He kept her in to tell the time
that she had left as Valentine.
The children came and found
her there
with shreds of someone in her hair.
She let him leave and save his face
but she collapsed in dark disgrace,
fed by the doubts of where and why,
she came back home to see him die.

before he died.
He simply smiled at her and sighed.
He turned his face back to the wall
He closed his eyes..........
and that was all.
