Winter's Bite

Ice and snow have covered reason
This place is out of whack!
Flurries, blizzards through the streets
I want my summer back!

Slipping sliding down the lane
My footsteps ever cautious
This temperature is just insane!
And the flu has made me nauseous

Days so short I wake and sleep
Like nothing in between
Oh how I long for sunny days
Blue skies and grasses green

And in a heated house I wait
To thaw and see the sun
There's hope beside the fire here
That soon the Spring will come

I love this! Snow is beautiful... if you're inside and not freezing your freaking buns off haha. Winter just arrived in good ol' Bend, Oregon so I want summer back :( great poem!
