Tonight, Forever...

Hey... let us begin shall we? Right now, now at this Moment. We can be who we want to be. Tonight, as the stars quiver seemingly As I look up over the moonlit sky In a flash of ecstasy. I end up gasping for air. My breath is lost in infinity At the sight of your still deep eyes. The universe conspires at this moment. With infinity in your stare, and the Moon watching, in modest silence... In the stillness of the present that We, of all people, can call our own, Here, we stand alone, together, in mindless Fashion. And on this night, here at last, I thank the gods for your presence. You are here with me, So be it. Let us begin shall we? The moment I move mine lips, These parched lips which thirst for nothing But you. Three words in my head Seeks its voice to be spoken, and heard. But before my mouth bursts, thwarting Movement I’ve long imagined; My hands would tremble, and seek its company... Wishing that tonight, we remain unspoken. And would my hands ever shift on And reach and try, as it fervently finds Within me the strength to seek out What we could ever be, and In a gaze captivated by your eternal beauty, Would I forever hope that in mine eyes You see everything, for what it’s worth to me. For all my words mean nothing, All too short of what I want to say. But then so be it, let us begin shall we? Too soon, the night for us shall meet its end, And the soul grieves that it is inevitably so, For every end starts the moment we Begin, like all mortal love, our tragic fate. We’d make the most of what we could be, So a touch of a hand, and look in the eye, ‘Tis all I ask, to have this second still, For in moment’s time, all ‘tis that will, Is our ever looming end, the inexorable Goodbye... So let us, shall we? Don’t let it end before we begin. Let me look unto your eyes, and may You please lovingly look unto mine. We’ll find what we could make of tonight. Let us, under this moonlit sky, let us see... If we could make of this one moment, Eternity...
