Despicable

Pigtails loosen yet messed, twisted by pliant fingertips of evening’s devilry… tracing her budding breasts, embers gleam from a lamplight, dim… his jerked breathing quickens to rake this young, tender flesh--- from pink , blood red, to pale yellow... despicable! Invading her territory, the blister of muffled silence grates adolescent wails, yet… crazed feasting of desire remains. She quivers under a toppled quilt brushed in wounded cotton...despicable! And while darkness slides on metal frame, he riles, riles with abandon, grinning under a sinister moon arsenic as the sweat of male hunger to ravage a girlish body... trembling, trembling while her cupped mouth stutters, ‘Please step-dad, no!’ ‘Hush…dear baby, I am your angel, guarding you from evil wolves..despicable! Quietly, he pins the knob of conquest until the frail child's porcelain doll splatters on the floor, and then… ............. Re-Posted /1/2017 Contest: Let's Talk About It Sponsor: Richard Lamoureux

This is exquisitely powerful and sad, Nette, and I HAVE to fav it ... this really touched my heart, and that's what we MUST do if we're to change this world for the better - talk about things that people avoid, and with a LOUD voice ... THIS is a very loud voice, and such a creatively sublime one! Incredible poem ... blessings, my friend, and congrats on your well-deserved win! :-) <3

A very sad poem about the power of a coward. I have no sympathy or empathy as a dad with 3 daughters. You hit the nail on sadnesses head, nette. Congratulations!

I cried while reading this. The hardest part was where she says "Please daddy, no!" This is so tragic and heartbreaking of a piece. The imagery that you portrayed in your words, so vivid, its as if you are there, experiencing what this girl is experiencing, feeling the pain and fear that she is feeling. This is so well written, and so gut wrenching. Just, amazingly heartbreaking.

Nette, Casarah says it all below. Such, eloquent powerful imagery in your words presenting such a horrible subject and unfortunate fact of life we try not to think about. Congratulations on your podium win! Hugs, Sandra

WOW, my friend...You have proven that you can write about ANYTHING on any subject. I can feel the terror and shame of this little girl and the see the so called father 'grinning under a sinister moon'...I once read that the majority of female prostitutes and porn stars were sexually molested and that there is no 'cure' for rapists, molesters or pedophiles...Thanks for this and congrats - Tim

this was vying with ian's for first place! a very disturbing depiction of the sexual abuse of a child, and although harrowing it still has the sparkle of your unique imagery - congrats on your win in my contest, nette

A controversial poem dealing with sexual abuse which, for various reasons, very often remains unexposed. A powerful write tackled with ability and dignity; the ending speaks volumes. #7 Hugs // paul

and people say I tackle the tough subjects!! Thank God, that by shining a light on this horrid action, we can tackle the issue and teach children to speak out, for this reason yes it happens less and less, but one time is one too many. Nette this is a winner in my eyes, and an A7.

WOW, strong poem, Nette. I really like it! Should do very well with Charlotte. I just don't have much controversy style in my soul when it comes to poetry.

Woman, I was almost wrecked when I got to the last lines. You really sting subtly, then boldly; very effective it made me shiver. These men must be chained. I gotta hail you for this extraordinary poem!

Seriously, this twisted 'crime' happens and we just look away. A riveting, wrenching verse which brings me to mindful awareness of relational issues with your brave quill.

A difficult, sensitive theme which you tackled with elan. The pauses, stutters of lines, the movement of action --all these well formed.Really a vile act and still, an excellent poem.

Extreme sad picture is adorned excellently. There's something which can't be answered but can be felt sure. When darkness slides on mental frame what happens in such situation she knows only. Unexpected unpleasant and unwavering situation of helpless girl, i feel here. Good luck in the contest, my lovely friend. Loved always,bl
