a Result of the Fear. She Moves Her Hand

From The Bed, and Touches The Skin On Her Dads Wrist.

                                      - He Stokes Her Hand Gently With His Thumb -

"Abigail" He Whispers, His Cheeks Stained With The Inevitability.

                                       - His Hope For Her Had Withered -

Destiny is The Harshest Mediator of Time and Regret,

Yet It Presented Her With No Answers. She Struggles

Intricately For The Reasoning of The Event,

Never Fully Understanding Where She Was

Going, And Why She Was Going Alone.

                                        - Her Words Stifled By Mucus -

Caressing Her Head and Stroking Her Hair,

He Let The Warm Liquid Stream Down His Face.

It Made Snail Silver Lines When Reflected

Light Shimmered Through It. He Held Tight,

Delicately Supporting Her Neck.

                                         - And Laying Her Down -

                                                         - He Kisses Her Forehead -

Cancer

                                        Why do some get Cancer,
                                        When we know this has no answer;
                                        So this sickness isn't really Cancer;
Because we can not really find out the answer.
                                         So here I will answer,
For everyone who suffers from Cancer.

C Can not find the Answer
A Anger, for not finding Answer
N No just cause for this Answer
C Caring in finding the Answer
E Everyone thinks they have the Answer
R Rest in peace, Sorry had no Answer

Repugnant Shrapnel

The flood of human remains plummeting downwards. Horizon blackened, jolted from the sky. Towering waves of obscure aftermath swarm to the heavens. With a slight endeavor, kingdoms turn to squander.
Ravaging paths meet and become hordes of ailment. God’s hand has erected the retched bowels of man’s mass burials.
An avalanche of skulls,
Rain down the exhumed past of lost ancestry. Prophecies fulfilled to our graves of dispersed dead.

Final Slumber

Twisting the Misery around his Finger,

He walks to an isolated place.

Embedding his Heels into Sand, Carefully He

Offers himself to the Earth.

Lucid, Nostalgic Perfumes of a

Deceased Love Permeate his senses.

Meagrely He closes his eyes,

And Remembers.

Night time captures the Sun and

Sinks into Sand. Darkness,

Like Liquid it Slips under the Surface

Engulfing the Labyrinth of Light,

Eating the morning hue, turning it to mist.

Peace is With Him, For Now, He

Sleeps.

Swift, Agonising, Masochistic Blood Lust. - The

Ominous Black. - It's Almost Over Now. -

Ink Blots Stain his Intellect, and Form

Neat Circles of Venom, Tightly Coiled around The

Greying Matter of His Slow, Ceasing Bone Cage.

Trials of Time Pull Gravity Tighter: He Fights to

Overcome the Weight, Struggling Indefinitely To

Battle Within

She's fighting a silent battle within.
No one notices, no one cares.
She wants it to end, but not knowing how.
The torment is so strong.
In her mind she wants to die.
No matter how hard she tries.
She cant fight no longer,
Tears will flow but she will know,
it will get better with her gone.

Sweatshop Sumei Dead

She was only three years old
When she was sold, forced to
Enter a world of slavery,
Amongst other children laboring,
To glue on buttons or “flair,” to
Sew pockets on shirts she’ll never wear, or
Hats she’ll never own, a clothing drone - for them,
Orders of greedy Americans, who
Pay pennies for her hands.

Sumei liked to feel the cloth move
Under her fingers, the smooth
Material against her face, to
Envision a world of beauty in lace,
Instead of her dirty working space.

Dreams of another life, of somehow
Escaping slowly trickled away, cowed by
Angry men, for quotas she couldn’t meet. So beat
Dead, age thirteen.

The Message

I'm not the greatest of all-times, but when I'm done, I'll be an all time great in this lifetime of mine Like the late great who came before my time I will breed a new lifeline, that will breathe life like march of dimes My story lines, will bring truth life; like troops who fight Overseas, for rights of those who believe that death is life Now that ain't right! As the rich is getting richer, eating fillet me-non, while we barely feeding our appetite Night after night Survival has waged a war that gave us no choice but to battle and fight Although, we'll be all right They say we a dying breed, but that ain't right Instead we're the light to a lying greed That will enlighten life to a brand new seed A man of God indeed Freed from the Son that bleeds Like the summer breeze He's the sum that equals the amount of air I breathe The air that please A satisfaction like the birds and the bees My word's words are the keys That will fornicate with the mind and give birth to a seed A seed of social change, that'll change our social economy So shall our comradery That will bring comfort to a struggling society A synonym...similar to a civilization seeking for unity Unifying the physics of theory That seeks to explain the synopsis of a dying philosophy Similar to the Cosby X-cept my scrip-tic will speak more about our reality Like life's calamity And everything else in life that's destroying us systematically However, I've discovered a system That can mathematically destroy ignorancy And turn our state of mind intellectually I elect that He (God) selects me to be And be that man who may lead this community So that they (My Peoples) may commute with me En-route to a destination, destine towards our destiny Like we were destine to be We were meant to be "Great" like the late great that came before we. Because we are... The reflection where perfection gave birth to the definition of greatness Where great means Competent, Skilled, Well Informed, and Tremendous Our potentials are endless And only we not even the enemy can put an end to this So it's time we put a stop to this The biggest enemy of self And that's envy and jelousness Cause after this is Heaven or Hell and that's all there is A promised made sealed with a kiss Knowing this Is the next best thing since "In the beginning" In the first chapter of the first verse in Genesis!

Reaching to the sky in terror, another helpless victim of an
Inconceivable crime cries out for mercy. Blood curdles as screams
Pierce the night of London town. Who is the madman on the loose
Preying on the defenseless? The answer comes from hell…
Evil is lurking in every shadow. Do not close your eyes. The nightmare is .

A Life Lost

Angel of mine, where are you now? Hours drift away like seconds as I

Lift my somber heart and head to the heavens asking, "why, oh why?"
In one moment, your tired eyes held my gaze; then, with one kiss goodbye,
Frozen in time, forever you were gone; a failing heart will surely die,
Existing in flesh no more; yet our love surpasses death and the tears I cry.

Losing you again tonight in fragments of dreams, a heart shatters. I rely
On the memory of your smile at dawn, the scent of your pillow, your sigh
Swept softly across my ear lobe in whispers of love. I know, my tears will dry
Tomorrow under blue sky when I see you twinkle in our little boy's eye.

Lost In Thought

Now who would of thought the thoughts that would truly get the mind lost in fragile thought?
So much on our known life,
about unknown death when we laugh at others but at ourselves we really cry,
in our very own hidden truth lies,
amongst our own poeple who we defy,
until we fight,
for wrongs for personal rights,
**** the darkness is what make us appreciate the light,
I dont talk the talk nor do I walk the walk because I walk my talk while I swagger and swerve im my talks through these walks,
Life can get so messy with death that its time for those of us here to grab the broom so God can mop,
I live life to the fullest with what little I have because I dont have a lot,
I live life shitty sometimes like almost everyone else like it or not,
Im not special Im so unique Im individual with word talent I know I got,
I know what I dont have so its important more knowledge among me is sought,
I can be wrong half the time but can still make it 100% right I was self-taught among a young soul that seems to be bought,
I got a bad limp but dont get me wrong I can still gallup through darkness while I jog lost in the early morning fog waiting to be patiently found in the midnight lounge where I trot,
Truly lost so easily in profound hard thoughts litterally running from the cops waiting to duck and dodge from open gunshots,
Bodies and shells drop where caskets are made among a dying crop,
I can still make a splatter where there was just but a tiny dot,
I used to have merely nothing now atleast I can truly say I have a safe spot,
I was found looking for truth in lies lost in thought....

Every time I miss you more

Everytime I Look Around The Corner

I live a life in a place where alcohol violence reigns supreme/
over a dying culture split in se7en groups of se7enty times se7en of rival teams/
I hear my brothers hollers I hear my sisters screams/
I see people live among broken glass like that of many broken dreams/
I sometimes wish I could not see what my two eyes sometimes see/
I cant act blind as if it were just a brush off my sleeve/
The more I lose in life the more it seems the less I need/
I try and overcome my own selfish greed/
I got a child on the way I now look at what kind of role model I'd be/
I was was incarcerated so I must not take for granted for the simple fact that Im free/
But it hard with tattoos on my face in place where tattoos like mine seem a disgrace/
Lord watch over me as I take last place in this life game race/
It not a matter of being first second or third Lord cuz all I need iz your grace/
help me to better walk off this destructive road and slow my pace/
Just take me now if Im done with your purpose if thats the case/
Because I dont want to live like I got to look over my shoulder right around the corner....

The Other Visitors

Tonight, save me and wife and child from thee
Haunted horror our home assumes to be
Enchanted with evils, souls hell has freed

Oh God, thy neck is tired and hard to hold
Tyra...my wife, and child walk old of cold
Hath they, the dark; homeless, grotesque and bold
Entered at ease our evenings to ahold
Reaping our grand estate as ghosts paroled!

Vanish thy presence, hither not, visitor
Ill souls, why bring forth this inquisitor?
She speaks to me a low and lurring breath
I notice now the fog below my breath...
To be or not to be, I question death!
Oh God, must I travel her telepath?
Reciting how death of sick wife and child
Seduced a rope that my neck so beguiled

Grieving

“a journey we do not ask to take,
but one that occurs with death”

Gone is your physical embodiment of life,

Remembering memories of our time together,

Inability to comprehend you’re not here,

Exploring my feelings, feeling your soul,

Very difficult journey to a new reality

Is not a problem to be fixed but an experience to live through.

Not forgotten but-

Gone forever

Last thoughts

Minding your own business,
In the sea.
Along came a ship,
To kill me.
They’ve chased my father and my mum,
They’ve killed my grandparents,
And their son.
These little people,
Who carry a gun.
Are totally committed to killing my son.
They don’t seem to fear,
Or care.
No matter how fast I Run,
I can’t get away from that gun.
I should go lower into the sea,
2 miles deep ,out of their reach..
But I don’t Dive Dive Dive,
I’m not a sub, in the sea,
I’m an animal life and should be left be.
I don’t have missles upon my back,
Or torpedos , to shoot back.
I can’t defend and I can’t attack,
I don’t even want to fight back.
I may as well wait here, to get shot in the head.
And my flesh stripped, from my body in strips.
I don’t know why I have to die,
My son and my, sister and my mum, all died under this same gun.
In to breach goes a round now just darkness and no sound.
Now I’m on their ship,
Knives and scalpels take me to bits.
Now theres nothing left of me
Just this poem I leave for thee.

Nelson Mandela

Many born will choose paths in search of glory and fame

And after the dust has settled, not much value remains

Nelson “chose” with open eyes and a passion-filled heart

Despite physical pain and degradation, love kept his soul apart

Evil, he shunned when it would've been easy to embrace

Love, he championed throughout the marathon race

And now at last, peacefully, touched the finish line!

Monkey see, Monkey do

You cried wolf, I answered in a rash impulse. You screamed out loud so I got
quiet and ran all about. I wanted you to stay, but you ran so far away. I felt like I
had been led astray.
You were my life, but you say things differently late at night. I called
you, but I can’t utter a single word! I gave you less than you deserved! I tried
working things out. Yet I didn’t realize you would find the real truth out.
I could walk away while you had the courage to stay. Even when we
seemed we were miles away. We we’re even closer than every break of day.
Then the devil’s came back with reinforcement to destroy us, but we had nothing
further to discuss. I watched our life turn to dust!
I love you so, but I can’t breathe in this undertow. Through it all I will
always cherish you. I cried for help because of the way I felt. Still you ran back to
them. I guess no matter how hard we all try we just can’t win.
True feelings aren’t supposed to die. I guess true love lies with your
friends, and real love only weighs thin. Falling for you is my only bleeding sin. I
was your only true friend!

On the Death of Richard Holbrooke

Rough seas, brimmed with foam, shall rage in silent shadows now
Inconsolable love, the great oarsman is no more
Corridors of power heed this dying! void's the bow;
Helmsman gone, gone suddenly the statesman, and bleak oar
Against the breakers, parody of tyrants dooming
Reason and concord. All our weaving, our fortressing
Dented and denied, the bright unprophetic building

Canticles of prayers and praise here balmless falls
America has lost a true son whose life enthralls

Humanity around the world, the bells are pealing
Our man in the shadows had his heart ripped away
Loyalty was not enough, the white salt entered him
Broke the mast, and docked the ship amidst the far away
Rocks, call the lighthouse home, death fogs the signal, and dim
Outlook makes us take note, his task was no easy one
Ousted sanity and trust, cry now! Watch at the brink,
King ego has no friend to solace fear or atone
Embattled words and world, Richard is gone, and dreams sink.

I Heard an Angel Speak

"I heard an angel speak last night and he said "write"

Hearing this made my heart sing and my soul contrite,
Each time I visit the resting place of so many bones.
Angelic statues look upon me, those of granite stones.
Recalling the words they said to me was so intense.
Dreaming was not a factor, for I was indeed awake.

Angels spoke to me and said write a poem from hence.
Now I pour my soul and spirit into words without forsake.

Angels, the army of God, guard the Heavens above us all.
Nearer to God, we all know they are, answering his call.
Graves are the resting place we visit our loved ones on earth.
Even though we know their souls traveled with loving worth.
Listen in the quietness and your ears will hear them speak.

Seek behind the shadows, be not afraid, and do not be weak.
Prepare to listen to beauty of nature that visits each day.
Every flower and tree holds the power of eternity’s way.
All your saddened heartaches will disappear, upon your listening.
Know the fervency I have found, in Angels eyes glistening.

Of Pink And Grey

Before I
        Confess the crime you
Could
        Turn a blind eye to,
Tell her
        Not to judge
How much
        You based on
"I loved"
        Truth
To be
        Told,
A part of
        The lying claims
Her life
        Meant nothing, so
I lost
        The argument hence
My
        Remaining
Voice
        Killed --

Just as a man
Of joy and laughter not filled within
Speak not of the pain and destruction you felt
Held it in all these years...why, we could have helped
Up, we could have held you...but you never spoke of it, for this was unknown
All of it...all of it...none it known.

Admiral Cardula VI

A legend that has been used and abused so much,
Deals with the undead, blood drinkers as such,
Many stories from all over the globe are told.
I have seen every movie, ever made and sold.
Real Vampires exist of this I am so very sure.
An evil form, well maybe, and without a cure.
Legends all begin with some sort of partial truth.

Can anyone definitely be sure there are no such things?
Ages have past and we still find new creatures on earth.
Realistically I cannot believe all the tales that clings.
Dracula the most famous Vampire for all it is worth.
Unites all the lore, that humankind has believed.
Listening and embellishing, has been what perceived.
A soul taken, by another has to be evil, they all sleuthed.

Victims of such a violent death are bound to be evil.
I would expect more from today’s world, less medieval.

Animal Abuse

..."Animal abuse should be a felony."

Animal abuse should be a felony.
No creature should be beaten, tortured, and abused.
I have never known how anyone could be
Malicious and demented, so cruel and unforgiving.
And for what, what is the reward for you,
Laughter for a moment, looking big, showing off for your crew.

Animals, I have seen,
Bloodied, beaten within an inch of their lives, dying.
Unloved, unwanted, neglected, abandoned
Starving for food and love, in my head I can hear them crying.
Every little piece of love is needed, every little soul needs fed.

Last Walk (acrostic)

Late afternoon, on a June day, I took a stroll.
Another day like any other, but soon no more,
Shaded area before, darkened my heartfelt soul.
Talking to him, just a few minutes before, the roar,

We were pals, my little canine friend, poet and me.
Always together, except, when truck came speeding.
Listening, this terrible sound, how could it be?
Knowing the worst, I carried him, my heart pleading.

BACK TO SCHOOL

They all look happy after school
He suddenly lose all that glow after school
He now sees reality flashing as the school time end
It’s time to back where his roots lays
She is also showing signs of sadness
For her going back is even harder
Far but it’s nothing compare to the pain
The pain of looking after her brother
His eyes tell the story hidden from his cute face
The looks many says he pick from his mother
Their parents have passed after a hard fought sickness
The same sickness that he is living with
Some say their parents were bewitched
But she knows the truth as her brother look upon her
She is ready to do anything for him like lioness fighting furiously
As her mother’s words ring to her ears;
‘Look after your brother’
The days are even longer then months
The months are years to them
Only Sundays are a blessing to them
Playing is not for them as many fear them
Consumed by fear all they do is read their books
Deprived to associate with other kids
Loneliness crept and engulfs them like a dog in the wilderness
It’s back to school

School for young brains to be nurtured
But a child so young with an old brain
He too wanted to play and live normally
She too would have enjoyed doing her hair
Living in a free country yet nothing is free for them
Having rights that will not bring food on the table
But her father contradicted this thought
As he said “always see this as an opportunity to success”
Only success can give them the life they envy to live
A life of being happy
A life of being accepted for who you are
Even now they wait and live by the hope
The hope of getting this grant money
Hoping that their granny will get back
Back to their simple and haunting house
The house so controlled by fear and shame
House that gives birth to pouring tears
This is their house and burden for life
This is the house with no breadwinner
They are the only survivors in this house
They will be the corners of this house.

Ivy Smith

I is for idyll in the way that at 91 years of age my grandmother took such care, attention and pride in her appearance and her home.

V is for vanity as my grandmother was always immaculately groomed, her hair always looking pristine, full face of make up, how fantastic at that age.
Sometimes I think I should take a leaf out of my grandmother's book.
I can see my grandmother nodding in agreement.

Y is simply yearning to have my grandmother still here.

S is savour, I savour those laughs we used to have together, especially talking about my grandmother's war days and her lodger's she took in during the war.
S is also for secondary care. When you get to those senior years in my knowledge most only receive secondary care, except for my grandmother who had exceptional care, love and attention at the hands of her two lovely carer's (or minder's as my grandmother used to call them) Ellie and Angie thankyou for caring.

M has to be for memory, as my grandmother had the most amazing memory. A better, sharper memory than me and my mother joined. My grandmother had the sharpest, quickest brain. M is also for my grandmother's amazing courage and spirit throughout her life.

I is for intelligence, as you could always hold and keep an intelligent conversation going with my grandmother.

T is for tender, as my grandmother was gentile, and affectionate as well as being vulnerable and sensitive. My grandmother was also non-judgemental, she never judged me on being a lone parent.

H is for hereditary for my smith nose, for my grandmother's sense of humour, and of course a hug. Grandma I send you a hug from myself and Daniel.
On a lighter note, on telling Daniel my son of his great-grandmother's death, I said great grandma has died and gone to heaven in the sky.
Daniel replied "only animals go there"
I said people go there too
then Daniel replied 2but the beds are to small"

BYE GRANDMA

Dearest Grandpa

Drops of rain, splash at my feet
Every time I see them I'm reminded of you
Always working so hard and true
Realizing that I held your heartbeat
Every now and then your smile would creep
Showing me the love that I knew
Truest form of compassion as I cooed

Growing up through the years
Rain would suddenly give me a fright
And this saddened me for many a day and night
Never had I experienced these type of fears
Don't you remember holding me and loving away my tears
Paw Paw I miss you so much now; you making those delicious hash brown bites
And although you're gone, I'll see you soon in Heavenly Sunlight

Death
A mystery one cannot define.
Class means nothing to you
As you take both rich and poor.
Timeless you are as you visit anytime
You bring sorrow and never joy
You are invincible yet very potent
You dwell in Circumstances and nature
It’s impossible to stop you when you strike
Where is your sting you mystery
Mystery of the dark
Mystery of mysteries
Mystery never welcomed
I wait for my time as no one is exempted
An appointment we all must keep
It’s not far

Everyday worse then the last
Anybody going to save me?
Real life is a nightmare

Internal struggles
Stop caring

Enjoying nothing
Very little matters
Everyone is gone
Ready to leave
You wont care
Why isn't anyone
Here to stop me
Even though the end is close
Ready is one thing I'm not
End... Such a sweet thing

Love's Reverence, a cover of ''A Boat Beneath A Sunny Sky''

Chivalrist of pure intent
Honoured by the ears that lent
A tale recounted to content

Resplendant wonders brought to ear
Laments that draw an unseen tear
Evasion of the heart's deep fear

Soft young mind and placid eyes
Lucid to the tale's disguise
Unseeing the truth behind the lies

There upon the golden water
Wimsically listening to the lauder
Inclines the middle Liddell daughter

Days have come and years have passed
Golden evenings couldn't last
Erosionary time has swept too fast

Dreary dawns and bitter nights
Overcame the muse's might
Dead and gone, that fragile light

Greiving when his heart was tore
Secreted to land of lore
On through Wonderland he'll soar

Now to dream forevermore

Yesterday Became an Empty Shell

Yesterday, before I found your love, life seemed dim and days grew dull.
All I ever did was mope and cry; without true love, I thought that I would die.
My future faced each stumble fearlessly, artfully; I was an empty hull.
Troubles ripped my soul most every day; lost in your pain, I could never fly.
Seemed that problems never found a lull; steadily streaming to my throbbing skull.
So, sometimes I’d stop and scream for you, oh, perfect love, the angels sigh.
Far beyond all hope is Heaven’s flight from hopelessness to eternity.
Away I’d fly, free from the lonely plights; too many nights without love’s band.

Now, it seems so very long ago; that time when hope would never grow.
It was impossible to understand how your precious love could help me stand.
Looks like love came knocking evermore upon loves’ door with her face aglow.
As if the dawning light would never come, should life return with one command?
Though my days with you by death grew dim, forever love, more than a whim.
They're here within my heart and mind to stay, sweet memories of yesterday!
Here I dream; kissing your face again, thinking life is grim, oh sweet cherubim.
To forever your sweet smiles have flown; I am left all alone; all I do is moan.
Stay close, my love, I need you, now. Comfort my dreams; I will not groan.

Oh, I know your love could lift this empty shell from the depths of hell.
I need you now; please come somehow; I beg you, now…I beg you, now!
Believe, and miracles will come your way; that’s what they say the Scriptures tell.
In the future life beyond the Vail before our Lord each head shall bow.
Yesterday we two walked together cheerfully; but yesterday became an empty shell.

Treading Sins Away

Sensing each step I persuade my body onward and up.
Trekking up toward the light that adorns a precious cup,
Angels around sing gentle sounds, I never heard before.
Imagining the beauty that awaits me past that golden door,
Reality sets in that I am rising upward to Heaven’s gate.
Why oh why, have I been chosen to be given this fate.
Again I see the Angels floating past my mortal soul.
Yelling praises to him, our Lord, I met a mortal goal.

Truth is what they said, even though I had sinned many ways.
Only the living truth will deliver you upward, glorious praise.

These steps I take I see all my sins on each tread that I take.
Hearing forgiven, forgiven, my soul gets lighter upon the wake.
Evangelical songs being sung, I pray, in his name, for my sake.

Stairway brightens as I reach the top, hearing a question, I stop.
Tell me, your saviors name, He who died upon the hilltop.
Angels await my answer, tis a simple question that he does say.
Reveling, Jesus I say, he took our sins, saving all upon that day.
Seeing in my heart, I believed, he said come forth, cross over this way.

ACROSS THE STREET

Man live by the power
He sees more power now
Many have power to leave
He powers himself up
Powered by the courage
He ponder all the opportunities
Opportunities that were bestowed
The opportunities he never took
Across the street he sees many
Across those tamed streets
He sees life taken to him
As a dog bark for food
He looks in despair and shame
As a rat caught on a trapped
He wants to fly like a free bird
Across the street is his home
A home shares with thousands
He wants to go back to that simple home
A home that he will find joy
There across the street he lay dead
Dead of cold winter and shame
Today he shall find joy
The only joy he long for years.

Joy Is By Far The Way To Be Good

Journey across
Oblivion's gate
Your soul is what lies in wait.

If you accept my challenge you must
Succeed in traveling through Oblivion completely.

But if you fail it is
Your wife's soul I will take.

Far past the entrance to the
Afterlife must you go.
Rely on nothing-trust no one. All here is meant to keep you here.

The halfway point has come and gone. From
Here on out your journey gets
Easier.

Wind your way past this last obstacle
And
You'll have reached the end.

To journey your way through
Oblivion complete has not yet been done...

Bring yourself to me, clever man, and
Everything I have done with be undone.

Goodbye, Traveler. May your journey through
Oblivion have strengthened your soul, and taught you what most men
Often cannot learn.
Death did not touch you here, and you leave here with my blessing.

Honestly, I do not know how to exist most days.
I survive each day, with memories of,
Damages done in battle.
Destruction, chaos, horror;
Everywhere I turn I see violence and death.
Nightmares haunt me every night.

Wounded warrior, you cannot see my scars.
Over there is where my mind returns to;
Useless is how I feel sometimes when the tears flow.
No, you may never understand my battle,
Demons surround me always, invading every safe place.
Survivor; I served for freedom’s sake.

The Unknown Soldier (acrostic)

Tales of heroes beyond, the normal despair of war’s plight,
Hearing of these stories, make us all quiver, in the night.
Each of them that go to fight, any battle, with all their might,

Universally, they are unknown soldiers, until names are released.
None knows the others, until their soul’s battle, against the beast.
Kings and political heads, never battle, for what they believe.
Never placed in harms way, they send soldiers; Mothers grieve
Only the loyal subjects take on the heat, from what they weave.
We honor, the Unknown Soldier, without any name, to perceive.
Nearer to God, these soldiers are known, here only deceased.

Secure, they have left us all, until the next battle to be fought.
Onward, we keep sending those to die, for what, a thought.
Listen, to all the stories, we hear of bravery, by them all.
Dear sweet Jesus, take them to your father, standing so tall.
I never fought any battle; I fight my battles with expressions.
Each of us must remember, soldiers, in their professions.
Remembering, who they could have been, not just impressions.

Where on Earth Can I Be

Startled at waking beneath a gold gilded tree.
Thoughts quickly ventured through my mind, magic?
As wonderment asked, “Where on earth could I be?”
Intelligence knew a gold tree held no logic.
Rainbows and leprechauns pass through children's dreams.
Was I awake? Where was my reality?
Altogether lost in fantasy far away?
Yes, that must be it, a nervous breakdown.

Totally prepared to call my shrink, I shrieked!
Over the rise, I saw figures dressed in white…redeemed!

They came gliding through the clouds, oh, mental help!
Heaven had descended or so it to me seemed.
Exceptionally weird was their sight amid stars.

Spacemen dressed in white smiled and cheered.
Tomorrow we shall relate your eternal fate.
And you shall know all about the gold gilded tree.
Remember all those stories about evolution.
Surprise! The stairway to the stars goes through Mars.

Malfunction

Malfunction

my journey hath been
a dusty road at best
leading in many directions
finding no place to call mine
under the stars, I continue on
nature ignores my plight
creatures stare in disbelief
that one has seen so much grief
in a world of magical beauty
once upon a time I feared death
now I welcome it with each breath...

Accountability by Ulyssa Vinarta 8th grade

Andy was driving.
Caused a
Car crash
On the highway.
Unbelievable!
Now
That
A friend has
Been killed.
It has caused chaos
Leading him
Into
Taking responsibility for his own actions,
Yet, he still blames himself.

Paint With Fire

Proud is the flame that reaches to the sky.
Angels spread their wings and begin to fly.
Into the heavens rising and reaching,
Never ending and always teaching.
Tell me of your ancient ways.

Wings the color of fire kissed skin.
Invigorating the energy from within.
Trembling hands that manipulate the pain.
Hold me in your sheltered arms again.

Free me from the burning agony.
I seek out refuge, angels come save me.
Revive my spirit from a life in which it was torn.
Embracing another life to which I am now reborn.

Never feel sorry

A man shed his tears like;

A tree shedding its leaves

He today shall leave the lake of sorrow

Today his soul will move to heavens

He looks at his former love with shame

Looking back to all the moments they shared

He quiver with sorrow and despair

Now death is lingering like a hungry snake

Neither the surroundings can help soothe the pain

All is gone like words eluding those wet behind ear

Thou they share the same breath now

They can never share the same thought now

He tell her never feel sorry and he die with a smile.

Happy Birthday

A birthday present to my Gramps, Hugh McCorkidale Young.

Heaven has a place for you
Unswaying was your faith in such
Goodness always will shine through
Holding on to that has been my crutch

Many others knew you well
Cokey, heard of through the town
Countless tales they had to tell
Of all the men, you held the crown

Real though it is, it's hard to believe
Know as I do the ways of the world
In the fact that you could ever leave
Darkening my mind till my thoughts unfurled

Aloud, I cannot bring to bear
Lonely I must hold my heart
Even by myself I fear
Your absence will tear me apart

Onwards though the world must move
Unendingly your memory will stay
No-one has forgotten you
Gone though you are, you'll never fade.

Reprehensible by Garrett Murtagh 7th grade

From the perspective of the main character...

Regrettable decision that I made
Early in my life.
People calling me murderer.
Regretting that terrible day.
Everyday I look at my peers,
Having to lie to them. Secretly knowing...
Everyone knows I am hurting. I'm
Not really okay!
Still hating myself!
I can't look at myself!
Behavior slowly changing...
Incredible pain!
Living through that terrible
Event everyday.

Windblows

Turning over and over through the
Hours, my friend. My
Eyes see yours and I know you’re here.

When you say “will you still come to see me when
I’m alone and
Not how you remember me?”
Do I know you enough to know?

But, see…
Like when the trees bend,
Or when the rain falls…

What am I
Saying?

True love waits? What the
Hell is that? I was beginning to think the only thing I’d
Roll
Over for would be for a good Cheetos bag.
Upon that occasion, I’d be sure to look
Good for the cashier at the local store.
Hallelujah!

True love waits? What the
Hell is that? I don’t know
Everything, but I know something.

Trees bend.
Rain falls.
Everything dies,
Everyone dies,
Sooner or later.

And the only way out
Now is to
Die before something else can kill you.

Stop
Telling me about something
Other than me. My concerns. My
Pathologies. And for God’s sake
Stop saying “true love waits!”

Don’t you have somewhere
Else to be? No?
Are you lonely? Ah, I see.
Damn you. Leave me be.

Sooner or later, all
Things die. But…
I’ve got to admit you’ve taught me something. I
Learned that all things somewhere, someday also
Live.

Violent Dreams

Let your body take over and your mind escape
welcome to the darkness of sleepless fate,
Walking on the clouds with people you admire
your soul is a plan with the darkest desire,
Fighting the awakeness is pain passing time
your soul is a dream released by your mind,
A place across the ocean where dreams never end
once you let go the vanishing begins,
Sealed eyes wide, caught up in a moment
your spirit leaves free as your body stays lonely,
Reach the dark side where voices are unheard
where the good and the evil get what they deserve,
I'm never going back, my time is to stay
my spirit drifts away as the voices fade,
Closer and closer the immortal calling
my body awakes as my spirit keeps falling,
Till I get the hint my time is forever
I'm never going back to the ones that I treasure,
I'm stuck in a dream caused by violence
In a wide wooded bed living with the silence.

Fourth of July

For many years this day was one
Of my favorite times of having fun.
Until this date in Sixty-two
Ripped into my heart, cut it in two.
To leave it shredded for evermore.
He would never again come through the door.

Oh how we cried, the children and I,
Father was gone, too young to die.

Just as we were planning fun by the ton,
Urgent phone call and all was done.
Love was forever snatched away.
Years have gone by, it still hurts today.

On this road again, wasting time.

So good to see you once again.
We could sit and talk about it
Forever.
Or continue on with the journey
Down this road of entity.
It’s a long way
Before we get there.
Many bridges we will ravage,
Before we come home.
We’ll signify on the way,
There is so much ahead of us
I don‘t want to miss.

Look at those meager souls
Out there in the distance,
Bedeviled.
They seem so vacant.
Can’t they discern?
Through his eyes they will see tranquility.
To conceive a path on the way.
A passage to convey with immunity
On their way home.
Everyone will want to see.
Surely this, they will miss.

As i turn from the distance
To see you beside me,
My focus seized by a reflection.
The shine of deity
within your eyes.
Darkness has receded,
Skies filled luminous red and purple.
The end of the road is sublime,
Over those gates peer into ecstasy.
Hope to identify her facade.
Cant wait to meet him.
My own sea of rebuttal
Needs to be set in place.

Drifted soul in the shadows
Squint toward divinity.
This road is far too long
To be stricken with reason.
He doesn’t believe you can’t see.
Surely this, you will miss.

14

14 was when we waved goodbye,
to be set off in this world of danger.
14 was when he lost me,
and I lost her.
What a price to pay
for a mother.
What a burden to have
bare.
To be lost,
Weak,
wounded.

The lioness watches her own be
Taken away into the darkness
To the mouths of ghostly,
Dominant males.
Evil, red eyed beasts.
How can she take this pain?
This crowned,
broken heart brought before her.

She is calling them in the night.
Howling for them to come
consume her body in minutes,
alleviating all the pain
from this lost love.
Lost in the darkness.
Astray.
They are full now,
done feasting.
I’m heading back home.

The second sun
has ascended.
He is surprisingly beautiful.
A path of light and direction
I have always wanted to be.
My pathway of righteousness
Without heartbreak.
Feeling anguish now,
Wasting time again.

I’ve just now realized
all this time,
You were the howling
that’s been calling me back home.
been too far along now
In this sea of death.
Its my time now,
Its time for you to bring me home.

I Truly Wish I Could Have

Laughter, To Somewhat Understand Just one thing
Aptly, Mastering Arts Learned So long ago with self control
Seriously, Eager Headstrong Tot, not so long ago that I rolled
Readily, Steadily Running After Every Grim thing I found
Evil, No I am inwardly still trying to fathom hallowed ground
Vicious demons rip and claw and tell me not to go
Ever present, I stop and grasp right onto God, but not for show
Raring to deliver, I stop and quiver, yell and shed one tear too late

Early in the morning, woke up and put on my shoes
Must be sliding down the old river now, paid my dues
I cannot fathom anymore or any less than before
Telling me now in my heart and in my chest, open the door.

My Lord Is Risen Indeed

Master and Lord, born of such a lowly birth,
You came and lived a human life on earth.

Loved by some, hated by others,
Opposed and doubted by Your own brothers.
Ridiculed and mocked by those You adored,
Despised and rejected - Your words, they ignored.

In agony, You prayed, "Not My will, but Thine."
Soldiers came and took You, by God's design.

Rulers judged You - found You guilty of a crime,
In fury, the angry crowd screamed, "He must die!"
So they beat You, tortured You and called You names,
Eager for blood, they caused You great shame.
Nailed to the cross, for all to see,
You suffered, bled and died for me.

In anguish, Your Father turned away His face,
No tomb of Your own, buried in a rich man's place.
Dutiful friends came to mourn their loss,
Every fear they had was soon given pause.
Emmanuel - God is with us - alive forevermore.
Death has lost it's victory. The grave stings no more.

FELICIA

FELICIA (dedicated to the efforts of all on the HIV/AIDS scourge)

Rapturous ecstasy emanates from the town
Everyone, everywhere spoke of this damsel
She has just newly packed into town
Gossips could be seen around in their clusters:
"Who is she and where is she from?"

More to that, like a magnetic attraction
Felicia draws the attention of residents to herself
Wives are holding tight to their husbands;
The surely of Felicia is surely a threat.
Not even with her skimpy skirts and dresses

Felicia cuts the image of an angel
With her flawless grammar and sense of humour
The bulge of her regions make lookers apopletic
Her steps typify the menacing walk of a cat
She has all it takes for men to turn around

Society people want to have a taste of her
Women desire her to boost their ego
The mighty, the influential and intellectual inclusive
A King once offered her half of his kingdom
A Governor dangled a mouth-watering contract
A Vice Chancellor even offered her 'Medicine Admission'

Felicia suddenly became cheap and accessible
Initial ego and applause faded into thin air
She went up for the Goliaths to chew,
She came down for the crawling to lick.
She offered her body, a ransom for all
Promiscous men were happy to have their fill

Gloom, sorrow and tears soon pervaded the town
The toll of death was rising by the day
Surviving men depict postures of 'Somalian famine'
Their blood almost drained to the marrows
There was a peculiarity in their deaths
Only those who pitched tents with Felicia are victims

Soon the mist began to clear
I then could see beyond the ordinary
I'd ransacked every material available for clarity
The word of knowledge then came from ABOVE
The second name of FELICIA is AIDS

Now it's too late
To take it back because
Of your mistake. Don't
Xaggerate!
It's because you drank.

This is why you don't drink
In a car while you're driving.
Oh no! The result is a crash.
Now it's too late to take it back!

Angelic Statues

Amidst the shadows of loved ones past, there is something.
Nearer to humankind then we would ever really know.
Great and small works of stone stand watch and quietly sing.
Each one piece of art, a tribute of what heavens bestow,
Light from morning star embraces what the new day will bring.
I have seen the gracious glimmer from above as statues glow.
Carefully they watch, greeting, allowing visitors hearts forego.

Stone is their form, though love and compassion their creation.
Treasure to be found in each different Angel that you will see,
Angels guide, while guarding till the end of times duration.
Trace their feelings, embrace their love, and seek it for thee.
Unknown wonders to many stand quiet, serving salvation.
Everyone can view the power of these in a new found decree.
Sculptures by man, Gods images of faith, they give regeneration.

LENORE

My heart in pain my soul screams I LOVE YOU.
Years gone by, I still love you SO MUCH.

Happy times: I STILL FEEL YOUR TOUCH.
Eternity is such a short time.
AFTER ONLY TWENTY YEARS.
Remembering: I STILL THINK IT GRAND.
The memories: WHEN I HELD YOUR HAND.
Before your flight to heaven.
Easily: SHARING LOVES’ TEARS.
A dream of you; A FULL MOON NIGHT.
The SILHOUETTE BESIDE ME: YOURS.

Beautiful, BREATH TAKING SIGHT.
Remnant of WHAT WAS OURS.
Eventually OUR SOULS WILL MELD.
And my HEARTACHE WILL DISAPPEAR
Together again, OUR LOVE HAS HELD.
Haecceity. Separation AGAIN I’LL NEVER FEAR.

GETTING CLOSER

Getting closer to where life ends
Enlightened by faith that defeated fears
Totally surrendered to eternity
Thinking of what awaits me
Instead of fearing dreary darkness
None was done without a purpose
Going to great lengths was my desire
Caring was even more profound than feelings
Love changed bitter anger into radiant joy
Over the twinkling silvery constellations
Someone smiles showing me my reward
Entering this gate made of pure gold
Reminds this stupefied heart a vision seen in dreams

Worms Behind My Molars

While death nears, it's wintertime in my soul, my
Once vibrant spirit tires out, no longer can I
Run with the wind like springtime in my flesh. Behind
My molars, worms will feed when death comes, then I’ll
Sleep in the heart of the earth until a better day.

In Honor of Gladys Bullock, May She Rest In Peace

What a Pleasure to see you coming down the Street
Cause you were So friendly and So sweet
The nicest person anyone could ever meet
Never to do Evil did you walk your feet
Although, at times, were you forced to bring the heat
So that the bad things, We wouldn't Repeat
As you did when I, myself, of a good frienship did cheat
Being it was your Nature to always be discreet
Looking all sharp, matching from head to feet
Wearing stylish hats and your hair so neat
Proud Mama with devoted daughters to make your life complete
Enjoying good company and soul food to eat
Which you to be a part of, would do, in a heartbeat
Often, on the go, come hail, snow or sleet
For one monkey your destination couldn't defeat
Having the energy in which the Energizer bunny couldn't compete
Always Smiling, to have known you was A Special Treat
At the right hand of the Father, you definitely earned that Seat

This old man

I have sinned the lies that i have to now leave forsaken,
contradicting causing my life to fade,
that slow bullet that made that man lay,
burning down into ashes,
i will be dead soon from all these failing crashes,
i will take that blame that is going to enter my heart,
that way i will never be in the criminals of art,
i re great what i have done,
now i will be chosen as the one,
so i lay there on the floor,
they ended up finding me laying on the floor,
A guy with a bullet in his chest,
that man that killed me,
has put me to the test,
so my sins in life were a dreadful mess,
now im dead that is what that man did best

slow sucide

Running Away, becoming lost
Out in the night time
Nobodys coming home
Screaming aloud threw
a slow sucide
No one hears the screams
Nightmares lives threw my dreams
hollow and alone
I'm never gonna feel real
Trust went into lies
now threw this slow sucide

A Father's Verdict

coursing through our veins,
our contempt has reached its pinnacle.
nay! we disapprove sympathetic verdict. We
demand death by way of life! Two counts.
every breath that is taken must be
manipulated by tight cement room.
never again will your eyes taste freedom. we want your life.

Release Me (acrostic)

Release the victory of my heart; I seek the most.
Evaluate my soul’s contentment, so secured.
Let me live the life I was destined to breath.
Examine my mind the dreams are lying round.
Attack the entity that inhabits my personality.
Seal my trepidation; release my equanimity.
Examine my fantasy; allow its reality out.

Mine is a battle, inconceivable within this time.
Evangelical intervention, I wait for my genesis.

Super Villain

Superman was blown to bits out the midnight sky!
Unmasked so he could look me in my cold dark eye.
Pale horse arrives from a raging storm, standing above his lifeless form.
Enraged and completely out of control.
Regenerated as I stole superman's soul!

Viciously I murdered Lois Lane.
Including Peter Parker, for I ate his brain!
Laughing hysterically with brain matter dripping from my lip.
Lightening flashes at the crack of my bullwhip.
Anarchy fuels this hunger for annihilation.
I will not stop 'til I cause great tribulation!
Nightmare scares when people think of my warfare.....

DEATH

Death, cringe me in time's tentacles tight
Emasculate me with fears of nevermoreness tonight
Anger me with the void where friends are dust and mute
Tremble still, for the death of the saints are precious
Heaven's God is coming, and already is victorious.
                               2
Death demonic distard drought of dance
Evoke enmity's empty empire no more
Ascribed Ascended Adonai Adoration's sure
Triumph, whose troves of timeless tolerance
Hasten not high heaven's heckled hurt to thee.
                               3
Draining sense and time, the ice clad heart shrivelled drop, a vanished cloud vat
Exiting the light, silence piling mass unmoved, flew in with the bat
Amassing nothing, drought drizzled leaves fall crippled, exorcised in air
Tettered life force fled, man decomposes to dust, our hearts flinch despair
Heisted loan sense-fled, blinded dreamlng, deficit stained, the ultimate loss

The way I feel

Nothing for me
no where to hide
the light has faded away in to night

this changes everything
No love
No life
Stupid redneck open your eyes.
For so many to not know the truth is a waste
but for you not to know your own is a sin
Change has come
the time is now
dont make me wait any longer

stop burning my friends
Help me
Ive earned it
fill me with your love or go away
make the change
stop the pain
my eyes over run with your lose
my heart on your plate
my soul in you hand
the mind of an artist never given a break

Your losing me and the taste only grows
I have nothing to show
Come on man You make me ashamed!!

Hallelujah Christ Arose

Hallelujah Christ Arose

Heavenly hosts and angels with God sing.
Man, enlightened, living Truths, great joy brings.
Jesus Christ was strong; so, He came to earth.
Living to die a mortal death since birth.
Everlastingly outshining evil.
Loving all peoples and teaching the right,
Understanding God’s ways, He brought new light.
Inuring to us freedom from sins, blames.
A loving Savior, Jesus Christ sustains.
He pleased our Father and praised His name.

Charity was by His examples taught.
Heavenly Father, through Christ, mercy wrought.
Remembering Father and eternal loss.
Instead of self-love, He died on the cross.
Subjected to Satan, Christ overcame.
To earn back our lives, steady love remains.

Atonement for sin was paid on that hill.
Reliving in heaven, He won God’s will.
Omnipotent love He gave us, forever.
So we could live in Heaven together.
Eternal death by God and faith, fettered.

Rigor Mortis

          The Madness Continues

Rigid as steel he sleeps, stiff and lifeless,
Inert, a shell of a man who liked to laugh.
Gone through the valley of death him who
Once was filled with much capacity to love.
Rest in peace, brother, whoever you are.

More of the same will most certainly ensue
Out in the harsh, unforgiving desert sands.
Rue the day when leaders set forth agenda
To pursue wily enemies with phantom WMD.
In the mortuary a chaplain kneels in prayer,
Soldier takes his last, long journey home.

Happy Mother's Day

She yells for her mother but her mother doesn't come running. She yells and
yells noticing her mothers not coming. She's now thinking that her mom is out
running the streets and she'll get tired and come back to eat. She sits in her
room in this small little section. She sees something move noticing its only her
reflection. She knows her mom will be walking through those doors real soon.
So she sits there and wait patiently in the living room. So walks in the kitchen to
get a bite to eat. She looks down and to find two black feet. She throws her hands
over her eyes and screamed. Praying and praying that what she saw was only a
dream. What she saw was no dream at all and at this moment only thing she
could feel was her heart fall. She dropped to her knees, hands now covered in
blood. The blood of mother is just what it was. She never knew of such a person
that would do this to her mother, because even though her mom wasn't always
there but she still loved her. Even though they struggled with a lot of pain and
sorrows they'd still have time to work it out and be okay tomorrow. She was a
mom that tried to stay strong for her kids and even through all those trails and
tribulations that is just what she did. All because her life wasn't perfect as a girl,
she was a mother that wanted her kids to be ready for the world. They have made
it through a lot, I mean her and her brother, but one women that tried to make it
work was her mother. Well the only last words she could say. Was that she loved
her mom very much and to wish her a very Happy Mothers Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Nightmare

pale moon rises in vermilion skies
ashes and screams erupt from the pyre
lusterless eyes beseech me to join their throng
lifeless hands stretch forth from the fire
imploring me to cast off my innocence
daylight rips me from the delusion ~ pallid and afraid

William Watt

We gathered as a family this evening remembered you
Interesting how your name came up,
Long after you were gone, those who came
Listening to old conversations of love
Inspired in themselves a longing to meet you
Asking questions delicately about your demise
Memory mentioned the poignant details

Willingly, what was wrapped away unwrapped me
All these years of anxious alternatives provoked
Timelessly never settled the score of your loss to me
Tenure me brotherless; O pian, in your silence, recline!

Instill again my motivation to exceed the hollow ones

Mother made us her diamonds out of the rough
Infused us with her piety and strength of soul
Sufficed with sparse scraps of bread, yet we flourished
Sojourning in studies that enoble man to obtain

You came back polished beyond nuances of meaning
Over excited, I too late comprehended you were bleeding
Unstopably the transfusion of all our love away.

Flight of Icarus

Into the heavens he flew to escape his fate,
Caged in a prison cell the equivalent of death,
And so he soared above on wings made of wax;
Rising up he threw away all caution to the wind
Until the sun melted his wings, such a sorry end,
Sea awaited him as he plummeted back to earth.

Very Likely wearing that Dark green sweater

Losing Gravity

There shall be marrying and giving in marriage. There shall be planting,
Harvesting, buying, selling and building, and there shall be
Eating and drinking in the day when the Son of man is revealed; so, then,

Remember lot's wife.
After hearing the warning with chance to escape she was mindful of the
Possessions and livelihood of Sodom, which she treasured in her heart, and
Turning herself to look back she became a pillar of salt; so let not him
Upon the house whose gods are inside and Him in the field consider anything to
Return back to take it away in that day, for those who are gravitated towards
Earth shall be left, but those who look up shall be taken to where their treasure is.

Reasons for Life/ Reasons for Death

F reedom to express yourself
R easonable chance they'll listen
I t's more important than most know
E very person has his tale, everyone puts on his show,
N o need to be self-conscious
D on't expect them to be either,
S omeday maybe all the world will connect together,
A s our closest do well now,
No idea when this may happen, but I know it's likely true
D on't know, maybe you can tell me why
For all the reasons under the sun, I know not why we die
A ll things come to an end, or so they say

Y ou'd soon be bored, no taste of time, no value to life, then just was it all for?

Sids Survivor

Searching for some answers while constantly trying to ease the pain
Inquiring straight to God above, I ask him who was to blame
Despite of our imperfections, he reassured that it was his call
She was needed back up in Heaven to assist him when we fall

Sympathetic to our suffering, he tries to wipe the tears away
Understand this was his plan for she was never meant to stay
Remembering her is bittersweet, as we are reminded of our great loss
Virtually nothing helps other than knowing Christ died for us upon the cross
Instead of drowning in sorrow and pain I will try to look for the light
Visions of happy reunions ahead help to make the future seem bright
Occasionally I still have bad days; although, they get further in between
Recovery is a slow, steady process that's possible only with God on my team
