HexSonnetta:

The HexSonnetta, created by Andrea Dietrich, consists of two six-line stanzas and a finishing rhyming couplet with the following rhyme Scheme; a/bb/aa/b c/dd/cc/d ee.

You're feeling sad and blue curled up next to your phone, sitting there, all alone. He promised to call you, and there's naught you can do but wait there, on your own. You know the phone won't ring, for as the hours tick by it's clear he's not the guy. His love was but a fling, it never meant a thing, it was all a big lie. Love's an elusive dream, that makes you want to scream!

Hey, thanks for the way you showcased my form by giving the rules about it under the picture. that looks so cool. I really enjoyed your attention to rhyme and syllable count. Except for in a few little places, the meter was flawless. Big congrats in my contest.

Sometimes a passing in the night is just that a passing. It is sad when one is looking for love and the other just lust but I do believe it is for the best he didn't call.
