Who Knows What Lies Behind That Door
Who Knows What Lies Behind That Door?
By Elton Camp
Held by women with very little voice
Hotel maid’s not a vocation of choice
Cleaning up is hardly a barrel of thrills
It may be the only way to pay the bills
That type work, of course, has to be done
And the job is surely an honorable one
All that makes it worthwhile, I believe
Are the tips that the hotel guests leave
But the maids face danger every day
Some guests think they can do any way
Especially men who are powerful & rich
Want to treat the maid like she’s a *****
We are now seeing an example in the news
This time the maid firmly choose to refuse
But a considerable risk the lady did take
By a report of the man’s conduct to make
A good way to keep thing from going that far
If the maid uses her cart to keep the door ajar
Because when the offender is some rich snob
The innocent maid could easily lose her job
