Fantastic Tim. He was one of my idols when I was younger, playing piano and trying my best to be as good as he was. Leon Russell was a special person and his passing truly makes me sad.

Beautiful tribute my friend! I was lucky to see Sir Elton and Leon in 1973 (separately, though EJ opened for LR briefly). Saw EJ last year, but missed LR at a small venue here this spring - less than a mile from my house:-(

Thanks DT...the list of great songs, the great artists he played with, and albums played on are endless...I love Elton John's speech for him at the rock n roll hall of fame induction.
