Un-Pop the Balloon
Un-pop The Balloon
Accidents happen as they are caused
Her favorite balloon, the pink one, popped
Little Mary Popper insisted this was not a simple matter
Like when mom and pop flushed the gold fish Sam
Just because he became a little dead
Replaced him with another Sam like friend
Deceiving their child in disgrace with replicantes
Don’t make the same mistake
This balloon was her true favorite
Not another like it found in nature
Make it better!... She cried and cried
We explained how it came to be
Your granny blew it up for you to give it life
To make you happy once upon a time
A little boy came by and popped it with a pin
Such rubber skin and fragments can't be fixed
The same air that once filled it has expired
Escaped into the atmosphere to balloon heaven
Mary would have none of this
She told her parents to fix it quick with tape and glue
Or they'll get fired
And don’t use old lady air this time
Find baby’s breath and then effect repairs
Un-pop my pink balloon real soon or I will quit
