What Do I Say...Even The Angels Weep What do I say to her, my sweet daughter, married, mother of two; her life turned upside down in a nightmare of change, such sadness and unknowns. I don't know what to say... even the angels weep. What do I say to her and to our granddaughters, sixteen and twenty-one: there are things he cannot do; he is not the husband and father that you knew. There is no hope... even the angels weep. What do I say to them while my heart is breaking also for him, dear son-in-law, no longer able to work the wonderful job he had for the past twenty-six years... even the angels weep. What so I say to my daughter; early onset Parkinson's has taken over her love. Nothing is the same; she is losing him, mind and body; he is not the same... even the angels weep. What do I say to them, my dear granddaughters. Will he walk you down the isle when that time comes? Will he see his first grandchild? He just turned fifty. How many years before... even the angels weep. What do I say to them... I have no words for my daughter and her sweet girls. I have no words for myself. Life is a wheel of fortune... Some wins...some losses. There are no words... even the angels weep. Sandra M. Haight ~9th Place~ Contest: Best Sad Poem Ever II Sponsor: Laura Loo Judged: 09/12/2016

sweet Sandra, how sad is it when we say to ourselves, "even the angels weep", that statement just hurts in and of itself. Very sadly yet beautifully written...congratulations on your placement and thank you for being a part of my contest! :)-luloo

I love this poem. So well written and it actually addresses a question I have found myself asking and have heard being asked before. "If there are angels and a God and they are so good hearted, where are they now during this war and disease and corruption and dying. your answer struck me as plausible, that "the Angels are weaping too"!

Thank you, Kyle, for reading my poem and for your positive and uplifting comments. I am very pleased that it helped with your feelings. I believe that angels are guardians and liaisons between us and God, and can be sad too when we are unhappy. Again, thank you for stopping by. Sandra

How painful a read this one is I don't know whether it follows the rules or not......My first reading I even forgot the name of the contest: The only thing I could remember were the pictures of despair and surrender so clearly painted by your words.

Messoh, thank you so much for stopping by to read my poem. Yes, it is a sad happening in our family. I appreciate your heartfelt comments. Actually, the contest ended early May, and my poem did not make the winners' list, but I am pleased that others have offered nice comments. Sandra

So shocking to see the angels to weep. Children Grand children are angels to us. Love. Sandra.
