Up, Up, and Away
Balloons carried into the blue, blue sky
Delighted little eyes watched them fly
The breeze carried happiness and smiles
Following their flight across the miles
A bit of magic as each soared away
Up, up, they went on that happy day
A kaleidoscope of red and green and blue
Their little strings waving as off they flew
One by one they sailed far out of sight
Swirling and whirling on wondrous flight
With one last wave the children turned for home
But with their balloons their hearts still roam....

note:
We had a balloon " lift off" when my children
were small. Not allowed any more because of
the environment...
