Come, my sweet, to a far off forest frosty,
Take my hand and I will get all gusty;
Or I can be shy and gentle and slow,
The wind whispers on my window.
Come, my ethereal enchanting girl,
Let me take you for a nighttime whirl;
Come, my sweet before dawn's shadow,
The wind whispers on my window.
Let me lift you lovingly up high,
I am just the swirling air in the sky;
Do you see the streams down below,
The wind whispers on my window.
We will wander through weeping trees,
Whistling and twisting, making a breeze;
Hold my hand over this green meadow,
The wind whispers on my window.
All night we will soar until you awaken,
Then you will forget about our journey taken;
In the dawn, but a breath will be my tempo,
The wind whispers on my window.
