Well, I'Ll Be a Monkey's Uncle
Well, I’ll Be a Monkey’s Uncle
By Elton Camp
Some say living on Earth I can’t be discontent
That I lived in heaven before to here I was sent
But to me that doesn’t have any familiar ring
If I ever lived there, I don’t remember a thing
Others claim that I’m a child of Adam & Eve
Somehow, I find that much easier to believe
Because old Adam didn’t behave too good
And could’ve done better if only he would
Some allow that from a lower form I did ascend
That as a hairy monkey my ancestry did begin
But that idea is one that causes me to groan
If true, let’s pray that it not become well known
