Why am I here on the Soup I'm asked Well then, let me tell you why I'm here Firstly to enhance my grammar task To learn about poetries writing gear On arrival at this site, forms I'd hardly known But learning I sure did from many here Welcoming me to this poetry home Let me tell you what I've learnt That few words can say many things So descriptive that images paint Allowing lyrical poetry to sing What do I want being a member By doing what was taught to me To pass what I've learnt on Without tutors I wouldn't be thee Forget the trials and tribulations We're writing buddies first and most Not even family but poetry relations Simply guests of the Poetry Soup host 26/12/2015

I am most definitely not a poetry contest writer...But if I was judging this contest I think I would afford your poem serious consideration for top place. Your last verse sums up the "Soup" perfectly - Very well done, James! My best regards! :) john

Hi Jan, sadly not. Olive is 7 hours ahead of the UK. Basically, we're like sleeping ships in the night, but soon our berths will be harboured ~~ hugs ~~ James xx
