It's a New York style I'm not used to It's one I normally run and hide from I'm not used to the attention I'm normally the one fading away to nothing I freak not knowing what to do My words get away from me All I was referring to was the New York style And I was only telling ONE that understands Now only time will tell

Corrine, I used to live in New Jersey. Is that close enough to understand the "New York style"? As a New Jersey transplant who has been educated to lose her accent, it's always amazing that folks can tell I come from an urban area. We walk, talk and even think faster! Great poem, Carolyn
