Wake Up, Darling

Upon a bed of fluffy white I reached, I felt, I kissed goodnight Her body lay there ever still Yet, I restrained with all my will She slept, she dreamed, her mind it danced Perhaps it filled with true romance But, for now, I’ll hold her tight With hopes she awakens, in the night For then the dreams, they will come true As we together, in love, renew The softness of her blanketed skin The warmth, the feel, invites me in Lifting the blanket, it then revealed Her body bare, my love then sealed Still, she lay so motionless I want this woman, I confess But, there she sleeps, so I take hold She makes me warm, destroys the cold If only she could now awaken My heart for her, no love forsaken
