Time, Pt. 1

the countdown is captured in a locket. a constant reminder: "you're running out" whispered from my pocket. i never watched the sun exchange glances with the moon, relied on numbers for that so i wouldn't be late for you. but right now, i observe dark return to blue, silver fades to gold a sliver in the sky forms a circle whole. it's just a warm reminder until daylight retreats and a glimpse of the moon makes me ask what's behind her i'll find her answer some day; and at some moment my untimely ignorance begins atonement. unvoluntarily enter a zone of aloneness, stagnant. a meditation in which i mediate with myself, balance. yin, yang, never one for valence pieces of puzzles so i muzzle my thoughts and struggle like previous peoples lost in time, when care's tossed like a dime into a pool of wishes... wants... needs there's no purpose, go on, check the watch, continue workin
