Written for W words contest sponsored by Constance La France

I write my thoughts on paper, let ink of my soul glow, amidst the grief I carry in echoing stillness, for it is through words, I’ve found healing, my muse that wrapped my aching skies, unraveling pristine poems painted with love. It all started on a bitterly blurry night, when the heat of my art streamed~ splashed with sizzling flavors of sunflower sunsets and turquoise triggers within woeful poems, and I weave letters of lentil longing across ivory sands, weaving a kinder reflection, of how my hollow hands were held hostage~ grieving in a hauntingly smoky haze of hopelessness, through wicked ways of sinister summer warmth that ruptured my daffodil dreams, like wintry coldness drifting in hues of dusky darkness. I remember serenading hope, to the blazing gales, which clouded my bones with piercing glaciers, of how I felt so alone in a castle fortified with ruined rituals and spine-tingling requiems, until the universe unwrapped your cashmere silhouette, to place riveting rhymes within lamented lungs~ in the form of sanguine sonnets, as rose-colored reveries bloom in my irretrievably infatuated eyes. Maybe, karma had a coherent chorus for twin-flames destined to cosmically merge~ as I stole the lotus moon for you and scribbled poetic odes with celestial ink, flowing as twinkling lunar lakes. You are the embodiment of the inked oceans flowing through mauve metaphors, you watched me rebirth as the queen of rosemary red runes, whirling across gracefully green splendors within your secret flower garden~ luring butterflies to waltz with swan-souls, breathing over dandelion seeds with orchestrated compassionate confessions, softening thick ruffles of darkness roaring above mountains between us; but distance means nothing when your mellifluous voice spirals as a magical mirror, guiding me back to a radiantly idyllic realm of us, where we will twirl as one, for this is the sacred story of a hypnotic heart that sparks amidst frostbitten fantasies. My love for you, ricochets through the glistening stars in the deep denim dusted night sky.

Who would steal the moon for me? Love is so beautiful. Dear Ink, your words are in high esteem. Maybe, karma had a coherent chorus for twin flames destined to cosmically merge." Now that I think about it, it makes sense. Congratulations love. One hasn't seen or felt love until they've been loved by a poet.

You remain ever as a wonder in my thoughts. How can one fill her poems with such powerful metaphors all the time! Empress you are simply matchless. Your very quote conveys how you use your poetic skill to let out your overwhelming emotions of heartache and longings and thereby derive a cathartic effect. "Maybe, karma had a coherent chorus for twin flames destined to cosmically merge~ as I stole the moon for you and scribbled poetic odes with celestial ink, flowing as twinkling lunar lakes." The poem ends on a hopeful note..... and I like it a lot...... "but distance means nothing when your mellifluous voice spirals as a magical mirror, guiding me back to a radiantly idyllic realm of us, where we will twirl as one" Hearty Congratulations dear friend on your well deserved first place win.

Your opening words grabbed my attention (blurry, blurry night). As I read your poem I felt twinges of sadness and deep pain. I also felt yearning and a sense of hope. Your poems are always so beautifully written; they captivate me with their imagery, alliteration, etc. You're such a master.I especially liked the hope generated in these words: a magical mirror, guiding me back to a radiantly idyllic realm of us, where we will twirl as one, Best wishes with the contest! Enjoy your evening,Sara

Dearest Empress, I just loved how your words echo the journey of the soul, traversing through the bleak landscapes of despair to find ultimate peace in the art of writing. I like you, I've embraced the ink as a vessel for my emotions, allowing it to ink tales of longing and healing. I liked your imagery of pain and redemption, mirroring the complexities of my own experiences. Through your verses, I find a reflection of many of our own struggles and triumphs, intertwined with the universal themes of love and resilience. Your artistic prowess is a beacon of light in the darkest hours, guiding us towards a realm where beauty and hope reign supreme. Beautiful as ever, Ink, and so distinctly different in style from my own Write poem. I like how you made it sound like love brought you to writing, which reminds me of my poem It was in September, which is about my amazing encounter with the man of my dreams. For romance, this was my favorite part of your poem: as I stole the moon for you and scribbled poetic odes with celestial ink,

Awww how sweet someone taught you poetry... Your poem is a stunning journey through the depths of emotion, weaving together imagery and metaphor to convey a tale of longing, hope, and ultimately, love. The opening lines set a poignant tone, describing a night where your artistry was fuelled by bittersweet emotions, painted with the vibrant hues of "sunflower sunsets" and "turquoise triggers." The comparison of warmth and coldness, summer and winter, creates a rich texture of feeling, hinting at the complexities within... It concludes with a sense of transcendence and unity, as your love for your beloved "ricochets through the glistening stars." This image encapsulates the eternal and boundless nature of their connection, transcending earthly limitations and reaching for the infinite.
