What use have I for words when body aches For touch to resurrect a dead desire I crave caress that all my power wakes And lips that blaze on me a wanton fire What use have I for words; they’re impotent When body writhes and burns for hands of love My mind is seared with passion, dominant that calls to flights of ecstasy above What use have I for words when hunger grips The brazen need for its satiety When trembling takes control of limbs and hips And drunken passion mocks sobriety Till words transformed to hands obey your will To storming heart I whisper: "Peace...be still!" Ah my enchantress it is words that drive desire, words that fuel our wants and needs. Helen had a face that launched a thousand ships, but no Greek even Achillies himself would have ventured forth if a poet had not first described her beauty. What passion those words must have arroused. Your words paint such pictures and arouse such emotions. They are truely potent. All my love Shane xxx

Ah...to know my words are potent is indeed a great accolade you have graced me with, Shane. As you know...I'm enamored by words....I'm also enamored by touch....These are my two love languages as described in the book, The Five Love Languages. :) Words of affirmation and touch...these constitute LOVE to me. So...Yes....I revel in words...and when coupled with touch...heaven is not far away. You have a gift for words. :) It is evident in this post...and in your poems, my dear. Hugs

I do love words, Richard. I ....collect words. I collect poetry and quotes I like....I keep letters that mean something to me. I'm a hoarder of words, but if words are no longer true....out they must go. SO....I love words....If they are spoken at the right time...they can produce....wonders! ;) But....if not followed up by touch...what's the use? Hugs
