Vous Pouvez Cracher (You May Spit) (In Cash Or Kind, You Can Pay)

Money is, no doubt, a necessity in our world To enjoy it requires planning, discipline and toil Apply mind, a balance, and working hands Recall time, opportunity in the wind, blows like sand Perseverance and hard work, a definite decision Contemplate in advance for a long term acquisition With self-indulgence, comes a long list of "wants" Consuming lives, destroying souls, when excesses flaunt “Just to have enough”, is the average man’s dream But not when greed in abeyance lie plotting schemes When life had fewer distractions men traded for needs Today scams-destroying nature, even genocide are seeds! Makes no difference, having a million or just a dime As our lives go in circles and we stand at this place in time Rich or poor, black, brown or white, you choose your way Because today, tomorrow, one way or the other, you can pay! *Vous pouvez cracher..Interprets as “You may spit” This catch phrase means …You can pay (In kind, perhaps w/your soul; in monetary terms- Large sums)

" Greed in abeyance" is a winning, memorable phrase. I wish I had written that. Good luck in the contest. Thank you as always. I hopew you and Jimmy are reunited soon, that you both are changed and that you both move forward together, stronger and better. That would be a perfect poem, would it not?! REgards and love from Gerard!

Hi Audrey! You sure got one tough catch phrase, but you made such a thought-provoking write with it! It really is amazing how money can make us lose focus in life, forgetting that at the end of the day, we'll be paying...thanks for the comments too--haha been trying to make the most out of the Soup as school here resumes in a week...so will have less time here again :(...you enjoy your day now! :)

Audrey, you created a great message poem from the challenge. I am just getting ready to type mine up now. YOu said so much with this one. I do not understand the greed people exhibit on this earth of ours. It makes me so sick!! I am perfectly content to just buy my thrift shop clothes (my big hobby, finding the best buys for less!) and discounts at the food market. I love being thrifty!! and I bet I'd be a bit of a tightwad rich person. haha. LUv, Andrea

That was a tough catch phrase and you excelled with it, Audrey. Money often seems to be a curse...wish we could go back to trading seeds. The barter system worked well for our ancestors. Everyone seemed to have what they needed. Well done, dear Dimples! Love, Carolyn
