Zero

dark souls of the earth
petty crime at it's worse
getting rich on the line
you will get caught in time
what joy you must get
from being on the net
breaking into people's life
twisting it like an invisible knife
cleaning out all they have
dark souls of the earth
I can imagine your mirth
but how many you hurt
take away all one possesses
for the matter of greed
dark souls of the earth
many people you hurt

You've said it best Phyllis! It's daunting how predators prey on unsuspecting people without a morsel of sympathy. Well written this!

I read your blog, Phyllis, and yes.......it is hard to imagine that while people are suffering........someone could take advantage in such a ruthless heartless way. Great poem and subject!
