The Tone of a Poet
the poet conditions
herself to self blame
for she writes of her life's
up's and down's
a sense of bored gents
from town to town
for she hides her grief
tucked away underneath
a torn soul in which
only she knows well
you see most great poets
are only known after hell
ah the agony a true poet lives
just to be heard unselfishly she gives
of truth dispair and in the end
who cares about a girl poet
full of gloom to be shown
as shakesphere sister
she hasn't a room of her own
