Longing
Expressionless
White.
The characteristics of the first
lonely fall of winter,
mirroring the depression
that one sometimes feels
at an empty dinner table.
Meal for two,
eaten by one-
the heart yearns for
a love sitting across.
Empty seat
Vacant
Expressionless
White.
